Sunday Go to Meeting Bun + Colorado UPDATE!

Richard Shaw and I landed in Pueblo Colorado, on Friday afternoon.  We flew in a small turbo-jet Prop, airplane and I have to tell you that the ride was a nasty one.  A woman, who was seated at the rear of the plane kept screaming as the plane bounced around like an errant ping-pong ball!  When we landed both Richard and I were woozy…. and that’s an understatement!

We got the rent-a-car, and headed toward Canon City, and to the Abbey, where we retrieved my books and DVDs, which we shipped to the conference that I will be speaking at in Oregon.  I have to tell you that the place gave me the creeps!  It was at one time, a Catholic Boarding school and is essentially in the middle of nowhere!  Why the Matthew Miller crew, who have still not publicly apologized for leaving us all in the lurch, would pick such a desolate, isolated, hard-to-get-t0 venue is beyond me.  The Abbey is a throw-back to a day where errant boys were sent away from their families, to be raised by nuns and priests.  I can only imagine what the stones would tell if they could talk.  We also met three people who flew into Pueblo because they had purchased tickets that were NOT refundable.  I’m not going to belabor the point here, but I am dumbfounded that Miller and his cohorts, who appeared on a newly created radio show on Wednesday, didn’t say one word about the conference…. poor form, in my opinion.

We met “Greg” for dinner and had a wonderful meal with him – he was one of those who had a non-refundable ticket, and flew out to Colorado anyway. We talked about the weird weather, the instability in the Middle East, and how we felt that we were in the birth pangs.  Greg also gave us a donation to help with our trip, thanks Greg!

We found our hotel in Colorado Springs and finally got to sleep – in separate rooms, LOL! – around midnight.

Yesterday we met Stan & Holly Deyo, and interviewed Stan for Watchers 3.  There was so much to talk about that we didn’t leave their house until almost 9 pm.  Stan is one of the most fascinating and knowledgeable men I have ever met! Richard and I had a late dinner and then headed to the sack.

Today we are going to interview Barrie Shwortz, who was the lead photographer, for the Shroud of Turin Research Team, that poured over the Shroud, conducting a variety of scientific experiments, in 1978. He will bring a very unique perspective to Watchers 3, as he both handled the Shroud, and took thousands of photos. A few of you have expressed concern about the Shroud being a Catholic relic. While it is controlled by the Catholic Church, it is what I believe to be, God’s calling card. What I mean is that the Shroud may be forensic evidence of both the crucifixion and the resurrection!  It is the most fascinating and enigmatic, artifact we have on the planet, in my opinion.  I have been an amateur sinologist – one who studies the Shroud – for almost 31 years.  By the way, we will be discussing how the Carbon Dating samples that were taken from the Shroud may have been deliberately manipulated to ensure a late dating. This dating, from the 14 century has been proven to be in error as the sample was from a part of the Shroud, that was repaired by the poor sisters of Clair with end-to-end splices!  There is a peer-review paper that I will link to later that discusses this.

In closing today’s update:  Stan and Holly Deyo, believe as I do that we are in the last days.  We look toward September as a month in which our way of life may change in a drastic way.  I have said this before and do so  now, get prepared! Store up some food and water, and learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones.  If these are the birth-pangs then they will lead to the Tribulation.  The bottom line is this, we don’t know how much of this we are going to go through. (Please don’t post your position on this as it will only serve to divide people.)

In the end I believe that we are pawns in what I call, a Cosmic Chess Match and the final moves of this match may be about to spill out on this earth.  It all leads to the Rider on the White Horse, defeating the armies of the Antichrist.  Yashua/Jesus will finally put an end to the system that has enslaved humankind for millennia.  This is why we are told to look up, as we see the birth pangs, the signs that we are told to watch for, because they are a harbinger of His coming!

  1. Thanks for the “bun” and double thanks for not mentioning Irene! LOL
I don’t know why but the whole Matthew Miller fiasco seems to be another warning to put our faith in no man! I am glad you have straightened your concerns out and I will send my pittance to help as soon as I finish posting this.

    • I used to think very highly of Miller and his group. To continue on as though nothing has happened is just bereft of any accountability I’m sorry to say.
As Ricky said many times to Lucy “Luuucccyyy, you got some splainin’ to do.” I do not need intimate details of what happened just general stuff and
would like to see an apology to the speakers/paid attendees! He (Miller) mentioned “wolves in sheeps clothing.” Yes LA, very poor form. Accountability
is a hallmark of our faith and leads to credibility. And why did they cut off from Rozz? She was not part of the new shows. As producer “Frannnk’s own
theme music will attest,”there’s things goin’ on that you don’t know!”

    • “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war.” Revelation 19:11

Come on Brother Matthew, if you’re reading this, be faithful and true!

Give an explanation which is rightfully required and do it in a timely manner before it is too late.

    • Hello Rozz! So nice to hear from you and yes been listening to your new shows and being blessed as per usual! I loved some of the new show ideas you were coming up with.
I just pray for your heart and peace. And yes Abba will deal with it as per His time. That theme song is from a show on AVR network done by LA’s producer Frank Steffan.
It’s about conspiracy and hidden things that’s all. Repentance is something we need to hear about more. I think we pass this concept off too lightly. We can get so comfortable with our
little pet sins while thinking “oh I’m saved God forgives me. He sees me as white as snow.” That can be the beginning of a hardening of the heart and must be dealt with.

May God bless you and your future endeavors Rozz, and I’ll be right there listening!

    • Elaine, poor form on my part to not even say hello to you.

I could’nt agree with you more though. Man will only fail and disappoint.
We are most assuredly not perfect beings but do need to be transparent and teachable.

Please accept this late salutation/apology as I just got caught up in it.

    • Mark! You are so sweet! Don’t ever worry about not saying, “Hi” to me! Just having your input is great! Sort of like when I finally see my son’s and grandkids after a long spell away from them….(Like now, it has been since February and I really am eager to go visit next month!)……they will be waiting at the door when I pull up after my 4 hour drive. They will run out to help with my bags and hug me and babble in unison about what they made at school or plans they have made for my visit and questions about what art project I brought for them and…… get the picture. I don’t think any of them, the grown ups included, ever say, “Hello” but I truly would not ever mind as long as they smile and/or hug me!
The only reason I use a salutation in any posts is to be sure everyone knows who’s post I am responding to. And really, if you don’t do that it is fine because every comment from any and all of my loved ones here are like smiles and hugs to me….even if we don’t always agree on the fine points….we are here because we love Him and we follow His directive to love one another!

Getting “caught up in it” is fantastic! And now, since I see that you Jesus Peeps have been very busy today while I was away working…..I’m gonna dive in and get caught up in it myself!

  2. ” Our Father,Who art in Heaven,Hallowed be Thy Name,Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven”..Come Lord Jesus,King of Kings and Lord of Lords, for your children..

  3. “Is having 19 kids ‘abusive’?”

“The Bateses, evangelical Christians from Tennessee, oppose using birth control. With a little help from hormones (and, they say, prayer), they’re now pregnant with No. 19, and hope some day to have a 20th child.”

“We could all learn from the Bates’ example… sort of: The family’s teamwork, at least, is “a Harvard Business School-worthy case study of home economics,” says Juju Chang at ABC News. They go through seven gallons of milk per week, and two pounds of sandwich meat at every lunch. Many parents buckle under far lesser challenges, but the Bates family bands together and makes ends meet with “multiple income streams, cost-cutting, division of labor, strategic leverage, and tax savvy.””

note: No doubt plenty of prayer!

    Psalm 127
1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

  4. Has anyone ever heard the association of the shroud and the quest for the grail? What would be the enemies twisted version of an “Immaculate conception” for his version of Christ? How does he think he can win against the Most High? Would he think himself invinsible if he could wear a suit of incorruptible flesh?

    • The enemy would likely brag about it in a novel such as “The Reckoning.”

