There’s no way out of this mess but up!
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15: 51 & 52
I realize that some folks will want to argue about this and that’s why up until this post I have never discussed the Rapture of the church. Before I launch into the BUN today I want to make it clear, that I’m not interested in folks telling me where I’m going wrong because they hold to a mid-trib or post-trib position. I believe in the Rapture of the church and frankly with everything that is going on we may have only one option and that’s up, hence the title of todays Blog.
Think about it for a moment, the Christian church is now hemmed in on every side. We have our Supreme Court telling us that gay marriage is now the norm and of course this goes against what many Christians hold true, that marriage is between one man and one woman. We have crossed a line and we are told that evil is good and good is evil. Like Roe v. Wade there is no turning back, and 60 million aborted babies is a blood curse on our land.
We hear of the governments Jade Helm exercise, the removal of Habeas Corpus, an 18 Trillion dollar debt, endless war, the removal of the 10 commandments and separation of church and state. We are burdened by high taxes, a bloated government who pass bills that may affect every American lives yet won’t read them before doing so, and the rise of lawlessness is everywhere.
The church slumbers even as I write this. Not much outrage over SCOTUS legalizing gay marriage and certainly no one is demonstrating and calling for an appeal of a vote by just 5 people who overturned what I would consider “the norm” of western civilization for thousands of years.
There is a supernatural. Our Bibles are full of stories that show us that the supernatural can intercede in the lives of men and women. A lot of people have never experienced the supernatural power of the Living God in their lives and so they will have trouble with the verse above. Still others will argue to the point of coming to fists over when the Harpazo—the Rapture of the Church—occurs.
I am weary of the political shenanigans of the Clinton’s and the Bush’s. I am weary of the endless war in Afghanistan and our blood and treasure dying over there for another trillion-dollar opium harvest. I am alarmed at the state of the world and while I pray and ask Father to have mercy on us, I am also keenly aware of the prophetic play-book which must go according to what was written thousands of years ago. What was written will come to pass. What was foretold will unfold.
In closing todays Bun. My hope is this and nothing less, than Jesus Christ and righteousness. My hope is that I will hear the trumpet blast and I will rise and meet the Lord of Hosts in the air and forevermore be with Him. My hope is that I will go UP! I will be translated in a twinkling of an eye. I will shed my corrupt body with its sin nature and put on my new immortal body, free from sin. Fantasy you say? Believe what you want to, as for what I see happening in our world, The only way out of this mess is up!
In the meantime we should think about this: Whatever is true, whatever is noble, watever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think on these things. We should practice how to do this on a daily basis and because these days are the days of chaos we should be bold to tell everyone about the Good News, Jesus has risen from the dead and we can have forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
