If the Son sets you free you are free indeed!

John 8:36

Getting Free can Come with a Price!

In the course of ministering over the years I have seen people get free and then go right back to the same addiction, cycle of depression, abuse, old habits, or whatever they have been delivered of.

The enemy comes to rob, kill and destroy and he hates when the Son sets us free.  Getting free can come with a price and sometimes the enemy of our souls want to derail our new freedom.

Yashua/Jesus came to set the captives free.  He has the power to do this and we read about this in the good news of the Gospels.  However, what most of us don’t get, is that the enemy will seek to destroy us at our new birth.  He will seek to put us back in the box of whatever the Lord has set us free from.  Some time he might wait a year before he strikes.  Other times it will be right after the Lord has set us free.

This pulling and tugging from the enemy takes place in our minds.  We are told in James 1;14:  But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.…

I’ve blogged about this numerous times and will do so again, that we must learn to take every thought captive.  It’s only by watching what we are thinking and rebuking what doesn’t mesh with the word of God, that we can stay free.

We also must learn to flee when it’s appropriate to do so.  In other words if a person was set free from cocaine addiction without withdrawals and then meets  his former dealer at a party, this may be a good time to flee the party! Run for the nearest exit!

There are certain movies I won’t watch or take in to my spirit man.  Thor II, is a perfect example.  We got up after half an hour and bailed.  It was dark and demonic and I wondered to myself afterward what I was doing there in the first place.

As a Watchman I wanted to see both Thor II, and Maleficent.  Peggy and I had bought tickets to see Maleficent, and while we were eating lunch the Spirit of the Living God told me straight up, don’t go to Maleficent.  We were obedient and didn’t go.  Natalina, from Extraordinary Intelligence, was able to see the movie and she wrote the piece which I then posted on the blog.  I was obedient and fled the theater!

In closing todays Bun.  We must be on our guard because: Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

This admonition by Paul is still in operation today and we would do well to heed its warning.  The enemy is always ready to try to make us go back in the box. However, when we think he’s prowling about a good scripture to hurl at him is this:  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

We should be really ticked off when he tries his tricks on us.  Be angry and do not sin!

Our Products….

nephilim-trilogy-nephilim-calendarCommentary & Analysis

I realize this is Black Friday and many folks will brave the insanity of the malls or trample each other to get a $10 dollar toaster.  I also understand that some folks who come here do not celebrate Christmas or exchange gifts, so this is not for you.

For those of you who do exchange gifts may I suggest you check out our books and DVDs as all of them point to Yashua/Jesus and present a Biblical world-view.  Our products get people talking which is why there are Watchers parties popping up all over the place.  The Cosmic Chess Match  is now being used as  mid-week Bible study tool, in some churches!  Who woulda thunk!

Recently someone sent me a post that was on Facebook saying that our newly created calendars have nothing to do with the great commission.  Respectfully, I disagree and here’s why.

The Calendars are designed to start a conversation.  They show pictures of places like Sacsayjuaman, a place where huge megalithic stones, with polygonal joints, fit perfectly together.  I have come to call this Nephilim architecture.  How did the ancients create this megalithic structure?  Archaeologist are baffled by the structure and have no idea how it was made!

There are pictures in the Calendar of Richard Shaw, the director of the Watchers Series and myself,  in the Lab with late Dr. Roger Leir, examining an implant.  It was removed by someone who had been abducted when he was five years the implantold and remained in him for 40 years until we removed it.  What we experienced in the operating theater still has people talking, as there were powers present who did not want this implant removed.  All of our testing equipment could not find it, yet only a few weeks earlier we were easily able to locate it.  Was it being “cloaked” by a nefarious power?  One prayer changed the atmosphere and suddenly the implant appeared on the Ultrasound monitor.  The implant is real physical evidence that something is going on.  Think that will get people talking?