“The previous Pope died in his arms, blessing him with his last breath. He can perform miracles. His mother was a virgin. His DNA came from the Shroud of Turin. Peter Carenza is the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy and a secret, Vatican-sponsored experiment. But is he the Second Coming, or something far, far worse? “

    • please help me understand,or maybe its private hope I am not butting in, Peter Carenza? Who is he? I heard a long time ago, when I cannot remember, I heard ” that they” were looking for blood or DNA off the shroud to try to make a clone, is this Peter guy supposed to be him, my mother used to be nun (long story). Anyway, she left the Catholic Church and always said she thought there was a black pope behind john paul , I do not mean in color or nationality or race an EVIL PERSON is what she ment that is just what she called him, agin I hope I am not butting in NEW NEW NEW TO REPLY BOXES,i AM TRING TO EXPAND MY MIND ARE there directions somewhere? lol!! praise GOD! thanks cindy

    • You know what else I’ve wondered about besides this idea of cloning from the shroud…I have wondered if there is a bloodline from Jesus’ all human relatives(think his brothers and sisters from Mary and Joseph’s union) that is alive today..meaning did Jesus’ brothers have children and grandchildren, etc. that can be traced to living people today?? Just a thought. I know they wouldn’t be divine at all, as they would be descendents from just Mary and Joseph but wouldn’t it be kind of cool to know of people alive today that came from Mary and Joseph’s union…they could be considered Jesus relatives?? But even they could possibly not be believers, as the scriptures spoke of those in His own household who didn’t believe, until after the ressurection. Praise Him that we are grafted in and have become His relatives, His brothers and sisters, His bride and His body. I guess you can’t get any cooler than that. We are truly priviledged, Amen?!

    • Lisa: Good question..I am no scientist, but I think I heard, and maybe from L.A., I don’t remember, that the lineage is carried through the male. That would mean, there is no DNA to be found since Jesus was conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit, her other children would be half-siblings to Jesus and different DNA. But, I have also thought about finding it in His blood left behind. Now, they say it would be too degraded to be useful, and would that degradation apply also to the Shroud?? I don’t know, this stuff makes my head spin. I wish I could remember who I heard the DNA lineage thing…probably it can be found by googling…maybe I’ll try that, you have my curiosity up.

My time here is 7:23 PM EDT (eastern daylight savings time) (Windsor Ontario Canada) when I look at the posts and see the times I always wonder where you people are from…more curiousity I guess.

    • Hi Carol:

I am in Rochester, NY not too far from Buffalo, NY. and right now it is about 8:52 p.m.

What I was really thinking was what if there are people who can trace themselves back to Mary and Joseph’s children, they could probably try to brag saying “God is my half-brother” or “God is my relative” ha ha ha. Not trying to be sacreligious, just wondered 🙂 Maybe that is why the catholic church tries to say that Mary never had any children after Jesus, though it plainly says differently in the scriptures. Funny things we think about, huh??

    • Oh Lisa…That’s not something that ever crossed my minde…yes, Catholics believe that, even though Scripture is clear Jesus had brothers….interesting thought!!!

  5. Isaiah 40:28-31(kjv)

28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I am a KJV mostly guy, so this is the best I can do and want to do. 🙂

On a previous post I posted recordings of David Sielaff that I started listening to a few days ago out of curiosity because of the titles of his lectures. If anyone is listening to him I advise discernment. I listened to some more of his teachings. He teaches a lot of stuff that is biblical, but he also teaches a lot of stuff that is not biblical, one of them being universal reconciliation in the sense that all mankind will be saved (none will be condemned). I just started reading about this teaching. Sounds ecumenical and new age and therefore it is another gospel. I didn`t hear him speak explicitly on that topic (he just said he believes it), so I was curious what exactly this teaching is, because I knew it is not biblical. Bellow is an excerpt from one link:

“Regardless of how genuine, sincere, credible, popular, well-received or authoritative a Bible teacher or author may seem, ultimately, it is not the messenger but the message that matters.”

“The core belief of universal reconciliation asserts that love is the supreme attribute of God that trumps all others. His love reaches beyond the grave to save all those who refuse Christ before they die. God’s love will even conquer fallen angels and the Devil himself who will join the saints in heaven. This view of future destinies claims many texts that seem to teach that the reconciliation that Jesus accomplished on the cross extends to all creatures (Rom. 5:18; 2 Cor. 5:16-20; Col. 1:19-20), that all will lovingly confess him as Lord (Phil. 2:6-11), and that God’s will that all be saved (1 Tim. 2:4) will be accomplished without fail.”

So as always, pray to the Father that the holy Spirit by the grace of Jesus Christ will lead you in all truth and expose all false teachings, so that only truth remains.

This is a common theme I am finding in many teachers out there. They teach good stuff and yet they teach stuff that the holy Spirit reveals to me as a false teaching.

    • btw, I hope Matthew Miller and his crew are not into monasticism lol. It is becoming popular again and is creeping into churches in a repackaged version for the 21st century. After the mother Harlot has her tentacles everywhere now with her false teachings and practises.

    • What makes me wonder is what do these people who believe in Universal Reconciliation make of the scriptures that speak of Hell. Jesus spoke so much of hell and punishment there, etc., do they just conveniently pass over those scriptures? There is a hell as well as Heaven and our gracious Lord wants none to go there but free will to love Him can also be used to follow our own ideas instead of His word and it these type of beliefs these people hold that will lead them right to the place they don’t believe exists…crazy huh?? Amen!

    • Hi Bozz; about seilaff. I only listen halfway through the 1st link you gave and stop there. did not want to say anything to you as I did not know how you would take it. It is good Bozz that you looked into Him further and put out the warning.

To be sure “many will come in my name ” said Jesus and shall deceive Many. Even this scripture is often used out of context to mean that false teachers are those who proclaim themselves to be Jesus

I would like to point out that “the many” who are deceived are those who just gullibly listen to those whom they place on pedestals (Falsely equipped shepherds) very often financed by the unrighteous mammon of religious Tithing who preach in His Name.

      God bless Bozz.

    • I definitely will not be listening to him anymore. I thought that the Byte show has only people who rightly divide the word of truth on there, I was mistaken. Russ Dizdar for example has also a lot of very good recordings in the Byte show archives.

      God bless John B

  6. I believe wholeheartedly that we are living in the last days. I am 40 years old, and have been reading the book of Revelation since I was 8. I was raised a Byzantine Catholic, and now consider myself non-denominational Christian. I have studied the Bible from various perspectives (Catholic and non), and believe that anyone can see that we are in perilous times. I agree 100% with LA about the UFO & ET phenomena being Satans grand deception. When the Rapture finally occurs, what are those left behind going to be told? That we were whisked away in some mass alien abduction. And the Antichrist, who will have the perfect chance to capture the world in his grip, will offer all the answers and assuage all the fears of those panic stricken folks watching the aftermath of the rapture on CNN.
I believe the best way to live out these days is to do our best to share our faith with as many as we can. Satan’s goal is to take as many to hell with him as he can. He’s not there now…..he’s here, roaming to and fro looking for someone to devour. As God’s foot soldiers, we need to combat the enemy fiercely. It’s easy to get caught up in all the confusion and chaos of the world. However, we need not forget that extending a simple kindness someone’s way may be watering a seed that God has planted in someone’s life. Let’s not lose sight of that!

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!

    • so true Michael….but also, what if the great deception is what appears to be a rapture but is actually the removal of the tares? I continue to pray on that one……just being a sensible type in my own life and biz…..doesn’t make sense to whisk away the ones that He will want to have right here for His millennial reign! but….as always….I could be wrong! LOL

    • Not sure if this is your first post, but I just wanted to say hello to a brother in Christ.

About Stan Deyo, I just wanted to tell you something personal about him. My son had a report to do for school, and we needed an expert to reply to one of our letters we sent out. Mr Deyo did. He answered all of the questions and was pretty lengthy, and I just wanted to add that because I thought it was really nice of him to do that.

  7. Glad you were able to get your books and send them on LA. I envy your being able to sit and talk with Stan Deyo! He is such a source of knowledge it amazes me! God has surely given him a well working brain!

As for the Shroud of Turin, I’ve never thought of it as a “catholic” relic since Christ is for all. We have to be thankful to the Catholic church for the safe keeping of the shroud and other items through history, such as the sacred sites in the Holy lands because of churches built over them. Though I’m not in agreement with their teachings I am grateful for that !

