John 16: 33  These things I have spoked unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The threat of WWIII is looming as Obama wants to rush to war, with or without Congressional approval.  Putin has declared, that Russia will back Syria, should America attack.  Added to this is Iran and Hezbollah who are emphatically stating, they will “punish America,” should we act militarily against Syria.

Then throw in the threat of radiation polluting the Pacific, due to the Fukushima nuclear reactor meltdown, the mysterious deaths of birds, dolphins and fish, record drought, record rainfall, record cold temperatures, the threat of a solar flare, the unmitigated lawlessness that abounds, famines, and pestilence, and one can become overwhelmed by the events we are facing.

Jesus makes it very clear in the above passage.  In Me you might have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

It’s an incredible statement and one might read this and ask, how do I have peace when I am faced with all this overwhelming stuff that is going on!

People all over the world long for peace of mind.  Gurus tell us to chant or meditate and we will have inner peace, but does this really work?  Will taking Zanex or other prescription drugs help ease our anxiety or does it just mask over it?  Some people become workaholics in order to find “peace,” thinking if they can only make enough money their problems will be solved and they will find rest.  Others turn to drugs or alcohol to numb the pain, and temporarily find peace, until the drug or booze wares off.

Peace, comes from the Prince of Peace, one of Jesus’ many titles.  It is a free gift liberally given to us and we can do nothing of and in ourselves to make it happen.  Peace and rest come from the Lord of hosts!  He alone gives what the world and all the man-made placebos can never dispense.

When He laid down his life on the cross and shed His blood for us, everything in the universe changed.  We know that time stood still, as darkness covered the land for three hours.  We know that the dead rose from their tombs and were seen walking in the streets of Jerusalem.  The thick heavy veil which separated the Holy of Holies from the people, was torn top to bottom.  His last words were, It is finished!  With this He took back the title-deed from the Fallen One and declared Checkmate in the cosmic war, which had been raging for perhaps millions of years in our universe.

In closing todays Bun:  He knows each one of us intimately and He loves each of us where we are.  With that in mind, if we are struggling or fearful, perhaps overcome by the problems of the world, if we ask Him, he will give us what we need, peace in the midst of tribulation, for He has indeed overcome the world and the dark prince who still rules here.

OK City Update:  Richard and I landed safely yesterday, however the devastation form the Tornado is perhaps unprecedented for the city.  The death toll is climbing.  Please pray.  We will be in the area until Thursday.

The events in OK City are cause for concern and our prayers go out to the families who have lost loved ones.  The devastation here is overwhelming, as an F 5 tornado cut a deadly swath through the heartland, and it’s not over yet.  Please continue to pray.

That being said, what is looming in the Middle East is the equivalent of an F5 tornado on a military scale.  The lines are drawn, the vitriol and saber-rattling is at a fevered pitch.  At some point there will be war.  The world will watch it unfold, live on TV, via satellites, which orbit the earth and link us together.  When this occurs it will be the final tipping point in what I would consider the end times fulfillment of prophecy.  There is no way back from what is coming.  We need to get our heads around this.  If we are in the birth pains, as I believe, then what we are seeing in the Middle East, will eventually give way to the tribulation period.

Coupled with this is the call for the disclosure of the so-called Extraterrestrial presence.  I believe we are rapidly moving toward both the war in the Middle East, as well as disclosure.  Perhaps the two are inexorably linked together?

In closing todays short post:  War is coming as there seems to be no way to avoid it.  The constant rhetoric coming from Hezbollah, HAMAS, The Moslem Brotherhood, and Iran make it clear that Israel is the focus of their hate.  There is a supernatural component to this and what is unfolding is being driven by unseen forces with an ancient hate for God’s chosen people.  The time of Jacobs Trouble is coming.  However, at the end of all of this, they, the Jewish people will look upon Him whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as an only son.  The Moslem will embrace the Jew and cry out, Rise up Oh Israel.  There will be reconciliation, as profoundly unlikely as this seems at the moment.  Only Yashua/Jesus can make this happen.  When He returns there will finally be peace between Israel (Isaac) and Ishmael.

What is written will come to pass, what was foretold will unfold.

We’re still here – No Rapture?

         I am going to weigh in on this date setting of the Rapture of the church, because I believe it is a symptom of something bigger. Over the weekend many Christian sites were buzzing with a post that declared that the church was going to be raptured on the day of Pentecost – Sunday May 31st. Of course nothing happened as I believe, “no man knows the day or the hour, not even the son or the angels, but only the father.” Does that mean I don’t believe in the Rapture? Let’s set the record straight, because there have been rumors of what I believe, which have been greatly exaggerated. First of all the word rapture is never mentioned in scripture. It is the Latin word Rapturo (caught up) , which is what Paul alludes to in 1 Thessalonians 3:13-18 when he tells us,

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. ¹⁴We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.¹⁵According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. ¹⁶For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. ¹⁸Therefore encourage each other with these words.