Then we have the unwrapped baby mummy skull from Sr. Juan’s Paracas History museum.  Is the elongated head genetic or the result of cradle head-boarding.  The controversy started on or before 1842.  In On the Rivero Peruvian Antiquities fetus figure-2Trail II, I show an artist drawing of a fetus with an elongated skull that was taken from a woman who was pregnant and died.  She was then mummified so when the archaeologist found the pregnant mummy they removed the fetus and to their astonishment it had an elongated skull. (Thanks to B. Foerster)

Is the elongated head the result of genetic manipulation by an unknown agency—think fallen angels here—we think so.  This ties in with Jesus’ warning that it will be like the days of Noah when he returns.

We have two seemingly disparate events, the implant removed from someone who was abducted and the elongated skull found in a pregnant mummy.  Is there a correlation between the two?  I think so and this is why this information can open doors to conversations that folks could never dream of having.  I posit that it all points back to the Biblical narrative as being true.

On the Trail of the Nephilim 2My photograph of the giant skeleton found on Catalina Island was a ground breaker of a discovery and it is also in On the Trail of the Nephilim II.  I conducted a triple blind study examining the photograph and all researchers put it at just under nine feet!  This is extraordinary!  I will be appearing on the History Channel’s new show, In search of the Lost Giants.  They interviewed me about my discovery on Catalina.  I believe this is real evidence that points back to the theory that the Nephilim tribes fled from the conquest of the Promised Land, almost 3500 years ago and some of the Nephilim tribes made their way to the Americas.

In closing todays post.

All the products we sell on the web site are designed in some way to introduce the reader, or in the case of our Watchers Series, the viewer, to the Biblical narrative.  Some books like The Cosmic Chessmatch make it very clear about Jesus being the way to salvation.  Other products like some of our Watchers series are more subtle and are designed to pique the viewers interest in finding out more.
Cosmic-front-coverFrom the Nephilim Trilogy which made the CBA best sellers list, to the latest book On the Trail of the Nephilim II, to all eight of our Watchers Series, every one of our products are created from a Biblical world-view perspective and promote the Biblical narrative.

We’re offering a free calendar when you buy anything from our store.  It’s our way of saying thanks to you for your support.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

I remember 34 years ago as I was reading through the Bible for the first time and I came upon this passage.  Pray without ceasing!  How can anyone do this?  I wondered.  I asked my mentor at the time Wayne Kendall and he smiled sagaciously and stated, The Holy Spirit will show you how.

I thought his answer was a cop-out and then went into the bank to cash a check.  Those were the days when Wayne and I worked together and along with his wifey Annie, ate most of our evening meals together.  I dedicated The Cosmic Chess Match, to Wayne and the dedication thanks him for getting me through the darkest days of my life, but I digress!

I was standing in a fairly long line at the bank and became impatient as the line was moving at a snail’s pace.  At this point something amazing happened.  The Spirit of the Living God pointed someone out in the line to me and said, Pray for that man!

But I don’t even know the guy!” I protested.

Pray for him….

So I prayed.  When I finished the short, half-hearted prayer, the Spirit of the Living God spoke again and instructed me to pray for the woman who had just entered the bank.

Reluctantly I prayed again, not knowing what to pray.

The line moved and I finally conducted my business with the teller.  When I left the bank and  got back in my truck, I told Wayne what happened.

“Very Good Marzulli!” he replied.  “The Holy Spirit showed you how to pray without ceasing.  To pray for those around you when prompted by Him, even when you know nothing about the person.

I have carried this lesson throughout my Christian walk and have learned to pray without ceasing.  Now I don’t walk around praying all the time, but I pray at different times throughout the day and they are non-scripted, they are spirit-led.  Here’s what I mean.  There’s a show on the religious channel that features a group of nuns at a convent praying the rosary.  They chant the same prayer over and over again.  These prayers are rote and in my mind boring as all get-out.  We are actually instructed not pray repetitious prayers!

But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  Matthew 6:7

The Muslims pray 5 times a day, but once again these prayers are rote, and they are obliged to pray this way because of the mandate for them to do so.