With all the twisting of the truth by the powers that be, I would believe your statement that the facts have been misconstrued on the age of the shroud. The one thought I have though, how many would worship the RELIC and not the CHRIST!

Keep up the good work! I hope sometime to hear you in person if you ever come to Indianapolis area!

    GOd Bless!

    • When I was in Israel visiting the “Holy Sites” which the Churches built over I found them to be pretty much wrecked. If they had left them preserved in their natural state I could appreciate them but now they typically have a Church planted right over the top which are full of idols & idolatry. To a simple Christian who strives to remain in line w/God’s Word they weren’t places I would be comfortable spending any time in. It’s interesting to learn about the History but that’s about it.

Seems like they were marking their territory similar to the locations Muslims choose to build their Mosques or place their graveyards. An example would be the Muslim graveyard right in front of the Eastern Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. The one Jesus is coming back though.

    • I’ve never been fortunate enough to go to the HOly Lands. That is the way the Catholic church does things isn’t it… their idols and all..even though they say they don’t worship them… Hmmm.

Thanks for your insight on that.

  8. Hello LA, glad you are back safe. Agree with you on Matt Miller; not an upright response indeed.

Brothers and sisters I am compelled to exhort you about how we invite the evil realm of lucifer into our daily lives unwittingly. This perhaps is at the root of much of our pain. We can only serve one God, and He has warned us about what comes out of our mouths.

We must stop using such words as:
1- wish (never make a wish!)
2- luck (never invoke this random power!)
3- power (not in reference to Christ)
4- believe (not in reference to Christ)
    5- magic
    6- empowerment
    7- transcendent
    8- intuitive
    9- state of mind

There are many more words; but, I notice Christians using these these words and they are invitations to the evil one. Think about the meaning and the root of the words you use.

Never close your eyes in other than prayer or sleep. Never clear your mind into a meditative state. We must exercise intense discernment to remove these tools from our lexicon, opening ourselves to the evil one.

We know that the very naming of the days are pagan i.e. Sunday (the day of Horus). To me there is the 7th day of perfection and rest, the sabbath. I heard Monday is Moonday; Saturday is Saturn day (an occultic symbol) for example.

Occultic meaning is all around us. We must not promote nor serve it lest it be an invitation. Rebuke those who use them as well invoking the power of Jesus name. Be a light to everyone. Let the light of our Lord Jesus shine from you now.

We must cleanse our surroundings of books, movies, games, artifacts–and words–that celebate the evil one. As you prepare for the days ahead, spiritual preparation includes this cleansing process.

May the powerful, clean words of our Lord Jesus roll of your tongue henceforth.

    The Cypress Tree

    • Good advice CT but really kinda difficult to do…..I am going to start watching my words more carefully….I wish I had decided to do this sooner…..oops, see, fell off that wagon in less than a paragraph! Kidding.
But seriously, I have been trying to keep the sabbath holy on Saturday for quite a while now….only going to work if some lost sheep calls and needs custom framing and a blessing! But, if Saturday is Saturn day and Sunday is …well, sun day….what day is the proper day of rest? And was Saturday honoring Saturn in Jesus’ time on earth? is that why he had that whole speech about saving sheep on the sabbath even if it requires work?
Okay, got off my lazy google finger and searched it.
Now I really am curious about which day to be still and know that He is God.
Maybe it does not matter which day we choose as long as we do it? Or should we consider every day a sabbath of sorts, resting in the Lord even while we toil?
LOL, can you tell I am at work right now on Sunday? Maybe I’d like to hear that as a Christian I must stop naming days completely and make every day a day of rest….or would that require “entitlements” like food stamps and a monthly check from tax payers? Okay, enough fooling around, back to work.

    • The proper day is Everyday. 🙂

Seriously though I think that gets into salvation works through legalistic doctrines. Maintain a Sabbath on a day you believe in your heart to be proper and Love the Lord in your heart everyday and you can’t go wrong. God knows you love him and want to do His will. Frankly I have seen people celebrate Sabbaths on a wide variety of days and the other days treat God like a second class citizen.

    • hey Hopeful! I was kinda tongue in cheek on that one. I have chosen already to try to live in the church every minute and have decided to rest on Saturday because that is the day Christ celebrated it….oh, except for those rowdy wandering sheep he had to keep rounding up! I do that for my own joy in getting a day of rest and in remembrance of how He lived on this earth. The sabbath was made for man and not man made for the sabbath!

    • Hello Elaine,
All I know is he rested on the seventh day. If only we knew the first day and could work our way from there. Easy ! LOL
I keep every day Holy as told. But the Sabbath is about rest.
When the Pharisees chided Jesus for performing healing on the sabbath he qualified that somewhat. So I would gander that helping others, or doing the Lord’s work is AOK.
As to the day, I too prefer Saturday because of what Sunday represents.
It would be great if we could return to God’s nomemclature i.e. the first day, the second day, the third day, etc…
The Jewry have their sabbath on Friday at dusk.
Wonder what the etymology of each day’s name is. Bet you there is symbolic root of a dark nature.
I mean if you are going name the sabbath after the sun god, this is blasphemous.
I think Monday is named after the moon (Lundi in French for ‘lune’, latin root)
I think Tuesday is Mars (Mardi in French, latin root)
I think Wednesday is Mercury (Mercredi in French, latin root)
Not sure about Thursday or Friday; French is respectively Jeudi and Vendredi.
      Vendre means ‘to sell’.
I am guessing at these; but, I think I am close.

      The Cypress Tree

    • question Cypress. What is your opinion on meditative prayer? Does it fall into the same realm as new age garbage to avoid? Sometimes when I am feeling very anxious or stressful I will put on some ocean waves on the ipod to relax. Now I never EVER clear my mind, but I fill it with the phrase and repeat it in my head, “my heart calls out to Jesus. My soul belongs to God.” And this seems to be ok and it helps me relax and connect to God, but now I am not so sure. During one of these times I started to have a laughing episode with what felt like joy. I haven’t done it since, because it was odd and out of the ordinary for me. Do you believe this kind of relation type prayer is healthy or does it expose you to evil spirits?

    • Hello Dear Hopeful,

God assisted us in prayer, being clear on “vain repititions”. He is not hard of hearing.
A prayer is a conversation, asking the Lord for our needs. So on one hand the repetitions are to no purpose.
When you say, “your heart calls out to Jesus”…well we do not conjure him. He is already in our midst when in silent private prayer or where two gather.
Also we do not announce to God that our soul belongs to Him since it is not ours to give to Him what is already His.
“All souls are mine”, he said.
If the words repeated seem to tranquilize you, by their repetition, I am doubtful that this is the Lord’s way and oculd leave you open to familiar spirits.
Prayer for supernatural peace from your heart would be better. He loves to be with you.
Repetition is a form of hypnosis and not a Godly practice.
I know your heart is good and you love the Lord. He knows more than I
Worshipping Him through words and song may give you the “be still” effect you are seeking.
May the Peace of our Father be with you always.

      The Cypress Tree

    • I like to put a trash can lid on the porch roof outside my bedroom and take a nap when it rains. It has a natural peaceful sound and I know that He made the noise happen. I don’t feel the need to repeat any mantra in my mind or aloud. I for one don’t see anything wrong with letting my mind wander as long as He is my guide!

    • “SHAME on you” is a horrible curse to cast on a brother or sister but people say it (religiously) all the time. Yeshua did not condemn people for their sins. He gave them an antidote.

We often don’t really think about things we say. Slang and even RELIGIOUS slang’s and slogans do harm to credibility and bring an air of tacky cliche to the appearance of the children of the Most High.

    • Genesis 22
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

      1 Timothy 4:15

    • Isn’t it true that all of these scriptural uses of meditate involve using the mind and not clearing the mind like new ager’s suggest? Maybe a better word is to “contemplate”.

    • And my favorite…

      Acts 10
9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: 10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: 12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. 13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. 14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. 15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. 16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

    • I have never understood when people talk about “clearing the mind”. I have never had a clear or blank mind in my life. How does one “empty” their mind?!

