Paul – Another Assault on What Christians Believe

Commentary & Analysis

L. A. Marzulli

When movies like Paul come out, I have to see them, it’s part of what I do. Here’s the deal though, please don’t waste your money on the film as it is about as low brow as you can get. It is filled with profanity and afterwards my wife and I felt like we needed a shower! Who writes this junk anyway?

Paul is an alien that has escaped from an Area 51 like compound. He swears and curses, smokes cigarettes, rolls a joint with his four-fingered hands and inhales deeply. He is an ardent evolutionists who expounds that there is no god, no right or wrong, no good or evil, only evolution. In short the movie is geared toward the MTV Jackass crowd, it’s over the top stupid.

So why am I bothering with it at all … glad you asked. The movie attacks the Christian faith and does so with an unrestrained gusto. There is a female character in the movie that has been raised by her widowed, bible thumping, shotgun totting, overall wearing, over-protective, Christian, father, who orders the woman around with a series of grunt-like commands. When the woman meets Paul, by accident, she faints dead away. Then, when she awakens she says, You’re a demon! She drops to her knees and starts singing Amazing Grace. Hows that for spiritual warfare? Paul goes over to her and lays his hands on the  hysterical womans head – sort of like a Vulcan mind melt that was popularized in the Star Trek series – and she comes out of it with a new world view. She is now free from the rules and restraints of her repressive Christian religion and so begins to curse like a sailor. The next thing she does is grab the crotch of a man and starts talking about sex. Because she has been enlightened by Paul, she now realizes that there is no god, no good or evil, no right or wrong, so anything goes! She is free at last…. to have unrestrained sex, and use as many F-bombs as she can in a single sentence.

I wonder what would have  happened if the idiots who made this film used a Jewish woman or perhaps a Moslem? They didn’t and you know why, because it’s cool and hip to denigrate Christians and the audience laughed in all the right places.

In closing todays’ post: Paul is another assault on what Christians believe. It also indoctrinate us into the alien gospel, that ET is wiser more evolved than we are. What the movie promulgates is the theory evolution. All of what we see around us just happened, there is no God, no creator. In that respect, Paul has an ax to grind and does so by showing Christians as backward, illiterate, buffoons who are steeped in a superstitious religion that is nothing more than fantasy. I was appalled at what I saw, and I reminded of this warning: Because they did not believe the truth, God sends them strong delusion that they should believe the lie…

Woe to them who call good evil and evil good.

UFOs are Real, Burgeoning and Not Going Away!

We are now taking Pre-orders for Watchers 2 – Signs in the Heavens and Earth.

Place your order and save $5. go

Why are the nations of the world in turmoil?  What is happening with the sun and the moon? Why is it that birds are dropping out of the air dead, and why have fish numbering into the millions suddenly died without explanation?  Why are there sinkholes of gigantic proportions appearing all over the earth, and what is happening with volcanic eruptions in Japan, Italy and Iceland? And what about the UFO seen over the Temple Mount? Something has changed, and Watchers 2 will try and investigate if what ancient texts have said for millenniums are true — that we are entering a period where there will be wars, earthquakes, and famines — including signs in the skies and the heavens. L.A. Marzulli will comment as well as interview experts on this volume. Including: Chuck Missler, Rabbi Aaron Parry, Stan Deyo and Jim Wilhelmsen and Helena Lehman. Dr. Roger Leir will also give us his update on alien implants.

  1. I wanted to go see it and I usually don’t expect much truth from this type of movies. They are enjoyable, but from what you said about the attack on our faith, I don’t think I could have just enjoyed it for the theatrical value. I would have been P.O. to put it mildly. Bill Mahr’s Religulous seems more tolerable than this, based on your review. I still might see it, but I’ll wait until it hits NetFlix so I don’t have to contribute to their bank accounts. Great interview with Gary by the way. I enjoyed it.

    • How is that Bill Maur movie? I can’t stand the guy but I wondered what his film contained. (I hate to give any of these clowns even a dime. So I don’t)

  2. Thank you for sitting through that, I do not watch TV or go to the movies. I just want to keep my mind in peace and that steals my peace so I understand you are doing a wonderful service for all of us. I do watch you and Gary Stearman and I thank you for that as well. God bless and keep you safe and the ones you love.

  3. Thanks for the review LA. I think this is more of the same as before, and more to come. Hollywood knows what they’re doing and this is another prime example of it.

I had an atheist friend tell me that main stream media is for the lowest common denominator crowd. I argues the opposite. Media has produced the lowest common denominator in society and we are basically reaping what we’ve sown.

Keep up the great work! God Bless!

  4. Paul sounds like pure trash, you should have asked for your money back. Paul the alien sounds like the Paul Lynn himself when he speaks. Did they raise the old queen from the dead to voice this film?
I actually asked for my money back one time at a theater, I walked out mid-way through the film and asked for it back, when they asked what was wrong I told them the film is trash. They gave me my money back. I hate to put money into films that are trash simply because it helps their bottom line. I feel like I am rewarding the idiots who make low brow offensive films. But sometimes you don’t know how bad it is till your already sitting there watching it.

    • LA, Thank you for seeing this for us so we don’t have to suffer thru it.

I wonder if they chose the name Paul to be diabolically congruent w/ the Apostle Paul?

    • Probably so. If we talk about the Apostle Paul to them, they’ll get a “flashback” of Paul in the movie.

    • That’s why I have no desire to see it. Whatever happened to funny comedies? I haven’t laughed at a new movie in a long time. The funniest thing though is Mel Brooks films were considered dirty in their day but even he never assaulted religion like this and he actually had a story in what he spoofed. (I first saw The Producers this fall and that is one of the funniest premises for a movie I’ve ever seen. It just builds and builds and builds. But even then there’s the sex humor in it. Films could be great if they left the profanity at home. These stories just don’t need it.)

The comedies made today are for the most part stupid. They have no story and are filled with smut and profanity. I blame SNL. That was the start of the decline. They kept trying to outdo themselves and got their minds further and further into thr toilet. I don’t even find this stuff funny. I question just how many people do. I wish they’d make an innocent comedy again.

    • Ah yes, innocent comedy. Like The Carol Burnett Show. That is a classic. And my all-time favorite sitcom: Home Improvement. I just recently heard that ABC is in talks with Tim Allen to start another sitcom. Maybe, just maybe, the network will return to quality programming on network television. I’m not holding my breath.

    • When I was a kid we always came home from church on Wed. nights to atch Home Improvement at 9: PM. I haven’t seen that show in years but through my tween-teenage eyes it wasa pro-family show. They probably had a few sex themed episodes but I don’t remember them. I enjoy Everybody Loves Raymond but even they have a few episodes like that but even so it’s still usually in the context of the marriage. I can only remember a few (about the unmarried brother) where it was the typical sitcom antics. But for the most part that TV series was about family relationships and how not everyting goes right and we can all identify with that I would think. That was the most recent TV series I enjoyed over all.

  5. What a sad state of affairs.

I guess all us Christians are braindead country hicks. I guess I also better start thumping my Bible, rather than reading it.

Well, thanks for wasting your time on it LA. Btw, is battle LA worth seeing?

  6. Glad you want to dumpster dive for us L.A.! It’s even worse that I had imagined- (and that was an 8 of of 10 on the disgusting scale.)

This person posted all of the Illuminiti cards on Youtube so it’s interesting to go through.

The one card called “Combined Disasters” @ 2.51 shows a clock tower falling in Toyko & the time is 3:11.(hint, hint.)

There is a “Plague of Demons” @ 7:55
    “Cattle Mutilators” @ 2:22
    “Alien Abuduction” @ 1:01
    “Immoratlity Serum” @ 5:28
Rapture “Tape Runs Out” @ 6:26

    • “…When the Rapture comes, I’ll make ’em wait! They’ll never clean my cage! Now give me some more of…”
      (Tape runs out.)

      WEIRD! 😦

I don’t know what to think of these cards other than they are an interesting and mysterious glimpse of what some villains are up to. I wish that the Tape Runs Out card made more sense. Apparently the villains are getting ready for our disappearance.

It looks like a pretty nasty calamity befalling the Earth on that card. I wonder what the planet being split in two means and the tape sort of pointing to China, Himalayas or South East Asia area??? Is Iran split in half??? Maybe “someone” is going to hear of troubling tidings out of the north and east and will go out in fury to destroy many (see Daniel 11:44)???

Lots to ponder, but it is not from the Bible so it just may a bunch of bologna anyways.

