Now to the Sunday Bun:
If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Proverbs 24;10
Adversity will come into our lives at some point. It’s going to happen no matter who we are or what we do. This is why it is important to have daily walk with Father God. This is why we read our Bibles and meditate on the word, why we put on the armor of God every day.
At times we may be faced with situations that we can not solve, or fix, especially if it has to do with a family member or co-worker. We can’t change people, we can only pray for them and leave them in the hands of the Father.
Sickness, financial troubles, the loss of a job, or home, the loss of friendship can contribute to a time of adversity. It can be overwhelming, as there may not be a solution even if we have all the money to throw at the problem.
Peggy and I are facing a time of adversity and we are powerless, as we can do nothing to fix it. All we can do is pray and stand and wait to see what the Lord will do.
After 35 years of walking with Him, I know I can trust him and so I believe He will bring good out of the situation. It doesn’t make it any easier to go through but nevertheless, we will trust and believe in this; And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
In closing todays short but pithy Bun: Today is the Feast of Trumpets. We would love to hear the sound of it and rise to greet the Lord in the air. How wonderful that would be! In the meantime Peggy and I will put one foot in front of the other and continue to press in to Him who is the keeper of our souls, even in the day of adversity.
