  1. Just wanted to wish everyone a blessed New Year in the Lord. 🙂

Was mulling around doing a little studying and finished listening to a show Dr. Jimmy DeYoung did a few days ago where he reminded me: Syria is basically the “first up at bat” for the countries take a shot at Israel. We’re seeing more stories about them imploding from the inside and I really can see Assad just going for the “we have nothing to lose/go out in a blaze of glory card.”

While we continue to run this wall to wall fiscal cliff fake crisis theater coverage…don’t be distracted. 🙂

    • This is sad but I think prophetically significant:

‘Most Israelis back peace deal that guards security’

2 polls find that 2/3 of Israelis would vote for peace agreement, including more than half of Likud Beytenu, Bayit Yehudi voters.

In other words they’re willing to cough up more land and they’re in favor of “two state solution” nonsense. By all means read the entire article.

    • I do not have it all in front of me but I believe prophetically as each of these places begin wars with Israel, Israel keeps getting land back according to the bible…Don’t their borders expand? I think they do…

    • Yes. Depending on we look at it…If Pslam 83 and Ezekiel 38 are separate events or close together or the same event (I lean separate)…regardless of how that goes down she ultimately expands her territory and adds some new holidays to the calendar. 😉

I think Bill Salus is really on to something with his research in this area. Highly recommended. 🙂

It just saddens me to see those polls and see that many people are still deluded into this “land for peace/anything for peace” nonsense at their own peril. I realize that Israel as a whole is still a nation gathered in unbelief at present but I really thought more of them at least got the idea that land for peace is an abysmal DOA failure.

    (PART 2)
(To read part 1, go to Friday’s blog: December 27, 2012)

Picking up where I left off in Fridays’s blog (A must read): In 1990, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, wrote that the Hebrew year 5750 (1989-90) formed an acrostic for ha tekufah shel nissim – “the season of miracles.” If you recall this time period saw the collapse of Communism’s grip on Eastern Europe, the destruction of the Berlin wall, the reunification of Germany, and the migration of thousands of Jews from the Soviet Union to Israel. It certainly was a season of miracles.
During the spring and summer of 1997, Hale-Bopp remained visible to the naked eye in many parts of the world. Even though it eventually dropped out of sight in that respect, it remained visible with the aid of a telescope until mid-December 1997. October 2, 1997, marked the beginning of the Hebrew year 5758. I will point out that , as it is written in Hebrew, this year contains the name Noah.
Using the same principle as the Rebbe, the Hebrew year 5758 (1997-98) forms the acrostic, ha tekufah shel Noah – the season of Noah! If we consider that, in Noah’s day, there seemed to have been clues within the Hebrew years, is it possible that we are also being given a clue as to the day in which we live? It’s hard not to believe so. Furthermore, the year 5758 (the season of Noah) was a landmark year in Bible prophecy. This is fascinating in itself, but watch what happens when you go back 4,200 years – the amount of time cosmologists believe has elapsed since Hale-Bopp was last visible from the earth (Mentioned in part 1). Using 5758 as our starting point, we can determine that the last time Hale-Bopp was visible from the earth was in the Hebrew year 1558. This was the same year Noah received instructions from God to begin building an ark.
According to the ancient text of the Seder Olam Rabbah, it was about this time that a comet appeared in the heavens as a sign to Noah’s generation of the impending flood! It would seem that cosmology has confirmed this and has named it Hale-Bopp. The conclusion is, therefore, that the previous sighting of Hale-Bopp was to serve as a warning of an approaching appointed time. Look at the signs – Rabin’s assassination, the year 5758, and now the latest and possibly most startling sign – a comet! Did it return in 1997 to warn mankind once again of God’s impending judgment? Even more startling for 2013, there are two more approaching – one in March and one in December! I do also have to mention this: In July of 2005 (or 06), another comet came through that made the news coverage called “Temple 1”. Hint: remember the destruction of the Temple in ancient Israel that Christ warned them about. Before it happened, Josephus the Jewish historian relates that a light shown over the city before it’s destruction. Amazing! I will be posting part 3 of this amazing revelation either tomorrow or the next day… depending on whether or not the blog is open tomorrow. Stay tuned. It gets even more interesting as I share in part 3… “HERALD OF THE ANTICHRIST?”

    • I would also note that in the comment above where I mention “Temple 1” comet coming through (which NASA landed a rover on) came through on… wait for it… 4th of July at midnight… America’s birthday. Hmmmmm.

    • He said He would show signs in the heavens also…..these things coincide many times with the Hebrew feasts….good watching Corey

  3. And it’s one, two, three,
    What are we fighting for?
Open your eyes, don’t be in a fog,
    Next stop is L.A`s blog;
    And it’s five, six, seven,
    Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain’t no time to wonder why,
Whoopee! we’re all goin up in the sky.

Happy New Year..woo hoo 2013 is going to be a duzzy.

    • LOL, Pudding, did you splurge?, are you sure your coffee doesn’t have a hint of chocolate, nut, or red berries?! Uhmmmm? ha

      HAPPY NEW YEAR! to everyone.
May God bless and comfort us all, we’re gonna need it.

    • Happy New Year. Blessed New Year. Spiritual-growth New Year. Faith-filled New Year. May it be a year of opportunity and willingness for us all to share the truth of Christ with everyone we meet. Maranatha.