      Curiouser and curiouser!

    • It’s been said that the globalist Luciferians (i.e. “Illuminati”) have some mandate (don’t quite understand why this is) to tip their hand whenever a big move is about to happen. Guess that makes this card deck the perfect medium! (all puns intended)

    • The thing I like is how certain they are that Christianity is the oot of all evil yet the same people uplift Islam as being righteous and peaceful.

    • Seems like a funny coincidence that just as things are looking pretty bad around the world, and many people are starting to take Biblical prophecy seriously, the media types start telling us Revelation is fiction. TV is satanic.

    • That media host is a colossal pile of ignorance. Secular movies like Paul is a great example and thank you to L.A. for taking the bullet on that one to spare us the grief. I am sure L.A. went looking for propaganda hints to the deception about aliens and was shocked (but probably not surprised) at the full court slam on Christianity.

It is now open season on all Christian beliefs, so we should be prepared that any witnessing for Christ will be met with laughter and scorn. We can not let that bother us or deter us, because we do not witness for the approval of people, but so that the Lord’s will be done.

  7. I have not seen it and glad I didn’t. Sorry you wasted your money on that movie LA. My thoughts on why these trashy movies about aliens are coming out is part of Satan’s agenda to desensitize people to aliens, ufos etc so when the Great Deception is revealed they will accept it easily. I observe the evolution of tattoos. Few people think nothing of covering their entire bodies with tattoos, from head to feet. Parents allow young kids to get them even ! May God have exceedingly great mercy in these last days.

How blessed we are to have the Word of God living and operating us. How blessed we are to know intimately the Word of God and share Him, the TRUTH with others that they may Know Jesus to the Glory of Almighty God that they too may be saved and delivered as we were.

  8. Sammy Hagar says he was abducted by aliens. Seriously.

Maybe the reason Sammy Hagar is not able to “Drive 55” is that he’s accustomed to riding in space ships that travel much faster.

The former Van Halen front man and current proprietor of the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, says he was abducted by aliens.

“It was real,” Hagar insisted in an interview with “(Aliens) were plugged into me. It was a download situation.”

The wild-haired rocker, who has authored a new memoir, “Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock and Roll,” thinks that aliens were probing him for some kind of information during his days with the band Montrose in the early ‘70s.

“This was long before computers or any kind of wireless,” says Hagar of his experience in the foothills above Fontana, CA. “There weren’t even wireless telephones. Looking back now, it was like, ‘F___, they downloaded something into me!’ Or they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment. ‘See what this guy knows.’

Why aliens would want to know the secrets of a low-end rock star (Montrose wasn’t exactly The Rolling Stones) is unknown, but Hagar said they were after something.

“I’m pretty sure it was a wireless situation,” says Hagar. “Either a download or upload. They were tapped into my brain and the knowledge was transferred back and forth. I could see them and everything while it was happening.”

Maybe they were trying to download the recipe for his Cabo Wabo tequila?

Or maybe they uploaded it to him.

  9. I guess you could say the movie was… apPAULing! :-O (pun puuuun!) .. Movies have been extra weird and pukish in general.. there have been several movies I’ve watched recently where you watch the trailer and think “cute! I’ll try and watch it.” Then into the movie, I realize that the movie and trailer might as well have been two entirely different things! I’m thinking trailers are the only parts of the movie without trash (which is only three minutes), so everything else seen in the movie is filled with profanity and a whole stinking bunch of other things my ears don’t want to hear and my eyes don’t want to see. Ugggh. Plus.. if it’s not aliens, or demons, or superpowers, then it’s perverse… I miss good movies. (sigh)

    • Very punny dear. the trailers are indeed mostly made with a g rating so they can be shown before a g rated movie(few of those these days sadly) so yes the movie is almost always much more graphic! God bless

    • As someone who has been involvedwith films, you are right on the head, Kimberly. Modern trailers are designed to get people into the theaters. They can or can’t tell you anything about the movie. Here’s 2 examples.

When the movie ELF came out I was expecting a Paul like SNL mind in the gutter fest. I was totally surprised by what a charmer that film is. There’s some things I object to but compared to the majority of films today this one is tame. But when they advertised it they focused on belching and stuff like that.

When Back To The Future came out the trailers also didn’t reflect the movie. If it were up to me I would have focused on the time travel fantasy stuff. They didn’t do that. All the ads had the line “My mom has the hots for me!” And yet people went to see that based on this line.

If you lok at pre 1980 trailers those actually told you about the film and often showed clips. Many DVDs showcase these and today they seem quaint and slow moving for a trailer. But this is because ever since Star Wars the language of film has been faster and fast cuts. It has been that way, MTV popularized it and it’s only increasing. This is why most people have short attention spans. They are trained that looking at a scene longer than 30 seconds is too long and boring. I personally don’t care for a lot of smash cuts as I find them to be lazy film making but I’m in the minority.

    • Oh My Gosh, Speaking of short attention spans my mom in her early 80’s can’t sit through a full length movie. She sits in front of the boob tube watching, game shows, judge whomever, & Jerry Springer. Talk about a test of enduring patience-I could have gone bizerk looking after her a few months.

    • If we are speaking movies… I do not watch movies so often these days. But two days ago I watched the latest Russel Crowe movie from last year “The three next days” and was really impressed. Russel Crowe always brings it.

    • apPAULing!! I love it. Two thumbs up for that review.

If you want to see a cute movie using a variation of the word Paul, check out “Paulie”. Very cute movie. Some might even say it’s very tweet ….

  10. It’s all underwritten by Familiar Sayings too. Such as: “Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide” This sounds ok, but it’s a worldly Statement made by the late and great Jiminy Crickett, a Walt Disney cartoon, puppet character.

TV Cartoons for kids, I consider dangerous now. Spooky, scary, not really fun anymore, indoctrinating.

    • I make cartoons and I can tell you first hand that 99% of my class mates were/are sexual perverts. They actually went out of their way to include as much hidden stuff as possible. They always hated my stuff because it was so traditional.

I consider Pinocchio to be the most beautifully done animated film ever made. It is visually appealing, entertaining, and it has a great moral. I can’t say the same about modern animated films. I like some but not most. Dreamworks films always turn me off thanks to the inuendo and bathroom humor. I HATE that. Shrek would have been such a great movie without that but they had to put it in and it pulls me out every time. And they KNOW it’s off color. That’s the thing. With Shrek they were ashjamed to premiere it with the potty humor. Oh, so low brow is okay for America but not the Cannes Film Festival?

  11. I started watching some of the Older movies on TV…The good guy in the White hat wins and saves the woman. Very good plots and themes to the stories.

I really miss Red Skelton the comedian…The Best. They didn’t allow him on TV as he wouldn’t compromise his Christian Positions, and get a little “porn” into his acts.

    You will meet him heaven.

    • Red Skelton once said “Our Talent is our gift from God. When we use it that is our gift to God.” I’ve always remembered that.

I get into these debates frequently with people but I know I’m right. The films and TV shows of the past are by far more well written and well done than stuff today. Even the celebrities were better. Each and everyone had their own look and schtick, today they look the same. In the past you had Jimmy Durante’s and Bob Hope’s and Don Knotts’. Today you have very little of that. They all look the same. The humor back then wasn’t dirty either. Today that’s all you get. I can’t watch the late night shows anymore because it gets more and more in the gutter.

I remember the first time I ever saw a Danny Kaye movie (and I was just thinking about this today. Ha Ha.) When I was a kid AMC ran matinees on Saturday afternoons and I caught a double feature: Hans Christian Anderson and The Court Jester. Both are really great films (although I don’t understand why they had Kaye going after a married woman in Anderson) but I love the Court Jester the best. It’s such a great film. And I was like “Mom, who’s hat guy? He’s so funny” and I was told “That’s Danny Kaye”. You can find the Inspector General in most dollar bins (another great Kaye movie) but I guess The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is hard to come by. It’s one of the few I haven’t seen.

My favorite Carey Grant movie is North By Northwest. (Ever see it?) My least favorite is The Bishop’s Wife. I just don’t get what his intentions are. Is he after the wife to make the Bishop jealous or is he truly in love with her? It’s just not that clear.

I’m not familiar with Myrna Loy. Who is she?