Contrast both of these with the way the Spirit of the Living God leads us in prayer.  It is not rote, or boring, or predictable.  His leading in our prayer can happen at 3 in the morning, or 3 in the afternoon.  He can bring someone to mind that we haven’t thought of in years and we can intercede for him or her.  He can prompt us to pray for healing, deliverance, finances or a host of other specific needs to target.  One thing is for sure, when led by the Spirit of the Living God, prayer is never boring, especially when we hear about or witness the Lord answering our prayers.

A dramatic demonstration of prayer being answered happened in Watchers 8, when we were in the operating theater.  We were looking for Bill’s implant and had gone over the same small patch of skin, with the wand from an Ultra-sound machine, for over an hour without finding the metallic object.  At this moment, just when the Doctors were considering another X-ray, I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to pray, and so I did.  It was short prayer, that went something like this.  Father, if there are forces which are cloaking this object I pray that you would break their power and do it soon.  Less than two minutes later the object suddenly appeared on the Ultra-sound monitor.  The moment was not lost on anyone.  The God of the universe broke the power of the Fallen One who I believe had concealed the implant.  One simple, short prayer, changed the atmosphere and broke the power of the enemy.

In closing todays’ Bun: Our prayers can change lives, heal the sick, raise the dead, mend broken relationships, and forgive those who have hurt us.  Our prayers act as weapons against the enemy of our souls.  Our prayers can summon the host of heaven to come to our aid.  Our prayer-life should dominate our thought-life.  Jesus prayed often and at times during His ministry, while He was on earth, withdrew to pray.  He knew the importance of prayer.

As J. Vernon McGee used to say, Prayer changes things…

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  2 Corinthians 5:17

When we are born from above, by the Spirit of the Living God something happens to us. We become a new creature and our old life, our habits, what we used to do, the desires of the flesh, pass away.  He can and does make all things new!  However, the enemy of our souls, the one who seeks to rob, kill and destroy us would like nothing better than to remind us of who we used to be, what we used to engage in, and he would love to see us go back into those old ways of life.  For many Christians this is a constant struggle, as the old man or women, does not die easily.  When the enemy begins to remind us of what and who we used to be this is a great verse to take from our “quiver” and fire it back at him!  In other words, we proclaim: I am a new creature in Messiah, old things have passed away!

Even though the thought is in our minds, condemning us and the enemy may even have legal right to accuse us, we must fire that verse back at him, as our Father in heaven sees us righteous before Him, by the blood of the lamb, Jesus.

It will be 34 years this June that I became born from above and the old things in my life began to slip away.  My friends at the time could not comprehend why I would no longer get stoned or the fact that I was no longer dropping “F” bombs, in my conversation.  Here’s the incredible part, the Holy Spirit was the orchestrator of this, not me.  It was by His power and His indwelling in me, that I began to change.  It was He who took away my three pack a day cigarette habit, without withdrawal!  It was He who began to close up the doors that I had opened while engaging in drug use and Eastern Mysticism.   He can do this because: Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.

I believe these two verses can go together, as when the enemy attacks we can fire both these scriptures back at him.  The enemy will always make us feel shame at what we have done in the past.  He will bring it up to us and make us feel worthless.  If we engage this thought, we can become depressed which can lead to a falling away from the Lord as feel unworthy.  The enemy would like nothing better than to see us in this state as we then become self obsessed and then may allow the old man or woman to take-up residence in our thought life again.

However, these verses are powerful weapons when we pronounce them over ourselves.  When we do we are proclaiming who we are in our Messiah and thus, will not buy into the lie that the enemy is trying to force upon us.

In closing todays Bun:  He loves us and cares for us.  His banner over us is love.  He is the author and finisher of our faith.  He is the one whom we have been waiting for and as we wait for His return, we can take a stand and proclaim we are new creatures and the old things are passed away.

I was at the Paradigm Symposium last weekend and spoke for an hour.  Most of the people there were not Christians.  That’s OK, I got along fine with everyone and met some really great folks and engaged in some very enlightening conversations.  I presented On the Trial of the Nephilim and thought it went over well.