I have often been told I “think too much”. Well, that is something you can’t control. A person thinks thoughts a the speed and level that their brain is set on. I can no more think less thoughts than I can see less objects in my line of sight! Thats like saying “dont hear that song playing”…

Has anyone actually had a “blank” screen before? I cant really imagine that. To you just see white and think a flat-line noise?

    • As a teen, lo these many years ago in the back wash of the 60’s and all the detritus dredge up from those dark times, I made a habit of transcendental meditation, as well as drugs and such… until I found myself in the wee hours of the night rocketing along in the white light void… headed away from earth for what seemed like an eternity.

In the distance I could see a speck that slowly became bigger and bigger which zoomed right past me at incredible speeds headed back to earth….

That was the last time I ever practiced TM. I had seen the disembodied head of Christ… and I knew with crystal clarity that I was headed the wrong way.

    • Bon! I am with ya….I have had several people say that I think too much and I always say, “Everything is relative, maybe you don’t think enough!”
Okay, I guess that is part of why I am divorced!!!! Well, that and the blond “chicalita” he found in his mid life crisis!
I also remember thinking during a college psychology class when the instructor said to clear our minds a try to think of nothing….my response was, “I can’t”

I got an A….LOL, don’t remember but may have been just before we studyed catatonics?

    • Thats scary Nome! When you were in the “white”, did you really not think?

The Lord has saved you from such peril. He must love you with a ferocity!

    • You cracked me up Elaine! “blond chicalita” ? as in EGO-JUICE? LOL! Respect is a nessessity for a man, but can or should you fake it? NEVER marry a man you do not respect(thats ONE thing I’ve learned!).

    • Bon, Most certainly, He loves all of us fiercely! He is consuming love!!

      Canticles 6 (Deu. 4:24, Heb. 12:29)
6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Yes, the verbal mind can be silent, the body become detached, and emotions cease from craving, leaving only awareness of an elongating moment in outward surroundings …but turned inward past all reverie and phantasy there are realms of light and dark.

As for scary… not so many years ago, over a decade, I learned that I would not go down into the pavilions of darkness with Yahshua…

      2 Samuel 22
7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
8 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.
9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.

      I would not go because…

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

I’ve been there with Him. I’d told Him I want to tour every part of the outermost parts of creation with Him. I even thought I was ready…

      Isaiah 50
10 Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

BUT the pavilions of darkness sent me scampering back like a little lost lamb with my tail between my legs. I’ve even laid down to die and it wasn’t nearly so terrible.

I don’t know that I ever want to be ready to go there with Abba again.

    • ahh, Bon….but I did respect until the chicalita! and now that ya mention it….it was about that time that I would say, “I think…..” and he would cut me off and say, “You think too much” Again, a reminder to put our faith only in the Lord and be aware that trusting any man (or woman) too much is idolatry!
I have repented for the years that I stupidly put that man on a pedestal. It was a tough realization that in the madness of love, had that guy said, “put that bible down and come here….” I probably would have. Ya know, we just don’t see it until it smacks us upside the head! Now I am thankful that I had my human goofy mortal heart broken and I know that I will never love any man more than myself again! And wouldn’t ya know….now I don’t fall “madly in love” but I can choose to be comfortably and agapilly (new word?LOL) in love with a man and it is better because my TRUE LOVE is my Savior!

    • I find it would be difficult to rename all the days of the week. If you need to call someone to meet you on Wed. or Saturday, what day would you say?? Even some of the months are after paganism…

I believe ( yes..It is what I think is true, even if not related to God) we do need to watch what we say but we can also be so “picky” that it can balance on the rim of ridiculous! We cannot change the calendar and days. When I say Saturday I don’t think of saturn or some pagan god.. but a day of the week.

I’m more concerned about Christians taking God’s name in vain or using vulgar and profanity! That is MUCH more unbecoming of Christians than saying, I wish.

I’m more concerned about people being ready to meet Christ and prepare for the days ahead.

    • I agree with you. How about “Son of Zeus”? Do you think the Hebrew messiahs mother really named him “Jesus”? Who led the people into the promised land? Moses (law bringer) or was it Joshua (Yeshua)?

It would be almost impossible to un-entangle ourselves from the Roman system we all live by.

Saying “I wish” is not mystically owned by pagan witchcraft. It merely implies your will. Just like when someone does something against your “wishes”.

    • Amen…that was kinda my point. I think the Lord knows our heart and knows when we have truly given our lives to him that he will….to quote a favorite old hymn….understand, and say, “Well done” It is sort of like kids and slang…..I still think “bad” means not good and for that matter….”gay” still means just happy and should have nothing to do with sex!
If we get too worried about every little word and what it means in the world then we may hesitate in our prayers….I’d hate to think that just because others have their own meaning for a word that all of my prayers to Jesus went to some old creepy greek or roman little G god….I think He knows what our words mean even better than we do….it is in the heart.

    • Wishing is all about coveting. It is very dangerous, trust me. It warps the mind to desire things that are beyond the reality of your circumstances and brings out the victim mentality in ourselves, because we feel we are not being fulfilled. This is a worldly fulfillment for the will of man and at its worst can lead one to being angry at God.

Imagine a mother who got into a car accident and her child died as a result. As she responds in sorrow with “I wish I wasn’t in so much of a hurry and drove that fast.” This quickly spirals into many desires that are unhealthy.

    • Elaine, to be clear… its less about nit picking words and more about what is in the heart.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
      Luke 6:45

    • Elaine! I love your heart! 😀 1 John 3:18-21 “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.”

God is greater than our heart! Thank God for that! 🙂

    • Kim, the scripture referenced (1 John3:18-21) is about having a little less talk and a lot more action. In context to the text, John said this after condemning those who would see someone in need and not acting. Its not about how we form our words and use them. It is about our good deeds that flow forth from a righteous heart.

Its not good to see how this blogger site has formed cliques. In regard to our deeds following our heart, people saw the confusion from Kathleen and Kathleen Too (from the blog the other day) and no one set the record straight or greeted her. We are the body of Christ and love in the end is growing cold.

    • Huh..? … I sincerely apologize, Hopeful, because I am not following what you are saying to me at all. :-/ I didn’t know about the Kathleen situation.

Nevertheless.. here’s another scripture I like : “The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil” Proverbs 15:28

    • You made my point. You are trying to put me in my place, because you don’t like me.

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”

      Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”

      Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.

    • Hopeful… what IN THE WORLD are you talking about…??? :-O I have absolutely no need to NOT like you. You have confused me even more. All I know is that I haven’t one ill thought towards you, Hopeful. 😦 I only desire blessings for you. Truly.

    • I ,for one, DID notice the Kathleen issue. I didnt want to say anything because it was an embarrassing mistake to assume there is only one “Kathleen” in the world. I think first Kathleen got paranoid because of the stuff that happened a while back. I might have jumped the gun and acted the same way if I saw MY name spelled the same way. I would have been embarrassed and looked forward to it blowing over… I felt it better to leave it alone. I think new Kathleen understands this. She seems quite generous and meek. I look forward to seeing a post from her that I can respond to 🙂

We need to stop judging the intentions of others. I am ALSO guilty of this (and PRIDE).

    • New kathleen understood after it the situation was explained to her and she was quite frustrated prior to that. And it is an understandable confusion for both kathleens and one that is nothing to be embarrassed about but required a kind word.

My overactive imagination is getting the better of me I believe. I’ll drop it and I carry no ill will either for you two.peace and blessings.

    • Where’s the new Kathleen? … whenever she shows up, I will not hesitate to give her the biggest, most gargantuan, joy-filled hug! Haha.. I love all my brothers and sisters.. almost.. to the point to where I’m sure it can be annoying, so if I personally do not welcome everyone, it’s because I’m holding back. It’s never my intent to love those while loving the others less.