Two of my favorites are Jimmy Stewart and Bing Crosby. Stewart is so honest and sincere in everything he’s ever done and he was a true American hero. I even visited his hometown once. Ha Ha. With Bing, he had some great films, but mostly in the 40’s. Everyone remembers Going My Way and The Bells of St. Mary’s but my favorite is Holiday Inn. What a great character he plays there. (Yeah, I’m a sucker for genuine romances too. Ha Ha…)

    • Goober Pyle forever ruined that line for me. I always think of him saying it on that episode on the Andy Griffith Show where he goes on a double date with Gomer and wants to impress the girl by doing movie star impression.

Here’s a good question. Was Gomer Pyle gay? I saw return to ayberry and he wasn’t married to Lou Anne poovey, he lived with Goober in a shack behind the Mayberry Garage so you tell me.

    • Was gay or is gay? I have no idea he had died ?
Which Darin on Bewitched was gay? Dick Sargent or Dick York, I heard one of them was gay.

    • Fear not, Captain Eagle knows the answer! (are you surprised? 😉 Ha Ha) Dick Sargent is the gay Darrin. Dick York is the straight one and in EVERYONE’S opinion the FUNNIEST Darrin. He had to leave the show because of health problems. They were going to have the mother in law change his looks but they thought that would be too unforgivable so they just quietly swapped Darrins after airing Darrin free episodes all summer hoping no one would notice. Dick York has great takes and is hilarious. Dick Sargent just comes off as fake and we see why. How could you NOT be in love with Samantha? What a great, supportive wife character on a TV sitcom. Whenever her husband got stuck on an Ad campaign she was always right there to help inspire him, if he knew it or not. She is one of the top TV wives of all time. 😀

  12. Laws were made in the past, that outlawed Subliminal Messages at the outdoor movies theaters.

However, no other industry was included…Radio, TV, Movies, Music that I know of.

This is also used in Grocery Stores’ pictures…Invisible things are hidden in the work, that our subconscience can see.

Pray this all out with Psalms Ch 91, and Psalms Ch 109, In the Name of Jesus.

    • I took an advertising class in college and they told us that this stuff is done everywhere and how it’s done. Guess who discovered its use? The Nazis! (All roads lead to Nazis! Ha Ha.) The CIA and KGB furthered the research and advertisers picked up on it.

    • In trying to figure out what I wanted to do w/art & career – I took an advertising class in college & excelled @ it but toward the end I figured out that I would be hired to use my talents to “lie”. That discouraged me from pursuing it further. Otherwise I really got a kick out it!

    • That’s why I work for myself. Ha ha. The funny thing is the perverts I knew in college are jealous of me now because I get to do my own work yet they make A LOT MORE money thn I do. Go figure.

    • Cap, as a freelancer thanks to the computer, I don’t make as much as I used to; especially when I was in the aerospace industry. However, I got a chance to work for the Lord with my talent and I took it.
The Lord has provided work and income as an artist for 35 years and still going.
      Praise God!

    • Wow, we sure have a lot of artists on this website. Creative people have seeking minds, I guess. I am a struggling graphic designer. Good with the computer, but not so good with a brush. Would love to see other people’s stuff. Here is mine: A couple of pieces I am particularly proud of, but since its all commercial stuff, none of it glorifies the Lord. Praying my desire to walk the narrow path and witness for Him will be pleasing to Him.

  13. It’s even worse than I thought it would be! It’s no accident that Christians are always conveyed as “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” style freaks or banjo-bangin inbreds filled with hate…But if the movie has to warrant a more legit depiction of the “church”, they portray the “Catholic” priest able to fight off evil with perfuse usage of hail-mary’s.Hmmm.

L.A. is awesome! It’s so comforting to have found this ministry! There is just SO much evil and deceit in the world right now!Few have eyes that “see”.

  14. Lately I have been feeling like Satan has taken a gigantic bottle of darkness and evil, and is pouring it into the world. To me, it feels more than ever, like the world is drowning in it.
Everything (except of course the Holy Spirit filled) seems to be affected. As all of you are saying here, the horrid movies, the books, advertising, the way people are dressing, it’s affecting our kids in school, THE WAY PEOPLE ARE ACTING, people going beserck as if possessed and killing their kids, on and on and on, even the churches. Uprisings in war, the governments.

    • Yesterday, Ryan made a comment in one of his posts about witchcraft. I don’t know anything about witchcraft, but when I read it, it struck me.

      Ryan said:

“…and we know the hubris of Satan is his pride and how much he relies on his own will (speaking of will, I think of the term “self-esteem” and the I can or I will which in my amateur studying of witchcraft is essential, that is the term of willpower).”

I have never thought about the influence of witchcraft, until he said that, and then it struck me – doesn’t this sound much like a famous slogan –“Yes we can!” ?

    • oddly and I have done this as have other people, it was not my original idea, if you take Pres O’s yes we can yes we can from his speeches and run it backwards it sounds just like thank you satan, I am not kidding it is weird!

    • Great observation, Carolyn! The “Yes we can!” slogan became a mantra…. repetitive and hypnotic…. during the campaign season. I remember when Nancy Pelosi stood on the stage chanting her little brains out and “directing” the populace in a rousing chorus of same. Ritualistic, no?

    • Haha.. I heard that! The backwards version of his little speech.. but then I was thinking it’s a little silly… because… what if he is saying “I like to eat chocolate cupcakes” in another language… or “I can stand on my head and hula-hoop at the same time” in another language? I think it’s kinda silliness… weird indeed, but silly. If one of us were to say the same words… would it come out saying backwards “thank you satan?” Yikes! I hope not… but probably. (???) 🙂 Oh gosh… and think of it… do we need to hear him backwards to know he’s already thinking it?… all we have to do is look at his eyes… HIS EYES!!!!! His little beady arrogant eyes… :-O

    • You gatta live Kimberly!”His beady little arrogant eyes”. That cracked me up! You know, its his smile that creeps ME out! I swear, everytime he “flashes” it (know what I mean?)it looks just like the Mouth of Sauron when HE flashes HIS to me!!!It gives me that same disturbed feeling…

    • Oh no! Bon, my comment is “awaiting moderation” and it’s in there twice! 😮 Uh oh… am I in trouble? :-/ They’re going to come and take me away and feed me to sharks… oh wellll.

    • My favorite Presidental speech blunder is when JFK spoke in German and told the world “I am a jelly doughnut!” because he got the words wrong. Ha Ha.

Obama reminds me of Thurston Howl III from Gilligans Island. He’s always acting betterthan us like we’re morons. He also reminds me of the Pharoh from Exodous and I swear I had a college professor who had the same mannerisms he has.

Kimberly, you HAVE to read those links posted about Obama yesterday. It’s an interview with an insider and what he reveals is shocking. There’s like 8 interviews in all.

    • Sharks don’t eat Kimberlys… they spit them out and go, “Bleck… that’s too sweet for me!”

    • Captain! I did read em’ I think from Stan’s site a week ago. I only read one of them… because… they don’t surprise me… they do, but they don’t, ya know. He has always seemed like a puppet to me and what that guy says in those interviews confirms it. I don’t know, I get bored with The Bama Lama.. booooored. It was interesting though. 🙂

Rose! That is most interesting.. All those times I watched Shark Week… I never knew they spit meee’s out!!! 😉 Whew. Haha, as a kid… I used to be afraid (a serious kind of fear) about a shark being in my pool. I would think… “Kimberly, seriously, how would it even be possible for a shark to get into your pool…. but maybe…. maybe there is one in there.. maybe he got in through the drain. There has been reports of people getting alligators and snakes in their toilets… hmm…” I was a kid, don’t forget that major major detail.

Bon… I’m gonna try something… a little trick, and if it doesn’t work… then I give up .. I was trying to pinpoint your disturbance feeling to it’s origin…. let me try again.. let me see… I’ll post it after this one.

    • Those articles don’t surprise me either other than we have n insider confirming what we have long suspected.

I’ve never been afraid of sharks but snakes in the toilet is one that used to et to me. Ha Ha.

Hey, how is Legend? I’ve never seen that. Is it any good?

Yes, indeed. Kimberly is so sugary sweet i don’t think anything would want to eat her. They’d take one bite and go into a sugar coma. 😀

I’d rather be deserted on Giligan’s Island with Mr. Howell than on Obama’s Island with Obama…Hey, maybe on one of his vacations he’ll end up on Gilligan’s Island. I’d LOVE to see that episode!! Ha Ha…

    • Ha ha haaaa!Kimberly…. love the contrast and compare images you linked for Bon! Btw, here’s a piece of trivia: the laughing satyr is none other than (the late) Freddy Mercury’s brother Tim Curry (Frankenfurter in a time warp!)