That night there was a live radio show in the bar of the Hotel where we were all staying.  I was asked to come on the show, which I did.  After the interview I was talking to someone about the Nephilim and my findings.  In the course of the conversation I mentioned Jesus, by name, and the man actually took a step backward, and looked around nervously, thinking that I was trying to convert him, and this is what I want to address today!

A lot of people think they know Jesus.  They see the hucksters on Christian TV asking for the $1000.00 seed faith offering, or magic holy water being peddled by another “minister”, or some guy yelling and screaming about who knows what from the pulpit and unfortunately, in my opinion, this has little to do with Jesus.

Others have been hurt by the churches they attended in their youth. I know one man who was embarrassed in front of the entire congregation, by the pastor and never went back after that horrible day, which was about 40 years ago. He doesn’t want anything to do with that Jesus, and who can blame him.

Then there’s the pedophilia and the molestation which happens in pretty much all the churches, at some point.   Many of these people wonder why God would allow them to be so deeply hurt and so, they co-mingle their pain and violation with who they think Jesus is.

Still others think Jesus was a good man, or one of many avatars and wise, holy-men who have incarnated here on earth, but surely He wasn’t the Son of God.

I spoke at a UFO bar a few days ago…. no kidding, and there were about ten people there.  One of the men came up to me and before telling me his name, informed me he was a hybrid and had been abducted over 80 times!  Others too, had been abducted and all of them had seen UFOs multiple times.  I was reticent about speaking there and I wasn’t sure what I was going to present.  However, as I started my impromptu presentation with my laptop facing them, I found myself talking about Jesus.

I told them He wasn’t who most of them thought He was.  Then I told some “Good-News” stories.  How wherever He went people were healed, made whole, deaf ears were opened, blind eyes saw for the first time, leprosy, which was a death sentence in the ancient world, was healed on the cellular, molecular level.  Demons fled at the sound of His voice.  Men and women were raised from the dead when He called them forth. Raging storms yielded to His command.

In short, He is/was amazing and he also had a great sense of humor, as I pointed out in the story where he sends the disciples out in a boat and then tells them he’ll catch up with them later!  What was the first clue to these guys, that something wasn’t as it should be!  How is He going to join them if they leave ahead of him in a boat?!?  Most of us know the story, He goes out walking on the water and instead of calling to them, so they won’t be startled, He calmly walks by them, like he’s out for a casual stroll!  I love it!

When I finished my presentation I prayed for some of the folks, as many of them had medical issues and needed healing.

When we share Jesus with those who don’t’ know Him, what do we show people?  A set of do’s and dont’s?  Do we have a list of rules we present?  Do we talk about their sin and tell them they’re going to burn in hell?  Do we act like we know it all?  Are we pompous windbags going on and on without a comma?  Do we cite chapter and verse to impress our listener how much we study?

Jesus never did any of those things.  Think about the woman caught in adultery?  He says to her, go and sin no more.  Think about Levi the tax collector.  Jesus dines with him.  He also hung out with prostitutes, gluttons and wine-bibbers.  He talked to outcast like the Samaritan woman.  Everywhere He went, there was goodness.  Goodness and peace followed him and people’s lives were touched and then change happened, to them.  How can anyone argue with that?

In closing todays bun:  We are told that the greatest commandment is love.  It’s not our doctorate degrees, or our position at a university, or how much we think we know.  It’s all about how much we love one another.   In fact Jesus told us that they—the world—would know that we were His disciples by the love we had for one another.

So who is the Jesus we present to those around us?  Think about it….

An Excerpt from the Cosmic Chess Match:

I was  going to write about taking every thought captive and then realized, wait a minute, I already have! So here it is!

Take Every Thought Captive!

I remember when I first read this thirty years ago; I thought to myself, how could anyone possibly take every thought captive?