Perhaps you need to be hugged too, Hopeful. I’m not sure how all of this unfolded, but that doesn’t even matter. What does matter is that I think you are awesome (as I have read and been blessed by many of your posts) and your presence here is awesome. 🙂 I know you don’t know me, but I am being honest when I say that I pray the best for you… I pray blessings over you, Hopeful. 🙂 … truly, you’re rad. I certainly know Jesus thinks so. .. Peace. 🙂

    • Kimberly, that was very sweet of you to say and yes I take that as a well needed virtual hug. I was thinking the other day what different spirits each person brings and how they help the collective body of Christ. And you came to mind and couldn’t help but to think of how infectious your love for the Lord is and how it uplifts the heart of those here. Thank you. Not trying to have last words here but wanted to let you know that. blessings to you and a loving hug right back to you.

    • okay, thought about it for a minute……it is not the words or their ever fluctuating meanings through the ages….it is the definition in the mind and soul of the speaker that counts and only the Lord knows our hearts truly….so I proclaim, henceforth in the world of Elaine that the word “wish” now means “pray”

and I wish you would all make nice again!

    • Thank you, Hopeful :*-) (YAY!!!) … (many sighs of relief). …thank you for your kind words towards me and for receiving my virtual hug. 😀 (yay!) Now we can officially put this behind us and glorify and praise our Lord together with all the others (and another yay!) ..

And I didn’t mean to run over your not wanting to have the last words.. so I will re-put your last words back in the “last words” position so that you will indeed have the last word (and if that didn’t confuse you, then you are more rad than I had initially thought, because I even confused myself) … Hopeful’s last words on the matter: “Not trying to have last words here but wanted to let you know that. blessings to you and a loving hug right back to you”

    • Cypress, we can screen our words, but that does not necessarily mean that our heart is in the right place. We should work on the heart and our mouth will follow. Even the A.C. can not overcome speaking like a dragon, even though he will look like a lamb.

    • You cant “work” on your own heart. Only the Savior can do that. Pride fills the heart of a man who wont accept this.

    • Hi Cypress,
I agree with you 100% on this! The tongue, our words and how we use them are indeed very important otherwise Christ would not have exhorted us with JAMES 3 which is all about taming the tongue!

There are so many everyday sayings that we use carelessly that have their origins with pagan practice – such as “touch wood” and “thank goodness”. Now that we know where these things originated, take care to think before we speak, (it’s hard at first, I still trip over my tongue when I am around my non-believing friends). With prayer and a gentle reminder from HS, we can find alternative words that are more fitting!!! Bring on the “heavenly language”!!!!!!

Thank you sister for your timely exhortations as I also believe that Yeshua needs His bride to be clean and without spot or blemish. Dying daily to Christ….

  9. My mom and I were talking.. and… well, we were talking about Revelation 21, the New Jerusalem. And she said that she heard that scientists took the measurements of the city to see how many could fit inside. The scientist said not ONLY can all Christians fit inside… but ALL of those who ever EXISTED. Now, I don’t know if that’s true or not. Nevertheless, the heart of God hit me because the thought came to mind “surely, You are not willing that any should perish.” He has prepared a room for everyone, but not everyone makes room for Him. :*-/ We serve such a loving and patient God.

“He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name.” Psalm 111:9 😀

“But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children. To such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.” Psalm 103:17-18

    • The world will have have 7 billion people soon. I saw a video where it spoke about that all the 7 billion people would fit into Los Angeles when stacked one to another. So much for overpopulation. The New Jerusalem is much bigger then Los Angeles. 🙂

  10. I once emailed Barrie asking him some questions about the shroud and the man was very, very nice and gracious with his time. Very friendly and like a walking encyclopedia about the shroud.

As for Matthew Miller it saddens me and I pray for him, as I was a fan of his show. High strangeness!

    Jesus is Lord!

please help me understand,or maybe its private hope I am not butting in, Peter Carenza?

    Hi cindy,
The ‘Black Pope’ is the Superior General of the order of the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. He is generally addressed as Father General. The position carries the nickname of Black Pope, after his simple black priest’s vestments, as contrasted to the white garb of the Pope. The current Superior General is the Reverend Father Adolfo Nicolás.

The Jesuits control the Vatican, the Illuminati, the Bilderbergers, the secret societies, the free masons & just about every political & religious section of the world, including communism & socialism.

I am currently reading ‘The Jesuits’ by Malachi Martin who was a Jesuit working in Rome under Pope John XXIII, Paul XI, Pope John Paul I & the 2nd. He died in 1999. He knew of the deep dark secrets of the vatican.

I have 2 neighbors living next door to each who is a staunch catholic who adheres to the Jesuit teachings and the guy next door to him is a Free Mason !! LOL !
Interesting times we are living in. Come Lord Jesus!

    • Bon Concerning your earlier Question How can one clear his mind?

There are many ways, but the most dangerous to the Christian is the repetitive of certain syllables over and over as is taught in many churches to be the gift of speaking in Tongues.
Let me say That I believe that Tongues is a genuine Gift of the Holy spirit. and that it is not 2 or more syllables repeated and repeated and repeated for at times up to an hour in prayer form, a practice that many Charismatics are taught to do.

This practice is in similarity to the Hindu repetition of a mantra, after a while the demonic enters with His counterfeit of the presence of God.

      John B

    • John B.,

I hate to keep disagreeing with you like we are foe’s, but I have to disagree with you once more. We DO agree about a lot of the RCC stuff…lol 🙂 I DO agree when it comes to the “hail Mary” chanting stuff. It sounds so satanic when I happen across that on the Catholic channel!

I used to think the same as you about tongues until I experienced it. I dont talk about it much because I KNOW how it looks and sounds to people who have never done it. I saw it for YEARS and felt it was “showie”. I now consider it private and personal prayer time. I cant give account for EVERYONE speaking in church (it DOES seem showie in a lot of cases), but it is real.

It is extremely difficult to explain, but I will try. I felt indifferent about it for years and I couldnt see a good purpose for it (besides showing how “spiritual” you are). One day I heard someone explain it as prayer that your carnal mind cant interfere with and doubt/second guess. Its pure effective prayer that is not hindered by your reasoning and doubtful mind. It directly bypasses from your spirit and through your mouth in order to effect this realm. (our mouth is the authority here).

When I heard it explained this way, I thought, “oh!” and there IS a good purpose for it. I couldnt see how it could happen, but I prayed that the Lord give me the gift if he wanted to move through me that way. Soon after, I felt curious in the shower and opened my mouth. Its VERY hard to explain, but the closest thing I could liken it to is maybe laughter or sneezing? (Just the way its not ENTIRELY voluntary)

Take it from me, I absolutely HATE religious hype and silly traditions and jargon. It isn’t.

    • Oh, and my mind is not “blank” during. Its more like astonished at what is coming out of my mouth. Sometimes I will feel a great groaning deep in the pit of my stomach and I will weep. I dont know why in my mind, but my spirit feels a deep concern for something.(like your heart feels when you see the suffering from a major disaster). Sometimes a certain word comes out and it feels like an “Old Yeller” moment. I have no idea whats going on, but I trust the Lord and think its probably a good thing that I dont. Its pure prayer PURELY of the will of God.

    • Well, maybe we DO agree if all you are saying is that “a few syllables” repeated is not true tongues? Maybe I read you wrong? Apologies if I did 🙂

  12. Hi LA, so happy you retrieved all your books and had a good time with the Deyos. I wholeheartedly agree with you about preparing. Joseph prepared, and so did
Noah. We should all prepare as Adonai leads us.
My heart is heavy regarding Matthew Miller. It has taught me something though. We are to be led by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and not man. We all need to be like the Bereans who “searched the scriptures”. Apologies needed to be made to you, and everyone else involved in the conference because as Christians, that is what we should have in our hearts to do if we have hurt a brother or sister in the Lord. Matthew should know that he is forgiven already, but that does not mean he should not leave his sacrafice at the alter and run to his brother and make amends. For his own sake, he must do this – not for ours.
In Scripture the days of the week were given in
Genesis by God. The first day, the second day, the third day, etc. The names of the months were established too. The years, the holidays also. Isn’t it strange how all of those things were changed. Not one single day, month, year, holiday is the same. The holidays we celebrate aren’t even mentioned in the bible. I have such a desire for Yashua to return and set everything right. Oh it will be so grand for all of His children to worship His way. No more different doctrines. No more different holidays. No more denominations (they divide people). Oh my gosh – that in itself is heavenly to me.