    • Whoooa.. my initial comment finally came out of hiding!!!!!! (Sorry everyone for the repetitive annoyance)

Captain Eagle… Legend is Tom Cruise’s best work (not really, but might as well be) He frolics around in a meadow full of spores (it’s supposed to look all dreamy, but instead it looks like allergy death!) and he chases a girl and says all girly-like “Lillyyyy” There’s a unicorn! There are annoying demon-things! Kinda strange music! Yet…. it is indeed a classic as Bon said below. 🙂 Ugh… and that is the perfect movie to find the most cheesy and unrealistic satan ever! It’s hilarious.

In A Moment… Ahaha, oh on! Rocky Horror is like acid in mine eyes!!!! 😀

    • It’s going on my wish list.

I saw Mia Sarah in Jim Henson’s Jack & the Beanstalk (if you enjoy Steve Quayle giant stuff it’s a film for you.) and I knew she was in Legend so I was curious. (I HATE Tom Cruise. He always lays himself. Why do/did women go gaga for that?)

Movie Devils like that (Tim Currey will always be Captain Hook to me) never do anything for me because I know Satan doesn’t look like that.

May favorite movie Satan is the one from the 1942 Devil & Daniel Webster. You guys all HAVE to see that. Walter Huston is such a great charcter actor that I had 5 movies on my shelf with him in it and never even realized it! His devil is a man but why I say he’s the best devil on film is because he’s in almost every scene somewhere in the background, going about his business, leading folks astray and that’s just like the real Satan. Plus his introduction in the barn is SOOOO scary! You’ve GOT to see this!

    • You guys are HILARIOUS. I cannot stop laughing over that ‘typo incident’. Waayyyy too funny. Captain’s typo (I was like, lays?? what???), Matt’s witty remark and Captain’s embarrassment. It is just classic.

    • Kimberly, you are too funny girl! The Legend Devil! HAHAAH! “Don’t you know me BOY?!”. That movie is a classic for sure!

I was watching the Obamination speech in Brazil last night and I told my son (again),”SEE!!! Its the mouth of Sauron!!”. Its the way he tilts his head and the smile POPS out at you abnormally large I think. Its almost disproportionate.Barackhenaten’s is nice and white but…

My son replied in a MOS voice,”The economy was dear to thee I see!”

    • Haha… okay… um… YUCK! I love, LOVE, the Lord of the Ring movies… but I can’t for the life of me remember that Sauron mouth scene! Was it only in the extended version or something? If not, then I must have blocked it out of my memory. So gross and irritating how he moves his head around, I’m so glad Aragon chops it off!!!! But yes, unfortunately for the Obama, there is much resemblance there…

      Ahahahaha… you are like… un-indoctrinating your son! 😀

    • Bon, I so totally see that!!! HA Ha!!! He just needs the helmet!!! I’m gonna morph a photo right now…..

Kimberly, I don’t remember if that scene was onlyin the extended cut or not but it was near the end of Return of the King.

  15. So what? MSNBC is a work of fiction. They tout the party line of the radical left and the administration.
It is all becoming enboldened as we move toward the last days. Satan is ramping up his attack on the young. They most likely will be the major victims in the “falling away”.
This nation and the West is a snowball rolling downhill. Now we are using our $90 million missiles and our half a billion dollar, B-2 bombers to attack Ghaddafi in an another exercise in futility.
What will emerge is another rabid Muslim state to sponsor terrorism against Israel and the United States.
I have been a hawk most all my life, but this latest gem is beyond ridiculous.
We are being played, big time.

    • And the most interesting part of this game Doug is that we are in the midst of it.

We are going to Stand as never before as the shaking worsens.

      John B

    • i agree Doug I believe that we are as a nation experiencing what befalls a nation that denies God as the creator as lined out in the first book of Romans. God bless

  16. The entertainment industry will burn.
It is the production of the thoughts & imagination of the wickedness of men as was in the days of Noah.
The Apostle Paul counsel’s Christians to be “babes in evil”.

Jesus said; “unless you be as a little child you shall not inherit the kingdom of God”.

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord”

    Victory in Jesus.

    • Thanks to both of you….I now CANNOT get that song out of my head. 😉 Oh well, I guess it’s better than a lot of other songs that could be stuck in there!

    • Hahahaha… Thanks Patrick. I was thinking she danced like one of my college roommates and she dressed like that too. *SPOILER ALERT* Didn’t see the disco ball drop, coming!

I needed the chuckle. Just got home from work- turned on the news and there are 3 wildfires burning near us. Should have known while I was driving home as ash was falling on my windshield.

    • Jennifer, did your roommate have one good eye too? Arrrrrrrrrrr I think pirate chicks are cool!

I hope the fires are put out quickly! I pray the Lord showers his grace and turns those fires into love.

    • Ha… No, but she would have looked great with a patch over one eye.

Seriously, I hope the fires are contained quickly too. I get really on edge when one is near us and it is crazy windy. A couple of years ago we were on standby to evacuate for two weeks. I drove everywhere with photo albums, birth certs, car titles, etc in my car.

Thanks for the kind words 🙂

    • It’s a one eyed alien singing and dancing to “I will survive” (I think it’s a Gloria Gaynor song) – until a disco ball falls on his/her head. (Although I compared the alien to my college roommate, the gender of the alien is in question). It is funny, though 🙂

  17. So obvious. Thanks LA, that you suffered through that movie for us. I certainly have no intention to watch it now.

Hey Ryan, your words yesterday got me thinking on the epistle of 1 Corinthians and I did some digging. According to the link I will post below it looks like we both are right and wrong in a way. Read all the way to the conclusion of the article and you will know what I mean. Thanks that you got me thinking and studying more about this. Some things just got clearer in my mind.

  18. Bozz – God created the seasons and the Resurrection. So your question of origins is faulty at best. My reference to the origins of the Olympic torch and the corruption of the rainbow is, indeed relevant. You are tuning over what is God’s to the world.

So now you’re saying all traditions are evil if they aren‘t found in the Bible? Are fireworks on Independence Day sinful? A Thanksgiving Dinner? A wearing of the green? And there is, indeed, no chain tying Christmas and Easter to ancient times as you claim. They are two different celebrations.

The Catholic theology that Mary is without sin is not found in the Bible and therefore not Biblical. The birth and resurrection of Christ ARE found in the Bible so they are not the same thing.

I do NOT follow Catholic doctrine, thank you very much. I know wrong when I see it.

This is nothing like creation/evolution either…

Kirt – Good Friday is symbolic, not literal. Since Easter’s date changes from year to year so it ALWAYS falls on Sunday it is not a literal holiday. That said, I have seen at some point a chart on how Hebrew days were kept track of the they started at sunset.

I write about holidays and give them a Christian core because it reaches out to nonbelievers. The fact is at Easter most people know about the Easter Bunny legend, a legend that has NOTHING to do with paganism. It’s a folk tale from the Dutch. (and I DO have a lamb in my story as well.) If I can lead one person to Christ through my fiction, which is ALWAYS rooted in truth, then my job is done. I also have a story where Santa Claus is a very Christ centered figure, just as Saint Nicholas was. I have shared some of my stories with about a half dozen people on this blog and they all have seemed to genuinely like them and are very supportive. A few have even thanked me for being out there to counter the Godless storytelling that a film like Paul represents. I am fully aware that you cannot please everybody and I know that you and Bozz would most likely hate anything I have created because it’s fictional. All I do is pray before I write and God leads me through the rest. In some cases it’s like the stories write themselves and I’m barely keeping up as I type. I know I do good work and every review I’ve ever got has said so. I have received hate email from both secularists and Christians for the books I write and that is why I’ve become so schooled on the origins of holidays and the paranoia some people on either side have about them. You can say I’m spreading lies and I may or may not go to Hell, who can know? All I am is hopeful that I’ve led a Christ centered life. But this is all part of the battle of being human I suppose.

Thanks for the info about the Torch, Jennifer. I did not know any of that. I didn’t know how they lit it in Greece either. I’m sure that has ties to the Nazi roots.

Matt – When you drop a raccoon off that was in your buildings and another returns a few days later chances are it’s the same raccoon. 😀 I also know that the Game Commission has tracked animals and proven they do travel long distances.

When we would get snakes my dad would chop them up with a shovel and toss them in the road.

We aren’t THAT rural (AK) Ha Ha.

