In the wake of the horrific shootings that gripped out nation last week, our leaders, specifically Senator Feinstein of California, are calling for stricter gun control laws. Meanwhile in China a knife wielding, lunatic stabbed 23 children last week. If we follow the logic of the gun control crowd Congress should make a law to curtail the sale of cutlery in our nation. After all, knives are dangerous and can kill. So can, axes, automobiles, pokers, lamps, golf clubs, oars, firewood, candle holders, pillow cases, and a whole list of items that I won’t mention here, but I think you get the idea.
It’s not guns that kill it’s the lunatics who use them. We have had a series of killings that have shocked the nation. Jared Loughner’s killing spree, the notorious “Batman” shooter and now, Adam Lanza. This last shooting hits a nerve as the victims were helpless children. However, to suspend the 2nd amendment will not in any way stop lunatics, or mind controlled sub personalities – the likes of which Russ Dizdar talks about in his book, The Black Awakening - from killing.
In closing todays post: The Russian communists rounded up all the guns. Hitler took the guns away. The Chinese did the same. We have the 2nd amendment so we as citizens can defend ourselves and our loved ones. Forbidding Americans the right to bear arms, will not stop the killing as demonstrated by the knife-wielding nut in China. There is evil in this world and it will continue to manifest in these last days. Unfortunately, I believe we will see more of these incidents as time goes on, as I believe we have become a nation that believes government is the answer to all our problems. Judge Andrew Napolitano says it best: A government is best that governs least. Gun Control will not work and it violates our 2nd amendment.

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Colombine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.
Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.
Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.
Chris Fetters, age 13, killed his favorite aunt while taking Prozac.
Christopher Pittman, age 12, murdered both his grandparents while taking Zoloft.
Mathew Miller, age 13, hung himself in his bedroom closet after taking Zoloft for 6 days.
Jarred Viktor, age 15, stabbed his grandmother 61 times after 5 days on Paxil.
Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.
Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.
A boy in Pocatello, ID (Zoloft) in 1998 had a Zoloft-induced seizure that caused an armed stand off at his school.
Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded..
A young man in Huntsville, Alabama (Ritalin) went psychotic chopping up his parents with an ax and also killing one sibling and almost murdering another.
Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.
TJ Solomon, age 15, (Ritalin) high school student in Conyers, Georgia opened fire on and wounded six of his class mates.
Rod Mathews, age 14, (Ritalin) beat a classmate to death with a bat.
James Wilson, age 19, (various psychiatric drugs) from Breenwood, South Carolina, took a .22 caliber revolver into an elementary school killing two young girls, and wounding seven other children and two teachers.
Elizabeth Bush, age 13, (Paxil) was responsible for a school shooting in Pennsylvania
Jason Hoffman (Effexor and Celexa) – school shooting in El Cajon, California
Jarred Viktor, age 15, (Paxil), after five days on Paxil he stabbed his grandmother 61 times.
Chris Shanahan, age 15 (Paxil) in Rigby, ID who out of the blue killed a woman.
Jeff Franklin (Prozac and Ritalin), Huntsville, AL, killed his parents as they came home from work using a sledge hammer, hatchet, butcher knife and mechanic’s file, then attacked his younger brothers and sister.
Neal Furrow (Prozac) in LA Jewish school shooting reported to have been court-ordered to be on Prozac along with several other medications.
Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.
Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.
Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.
Billy Willkomm, an accomplished wrestler and a University of Florida student, was prescribed Prozac at the age of 17. His family found him dead of suicide – hanging from a tall ladder at the family’s Gulf Shore Boulevard home in July 2002.
Kara Jaye Anne Fuller-Otter, age 12, was on Paxil when she hung herself from a hook in her closet. Kara’s parents said “…. the damn doctor wouldn’t take her off it and I asked him to when we went in on the second visit. I told him I thought she was having some sort of reaction to Paxil…”)
Gareth Christian, Vancouver, age 18, was on Paxil when he committed suicide in 2002,
(Gareth’s father could not accept his son’s death and killed himself.)
Julie Woodward, age 17, was on Zoloft when she hung herself in her family’s detached garage.
Matthew Miller was 13 when he saw a psychiatrist because he was having difficulty at school. The psychiatrist gave him samples of Zoloft. Seven days later his mother found him dead, hanging by a belt from a laundry hook in his closet.
Kurt Danysh, age 18, and on Prozac, killed his father with a shotgun. He is now behind prison bars, and writes letters, trying to warn the world that SSRI drugs can kill.
Woody ____, age 37, committed suicide while in his 5th week of taking Zoloft. Shortly before his death his physician suggested doubling the dose of the drug. He had seen his physician only for insomnia. He had never been depressed, nor did he have any history of any mental illness symptoms.
A boy from Houston, age 10, shot and killed his father after his Prozac dosage was increased.
Hammad Memon, age 15, shot and killed a fellow middle school student. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and depression and was taking Zoloft and “other drugs for the conditions.”
Matti Saari, a 22-year-old culinary student, shot and killed 9 students and a teacher, and wounded another student, before killing himself. Saari was taking an SSRI and a benzodiazapine.
Steven Kazmierczak, age 27, shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself in a Northern Illinois University auditorium. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amounts of Xanax in his system.
Finnish gunman Pekka-Eric Auvinen, age 18, had been taking antidepressants before he killed eight people and wounded a dozen more at Jokela High School – then he committed suicide.
Asa Coon from Cleveland, age 14, shot and wounded four before taking his own life. Court records show Coon was on Trazodone.
Jon Romano, age 16, on medication for depression, fired a shotgun at a teacher in his New York high school.

