Sunday Go To Meeting BUN!

Sunday Go to Meeting Bun!

L. A. Marzulli

Jhn 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

I try to run at least three times a week. I need to do this as it keeps the old gut from expanding to the size of the GoodYear Blimp. I run three, flat, miles on the asphalt parking lot of Zuma Beach. If the tide is low, I kick off the running shoes and hit the sand. It is a time of prayer and reflection for me.

So much has been going on lately that I feel overwhelmed with trying to keep up with it all, especially  the hundreds of emails that I get on a daily basis. If I went to every link and YOUTUE video that was sent my way I’d never finish the Cosmic Chess Match book I’m working on.

So there I was a few days ago running, praying, thinking, and talking to the Lord when He said, Look up and be at peace. The world seeks to find peace in all the wrong places. Some people go on vacation hoping to find peace and when they return they are sometimes more exhausted than before they left! Peace, real peace, comes only from the Lord. It is what he fills us with on a daily basis. It is His gift to us!

We are told in Luke: Luk 21:28 “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

This is the scripture that I use in my presentations to show people the times in which we are living, reflect the time that Jesus warns us that will be the signs of the end of the age, or what we call the last days. Look up! In other words, keep our eyes, hearts and minds on Him, in the promise of His word, of the promise of HIS coming again. Because He told us in advance the events that will happen in the last days, we should not have a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. We shouldn’t be cowering in a bunker somehwere, holding our 12 guage! We should be looking up and our souls should be at peace, because He told us in advance of what was coming.

He did this because He loves us and at some point will gather us to him. This promise is our blessed hope:

1Cr 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

No matter what is happening on the world scene, or in our personal lives, greater is He who is in me than He who is in the world. We can look up and be at peace knowing that He is in control. That nothing is getting past Him. That there is no end run, or scheme, or plan that can somehow get the better of Him. We can look up and be at peace for He is our peace, as He is the Prince of Peace!

  1. As I was reading that I had to stop and re read it a few times because my mind if going a mile a minute right now. It’s sometimes hard to focus, but you take a minute to pray and it all seems so clear. Its great! It makes my day right around lunchtime to get a new blog Sunday-Friday when I am at work, it gives me a break in the fast busy days. When I am working on Saturdays I just read the last comments from the night before and new ones.
I get a lot of people that don’t agree with my views and opinions with what is going on in the world. Its tough. from 9/11 to man made holidays to ‘aliens’.I am looked at like a crazy person. I dont know how to explain everything, its tough to tell someone they are wrong and I am right, I dont want to look like a know it all, as thats what I have been told.
    Thanks LA
    God Bless

    • (Thought of you w/this Devotinal- The “infant” Yule logs……..Ewwww!!!!)

      Dear Connection Friend,

I read somewhere that in a recent Christmas season Americans used 28 million rolls of wrapping paper and 17 million packages of tags and bows, sent out 372 million greeting cards, and set up 35 million Christmas trees.

Some of our Christmas traditions are just that, traditions. Jesus was probably not born on December 25, for example. And the Christmas tree is based on the celebration of the reincarnation of Nimrod. The ancient Babylonians burned a “Yule” log (the Chaldean word for infant) in the fireplace, and the next day a symbolic evergreen tree was placed inside the house.

This pagan ritual is hinted at in the Bible, in Jeremiah 10:1-4. But before you get worried, I want you to know that if you come to my church, you’ll find a very large Christmas tree in the foyer! And you know what? Most people born in this country don’t know the origins of these things, and we aren’t worshiping Babylonian gods and goddesses. It’s not about that. (And it’s good to remember that Martin Luther was the first guy to put a Christmas tree inside the home.)

At the same time, what are we to do with some of these traditions? Let’s look at what Jesus did when He was faced with a festival that had a lot of tradition, some of which may have been true and some not. In John chapter 10, He was in the temple for the Feast of Dedication, also known as the Festival of Lights, or Hanukkah. You won’t find it in the Bible anywhere; it dates from the period between Old and New Testaments. But Jesus was celebrating Hanukkah, and He used the Festival of Lights to shine the light on who He really is (see verses 22-30).

And I suggest that’s what we do with Christmas. You can say, “Bah, humbug!” You can get “Santa Claustrophobic.” You can run from it. Or you can use it to shine the light on who Jesus really is.

People are singing the words we preach in evangelical churches every week: Christ by highest heaven adored, Christ the everlasting Lord. Veiled in flesh the Godhead see! Hail, incarnate deity! Pleased as man with men to dwell, Jesus our Emmanuel. Hark, the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn king!”

At least some of them don’t know what they’re singing, but that’s where we come in. We can redeem it by reminding them. Does it matter when He came? No, it matters THAT He came. Since the celebration is already ongoing, I say let’s use it to remind them of Him.

      In His strong love,

      Skip Heitzig

  2. L. A.: I come to this site for my Sunday message and you never fail to fill a spiritual need. Paul said to “comfort one another” (1Thessaloniians 4:18)and that is just what today’s message does. The promise of His “gathering us to Him” is indeed comforting.