That’s a neat story about the house though! Ever get a bat in your house? (yeah, just like that Dan Akroyd/John Candy movie) Ha Ha…Oh, and they had a bear in the house too come to think of it….

Bon – I’ve corresponded with the real David Seville (Alvin & the Chipmunks) He’s a really nice guy.

    • Captain give the webpage Bozz posted up above a read when you get a chance, please read it all the way through. I would consider it a personal favor to me if you will and would really appreciate it. Up to you of course my friend. God bless

    • I’ve read stuff like this before. Everything from the stated pagan origins of the datesand the customs is not something sll agree on. That is a big reason why I don’t take it as gospel that all symbols sad to be pagan are. It’s just like symbols that the Bible uses and sinners use. We believe that he Bible is truthful and go with that as beingthe original use but when it’s something outside the Bible and it’s not in agreement where do you do?

If it can’t be traced all the way back to ancient times thn it’s not the same thing. The festivals of old involved murdr and slaughter, do we see that today? They are not the same thing at all.

    • Cap’n Eagle- you are welcome for the torch info. I don’t know if the one in Greece is tied to the nazi’s or not.

I know I am late to the party, but I’d love to read/see some of your books. Where can I look them up?

    • Through some negative developments my website has been in limbo for about a year but I finally regain control and can move back in this May. I don’t post my name on here because I’m afraid I’d get Sarah Palined for being here and I’m such at the beggining of my journey I wouldn’t be ableto survive that atthis point. That’s hy I set up the email address I posted above. I’ve been talking to people off board about my books for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I could either do that with you too or email you back a link to my site when it’s back up.

    • Captain, you are exaggerating. There is no need to compare the things of God to Olympic torches or fireworks or having a bowel movement everyday. The link that I posted, clears the fog.

    • I don’t exaggerate. You just refuse to answer because I have a valid point. Your whole theme is that once the world claims something it can never be reclaimed by God as if the world is more powerful than the One who created it. When you et right down to it that is what you are saying.

The link you posted doesn’t clear fog, it fills the air with thicker smoke. I have spent years studying this stuff in depth and sites like this have about as much substance as Dana Carvey’s Church Lady “Santa = Satan” when Santa is Spanish for Saint. I remember mentioning that here and some of you were then claiming Satan made the Spanish word for Saint Santa to glorify himself. Sorry, I’m not just that paranoid where every single little thing is a conspiracy. God knows my heart and knows I’m no pagan that that is all that matters.

    • I do not refuse to answer. It is just that I answered on this particular question some 4 times all-ready (if we include our previous conversation months ago)! If this link does not clear the fog, nothing will my friend.

    • Captain Eagle -“If I can lead one person to Christ through my fiction, which is ALWAYS rooted in truth, then my job is done.” I can appreciate that. I think if the Bible was portrayed as a movie, it would definitely be a R-rated or NC-17 movie. I’m sure people both secularists and the holier than thous would gather up their stones.

Bozz, I can appreciate you for being you. I know we won’t see eye to eye and that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong being a straight-laced kind of guy.

I was wanting to go watch Paul so I could laugh at the sophmoric humor, and yes I like that bit of humor along with other humor. Life is so simple so in my dumb opinion, I think toilet humor is funny. While curse words or swear words may offend other people, they don’t really offend me even though in this forum I would not use them. Cussing definitely came to be apart of my life during my tenure in the U.S. Navy. However, the anti-Christ attitude/alien religion agenda would definitely be like single-ply tp with tobasco sauce as ointment on a hemorrhoid, or herrhoid if you’re a woman. 🙂 So I don’t know if I’ll go watch it now, since it pokes at Jesus Christ.

Why is it that out of all the religions there are, Christianity is the most offensive to everyone, except us? You don’t have to answer, Jesus didn’t come to unite; He came to divide.

    • Christianity is the most offensve to the world because it’s the only eligion that’s true. 😀

    • Well, Ryan, I am a one year Christian. By Christian I mean born again. And I am just wanting to please the Lord, nothing else. I learn as I go. I know we have great liberty in the Lord. But I also believe there is a line between the world and us who abide in Jesus Christ.

      In Love,

    • Captain Eagle,

Below is my response along with response to your post to me yesterday.

      You said

“Kirt – Good Friday is symbolic, not literal. Since Easter’s date changes from year to year so it ALWAYS falls on Sunday it is not a literal holiday. That said, I have seen at some point a chart on how Hebrew days were kept track of the they started at sunset.”

What do you mean it’s not a literal holiday?? It has been on the calendar for years and still is. Along with celebrating “Good” Friday which most churches will say that our Messiah died on Friday, “Good” Friday and rose on Easter Sunday..

Why keep something that falsely symbolizes the truth and that contradicts specifically what our Messiah stated would be the sign of his authenticity. The only sign our Messiah gave.

Mat 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The three days and three nights that our King states as his one sign of authenticity is not in the holiday or whatever you want to call it, of “Good” Friday and Easter Sunday. Coupled with Easter being a fertility Goddess, and Easter not being mentioned at the Bible nor kept by any of the disciples, added with a bunny that lays eggs or passes out eggs.. What does a bunny have to do with eggs?? Bunny’s don’t even lay eggs.. All of these twisted in lies and false symbolisms do not point to our true Messiah. Our Father has already told us what days to celebrate and they aren’t mixed with fairytale bunny’s that lay/pass-out eggs (or Bearded man that floats around in the sky with 8 tiny reindeer) or have a Pagan name involved or contradict anything he said would validity his authenticity.

Our Father’s Feast Days (holy days, set apart days) are pictures, foreshadowments, rehearsals of what are Messiah did, and will do… They are to be kept as he commanded. And not replaced with holidays that are wrapped with a bunch of lies…

“I know that you and Bozz would most likely hate anything I have created because it’s fictional.”

I don’t hate anything that is fictional. I am just saying don’t tie the fictional stuff in or add to what our Father has made His Holidays..

Do you really think that our Messiah; who was beat so severely that he was almost unrecognizable as a man, whipped, spat upon, rejected, a crown of thorns thrust on his head, Nails driven into his hands and feet, willing allowed himself to go thru one of the most excruciating painful deaths known to man, hung on the cross and worst of all separation from our Father, wants that time to be called a Pagan Goddess Name, Easter? Weather you admit it’s a Pagan Godesss or not you can not deny it’s not a name at all associated in scripture with our Father or our Savior. Do you really think that our King wants that time to be mixed with Rabbits that give out eggs (which again ties in with the Easter Godess, just do your research) or again you have to at least admit Rabbits have nothing to do with eggs so why? And why are Rabbits and eggs tied in with our Messiah’s shedding of His innocent blood to pay the price of our sins? Do you really think that if His very words are
“ 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
That he would want us to take part in something that is falsely symbolic of his very words???? As “Good” Friday and Easter Sunday are???

Captain Eagle your book ( your thoughts) is not God’s book or His thoughts. Also, If you celebrate “Good” Friday and Easter as most people do when they celebrate Easter, how do you get three days and three nights? You can’t…

If your going to celebrate any holidays that deal with God and his Son why not take part in the Holidays (Holy Days) He has ordained that are rehearsals of what our Messiah did and will do. These are Holy days that our Messiah took part in? We would ask our self what would Jesus do? Well, he kept the commandments and he kept the Feasts of Lord. Not Christmas, not Easter, not Halloween. Also so did his disciples, (the disciplined ones) So, i ask again do you follow the Messiah or your own thoughts and man made traditions?

      Captain Eagle you said
“the Rabbit does NOT lay the eggs! He just passes them out to remind people about the Trinity concept. If you ever read one of my books you’d know that. ”

I appreciate your smile at the end so I know we are conversing and trying to get at the truth here..

If I may add, so we go with your rabbit that passes out eggs. A rabbit has nothing to do with eggs.. they don’t even lay them…More importantly What does that have to do with how our sinless Lamb of God(Yahshua), shed his innoncent blood on the cross and rose again after being in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights???
Or show me scripture where our Father or our Messiah talked about a bunny passing out eggs??? and tying it in with his death, burial and resurrection??
If you study and keep Passover (one of the Lord’s Feast’s), You’ll see that whole story of Passover and the unblemished lamb’s blood on the doorpost is a picture/foreshadowment of our saviors innocent blood shed for our sin.
Not some fable about bunnies passing out eggs. And not about “Good” Friday and Easter Sunday morning which you can’t get 3 days and 3 nights…
So do you choose to celebrate truth or lies? God and our Messiah did not do both. They followed and kept true Holy Days.. Never anything that had lies in it. Or contradicted their own words.