     It is clear from the text that this event will happen. I look forward to it and my deepest wish is that it will happen before the Tribulation gets underway. But here is the danger of dwelling on this. It divides us. Are you aware that I’m censored on some Christian sites because I am accused of not believing in a pre-trib rapture? There is an element in Christendom that wants to argue as to when the Rapture of the church occurs. There are denominations that have made this one doctrine the centerpiece of what they believe, and if you don’t adhere to it you can’t belong to their church, or even sell your books in their bookstores. Here’s what I think. No one really knows. I have attended lectures by Biblical scholars with maps and charts and diagrams on both sides of the issue. Each of these scholars believing that they had figured it all out and had the scriptural evidence to prove their point. They both can’t be right can they? You can’t have a Pre and a Post tribulation viewpoint at the same time! In fact, if we’re intellectually honest, no man really knows. This seems to be evident, as I pointed out there are scholars who differ greatly in their position. What a great distraction! Meanwhile, the enemy is manifesting more than ever and the church is asleep. What an I talking about? Those of you who have been reading this BLOG for any length of time know that I believe we are poised for the greatest deception that the church has ever faced, and I make mention of it constantly. It is this, that Aliens created us, started the worlds greatest religions and now, at this critical juncturein our history, are here to help us through this next evolutionary stage. In short this is the alien gospel 101 and it is the basis of the coming deception.

        A few months ago there was a woman, Blossom Goodchild, who claimed that UFOs were going to manifest on October 14th. I BLOGGED about this saying that she was being misled. She is deceived by these entities, that lie to her. They are fallen angels who are masquerading as ‘alien’s.  

       Those of us in the church should know better than to set a date for the rapture. We have no excuse, as we are told that no man knows the day or the hour! All we do is stir up false hope and make ourselves look like a Christian version of Blossom Goodchild. In Mathew 24, Mark 13 & Luke 21, Jesus tells us what is going to happen well in advance, wars, pestilence, earthquakes, fearful signs in the heavens and men fainting from fear of what is coming on the earth. Most importantly is that the Jews will be gathered from the four corners of the earth and reestablished in their ancient homeland, Israel. We are told to watch for these signs and when we see them KNOW that His coming is soon. The signs are here and most people are choosing to ignore them. The enemy is manifesting all over the world, as the supernatural is becoming more overt. He grows bolder because he knows his time is short. Yet the church, seems to be blinded as to what is happening all around her. We are told to watch and be ready. To be able to give an answer in season and out of season. We are not instructed to argue when the Lord gathers us together. That is focusing on ourselves and not those who are lost and don’t have a clue as to what is going on. We know the Middle East is heating up again. North Korea is ready to launch another IBM. The Russians are moving troops on the border of Georgia and ships in the Persian Gulf. Iran presses forward with their ambition to develop a nuke. There is talk of a one world financial system a global currency. UFOs are seen all over the world… Wake up and get your head out of the sand!

              As long as I am here I will continue to sound a warning and will do so until the Lord takes me home, or in a twinkling of an eye, meets me in the air…

Famed pastor predicts imminent catastrophe

This post came to my desk no less than a dozen times yesterday. While I have no idea of whether this will come true or not, I have decided to post it in full here. Is New York “Babylon” that is referred to in the book of Revelation? Is it a type of Babylon that Peter refers to in his letter – She who is in Babylon greets you? Does this code word – Babylon – apply to us today. Does it reflect the system of the world? Is Wilkerson a modern day prophet that we can trust? Has he been accurate 100% of the time? We will watch and see what happens. 

      I will say this however, I believe that we are moving rapidly toward the time of Jacob’s Trouble, or more commonly known as the Tribulation. I think we’re in for some very tough times ahead. Here’s the story, judge for yourself….

A respected pastor, best-selling author and founder of a major ministry to teens predicts an imminent “earth-shattering calamity” centered in New York City that will spread to major urban areas across the country and around the world – part of what he sees as a judgment from God.

David Wilkerson, author of “The Cross and the Switchblade,” a book about his ministry to troubled New York street kids that was later made into a movie starring Pat Boone, tells readers of his blog this weekend that he is “compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message” about his prediction.

“An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen,” he writes. “It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble – even the godliest among us.”

Wilkerson’s vision is of fires raging through New York City.

“It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires – such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago,” he explains. “There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting – including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Wilkerson is the founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York City, where he launched a ministry to gang members and drug addicts in 1958. He is a highly regarded mentor to other pastors in evangelical circles and travels the world holding conferences for other Christian ministers.

His work in New York in the 1950s and 1960s led to the formation of Teen Challenge – a nationwide ministry to reach out to people with life-controlling habits. Teen Challenge has grown to include 173 residential programs and numerous evangelism outreach centers in the United States, and 241 centers in 77 other countries. The program claims a recovery rate of 86 percent.

The story of Wilkerson’s first five years of ministry in New York is told in “The Cross and the Switchblade,” a book he co-authored in 1963. The book became a best-selling phenomenon and more than 15 million copies have been distributed in over 30 languages.

“God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations,” claims Wilkerson. “He is destroying the secular foundations.” Wilkerson urges everyone to stockpile a 30-day supply of food and other necessities to deal with the catastrophe he foresees.

“I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off,” Wilkerson concluded in his message. “I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose.”

A past vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention is hoping believers pay attention to Wilkerson’s message.

“I have known David Wilkerson for more than 25 years as well as many of his friends and associates,” said Pastor Wiley Drake. “He is a godly man and I believe he is listening to God. I encourage each Christian to read and heed what God is saying through our brother.”
