So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27
We are all made in the image and likeness of God…. period. The moment we move away from this fact we create the problems that face us in today’s world.
It is God who made us and in His sight we are all equal. It doesn’t matter what the color of our skin is, or if we’re tall, or short, fat, or skinny, or blue. It doesn’t matter. When we look at another person, no matter what he or she looks like, we must remind ourselves that that person is made in the image and likeness of God. If we practice this how can we have a racist bone in our bodies? If we embrace this, how can we fall into the trap of thinking one race is superior to another? If we set the word of God in our hearts and it allow it direct us, we will only love all we come in contact with, no matter what they look like.
We live in a broken world and last weeks shooting in Charleston was tragic. Please keep the church and those who lost loved ones in your prayers. One nut-case, high on drugs, given to him legally, through the Big-Pharma system, acted out of hate and I believe demonic whisperings. There’s no other explanation. He didn’t come into this world with this hate, he was taught it. It was nurtured in his mind and then leached into his soul and finally he acted on it. He sought out others who hated as well and in some way this boys’ mentors are responsible for the killings too.
Darwinism doesn’t teach equality, it expounds survival of the fittest. In fact Hitler used Darwinism to proclaim that the Jews were of an inferior race and this eventually led to the Holocaust. (see Ben Steins movie Expelled, No Intelligence Allowed.) What happened in the USA in regard to the slavery issue, as well as the genocide of the Native American, all stemmed from straying from this divine proclamation that all men are created in the image and likeness of God.
In last Sunday’s Bun, I discussed the question regarding how much technology would make it into the Millennial reign, when the King returns. I would venture to say here, that there will no place for bigotry or racial hate, when the King is ruling for 1000 years. Remember that there are billions of people here when He returns with the armies of heaven. How will he rule? Do we really think there is going to be secret Ku Kulx Klan meetings? Will there be room for groups like the New Black Panthers? Will antisemitism exist when the King himself is the Lion from the tribe of Judah? I don’t think so.
In closing todays Bun. The creation groans to be set free and we do as well, as we await the return of the King. In the meantime we should look at everyone we meet, as made in the image and likeness of our creator, the one true God, Yeshua, Jesus. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