    • I’m not so sure about this one:”Matthew should know that he is forgiven already”. Perhaps w/that mindset it’s why he’s not quick to make ammends for suddenly “Flaking” out. Check out some more scriptures on this topic:

      Forgiveness and Reconciliation

    • I didn’t mean to say that Matthew was already forgiven by God. I meant to say that he has already been forgiven by me. I cannot deal with holding anger or bitterness or unforgiveness in my heart toward anyone. I have to forgive, lest I won’t be forgiven by God. What Matthew does, is between him and God. He must get right with God if he is a Christian and wants God to hear his prayers, just as we all do . I don’t know about any other doctrine? I never heard of what you were referring to Late Night Lisa. I have people in my life who have disappointed me, hurt me at one time or another. Holding onto that will only make me sick. I forgive and release it all to God. He is the only one who really knows the hearts and minds of all concerned and He will deal with it.

  13. The Sabbath is the 7th day — Saturday. It is good to worship God any day, but the Sabbath has a lot more meaning. It is the day we especially honor God as the Creator and we rest on that day because it was the day he rested after the work of creation. He established the Sabbath and told mankind to REMEMBER and OBSERVE it. It is so important that He made it one of the Ten Commandments, and He wasn’t referring to just any day. But we are not to become too legalistic about it or any other of God’s appointed times — Jesus had to rebuke the Pharisees because they often complained that He was not keeping Shabbat. Of course, many people are required to work on Saturday, but we can still remember and lift up our hearts and prayers.

By the way, Sunday worship was instituted in the 4th century by Constantine after he legalized Christianity. He was quite a politician — there were also 3 different sun worshipping sects in the empire and he wanted everyone to just get along. He didn’t like the Jews, threw out of the Church everything related to Jewish holidays and celebrations, and instituted Sunday worship (mollifying Christians because Christ was resurrected on that day, as well as the sun worshippers). After this, all sorts of pagan influences were introduced into the Church, especially when Christianity was made the official state religion of Rome a couple of emperors later.

Anyway, the Bible states (in Isaiah 66) that even after the end of this world as we know it, all flesh shall come to worship the Lord on the Sabbath. Also, as with all of God’s Appointed Times, the Sabbath is prophetic — it looks forward to the spiritual rest all will experience when Yeshua returns to set up His Kingdom.

    • Most dont understand the Holy Days are not obsolete “Jewish” observances, but in fact picture, in sequence, the destiny God has planned for ALL humanity. God Himself ordained these Holy Days for ALL of His people to observe.
Sadly, most of us just “grew up” in Protestant churches—or in Catholicism—and basically took for granted all that we were taught about God, Christ and religion. Very few people usually bother—even after reaching adulthood—to actually study and genuinely prove WHY they believe what they believe. It just seems easier to “follow the crowd” and go along with whatever they have been taught.
Luke tells us: “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover” (2:40–41). Then the account describes how “when they had finished the days… Jesus lingered behind” (v. 43). All scholars recognize that “the days” spoken of here were the Days of Unleavened Bread, which come immediately after the Passover. So even though Jesus was “strong in the spirit” and able to discuss spiritual principles at the highest level with the doctors of the Jewish law, He joined His parents in keeping the Days of Unleavened Bread.

During His ministry, we find Jesus going up to observe the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. He told His physical brothers, “You go up to this feast” (John 7:8). Clearly, they were instructed by the Son of God to go up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles! Then, Jesus Himself went up secretly, at first, so as not to arouse persecution (v. 10). Then “about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught” (v. 14).

At the end of Jesus’ human life, Luke tells us: “Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, ‘Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat…. ‘ Then He said to them, ‘With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer'” (Luke 22:7–8, 15). So as an adult—setting us an example—Jesus observed the Passover.

Then we find that the inspired Apostolic Church began on another of God’s Holy Days, the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1). What if the disciples had rejected God’s Holy Days and were not even there on the day when the Holy Spirit was given?

Some may assume that this was the only Day of Pentecost the early Church observed. Not so. For in Acts 20:16 we read, “For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he would not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost.” And Paul observed yet another Pentecost in Ephesus: “But I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:8–9).

Also, the Apostle Paul clearly commanded the Gentile Church at Corinth to observe the Days of Unleavened Bread. Speaking of these days, Paul wrote: “Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us KEEP THE FEAST, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” (1 Corinthians 5:7–8). Paul was obviously speaking of “keeping the Feast” of Unleavened Bread.

    • Margaret: Thank you for this easy to understand presentation that the Jewish feasts were not done away with in the newly formed Church. How do I get my Catholic raised husband to see this?? Oy vey!!!!

    • Hi Margaret and Carol:
My husband and I love to celebrate the feasts of the Lord. We have done this for many years and have celebrated some of them in Israel. This years special days are for the year 2011 (5772 )
Rosh HaShana (Feast of Trumpets) Sept. 29-10
Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Oct. 8
Sukkot (Festival of Booths) Oct 13-19
      Simchat Torah Oct. 21
      Hanukkah Dec 21-28

    • Thank you Kathleen you answered Elaine’s Question.I wanted to say to Carol pray for him.Show him scripture.I am amazed at the people who cant see this.Ask him if he would let a disobedient child live in his house? He has to have the love of the truth of torah. The Works of Satan: Transgression of Torah. Those that don’t love the Torah are perishing and will be overcome with delusion.Everything hinges on whether a person is in the Covenant relationship or not. Most don’t want to be because it does take studying an disciple. Now, here’s the question:ask him IF in the past God told His people to celebrate HIS feasts forever, and IF we are going to be required to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in the future Messianic Age, WHY DID WE STOP? Thousands of years ago, God set an appointment to meet with US, if you are one of His people. He will show up…will we? Carol many will miss this because they are not obeying. The final biblical statement of the promise of “God with us” is found in

Rev. 21:3: And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

Notice that once again, Feast of Tabernacles imagery is used in this promise of future fellowship with God. It is also significant that this verse includes a three-part refrain that is repeated throughout the Bible to express God’s desire to be with us: I will be your God, you shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of you. This promise is stated in full in Lev. 26:12, Ezek.37:27, 2 Cor 6:16, and Rev. 21:3, and parts of it appear in many other verses (see [4, p. 34]). Thus, Revelation 21:3 gives a fitting summary and conclusion of God’s plan to be with His people forever.(those that come out of sun god worship)and keep ALL his commandments.

      Lev 23:1-2
23:1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed feasts , the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies

      2 Cor 6:15-17
What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.

Revelation 7:9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

Many will get it in the End

Zechariah 13:9 And I will make the third part go through the fire, cleaning them as silver is made clean, and testing them as gold is tested: and they will make their prayer to me and I will give them an answer: I will say, It is my people; and they will say, The Lord is my God.

    • good posts, both of you! I think I posted months ago (but may have been someplace else) that I got to studying all of the “bread” stuff in the Bible and was in particular, curious about Ezekiel bread. (much later tried Ezekiel bread as listed ingredients in the Bible but the lentils made it yucky to me)
I learned that to make unleavened bread you really only need one ingredient and water! So I got some hard red winter wheat and sprouted it for a couple of days and then tried to grind it with a rock in a steel bowl just to get a feeling for how hard our ancestors had to work just to eat bread! after a full hour plus of grinding it that way, I made my patty of only about a cup of lumpy goo and baked it very slowly for several hours in a low temp (250 degree) oven. Well, it was a crumbly mess but the flavor was incredible! Truly a miracle that as the seed sprouts it makes proteins and a practically perfect food! It even get sweet. Til ya try this you have no idea of how much flavor real bread should have!
Stubbornly, I continued to try til I got the hang of it and now use a hand cranked meat grinder. It is sustenance and really makes ya humble!
Now, I’d like to do a feast/fast with only unleavened bread and all of the sprout jars and grinding every day that goes with it.
You two seem to be up on the Hebrew calendar. Could one of you post the feast dates as they will fall on our current calendar here?

    • okay, got off the lazy google finger again: Now to decide which ones to start with….passover has passed for this year but I really want to do this! More to study! But first….off to work!

