Palestinians kick off Jerusalem bid by ceding Holy Sites Custodianship to Jordan’s king

A historic agreement signed in Amman Sunday, March 31, between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Jordan’s King Abdullah II takes a new stand on Jerusalem – one of the core issues subject to negotiation with Israel – by accepting the king as Custodian of the city’s Holy Sites. The Palestinians agreed that Abdullah “will oversee and manage the Waqf (Muslim religious authority) in Jerusalem” and represent the interests of the Holy Sites “in relevant international forums… through feasible legal means.”

I have discussed the possibility of King Abdullah II, being involved in some king of end-time scenario for the past 10 years.  With this latest news breaking it would appear that the King may indeed have some role to play.  For those of you who are not familiar with this, here’s a short back story.

Abdullah is a descendant of the Hashemite kings.  Hashem was the uncle of Mohammed, so Abdullah is a direct descendant of the prophet Mohammed.  He holds sway in both the Sunni and Shia world.  He is also responsible for the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and nothing happens their without his direct approval.  So, now we see a newly formed alliance between the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas and the King, the former acknowledging the king as Custodian of the city’s Holy Sites!  

There is also something else at play here and it is this.  Jordan is already populated by about 75% “Palestinians.”  When I present this information at conferences I use quotes from Jordanian heads of state who declare, that Palestine and Jordan are one.  So let’s look at a few scenarios.

1.  War is coming to the Middle East and when it does I believe it will be the fulfillment of Psalm 83 – I interviewed Bill Salus yesterday about this, and it will air this Thursday on Acceleration Radio – and perhaps Isaiah 17, the destruction of Damascus.

2.  Nukes or chemical weapons will most likely be used.

3.  Israel will expand her borders.

4.  The King will come to the rescue, as a peace maker and offer a two-state solution by stepping down from his throne and giving Jordan to the Palestinians.

5.  He will hailed as the greatest peace-maker in the history of the world.

6.  He then will be asked to set up a constitutional monarchy in Iraq, as the country continues to be unstable and is in desperate need of a strongman.

7.  Since he controls the Temple Mount, will he then allow the Jews to rebuild their temple?

In closing todays post:  This latest development giving Abdullah control of Jerusalem’s, Holy Sites is another step giving the King more power and control. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.  Right now we are on this side of prophecy being fulfilled and we all see dimly.  However when these things begin to happen it will become clear to most of us.  In the meantime we watch and are ready because in the end these events herald the return of the King!

Prophecy Today – News Update

Recently, as many as ten thousand Moslem children were on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to demonstrate the next generation of Moslems that will defend and continue the safekeeping of the Temple Mount, the Al Aqsa Mosque, as the Moslem world refers to this piece of real estate sacred to both Jews and Moslems.

The Mufti, Sheik Sabri, told the thousands of children swearing by Allah that the Jews will never return to take the Temple Mount and build their Temple there which is the Jewish dream, and the Mufti said that dream will never be fulfilled.

Contrary to what the Mufti of Jerusalem’s wishful thinking, in the above article states, the third temple will be rebuilt.  He can proclaim that the Jewish dream of building the temple will never be fulfilled, but he has no idea who it is that he is dealing with.  The God of the Bible has declared through prophecy, events that are unfolding before our eyes.   We have seen the fulfillment of Ezekiel 37, as the Jews were brought back from the four corners of the world and the establishment of Israel became a reality.  We have seen the 2000 year old prophecy of Jerusalem being controlled by the gentiles fulfilled, as Israel now has declared that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel.   The instruments have already been created for the temple sacrifices, when the Jews get permission to build it they will use them.  The stones have also been quarried and are ready to be placed on the Mount, when the deal is cut to allow the Jews to do so.

The one who arranges for the Jews to build the third temple will be the one-who-is-instead-of-Christ, or the Anti-messiah.  So if we are here and the deal is cut we will no exactly who he is, there’s no way around this.

The temple mount is a hot button issue and as of this post it is very clear that the Jews will not be able to build their temple as things stand at the moment. However, who amongst us would have imagined the creation of Israel a hundred years ago?  Who would have thought that the Jews would win a war against 5 of its Arab neighbors, in 1948?  Who would have foreseen the Arab Spring a year ago?  Events can change very quickly in the Middle East, and while at this time the Mufti can boast that the Jewish dream will never be fulfilled, at some point he will be proved wrong.

In closing today’s Post: There are those Christians in the replacement Theology camp that believes that the Church is now Israel and the promises that were given to her now belong to the church.  However, there is no scripture that points to this and in my opinion it is a grave error to position oneself in this camp.  Israel is back in her homeland after almost 2000 years of Diaspora.  This is not a coincidence but is the hand of the Almighty.  At some point in the future the third temple will be rebuilt, because the most Hight God, who sees the end before the beginning has declared it so!

Half the Public Wants to See Holy Temple Rebuilt

I have stated publicly, numerous times that at some point the Jews in Israel will rebuild the temple. There are many who do not believe that this will ever happen. There are those who declare that the church is the new Israel, which is replacement theology which I believe is a grave error. There are others who insist that it is not a literal temple that will be rebuilt. At some point, as I commented on last week, all of this will be self-evident as we watch events unfold.

