“He would have died just for you, if you were the only person on the planet, He would have come to save you.”
“His Death heals our brokenness.”
Romans 3: 25
New Living Translation
For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,
English Standard Version
whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
Berean Study Bible
God presented Him as an atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood, in order to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had passed over the sins committed beforehand.
Berean Literal Bible
whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness, because of the forbearance of the sins having taken place beforehand,
New American Standard Bible
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
King James Bible
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Last night I had a nightmare. I was running away from some demonic entity. The thing chased me, as I was running up a spiral staircase. I couldn’t outrun it and as I stopped on a landing to catch my breath, the thing caught up to me. Immediately, in my dream, I began to say: The Blood of Jesus. The thing reached out to give me something but I did not take it, as I continued to rebuke it. It turned and fled back down the stairs. Then my Wifey shook me awake.
The shed blood of Jesus, which poured forth from His broken body as He hung on the cruel Roman cross, changed everything in the universe. It spells the doom of the fallen Cherub’s kingdom.
It opened the gateway for us to once again have a relationship with Father God. His shed blood paved the way for the Holy Spirit to come and indwell men and women, something which had not been given.
He came to die just for you and me even if we were the only two people on this planet He would have come to save us.
Jesus’ death heals our brokenness. “By His stripes we are healed.” It is His power, the power of His shed blood, which not only atones for our sins but holds back, keeps in check our depraved sin nature.
Every person on this planet is broken in some way. The sin nature has corrupted every person, we are all caught up in it, to a greater or lesser degree.
The blood of Jesus not only cleanses us from sin but gives us His power to have dominion over it.
So with all of this in mind. This is why we worship Him. This is why we lift our hands to our redeemer in praise an adoration. We willingly bow our heads and bend our knee to the One who was sent, by the Father, to save all mankind.
There is a redeemer and He lives!