    • Elaine these are the purposes for the Feast of God that not many understand why we are to do them.Leaven is sin and false doctrine. It makes us reflect on him and our sin most refuse to do so.God has a reason for everything. These are three we are commanded to keep.

The Feast of Trumpets Feast of Trumpets

Also known as Rosh Hashanah, celebrates the new year in Christ. It is believed that God created the world during this time. On this day, a shofar or trumpet is blown to mark the beginning of ten days called the “High Holy Days” or “Days of Awe”. The blowing of the trumpet serves as a “wake-up” call to honor God as King, to remember His goodness and His faithfulness to His people, and to reveal and awaken the conscience and soul of His people. The High Holy Days consist of 10 days of repentance, reflection, and restoration. This period ends on the Day of Atonement.

      Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)

is considered the holiest day of the year. Known as the Day of Redemption, this is the day that believers stand before Almighty God and confess their mistakes and sins. Participating in this day helps the believer to recognize that sin has been forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ. As believers confess their sins and recognize their dependence on God, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross frees them of all unrighteousness. In Christ,we have a future and a hope!

      Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)

is the climax of the Fall Feasts and the most celebrated. It is God’s appointed time for believers to come into His presence and celebrate His glory, provision, protection, and deliverance through Jesus Christ. Leviticus 23:40 says to “Rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.” Deuteronomy 16:14-15 says to “Be joyful at your Feast for the Lord your God will bless you and your joy will be complete.”

    • 1st John 1
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

    • Of course we are still going to “sin”, our flesh is weak, we do the things we don’t want to do. Yeshua said to Peter, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” The spirit is willing but the body is weak”. Matt 26:41.

We still need help from the HS to deal with our future sins, but Jesus forgives our past, present and future sins. That does not mean we should sin on purpose!! We will, however continue to sin in our “corrupt flesh”. That is why we are admonished to live holy lives. Forgive me for “preaching” to the converted guys!!!

We need to be praying for wisdom, discernment and conviction in our “spirit” when we do sin. If we are all in the “Word” then we have no need to feel anxious about what we say and do, as HS will convict us by what we know to be True.

    • The Judgment Seat
Daily Devotional for Monday, August 29th, 2011

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10

There are many motivations in the Christian’s life. One is our awareness that one day we will give an account of our lives to Christ, as He sits in judgment upon humanity. It is much more comforting to believe that Christians will be ushered into heaven with no questions asked about our faithfulness upon earth, but that is not what Scripture says will happen.

Paul cautioned that in the final day of judgment every Christian will give an account for his or her actions. This expectation terrified Paul and motivated him to strive to please God in everything he did (2 Cor. 5:9-11). Paul knew that although he might ignore the Spirit’s quiet voice during His life on earth, a time of accounting would come when he would have to explain why he had rejected God’s instructions. Paul never carelessly assumed that, because of all he had done for God’s kingdom, God would overlook his sin. Instead, he understood that to whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48).

God does not force His will upon us. He will ask us to answer for the way we responded to Him. Christians have been pardoned by the sacrifice of Jesus. We are not condemned. But because God is absolutely just, we will be called on to give an account of our actions. The Christian life gives a tremendous freedom, but it also brings a pervasive sense of our accountability to God and to others. We can learn from Paul that accountability is healthy; it gives us a powerful motivation to please God.

  14. Yes, L.A., I wasn’t going to add anything about the Endtime Tribune, but I have emailed a query via Facebook. They were off that for a while, and now are back, and it seems all is well. I am sure if the Spirit is truly in Matthew, there will be some working out to do between you two. I had never heard of him until you introduced him to me via Acceleration Radio, that was a while ago. I have cried over all this…I pray it all gets worked out, if not, I will pray for peace in my spirit…Thank you L.A. for all your constant standing when things are so difficult for some of us to stand. Blessing to you my brother. Carol H.

  15. Me thinks we all(me included) need to quit pointing fingers at each others flaws and spend time with Our Lord Yaweah praying for spiritual discernment about our own major flaws, you know the whole mote and log thing.Love you all my brothers and sisters in Christ.Randall

    • I agree, Randall. And if we would apply what Jesus said about praying for people that strike us in a wrong way, we would certainly increase and overflow with love for one another. Let’s pray for each other! Whether we agree or disagree, whether there are warm fuzzies, or spiky things.

    • :-O I love this one!!! : Psalm 109:4 “In return for my love they are my accusers, but I give myself to prayer.” It came to mind when I read what your wrote.

    • The problem with this is that Matthew Miller has set himself up to be a teacher/voice of Christ. He has hurt his brothers in Christ and has not offered an explanation, let alone an apology. This is not Godly behavior. Matthew should be shunned – not despised – but shunned until he gives an explanation for his actions and an apology for the harm his action caused.

Otherwise, we will be allowing a false teacher into our midst.
      Matt. 18

    • I agree too. I only heard of Miller after a Larry Taylor link took me to Rozz. She is such a dear and amazing Christian heart! The only internet teacher who has made me sob along with her! Miller was on her show and rescued her a time or two when she had technical difficulties and that endeared him to me but my real interest remained with Rozz. She is so real! Matthew has a “speechifying” style that is a bit distracting to me. I have trouble staying focused on the message with too much dramatic inflection and many pretentious pauses. I would listen to him but have to rewind so often because his performance style distracted me from his words. I am not saying there is anything wrong with it, just not easy for me to listen to him. Nathan Leal does some of the same, as does Dizdar. Good teachers but so much theater in their style! (Russ D has seemed to calm down and get a little easier to pay attention lately)………. so I am just as happy to just have Darlin’ Rozz back! I accidentally clicked her old icon on my desktop and the new Miller show was there. The first was Dori and the whole group sounding a bit flummoxed and nervously giggly so I thought they were getting ready to explain but it never happened and then tried him again last night but after 10 minutes without a single word about it, I shut it off and went to View from the Bunker with Derek Gilbert.
Also, saw a comment here somewhere about the Byte Show. GeorgeAnn has the same attitude as L.A. and allows a voice to some she may respectfully disagree with. I can kinda tell from the way she opens a show whether or not she thinks the guest is spot on…..I like the fact that she respects our intelligence enough to allow us to discern. We do need to know them to defend against the subtle lies of the enemy…..we war not against the flesh and blood interviewee.

    • Good point Rose, for the record I was not addressing the Miler situation at all but rather the constant harping on one another on non salvation issues that I see here lately, If someone is wrong about something that will cause eternal damnation then that indeed must be addressed but we need to let some of the other little disagreements go by. At this point most of the world is against us as true Christians so it is very important that we band together. That being said iron does sharpen iron.Love Randall

    • Sorry Randy but I disagree. Causing a little one to fall and perhaps give up on God will lead to damnation.
Miller needs to publicly repent, apologize, and be transparent. Perhaps someone says “aww this Christian stuff is for the birds.”
“That guy just bailed on us, has a new show, won’t contact anybody say anything. I’ll just go back to bhudda.”
Miller did a potentially very dangerous thing.

    • not sure what we disagree on Mark, everything you said i agree with, perhaps it would help if you read my clarification to Rose above. What I wrote had nothing to do with the Matthew Miller fiasco bro. Love you brother. Randall

    • I agree 100% with Rose and Elaine. Also I don’t see where anyone is harping on about anything. I think the comments posted here have been very tempered and level-headed. I tried to listen to their newest program but was left scratching my head… I was a supporter of Matthew Miller’s show but no more. I prayed for him, but that is all I can do. A number of people spent money to try to go that conference. If something fell through, then fine, but they can’t just pretend like the whole thing never happened, it is disingenuous.

    • I give up! people post replies without reading all the associated comments ,for the last time Damocles I was not refering to Matthew Miller!!! This is my last post here it has become a boxing match rather than a threshing floor.God bless you brothers and sisters hope to see you in Heaven where we are not so $#@& contentous. Love Randall

    • Randall! Please blame me and not Damocles, I believe D was addressing my comments and not yours. I know that as we sit at our little screens it can be hard to remember that it is not all just about us since there is no body in the chair next to us! But

“hope to see you in Heaven where we are not so $#@& contentous”

seems a little extreme and remember we must not be easily offended. It is all just words on a screen that may be seen by millions but whether you use punctuation marks or actually use swear words, the effect is the same and we we told not to swear by the hairs of our head or the $#@& on our keyboard. Please, forgive us all as we forgive you and now……new subject!