    • Kirt – No one believes that Good Friday is THE day Christ was crucified. Therefore it is SYMBOLIC of that event. Easter and Christmas are the same thing. They are only SYMBOLIC of the true event. At Easter week I also recognize Passover as well as the Passover night Jesus spent with His disciples (some call it Maundy Thursday) You have no idea how or what I celebrate. You jump to conclusions because you insist on being right. The first people I ever heard about this from also tried to tell me God says nothing against polygamy so it must be okay and were looking for another woman to join their marriage. (and they were NOT Mormons) I have met many other people over the years who have similar beliefs like those people so how can I go down that road when all of this other nonsense comes with it?

For the third time. The dutch painted eggs lie the Russians and it is their folktales that has the bunny passing them out. I believe it was because the bunny was a sign of good luck for them and he carried their home made baskets on his back. From this we get the modern day Easter basket everyone carries. However, in one story I have read (not one of mine) the bunny comes on Easter because it was the first creature to see the resurrected Christ. That is a folk tale but it may be where the bunny comes from.

I never said to replace the holy days either. Why can’t you do both? And again I repeat, which you never address, it’s kind of hard to TRULY do the Holy Days as a party of one. I do my best but it mostly just involves reading or watching a movie to focus on that event for the day. I do the same with the secular holidays too.

I already covered the rabbit/egg thing in my previous post.

    • Colossians 2:16-18

16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

If some here feel that they are led to worship God on saturdays or observe jewish holidays, well, than they have that freedom.

Just don’t let anyone dictate what you should or should not observe.

When I celebrate Christmas I celebrate Jesus’ birth.
When I celebrate Easter I celebrate the ressuraction of Christ.

What a shame and narrow minded view it would be if I told someone when and how I should celebrate Jesus. If someone wants to celebrate Christs birth in July – let them. As for pagan holidays……..

I am not a pagan I am a follower of Jesus, so I do not see any day as pagan, thus I can freely celebrate Christianity on any day I wish.

      Confused……….read Galatians 3.

    • Imagine how I feel being told I’m going to Hell because I celebrate Christmas and Easter. (Birth and Resurection)

    • This is from the link I posted:

Should we observe socially customs that are rooted in false religion? (1 Corinthians 8). Should we participate in false religion? (1 Corinthians 10:14-22). Should we keep social customs if we do not know their background? (1 Corinthians 10:23-33) The answer to the first and third questions is This is a liberty. The answer to the second is This is sin.

Does this necessarily mean all should observe the social customs of Christmas? No, it is a matter of liberty and one must be willing to give up a liberty for the spiritual good of others. (1 Corinthians 8:8-9; 10:23-24,31-33; Romans 14:14-15; 15:1-2). Thus, if my observance of Christmas customs leads a weak brother to violate his conscience by following my example against his convictions, I must give up the exercise of my liberty to keep him from sin (1 Corinthians 8:10-13. Romans 14:20-21) . If an unbeliever is led to think I am participating in false worship by the practice I must sacrifice the liberty (1 Corinthians 10:27-29). However, I am not obligated to try to read the minds of others but am to react to what they say (1 Corinthians 10:28) . If exercising a liberty is disruptive to the peace of the Church, I should give it up (Romans 14:14-19). I must not participate in any matter of liberty that I am not fully persuaded is right (Romans 14:23).

Is the observance of Christmas pleasing to God? Not as a religious holy day to remember the birth of Christ nor as a congregational function, for it is both unauthorized and violates principles of the doctrine of Christ. But we may individually observe Christmas and other holidays based in the religious customs of our people as a matter of liberty. “Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.”

      A. 2 Jn 9 It is sin to promote & bind anything religious not found in the

Bible like Christmas, Palm Sunday or Easter upon others. Church shouldn’t promote

      B. Rom 14:5,6 If an individual places special religious significance upon a certain day and doesn’t bind it on any others, that’s acceptable

      1. Church shouldn’t promote publicly that which God has not commanded

      C. We need to examine ourselves in these matters:

      1. In some areas we can conform: 1 Cor 9:19-23

      2. In others we cannot: 2 Cor 6:14-16

Personally I do not celebrate Christmas and all the other stuff which I did for all of my life till now, because I am fed up with the secular friends telling me about Zeitgeist or talking about this on the internet with atheists. I have to always explain them, No Jesus was not born on the 25th of Dec, no, he is not Mythra or Horus and on and on. And then explain the evidence…yawn! And I grew tired of it. That is why I decided I much rather stick to what God ordained so that people see the distinction in my life, not just my words. I do not observe the Feast of the Lord, but I know about them and am glad that Jesus Christ has shown me the truth.

    • Captain Eagle,
No one one believes that Good Friday is THE day Christ was crucified? That’s what I was taught in my church and I have attended a number of churches that say the same thing.

Again Good Friday & Easter Sunday are FALSELY symbolic. If you mix fiction with truth it is false.. That is what Satan did and does. He takes lies and mixes them with a little bit of truth.

I never said I know what you celebrate. But you have stated that you do celebrate Good Friday and Easter. I am just trying to show through scripture the God nor our Messiah said take part in the Easter celebration for all the scriptural reasons I have already stated.

Please don’t tie me in with the first people who told you about this.. Tie me in with our Father and his Messiah and their words and their lives.

Regardless of where the bunny and egg originates, why is it mixed in with our Messiah’s resurrection?? You admit the bunny story is folktale so why is it being tied in with our Messiah??? Nothing about it is scriptural..Again its mixed in lies, that is what satan does he adds in or takes away from the truth…

You asked, Why can’t you do both? Did God say to do both? Did Messiah say to do both? Did Messiah practice anything that was mixed with lies? Or folktale?

We both no the answers to these questions.

Does God or Messiah say, if you are the only one keeping God’s Holy Days (which you are not) then you are excused can break my commands or take part in holidays that are mixed with Lies.

Remember Gods ways are not ways.. We must submit ourselves to his will… If you really decide to keep the true feasts of Lord and not Pagan celebrations you may be alone a couple of times in so doing but I believe our Loving Father will provide for your need especially when you are obeying..

Just don’t look to justify lies..

    • Kirt,

You wrote, in response to Captain Eagle:

      >>What do you mean it’s not a literal holiday?? It has been on the calendar for years and still is. Along with celebrating “Good” Friday which most churches will say that our Messiah died on Friday, “Good” Friday and rose on Easter Sunday.

Why “Good” in quotes? Was it not an incomparable showing forth of God’s goodness and love for mankind when He wrought our salvation on the Cross?

In order that this reply might not be too terribly long, I won’t address yet what you’ve said about the Holy Pascha not being celebrated by the Apostles, etc.; rather, I will limit myself to addressing what you’ve implied in this paragraph about the timing of the Crucifixion and Resurrection. I will rely primarily on John’s Gospel, as it was written by one who stood by the Cross (John 19:26).

      THURSDAY EVENING (Friday Begins)
      John 13:1 (KJV)
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

      John 18:1-5,28 (KJV)
When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. [2] And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. [3] Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. [4] Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? [5] They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he . And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. [28] Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

    • FRIDAY MIDDAY (12:00 PM: The Sixth Hour of the Sixth Day [The day man was created])
      John 19:14 (KJV)
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

FRIDAY AFTERNOON (3:00 PM: The Ninth Hour)
      Matthew 27:45-46,50 (KJV)
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. [46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [50] Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
      John 19:30 (KJV)
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

      Genesis 1:26-28,31 (KJV)
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. [31] And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

      John 19:31,42 (KJV)
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. [42] There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day ; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

Having accomplished everything He set out to do (τετέλεσται – “it is finished/accomplished/fulfilled/completed/perfected”), the Messiah rests on the Sabbath, as was meet.

      Genesis 2:1-3 (KJV)
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

SUNDAY, or, more properly, THE LORD’S DAY
      John 20:1-9 (KJV)
The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. [2] Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. [3] Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. [4] So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. [5] And he stooping down, and looking in , saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. [6] Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, [7] And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. [8] Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. [9] For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

    • Now that is much more manageable to visit. Only 300 miles from my place. But personally when it comes to fellowships abroad, I prefer to fellowship on the warm coasts of Spain. That is when I have the money to do so… 🙂

    • Hi Kimberly`
This painting has always belonged in my living room (over the futon.) But……….