The link to the above article states that about 42% of the Israeli’s believe that the Temple will be rebuilt. There are those who are more adamant in their pursuit of the rebuilding of the Temple and want to start rebuilding it. One such group, The Temple Mount Faithful, declares that it has the corner-stone to the new temple and wants construction to start immediately.

There is a dilemma here as Rabbi’s know that they cannot begin construction of the Temple without the Ashes of the Red Heifer. According to Robert Reiland, the ashes may have been found by Vendal Jones, an archeologist. The remains of these ashes go back to the time of Moses and must be used to consecrate the new Temple. The Jews take all of this very, very seriously. Some Christians dismiss the Red Heifer ceremony and the literal rebuilding of the third temple as “nonsense.” I would caution those who are of this ilk that they would do well to take the prophecies that tell us that in the last days the temple will be rebuilt and that the Anti Christ, the one who is instead of Christ, will set himself up in the wing of the temple to be worshipped.

Remember Yashua/Jesus tells us that:

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,

There is the Preterist view that all of this happened in 70 AD so that these current events, of which I write, is moot, but the trouble with this view is that there is no progression of events afterward. Where is the millenial kingdom?

However, what we do learn from history is that Jews were scattered throughout the earth and that they remained there until the beginning of the end-times, 1948, when Israel became a nation in one day. At some point in time, and I believe it is in the near future, we will this prophecy fulfilled, i.e. the Anti Christ will stand in the holy place, in the newly constructed temple.

Until the 2o century, the rebuilding of the temple was considered a non-event, something that would never happen. One of the main obstacles was the Moslem Dome of the Rock, which sits on the Temple mount. However, research by Asher Kaufman has postulated that the first and second Temple was not in that location. Thus, in the Kaufman analysis, the Temple stood about 100 yards away from the present structure. All of this to say, that at some point we will see the rebuilding of the Third Jewish Temple on the Temple mount without destroying the Dome of the Rock. There will most likely be a wall that is set up to separate the two structures.

In closing today’s post, I would also point out that the one person who cuts the deal to allow the Jews to rebuild their temple is non other than the Anti Christ. So we watch and we wait and know that at some point all of this will become self evident….

The bottom line is this, when we see headlines that point to prophecy we should look up because His return cannot be far off!

Prophecy out of Context!

Over the weekend there was an FBI raid on a so-called Christian militia group. Here is a sample of what this group known as the Hutaree claims:

“Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment,” Hutaree.com reads. “The only thing on earth to save the testimony and those who follow it, are the members of the testimony, til the return of Christ in the clouds. We, the Hutaree, are prepared to defend all those who belong to Christ and save those who aren’t. We will still spread the word, and fight to keep it, up to the time of the great coming.”

Jesus never, and I repeat never said, “to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment.” In fact, He said just the opposite. He said, he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. While we should be prepared to defend our family in times of emergencies, like the lawlessness that plagued the good people of New Orleans in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, in no way should we organize a raid against a group or anyone else for that matter, just because they have a different ideology than we do. That’s what great about our country, the rule of law, not the gun.

I believe we are in the last days. I BLOG about this, and appear on many shows discussing the signs that seem to be pointing to the return of our Lord. For people who don’t know about Biblical prophecy a group like the Hutaree can do more damage than good. They come off as fanatics, and wild-eyed loons. They also take scripture out of context like the passage I pointed to above.

We are accelerating toward a war in the middle east. We see that earthquakes, famines and war and rumors of war are growing in frequency and intensities. However we are told to watch for these signs not to form militias and target other groups and people who may not agree with us. In Israel there is a group that is trying to force the rebuilding of the third temple in Jerusalem. Here’s the link to an article that reports on this growing movement in Israel:

I believe that we will see the rebuilding of the temple without the destruction of the Dome of the Rock. The person who orchestrates this will be none other than the Antichrist. Some of you may disagree with me and that’s fine, but when I read an article like the one I linked to above, it becomes very clear that this will, at some point become a reality. Prophecy is the future written in advance to show us that there is a good God that is outside our space/time continuum. Much of the prophecy which has not been fulfilled centers around the nation of Israel. Those who hold to the tenants that the church is Israel will never have a clear understanding of prophecy.

In closing todays post, passages in the Bible have been misinterpreted throughout the centuries. It is why we are told to take the whole of God’s word and not to cherry pick one scripture that support one position. My friend Bill Salus, who has appeared on Acceleration Radio several times believes that the next major prophetic event will be the fulfilment of Psalm 83. He may be right! However, I believe that this already occurred in the war of 67. We agree to disagree and we watch and see what will come to pass. That’s a healthy view on the end times and Biblical prophecy. Sadly, Biblical prophecy will be taken out of context by the media, and that which was given to us by a good God and separates the Bible from any other book on the planet will be looked at with suspicion, thanks in part from this group taking what it says out of context…..