    • Randall, calm down. There is no boxing match here, and if I misconstrued your comment then I am sorry, no need for the hammer to try to fix the watch. Nobody was being contentious, certainly not me, nor looking for an argument, only open discussion and comments. We are all here for the same reason. I was only trying to make the point that nobody was being disrespectful or anything. Relax man, all is well. Wasn’t trying to pick on you.

  16. It occurred to me the minute I heard announcement of the conference cancelled that one of two things might have happened: One, his studies indicated that Elenin and other related objects are not what he had believed them to be, and he felt it was wrong to state this, and so left the page blank. Two, he was threatened by something that made him fearful, either of talking about the “stars” or something we don’t know a thing about. The only works of his I have heard on tape are the Elenin series. I don’t know anything else about his teaching.

I did meditation for a number of years. The mantra is not to make your mind blank but to interrupt chains of thought so that a supernatural realization has room to enter your mind. I found meditation physically dangerous and was very sick from it, and wrote an interesting account of my findings, which was nearly published until some New Agers who made big bucks and were influential intervened to stop publication.
I am just as happy now that it was not published, as it was, of course, dangerous, and I had more things to learn and do. I was able to influence a few “meditators” through
other means. Since I quit meditating I have NEVER been tempted to try it again and never had that type of illness again, although I have other serious illnesses.

  17. Late to the Blog today, celebrated my mothers 89th birthday. It’s almost 8:30 pm here in the Mountain Time Zone.

I’ve been a teacher for many years and taught youth and adult classes, retreats and seminars. I had an opportunity to teach 6th graders and did so for several years. There was a young man who was nineteen and wanted to be a Sunday school teacher. He had been kicked in the head by a horse at the age of 13 and had some brain damage from his experience. He took anti seizure meds which slowed his speech and made him sound to those that didn’t know better, like he was loaded. Add to that long hair and a beard.

Some said he wasn’t normal, we used to laugh about it because whats normal? His speech was slowed when he took his meds and when he didn’t he’d have seizures but his love for God was zealous and his love for others was real. The church wouldn’t let him teach a class and no one wanted to team teach with him. I volunteered and sometimes during class when I was reading a passage to the kids he would interject a verse that would add to the teaching and even make it even more clear the kids understanding.

Over the years that he taught with me, attended adult Bible studies and Mens retreats I watched him and was humbled many times as I listened to him pray knowing how he struggled, I was thankful for having him in my life. I moved from CA many years ago and got a call on day that he had a seizure in the middle of the night and died, they figured he hadn’t taken his meds I miss him and cant wait to see him again.

I appreciate how just about any one that’s saved and is in the word can bring something to the discussion so as to teach us all something.

There is a wealth in years of study of the word on this site and some day we will all be not just on the same page, but have complete understanding.

We must pray for one another and ask God to show us how to help each other in our walk through God’s word.

I want to thank all of you for your best, I truly believe that’s what you bring to this Blog.

    God bless you my beloved.

    • Thanks for a beautiful story, John Michael. It will be so good to see people who have touched our lives again.
BTW – I’m in Mountain Time too. Wyoming, God’s country 🙂

    • Suz,

I really like Wyoming. I’ve driven acrossed it a dozen time going to Yellowstone. It’s 7:55 am here in the Land of Enchantment.

  18. LA,

First of all, thanks for all you do to educate us on the times in which we live. I know God is glorified by your work and many are drawn to Him and His truth by what you do!

I know that Rozz is still doing her own program only through a different venue. (By the way, good show last week as her guest!) Do you know if Dori is going to launch out again and if so, will you keep us posted?? If you should talk with Dori, let her know she is missed!

I did catch part of Matthew’s new show and was unable to listen to the entire program because these unresolved issues were never addressed. Hopefully, that will be rectified in the very near future.

  19. End-Time Zombies this week on Russ Dizdar’s Preemption Broadcasts

Are you kidding me right? Nope! We are going to engage the ‘zombification’ issue that is both kind of real and is now a current theme discussed in end time prophecy, science and health/bio/chemical and genetic possibilities. This week in the subject ‘zombification’ we will look at voodoo zombification, the zombie effect of drugs on human consciousness, bio warfare, occult demonization and the coming ‘beasts’ (therion revelation 6) of the earth. Could zombification be the ultimate altering of human beings? Join us each night live at 6pm est.

Zombification …old school, zombies in voodoo, ‘sacred possession’ and the dark side’s invention of the controlling and altering of the human personality.

Zombification by drugs: ‘pharmakon’, how drugs can be used in the process of dumbing down, altering and controlling humanity. Drugs as a cultural, demonic and military weapon.

Zombification new genetics, transhumanism and the physics of a dark science. What are they creation in the lab? Do they exist already? Dark science, dark scientists and ………nothing new under the sun.

Zombification warning from the CDC (center for disease control), the coming zombie wars? Survival guide for battling zombies? Is there any truth to this?

Zombification and the scriptures: is there sufficient revelation on the mutation of humanity in the end of days. Zombification and the nephilim project, demonization, chosen ones, the rider of the red horse and the beasts of the earth that help kill over 2 billion human beings. What is coming down the pike?

  20. Hi Elaine: Sorry, didn’t see your post on the feasts and my most un-nimble fingers meant to type Sept 29-30 for Rosh HaShana. Thank you for giving the schedule for the whole year for anyone who wants to follow the dates – you are so dear Elaine.
I love explaining to my non Jewish friends that Yashua went up to Jerusalem during Passover because He kept the feast and He was/is our Passover Lamb, a slain sacrafice for our sins. The last supper was a Passover meal (seder) which Yashua attended.

    • Hey Kathleen! I have researched each feast and I have a list in my purse. Beginning with the feast of Trumpets at sundown on Sept. 28th this year I am going to keep the feasts and make my fasts with just my sprouted wheat unleavened bread for each of them. Cool that this topic came up now with just enough time to prepare and that Trumpets is also the new year celebration!…..Maybe I will add honey to the mix for Tabernacles!

  21. Well, my thoughts on the matthew miller conference had the slight markings of Jim Jones. The People’s Temple Jonestown, Guyana. Again, my thoughts which are not much these days. Becareful in these last day’s.

    • All Gone…can you be specific about “the slight markings of Jim Jones”. I knew Matthew taught outside of any internet teachings he had, so, could you clarify what you have said here. I would really appreciate that…thank you! Carol H.

  22. Hi Everyone, I don’t know if I am Kathleen 1 or Kathleen 2. This all started when I read a post from Kathleen about the VLOG and I knew I hadn’t written it. I am new to this blog by about oh 2 or 3 weeks and never saw another Kathleen on here so wasn’t sure what happened but wanted the moderator to know it wasn’t from me. Usually when you register onto a site, if your name is already taken, then you would be asked to use another name. That never happened. It wasn’t that I thought I was the only Kathleen in the world. My goodness no. I would have been happy to use another name. In the future I will post my name with an H so as not to confuse anyone since
I may be the newest member. Hope this helps explain what happened. My sincerest and humble apology to Kathleen 1???, and the rest of my brothers and sisters here if this has become a “situation” as I read earlier. I never meant it to be.

  23. Glad to see you here again, Kathleen (1 or 2 or …). Welcome! Hope you stay connected.
    Blessings to you.

  24. Welcome Kathleen 1, 2, new Kathleens, Kathleen’s already here under alias’, etc. I’m just one of several Lisa’s that attend this blog. I think you will find that on the whole, it is a great place to be. Wonderful watchman with great news, views, and ideas. Great brothers and sisters with so much knowledge, compassion, and Love. It is truly a great place…we talk, challenge, pray, share…truly a family. God bless you and all newcomers and looking forward to more sharing with you. I happen be signed on as Lisa and I always end my posts with Amen!, that way you can distinguish which one I am. Love being here and God bless you all. Amen :)!