In our own strength it would be impossibility, however, the Spirit of the living God who dwells in us will train us and teach us how to do this. If we learn to hear His voice and mind the checks that He gives us, we will find that we are able to keep track of the thoughts that are not in line with His kingdom or more specifically in line with His written word, His TORAH (the Law, or the first five books of the Old Testament). We check everything by what is written in the Guidebook to the Supernatural. We need to be familiar with the whole of Scripture, both the TANAKH, or what we would call the Old Testament, and the New Testament. There is a saying that goes like this: The new is in the old concealed while the old is in the new revealed. The bottom line for me is this, we need to know and study Torah, so that we will know what is right and good and what is not, and we need to flush that study out by what is written in the New Testament! We need the whole of the Scriptures!  Remember that the early church did not have what we call the New Testament. They read and re-read Tanakh: the prophets and psalms and meditated on those Scriptures.

You see there are three kingdoms. There is the Kingdom of the Most High God, the Kingdom of the Fallen One and then there‟s our kingdom.

The Most High God‟s kingdom is one that is known by the fruits of love, faith, and peace.

The Fallen One‟s kingdom is known by hate, fear, and no peace.

Our kingdom is characterized by the “me first above all else” attitude; it is the kingdom of self-obsession!

That being said we must realize that all our thoughts are coming from one of the three sources or kingdoms. We must learn to differentiate between the three. This is why it is important to study and know what the Word says… in other words, as the commercial with the most interesting man in the world says, but with a pithy addition from my friend Bob Ulrich of Prophecy in the News: Stay thirsty my friend…. for the WORD!

All sin enters into us through our five senses. I will refer to these as gates. Through the gates of the eye, the ear, the nose, the skin, and the tongue, the information is sent to the brain, our computer, and from there we make judgments regarding how we will review the data.

Everyone has a worldview; this worldview determines the way in which we filter and process the data that comes to us from varied sources.

There are many worldviews on this planet. There are other religions and philosophies, but in my opinion the only true and correct worldview is found in the Bible. Some will scoff, but having tried many other systems or views, I have come to realize that the words that are in this book are inspired and hold the truth that have withstood the test of time for millennia.

Having said that, our goal is to weigh every thought against what is in the Scriptures, but in order to do this we have to know what is in the Scriptures.  Here’s an example taken from this book.  If Blossom Goodchild—a new age channeler— knew what the Scriptures say regarding what she is engaged in do you think she might reconsider her position?  Please consider this, when the Fallen One tempted Yashua/Jesus, He answered by saying, It is written! He was fighting here; He had is armor on!   He was using the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  This is our example and it is our offensive weapon.

Finally, there are the uncounted, unchecked thoughts that enter our minds.  We are told by the Lord’s brother James that a thought enters into our minds then we think about it and then later we act on it.  When David saw Bathsheba bathing, her image entered into him through the eye gate.  He didn’t look away, instead he dwelt on what he had seen and because he didn’t check that information and take it captive, it eventually led to death.  Bathsheba’s husband was set up by David to be killed in battle.  The man was set in the front lines and then on a prearranged signal his support withdrew and he was left alone on the field of battle and killed.

This is a cogent example of how an unchecked thought leads to death.   Here’s another.  If a married man watches hours of porn, he is setting himself up for the destruction of his marriage.  I know of case after case in which the guy is watching porn and the next step is an affair and then another affair until he is caught and in many cases the marriage, the children and everyone involved is caught up in the disaster.  Lives are ruined, children damaged, jobs lost, all because of an unchecked thought life.   I deliberately choose sexual sin because most men fall prey to it.  It is what men struggle with so let’s not pretend that we don’t.

We must learn to take the thoughts captive.  In other words the guy watching the porn has an option not to watch it.  At the point of entry he must take authority over it in the name of Yashua/Jesus.  This is warfare on a personal level.

As I have pointed out throughout this book, the Fallen One comes to rob, kill and destroy and he starts with a thought, a suggestion.  Once we entertain that suggestion we are caught in his web and for the most part wounded and not prepared to do battle!

In order to understand how this works I’m going to suggest some war-footing strategies that I have employed and found victory in for the last thirty years.  This is by no means an exhaustive study of spiritual warfare but it will get you started.

