Who is speaking into our lives? Whose voice do we listen too?
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.
When we read the above scripture by Paul it is very clear that if we are in the Messiah we are a new creature. In essence, when we become born again, we are filled with the Spirit of the Living God, who will teach us in all things and we become a new creature, which is under construction until we leave this earth.
However, the enemy of our souls, The Fallen One, seeks to rob kill and destroy us of our destiny. He will whisper in our minds and sow seeds of doubt, uncertainty and fear.
With that in mind we need to take inventory to see whose voice it is we are listening to, or who is speaking into our lives.
I run almost daily and it is my private time with the God of the Universe. Sometimes during the onset of the run I’ll get a condemning thought, something like: You really blew that relationship didn’t you…. (This accusation may point to an event that happened decades ago, but that’s the way the enemy works, he truly is the accuser of the brethren.)
Well, guess whose voice that is? At this moment, I have choice to either listen to the voice of the accuser or pray against it and realize that I’m a new creature in Christ and in spite of my failed relationships and the sin in my life: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Let’s take some extreme examples. If you were a prostitute and were delivered from that sin and are now born again and spirit filled, do we really believe that the enemy of our souls is NOT going to bring your past up over and over again? Can you imagine the guilt, the condemnation, the depression those accusations would bring?
This is why it’s important to understand and know that no matter how depraved our sin is, He forgives us and no matter how broken we are, He can heal us. He loves us just where we are and as we move forward under the power of The Spirit of the Living God—the Holy Spirit—the things that held us in bondage, no longer do.
Whom the son sets free is free indeed!
We have a choice to choose who we will listen to, what thoughts we will entertain what other thoughts we will pray against. It is literally a moment by moment choice that all of us in these there dimensional-biological suits, are faced with.
When the Holy Spirit brings something up in our lives that needs to change we must learn to heed His voice and while we are faced head on with our sin, know: that there is now no condemnation for those who are in the Messiah!
In closing todays Bun. The enemy will always condemn us, that’s his nature. The Spirit of the Living God, while pointing out areas of our lives that need to change, will do so in a completely different way, then by the power of the living God, we will change into the new creature that Messiah promises us we will be.
“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
Please pray for baby Ethan who was just born and is experiencing seizures that the doctors have no idea why they are occurring. I’ll post more on this soon, but in the meantime pray. There is a history of UFO encounters in the family including abduction. Please pray…..
