The Birth-Pangs or Business as Usual?

Commentary & Analysis

L. A. Marzulli

I took a cab to the Philadelphia airport yesterday and chatted with the driver as we drove. My first question to him was this: Hey, what do you think of all this stuff that’s going on in the world?

“Maybe it’s the Mayan 2012 thing,” he replied.

I thanked him for his answer and then proceeded to inform him that he proved my point once again and it is this. People know more about the so-called Mayan doomsday prophecy of 2012 then they do about Ezekiel 38, Psalm 83 or Matthew 24. In other words, real prophecy has been obfuscated – and I believe that this is deliberate – by the likes of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, Blossom Goodchild, The Mayans, and others whose writings dominate a variety of shows on TV. People have been brain washed by these false prophets!

We are warned of what the days that Jesus calls the birth-pangs will be like: wars and rumors of wars, famines pestilence, earthquakes in diverse places and troublesome times. Yesterday, there was a 6.3 temblor that hit Christchurch, New Zealand, killing as many as 150 people. Business as usual?

The Middle East continues to experience a regional upheaval, as people clamor for a greater say in the government and personal freedom, but mark my words, Islam will dominate and Sharia will win out in the end. Business as usual?

There are droughts, floods, famines, pestilence, wars and rumors of wars, fish die offs, birds dropping out of the sky, volcanos erupting and yet most people are willingly oblivious to what is happening all around them. Oh, L. A. you are such a pessimist!

I believe gas prices will go way over $5.00 a gallon. Food prices will continue to soar and the dollar will collapse. I really hope I’m wrong. I would love to write something more “cheery” but that’s not what I see happening.

Recently a friend commented about the YOUTUBE video that shows the rider on the horse in Egypt and asked if we are in the Tribulation period. I don’t think we are, but these are the birth-pangs.

In closing today’s post: I believe that we are seeing the collapse of the global economy, this combined with the impact that the floods, droughts, fires, etc has had on the crop yields will result in massive food shortages that will impact entire countries. Please consider stocking up on food as we may have a period when the trucks stop rolling in this country and the infrastructure that we depend on daily to shuttle goods form one corner of the country to the other collapses.

In my opinion what we are seeing now are the birth-pangs. It is real and of course the scoffers will fulfill the prophecy by declaring: Where is the promise of His coming, for all things continue as before…. in other words it’s business as usual.,29307,1731280_1565365,00.html