As for myself, I am at peace knowing that He is in control and that He loves us. My concern though is for each person in my family. Most of them have been christians for years, but absolutely do not even want to think about or discuss “end times”. Maybe it is my fault, because I have been into the prophecy “thing” for at least 35 years and maybe they have heard me talking about it so much that they think it’s like “the little boy who cried wolf”. Sometimes it keeps me awake at night knowing what is happening right now in “real time” and they are so unaware. What will happen to them? I guess I just need to pray and then put in in God’s hands.

Thank you L. A. for all the work you are doing. God bless you!

  3. I like this site. I have followed it now for a year and one half. I have almost quit listening to regular radio. I download mp3’s of sermons, radio interviews of Christian prophecy folk, ie Wed. night to listen to throughout the day. I also am convenced no one wants to talk about this stuff. It seems like I am now drawn to it by the Holy Spirit. My wife does not want to hear it at all, and says no one is ready to hear it. This is not even UFO stuff but just end time prophecy stuff out of Revelation. I just continually pray for spiritual discernment of the times, and for Christ to allow me to serve and open a door. Blessings today…and always ….

  4. I love to hear testimonies in Christ. However I have to admit I get frustrated sometimes becuase my testimony is not your typical testimony. How often have you heard a testimony where an individual overcomes tremendous odds, submits their life to Christ and it’s as if their lives were forever transformed for the better from then on. I’ve been saved since I was 5, yet I feel like a man in a row boat on the open seas as wave after wave and storm after storm comes against me, each wave bigger, each storm stronger. The obstacles in my life have been daunting. I would love to say that christ came into my life at five and ever since I have held his sorch and sought only his glory but that has not been the case.

After every obstacle I’m constantly shouting out, “Father where are you? Where’s my transformation. Don’t you know how much I love you? Don’t leave me here all alone. I can’t do it anymore. I want to get out of this boat I’m in. I can’t handle the waves anymore father? I’m taking on water and the boat will surely soon sink. Please Father Please no more storms. I will do whatever you need me to do. Please no more.” Yet they keep coming and I keep calling out to him.

I cant wait to look up with my arms wide open when we finally hear that last trumpet and
    the words “come heither.”

If you have never heard “Cry to Jesus” Untitled Hymm by Chris Rice you are in for an amazing treat. God Bless Thank You for the Sunday Bun LA

    • Thank you for posting that link and your testimony. It’s a lot like my own. I know that Jesus will not give us more than we can handle but sometimes it doesn’t feel that way. I just continue to place my trust in Him and make sure that with all the struggles I may face I still take time to smile and find the good in whatever situation I am in. He will take care of me and show me the way. Once again thank you for the link.

  5. he following Ancient Alien video is missing the mark when they speculate that the ancient gods (Greek, Norse, Mayan, Sumerian, etc. gods were not gods but extra-terrestials. The Bible and the Book of Enoch reveals the true nature of these gods as being fallen rebellious angels who

when they were cast down to earth morally and genetically corrupted ancient people and inspired pagan religious worship and cults.

[2] That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
[4] There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

  6. AMEN to all you shared today!

Thank you LA for your diligence in searching out truth. There are so many asleep with all that is happening in the world. . . I find that overwhelming at times.

May we also take great comfort in these words: Titus 2:13-15, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.” (KJV)

  7. RIGHT ON L A — it is tough to stay in the PEACE OF CHRIST when the NWO criminals keep firing SALVO after SALVO across your bow — eliminating VOICE STUFF like the TUBE and RADIO helps —- but THE BATTLE has become so intense — that just reading about it can be bothersome
BY THE WAY — what is your take on this ANASTASIA — RINGING CEDARS book series that is becoming so powerful ?

  8. Swedes shocked by 1st terror attack in 3 decades

“And the army of Satan will rise up and make war against the forces of good in every country and the blood of the innocents will run in the streets and market places.”

The religion of peace, tolerance and exploding imbeciles strikes again.
They set their own underwear on fire and blow up themselves. It’s reminiscent of Wylie E. Coyote and his ACME kit. Do they not know how ridiculous they look?

  9. Thank you, LA, for this post. These words are so comforting.
It seems more and more, as the times get crazier and more intense, that it’s true, the only real peace is keeping our focus on the Lord. Like the wonderful loving Papa that He is, He will come and pick us up soon, in His loving arms, and carry us with Him always.

  10. This is kind of a small thing to ask prayer for but important to me and my husband. Our cat Georgie is very ill, pancreatitis and we have been trying all we can to help him. Special feeding, medications and lots of TLC have not stopped his weight loss. Might have to make a decision to end this if he does not turn around. I remember LA your loss of your pet dog not long ago and how you shared about that. God cares for us and all creation, ask for Him to show mercy on this little cat. Thanks ahead of time.