Jeremiah 17: 9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Heart:

1) inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding

a) inner part, midst

1) midst (of things)

2) heart (of man)

3) soul, heart (of man)

4) mind, knowledge, thinking, reflection, memory

5) inclination, resolution, determination (of will)

6) conscience

7) heart (of moral character)

8) as seat of appetites

9) as seat of emotions and passions

10) as seat of courage

deceitful, sly, insidious

a) deceitful, sly, insidious, slippery

wicked:

1) to be incurable

2) to be sick

3) desperate, incurable, desperately wicked, woeful, very sick

We live in a world where people are gunned down in cold-blooded murder for a few dollars.  Where mothers drown their children.   Where teenagers are beheaded by radicals religious zealots.  Where our officials look into the camera and lie: I did not have sex with that woman. Or,  I am not a crook.   We live in a world where depravity and sickness manifest, as in the case of the three women who were held against their will by “a monster” for ten years.

In Texas a “doctor” performed some late-term abortions by pulling the heads off  the babies born alive with his bare hands.

Then we have the Miami cannibal who ate the face off of a homeless man and could only be stopped when the policeman on the scene emptied his revolver into the crazed man.  We were told it was bath salts, but when the toxicology reports came back no bath salts were found.

What motivates a  teenager to take a gun to school and open fire on his class mates and then turn the gun on himself?  How does a man get up in the morning and go to a movie theater, and open fire on those attending?  How did the V-Tek shooter line up 33 people and kill them all before killing himself?  How did the concentration camp guards kill women and children by herding then into the gas chambers in the Nazi death-camps?

The above scripture, which is not a pleasant one to read and one that makes me squirm every time I read it, is not a popular message.  However, it provides an answer to the partial list of atrocities above.  It tells us plainly that the heart of man is; deceitful above all things and is desperately wicked.  Before some of you scoff at this, let me continue and please bare with me to the end, as there is good news there!

How many of us have lied, deliberately looked at someone and were not forthright with them?  How many men who are married lust after another woman, or spend hours looking at porn?  How many women hold bitterness against someone and won’t forgive?   Do we cheat on our income tax?  Do we get angry and yell at those around us?  When things don’t go our way do we curse and swear and grind our teeth?  Do we harbor unforgiveness?  Do we envy our neighbor when they get a raise, or a new car, or a promotion?  I could go on but I think we all get the point.  The natural inclinations of men and women in short all of us, lean in this direction.   We have a proclivity to do the things we don’t want to do!

The Bible calls of this stuff sin.  Get this, some of us willingly remain caught in the web of sin—our depravity—and accept the bondage that it brings.

Let’s walk through this.  The man addicted to porn is a slave to it.  The woman who is bitter and won’t forgive, is a prisoner of her own making.  The man who lusts after another woman is in bondage and his marriage is on the rails because of it.  Those of us who cheat will most likely do so again.  Uncontrolled anger can lead to all sorts of horrible actions.  Being envious leads to a root of bitterness, which can poison us from the inside out and eventually cause sickness.

OK.  So now that I’ve laid out the problem with all of us, here’s the good news, and I can’t say it any plainer than this.  The human race is being held captive, but one came to set the captives free.  There is one who has the power to come into our lives and change us.  There is one who when we ask Him to take the bondage of our depravity away he will do it.  If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed!

His name is Yashua, but most of us know Him as Jesus.  He is more powerful than the sum of all of our fears.  He can break our addictions, can mend our wounds, can heal our bitterness, can make us new creatures.  It is a free gift and all we have to do is ask Him.  This is the good news that was recorded in the Guidebook to the Supernatural i.e. The Bible, and it assures us that we can become victorious over the things which so easily ensnare us.  The heart of man is wicked but there is one, Jesus, who is greater than our depravity and when we ask we receive.  When we knock the door is open.

He came into the world to save it.  I’m not talking about religion, but a real experience.  I asked alone in my room 33 years ago and I’ve never been the same.  He loves us and he has the power we need to overcome our depravity.  He is only a prayer away….
