Poll: Trump surges to big lead in GOP presidential race
Businessman Donald Trump surged into the lead for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, with almost twice the support of his closest rival, just as he ignited a new controversy after making disparaging remarks about Sen. John McCain’s Vietnam War service, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The press is having a field day with The Donald. That’s what they do. They Take a misplaced sentence or misspelled word like Dan Quayle’s potato and before you know it the candidate is out. That’s how the game is played and we allow it to continue…
The folks are ticked off, which is why The Donald has about 88% of the people approving of what he’s doing. He’s a Washington outsider and in my opinion he’s just what we need to shake things up and maybe just maybe we’ll get our country back. Then there’s John McCain, the Washington insider, who refers to the folks who are mad-as-hell as The Crazies! Guess I’m one of those! Please pass me my tin-foil hat!
We live in a politically correct society. Everything is managed. Many people are afraid to speak up, to voice their displeasure with 20 million illegal aliens, gay marriage,Obamacare,Obamatrade, Jade Helm and a bloated-never-enough-in-the-coffers-federal government.
I wonder what Trump would do if he actually got to the White House? Surely he would do better than the current POTUS having actually done something other than community organize, as Trump is a financial and entrepreneurial savant! Would he put a stop to the endless wars? Would he abolish the Federal Reserve? Would he reel in the CIA, NSA and the IRS? What would he do? I believe Trump could be just what America needs at the moment. Someone who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is and the politically correct media be damned!
The Donald has touched a nerve and the folks have responded. I think a lot of people are tired of the same old talking points, that the candidates spout with polish but is devoid of heart. Trump let’s you know what he’s thinking. He speaks from his core values. He’s not afraid if he offends someone. I love it!
The country is at a crossroads. America is divided as never before and we see this division played out in a very real way. Pro-life vs. Pro-abortion. Gay marriage vs. traditional marriage. More government vs. less government. Self reliance vs. Food Stamps and redistribution of wealth. Prayer in Schools vs. The Darwinian theory which is taught as fact.
When Trump began his “campaign” I thought this was just another Ross Perot moment. Now, I realize I was wrong. The Donald, if elected, could pull this country from the abyss it’s about to enter with 8 years of Obama and his social, reconstruction agenda. Then there’s the FOX news crowd, those paid pundits of political savvy who are dismissing Trump and telling us to do the same while all the while talking about Jeb Bush? Are you kidding me? http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/07/21/des-moines-register-calls-on-trump-to-drop-out-2016-race/
In closing todays post. Trump is an outsider. He’s not controlled by anyone as many of the other candidates are. Think about it. Hilary as president? Jeb Bush if somehow he gets in? Trump has hit a nerve, that’s for sure and we’ll see, in the coming days ahead if he’s genuine about all of this or if it’s just a Billionaires’ whim…. in the meantime we have another 16 months of O’Bummer who has already, doubled our national debt, made gay marriage the law of the land, told us we didn’t make that, and gave us Obamacare as well as Obamatrade, let millions of illegal aliens into our country, and made a very bad deal with Iran. I’d take Trump over the current POTUS, in a New York minute…. What do we have to loose as we’ve lost so much already!