    • I agree. Wow. But Kimberly could do something as good as that. 😉 God has iven her the talent.

Have any of you ever seen the one sold in Christian bookstores with Joseph working in his carpenter shop and toddler Jesus is playing with 3 nails? I know what they’re trying to say but I can’t help but laughing every time I see it. It’s like Joseph is going “Meh, He’s the Son of God, He’ll be okay…” and he’s hammering away. I just can’t get past the parent letting the child play with 3 HUGE spikes. I know it’s Jesus but still…

    • Haha… NO I couldn’t, no way… maybe in a million years or so :-p

I haven’t seen that one… but I love, so very much, the one where Jesus is holding up a man in His arms. That one gets me.

    • Oh, sure you could and you know why? Because God is working through you in your art. That is obvious to a lot of folks here. You will do some great God glorifying artwork in your ife. I guarentee it. 😉

I know the one you’re talking about. My favorite Jesus image is probably the ressurection one my grandmother used to have on her wall. I’m not sure who painted it but I’ve always liked that one.

    • I like art where you don’t see His face either. It’s both good. I tend to think of His returning Self that way while the paintings depict His mortal life.

    • Amazing how talented some people are to transmit the picture in their mind on a physical surface with such astonishing beauty.

  19. Ghost sightings highest in 25 years
Spooky sightings of ghouls, ghosts and evil spirits are higher than they have been in the past 25 years, according to a new report on haunted Britain.

    7:00AM BST 26 Apr 2010

There have been nearly 1,000 reports of demonic activity in the past quarter of a century, with Yorkshire the nation’s most ghostly county.
Encounters with devils, demons and evil spirits are as widespread today as they were in medieval times, researchers claim.
The research was led by the UKs leading authority on the unexplained Lionel Fanthorpe who studied various archives and websites as well as his own reports to identify all sightings and recordings of supernatural beings with satanic qualities.
The study found that despite being in time of accelerating technology, 21st century Britons have not turned their back on ghouls, boggarts, hell-hounds, witches, wizards, banshees and black magic curses, with a whopping 968 reports of demonic activity in the past 25 years.
The report indentifies Yorkshire as the centre of ghostly goings-on demonic activity with 74 reports of demons, including Uncabus and Succubus (male and female demons that make sexual attacks on sleeping victims), instances of demonic possession and sightings of hell hounds, water demons and demons with repulsive forms such as ghouls and werewolves.
Sightings of demons in Yorkshire have included a hideous shadow-like hell-hound with no discernible facial features which collided with a car between Northallerton and Leeming Bar on the A684. A sea-going water demon has also been reported off Filey Bay in Yorkshire. Witnesses claimed to have seen a ghostly creature with a long neck, a vast serpentine body and glowing eyes.
Devonshire rated second in the study with 57 reports of sinister activity, mainly from encounters with or sightings of demons with devil like qualities.
On Dartmoor there have been reports that the demonic shape of a man named Stephens who committed suicide still appears and bodes ill for those who encounter it his grave. The apparition is described as hideously skeletal and dressed in the ragged remnants of a grey robe.
Third in the ghoulish league table is Somerset, which hosts the highest number of monsters and has 51 sightings or reports of demonic entities, with Wiltshire coming in fourth with 46 sightings of demons.
Wiltshire is one of the most popular areas for sightings of phantom dogs, shucks or hell-hounds. At Black Dog Hill near Black Dog Woods in Chapmanslade, there are reports of a huge black hound with eyes like red hot coals.
People in Inverness report sightings of 13 water ghosts in the last 25 years, evil spirits whose main purpose is to lure their victims into dangerous water and then drown them. The water ghosts contribute to the area’s overall total of 39 demonic beings and one of the most notorious water ghosts resides in the area of Boat of Garten, which lies on each side of the River Spey, near Chapeltown and Tulloch Moor. The paranormal reports from Boat of Garten involve an ancient, inscribed stone visible when the river is at its lowest. According to legend, the stone is cursed and guarded by a malevolent water-demon, or kelpie-type entity, who protects it savagely. Anyone touching it or attempting to move it is said to become prey to this aquatic, demonic being.
The Demonic Britain report was carried out for the latest DVD release of US TV series Supernatural, normally broadcast on the cable channel Living.
Lionel Fanthorpe said: This report clearly shows we are a nation still rich in sightings and reports of devils, demons and evil spirits of various forms.
“The present human population is many times greater than it was in the past. Therefore the more people that there are, statistically, the more potential encounters they might have with these unpleasant, non-human entities.

Top 10 ghostly sightings by area:
    1 Yorkshire 74
    2 Devonshire 57
    3 Somerset 51
    4 Wiltshire 46
    5 Inverness 39
    6 Dorset 37
    7 = Norfolk 32
    7 = Lancashire 32
    8 = Sussex 30
    8 = Derbyshire 30
    9 = Essex 29
    9 = Suffolk 29
    10 Lincolnshire 24

  20. Great painting! Mine were smaller than that one, 7inches by 7inches square.
I had to do 13 individual paintings in barely a month every three months. So I am sure I didn’t have quite the time he had going forward.
If I can work it, I’ll post one.

    • Hi Rose, I guess ok, thankyou for asking. Been very busy, am working an extra day now, I am bummed out. We went and picked up a new persian red tabby 2 1/2 hours away on Sunday, and oh is he cute!! So that is my bright spot. Talk about instant love! My other persian red tabby died a month ago and for some reason we had an overwheming desire to get another one. Been looking and nothing and out of no where we found one and looks just like the other we lost and is alot like him. But thanx for asking Rose.

    • I’m sorry that you’re bummed out, and I’m sorry that your cat died! That is very sad. I have three: two are 11 and one is 16 (my joke is that she’ll be driving soon…). I know how I’d feel if I lost one – I’m so sorry.
I’m happy you have a new one, though. Animals, at least for me, are a comfort and a joy.
      I’m still praying. 🙂

    • Keeping you in prayer Laura. So sorry about your cat,I am a dog man but the love of a pet is a great thing regardless of species. We Got four dogs ,one cat poor thing is outnumbered. Also sorry to hear they have you working extra hours .I will try to spend extra time in prayer to help combat the darkness there. Love ya sister and God bless

    • Can you hear the meme? The nano and the shrinking human. The transhumanist priests are shoving their “H+” lies in our faces. Keep remembering Ephesians 6:12…….

    • LauraR, This is an awesome post…did you see the illuminati symbols in the backgrounds? The ones I saw were firstly the Fibonacci Spiral, secondly the big statue of Jesus down in Rio which we just saw the Obama’s pose in front of for a photo op, and thirdly, the two triangular V’s…one upside down and one right side up.
To see this on a major network newscast has highly signficant implications.

  21. Does anyone remember the video someone posted here (sorry can’t remember who posted it ) a few days ago with two little girls (sister maybe)singing country gospel in what looked like a hotel lobby? It looked like the whole family was playing with them in a band…if you know where that video is can you please post it again, I would like it send it to my mother who I feel would enjoy the music, I cant seem to find it on past post’s ….thanks

    • I looked and looked to try to find it for you, but couldn’t – sorry. Maybe someone else will know of it.

By the way, Matt, I so enjoy your “joyful heart” — truely “good medicine” in these harsh times.

      Bless you!

    • Matt,
It was Gordy who posted it and it was “In the Highways, In the Hedges.” It’s a song that was sung on the “O Brother Were Art Thou” soundtrack. I can’t find the exact video, but if you hunt on Youtube you may find a version you like and that your mom will appreciate.

    • This is a good one too , thanks…the one in the hotel lobby is good as well , they looked so nervous singing, was cute.

    • Hi Matt,

Here is another song that your mom may find inspirational.

Remind Me, Dear Lord – Alison Krauss and the Cox Family

  22. After being a student at a L’Abri you can apply to be a helper and not have to pay anything for food and lodging etc, Some helpers go on to be workers and members of L’Abri and therefore are supported by the L’Abri Fellowship. There are about 12 L’Abri’s in 11 countries. I was a student and helper at Dutch and Swiss L’Abri. It was one of the
most blessed times of my younger Christian life. It is a great place to study, ask questions and discuss the things that matter most to Christians.

  23. On the movie topic.. here is an awesome scene… (to me, this is the best kick-butt scene in human existence, more so than Kung-Fu even!!!) if you want to watch it, it’s in 2 parts…. soooo worth watching it.. I love it.
(It’s not squeaky clean however, there is some profanity (f word and a word) and the narrator says some crudy stuff) What makes it good is the showing of arrogance vs. humility.

