An Alaskan hotel Web cam captured an unusual image of what appears to be a hovering cylinder-shaped object on March 20, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The witness is a frequent user of the hotel Web site that projects a live Web cam of the property.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Alaska MUFON State Director Brent Mitchel investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
AK, March 20, 2010 – Object captured on live Hotel webcam. MUFON Case # 22504.
Everyday I log into the website of: http://www.capchoice.com/, to see and compare what is going on in Haines AK as this is a future vacation spot for my wife and I. I found this website and approximately 5-6 months ago.
The live webcam refreshes every 3 minutes.
Photo: Witness image was cropped and enlarged for this page. MUFON database.
I’ve seen all kinds of weather and vehicular, pedestrian traffic in view of the webcam. I’ve never seen what I’ve seen this day. Once I saw the diamond/cylinder object, I saved the image/browser page as a PDF just in case the object was to be gone next time it refreshed itself. It was gone. I’ve never seen birds or planes in the view. I’ve seen rain and snow and ice on the camera. There is like a permanent dirt smear on camera lens right above the object which is always seen/there.

An Oregon family beleives they may have seen a UFO in the early morning hours of July 27, 2010, when they watched a star-like object get brigher and dimmer in MUFON Case # 24789. They also noticed a red light within the star light. The object also moved 3 feet in the sky as judged by matching the object with a nearby telephone pole.
A witness near Ligonier, Pennsylvania, watched a star-like object that moved out of the north towards the west and stopped directly overhead at 8 p.m. on July 25, 2010, in MUFON Case # 24788. The object appeared to be low in the sky and stayed in view for about an hour before fading away. Observing the same piece of sky the following night at the same time – the object was not there – ruling out it actually being a star.

A Florida witness saw an “orange glow” down the street which changed colors several times in MUFON Case # 24776. The orb was observed for 3 to 4 minutes – and the witness went inside briefly at 10:46 p.m. Upon returning outside, the orb was gone, but the witness briefly saw a red glow between pine trees in the direction of an old cemetery – then the sound of distant dogs howling.