  4. Greetings and Happy New Year to all…….

Darla, In response to your post, you put up, just prior to the closing of yesterday’s blog – “Don’t put God in a box if He tells you to do something that’s not in the Bible”. To that I have but one word – HOGWASH!

The strong drink you are talking about in Proverbs is NOT talking about “literally” strong drink. Strong drink, usually, is talking about the judgment of God.

If that lady was cured from 20 years of grieving, it was not the shot of whiskey! God healed her, and if He did, He didn’t have to defy His own Word, and tell you to give her whiskey.

You are treading on thin ice when you say things like you said in that post.

LA: I know you are a busy man, but if you could find a minute, could you read Darla’s post and comment on it? Thanks

    • I’m afraid it is, Rolltide:

      From שָׁכַר (H7937) shekar

      1) strong drink, intoxicating drink, fermented or intoxicating liquor

I’m not going to insert myself between you and Darla, but the word does mean a literal strong drink.

    • In places. I also said in my post; “USUALLY.” Here is one such case: Job 21:20 –
“Let their own eyes see their destruction; let them drink of the cup of wrath of the Almighty”. Their are many other cases. Do you think God would tell you to drink or give someone else a drink? (strong) Honestly! What if the lady was an alcoholic? Do you also agree that God would tell you to do something that’s not in His word, or tell you to do something that His word forbids?

    • Several of us, Rolltide, have tried many times to encourage Darla to get her doctrine to line up with Scripture. She will have none of it.

Just because someone believe they’ve “heard from God” or had a particular experience does not make it true. God never does anything and will never lead believers to do anything that contradicts Scripture. It’s that simple. That’s not putting God in a box; it’s living by the guidelines that He has given us for our own good to keep us from being tricked, manipulated and deceived by the evil one.

    • Thank you, Lookingup, I agree with you 110%. If she wants to do as she does, that’s one thing, but she is encouraging it. That’s where I have a problem with her comments. Hopefully, everyone here sees through the “fog”. I pray that is so.
      Blessings, and Happy New Year

    • I’d like to put in two cents real quick. Yesterday late last night on the blog for the Bun entry we had an individual in thread 36 who is an unbeliever take notice of the arguing and acrimony around here and I would just beg everyone to PLEASE…if we’re going to have disagreements…PLEASE remember our public witness and testimony. Thanks. 🙂

    • I saw your reply to that post, Eric. I’m glad you posted that passage, I am in total agreement. 🙂

I have stated before, one passage, one commandment,…. and a thousand different interpretations.
Just take ‘thou shall not kill’, for one. Some believe, not killing even a bug. Others think not to kill a human, under any circumstance. While others believe it means not lying in wait to murder.
For myself, I think the Lord has something for me to learn up to the very minute I take my last breath. I do not always ‘get’ where someone is coming from on a particular subject, but I ponder it and follow up in study and prayer on it. For me, it comes down to a personal relationship with the Lord and pray that I understand what HE wants me to.
Instead of throwing down stumbling blocks like, ‘hogwash, baloney, blah, blah’, politely state your disagreement and why. It may take years for someone to come to the true understanding of a particular viewpoint. It took me years to ‘get’ optics, trigonometry, but one day it all clicked, and I could not understand why I didn’t get it before, it seemed so simple.

  5. I am sharing from personal experience things that I have experienced……i am sorry if that upsets you Rolltide….what I said is true and honest and God did do a work in her…Jesus spit in the mud and I am sure that was not real acceptable at the time either….God told someone dip in the water 7 times to be clean….that did not seem right or written down in any scroll?

  6. to add Rolltide, I believe the shot was about dealing with her grieving issue..It actuallu calmed her down….later that evening I began praying for her and she projectile vomited out demonic activity that had a hold of her too..

  7. Debra, if you’re reading this, Gary Stearman does a wonderful job of answering the question you asked me concerning the Magi.

    Blessings and Happy New Year

  8. Give strong drink to those about to perish ans wine who are in bitter anguish is what the proverbs says and the woman was in bitter anguish…she had no wine there but wine is also a strong drink…..the Lord was speaking to me about giving her strong drink and it was only a shot………she was in bitter anguish……The very way you are harsh to me about this is the very way the church treated us and she went in and gave glory to God for all of it.

  9. and to finish on my response to your Rolltide…she was not grieving for 20 years, I believe I said she had not grieved and now 20 years later she was grieving for him…i hope that is how it came across anyhow..maybe I wrote it wrong

  10. I am glad we are having this conversation and i am not mad about what you have stated here Rolltide. It just proved the very point I was making about not putting God in a box and I say that with love not in any harsh or I told you so type of way ( just in case there is fog in the blog)

  11. I am sorry for offending John..i did not know there was going to be an issue so I was explaining what had happened. and John I was not trying to entertain you?

  12. The following is an excerpt from “Is Heaven Real: Neurosurgeon Shares His Story About Afterlife?” This man may very well have had ‘an experience,’ but it was of a Satanic nature. This is the same message that the so-called aliens are giving to people who have out-of-body experiences, etc.

Have you become more religious after this experience?

“I’ve come to know absolutely the existence of an all-loving and powerful God — that our souls are eternal,” Dr. Alexander said. “I go to church all the time, but I have also come to realize strongly that there is no one right religion. All aspects of religion have everything to do with the rich, deep, eternal reality,” he explained. “Anything about religion that says they are the only one is just doomed dysfunctional human thinking. It’s all about showing compassion and forgiveness in our lives and giving our faith and belief to the source of all creation.”