    • Huh! Never heard of it. Is the film any good? Sounds like one of he art type films they’d show us in college like 8 1/2 (the most AGAONIZING movie I’ve ever had to watch inmy life. Oh, I can’t stress enough how long and boring this was and Felini knew it whn he made it! He did it that ay on purpose to prove a point! That’s why it’s called 8 1/2 It was his 9th film but he didn’t count it as a film so it’s called a half a film.) and The Bicycle Theif (which was pretty good. Sad but good.)

    • I love that movie… it has it’s moral flaws, but there’s a lot of lessons in it. I think it’s a great, non-agonizing film. Awesome characters, awesome relationships… awesome lessons. 🙂

    • My sister has been recommending this one to me for a lonnnnnnnnng time. Okay, it’s time to watch. Great link sister Kimberly:^D

    • Okay. Okay. We’ll Tee Hee. You just gotta watch The Dreamer of OZ though. 😉

Actually I thoughtof another movie you may like. I bet you ‘re a Last Unicorn fan BUT have you ever seen The Flight of Dragons? It was made by Rankin/Bass as a follow up and I LOVE it. It’s about magic vs. logic and written by my favorite screenplay writer of all time, Mr. Romeo Muller. It has an all star cast too with John Ritter (Oh, I just realized he’s in OZ too. Ha Ha), Harry Morgan, James Earl Jones, and Larry Storch.

It was LOOSELY based on these two books

That Dragon book is a lot like the Gnome and Fairy books from the same period (late 70’s early 80’s) where the author writes it as if fairy tale dragons are real creatures. I remember having my copy in school and a kid grabbed it, looked it over and went “How stupid! That guy’s trying to prove Dragon’s exist!” and he missed the whole point. It was a FICTIONAL book and that became the basis for the Dragon lore in the film. But it’s a great film. Check it out. Not really for kids though. If you liked Lord of the Rings it’s for that crowd.

    • I’ve figured out why comments get moderated! When you post multiple links in one post they await moderation. Hence my comment above doesn’t make sense. Do check back tomorrow after it’s posted to find another movie reccomendation…

  24. Some verses for thought. – –

Re 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Ac 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Ac 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Ac 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus will have the Spirit of Prophecy, read those verses again and you should be able to see it.

    E. Gibbs.

    • Sigh….Ugh! What more is there to say? We know he will do it if he can get away with it, just like health care. He does what he ants and curse what America wants. He’s Barrack “Thurston Howell” Obama III (and he really is Barrack Obama III too.)

  25. Now I have heard it all…..Pole Dancing for Jesus

Pole dancing as a workout is nothing new. Over the past few years, independent studios have popped up all over the country, but there is a very unique type of pole dancing class here in our area.

It’s called Pole Fitness for Jesus.

You’re probably thinking: “How on Earth can you mix pole dancing with Jesus?” You can definitely mix the two.

“I was actually a dancer for 3 years, probably 7 years ago or so. I did it for a while, it’s not something I felt very rewarded with, but to each his own and it was just something I decided I didn’t want to do anymore so I decided to take the part that I liked about that and bring it here but it’s so much fitness, I don’t teach women to be strippers,” said owner/instructor of Best Shape of Your Life Crystal Deans.

Every 2md Sunday of the month, Crystal Deans invites female church-goers into her pole dancing studio.

“On Sundays, we do pole fitness for Jesus. We do the upbeat contemporary Christian music because people have to bring their church program to get into the class, so we basically are just continuing the whole worship thing here.”

Don’t let the name of the class fool you though. There’s no prayer beforehand and there’s no crosses hanging in her studio,

“Just to get past the whole stigma of the whole thing, I’m very Christian. I go to church every Sunday and I pray. I talk to God things like that I think there’s nothing wrong with what I do. I teach women to feel good about them, to feel empowered and we get in really good shape. God is the only person that judges so anybody who wants to judge me, feel free to but I’m good with God, so that’s what’s important to me and I really don’t care what people think.”

And neither does newcomer, Tiffany Booth.

“I think it’s a fabulous thing. I was raised around religion. My parents were very religious and it’s a great way you get the stigma off. It’s not just dancing on a pole. You have music and you have girl’s together working out and it’s a different kind of workout. There’s tons of different kinds of workouts, this just happens to be one,” said Tiffany.

“I mean it does the legs. That’s why we wear the shoes. The shoes are good for the legs and the glutes, but it’s a lot of upper body and a lot of core,” said Crystal.

I have to wonder, if you took a poll how many men vs. women would support this kind of thing at their church what the outcome would be.

(Sorry posted this in wrong spot before)

    • I’ve heard of this! There’s also Bible ciggerettes, Jesus hookers with tattooed versus on them, and the list goes on. I thought this stuff was old news though.

    • Now, Kimberly, that’s poll dancing for Jesus, let’s get it right. 🙂 I want to go on record as I do not support this form of praise and/or exercise. Only people that should be sliding down a poll are the ones who work for the fire department.
I would be a terrible poll dancer; I get nose bleeds at certain heights.

    • Haha… so true!! (about the fire department)

Hmm… so I guess flag pole dancing for Jesus wouldn’t be your first choice. I personally like cow tipping for Jesus… why not? Cat tipping for the days I can’t find a cow.

    • Now that the flood gates are open, how about starting a group called Spiritual Speedos… It’s a group that goes around to different beaches during busy summer season and major holidays plus spring break witnessing and telling of the good news?

    • Ewwwww…. haha… ewww… Spiritual speedos!? Spiritual Speedos and Good News?… I think the news might be heard.. but it will be anything but “good”. When I see speedos I’m usually trying to find a spoon to gouge out my eyes…

We can work on this though… it’s got potential… what about an upgrade… to… Preacher Pantaloons…? Maybe maybe… they can have all of the witnessing tract printed on the loons! Eh?

    • I propose launching a group called LOOTERS FOR JESUS. I can just see the big mobster like thug going “I t’ain’t stealin’ this big screen TV for me self! I’s takin’ it fer Jesus!”

Instead of Cops and Robbers they’d be a game of Christ n’ robbers…

and sense the theme of putting Bible verses on stuff some how makes it Christian let’s just think of all sorts of SO WRONG things to put them on that will magically make it the right thing to do…

    • Ummmm….the idea for LOOTERS FOR JESUS is good, but I believe it has already been done; just under a different name: televangalist 😉

    • Got sad to say only about 90% or so ,but got to disagee with them on one question. they asked who was PRES and did not even have Michelle listed what is up with that?

    • LOL!

You did well, Randy. Some of us have been out of school for awhile. What troubles me is that kids don’t know these things – these facts should be fresh in their memories.

  26. just heard about a nasa guy got fired for believing in intelligent design. Don’t recall his name. But should that surprise us since they’re more or less an occult organization?

  30. Franklin Graham’s Warning !

Franklin Graham’s warning of coming persecution of Christians echoes what his mother Ruth and father Billy have clearly stated. Re Ruth, see search engines including Google for “Letter from Mrs. Billy Graham.” To see what Billy has written, Google “Famous Rapture Watchers – Addendum.”
Since Franklin blamed the Obama administration for his own National Day of Prayer snub and persecution, and since he accused “Christian” Barack Hussein Obama of “giving Islam a pass,” readers can get some rare insights into Obama and his fellow travelers by Googling and Yahooing “Obama Fulfilling the Bible,” “Michelle Obama’s Allah-day,” “Obama Supports Public Depravity,” “Prof. F. N. Lee’s ISLAM IN THE BIBLE (PDF),” “Mikey Weinstein, Jesus-Basher,” and “Sandra Bernhard, Larry David, Kathy Griffin, Bill Maher, Joan Rivers, Sarah Silverman.”
For a rare look at the 181-year-old endtime belief which has long neutralized millions of American patriots by promising them an “imminent rapture” off earth – which has diverted them away from being prepared to stand against all enemies, domestic as well as foreign – Google “Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty,” “Famous Rapture Watchers,” “Pretrib Rapture Diehards,” “Edward Irving is Unnerving,” “Pretrib Rapture Secrecy,” and “Pretrib Rapture – Hidden Facts” – all by the author of the bestselling nonfiction book “The Rapture Plot” (the most accurate documentation on the pretrib rapture’s long hidden but recently uncovered birth in Britain in 1830 – see Armageddon Books). Also Google “Stamping Out Harold Camping.”