I want to make a public accounting of what I did with the money we received for the trip to Mexico.
1. We raised upward of $14,000.00 Two of those donations totaled $7,500.00 I called most of the donors personally last week, BEFORE I went public with the announcement that we were not going to Mexico, as the Lord had given us a redirect. Everyone was understanding and no one asked for their money back.
2. Once we collected the $14,000.00 I mailed checks out to Russ, Richard and Larry of $4,000.00 each, and they in turn deposited the money in their accounts. They then paid POWER PLACES TOURS the $4,000.00 which covered air fare, lodging and food for the 10 day trip. Because I was a speaker my trip cost less.
3. Power Places Tours makes it clear in their contract that the money is not refundable in case someone backs out, so we can’t get the money back.
In the Comment section over the weekend someone called me a liar, accusing me of being dishonest. He or she is the lone accusing voice, everyone else has been extremely supportive and I have a stack of emails to prove it. We were told to stand down by the Lord himself and we obeyed. I would like to once again take this opportunity to thank all of you who contributed to the trip. Thank you for believing in this ministry, and thank you for your continued support.

I saw that a few days ago. I sent out a mass email about gun control won’t stop the Ninja’s. I posted the cnn link to a blog you had earlier this weekend too. It has gotten a long drawn out debate going with a few people. If you outlaw guns the dangerous criminals will still have them and you still have to worry about ninja attacks!

Over 13 people shot in Chicago this weekend, 15 last weekend. You cannot carry a gun in Chicago. You cannot have a concealed weapons permit in Illinois. So how is gun control working out for the people in Chicago? As always, guns are not the issue. People are. New york and Chicago have some of the toughest gun laws. Look at the murder rate in those states. Texas has probably the easiest gun laws and they have much less of these kind of shootings.A disarmed society is a society in bondage to a corrupt government; some nations are living proof.Swiss citizens all own guns, and are trained in their use. Result? No wars, and a low crime rate. I rest my case.

Amen to that Matt. My wife just came and told me she saw on the internet that their is a small town near Dallas that is strongly considering arming and training teachers to carry to stop this madness.
Israel, Philipines, and Peru have had good results with this.
I just went to my local shop becuase I have been wanting a stock for my shotgun. No luck. Can barely get in the door. I was curious and thoght I would take a peek at the bulk 5.56/.233 ammo they had the other day. They are cleaned out. People standing there with gobs and gobs of AR magazines.
It’s crazy.

But carrying personal use quantities of even the most addicting drugs or narcotics in Mexico is legal. Of course the cartels have plenty of weapons.

Id like to point out that in 1927 back in the good ole’ days when God was in every heart, a maniac BLEW UP a school in Michigan killing 38 kids…so banning any type of gun might result in a much higher body count once maniacs turn to high explosives.

This is my 4th time on this blog..newby….When Joseph and Mary were redirected (warned in a dream) to go another direction…I am sure they were not concerned about giving gifts back to the wise men….that was the only way they were able to make the trip…remember they were poor until that time…The sacrifices they gave were during their life up until that time were sacrifices poor people gave. You are good with most of us so I wouldn’t put anymore thought into it…..you are good….lets see where the Lord takes you next!

I haven’t seen anything about the chemical changes that occur when kids watch that poison. Adrenaline can be the most addictive substance our bodies produce. It triggers the “fight or flight” response to violence, scary movies, any threatening stimulus. There is no doubt that the global elite are using these tragedies to disarm US citizens to make it easier to conquer us for the final globalization of the new world order. Good Luck I don’t how that will ever work. Civil war will hit this country before you take guns away from gun enthusiast. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a vote on a global UN gun treaty ban though.
I’ve seen the popular bumper sticker too many times here in Colorado that say the following. “You can have my gun when you pry it from my dead hands.” The only way guns will be taken away is when there is a door to door seizure of them.

Plain and simple we have taken God out of America and the fallen one is using it to his advantage. Can you imagine a shooter coming from “Gene Hackman’s” bible based high school in Hickory Indiana from the movie Hoosiers? NO Why because God was in every aspect of that school.

If people don’t look to God we become so self-centered, blaming the world for any perceived slights against us. The Lord’s Prayer says it all concerning forgiveness and thanking the Creator. Taking prayer out of school was a huge event for the progressives, “their” ideas are what kids get in public education, while hollywood and madison ave tells kids how to act. dress, etc. Both parents have to work and spend less time with them in the important early years. Now kids want immortality like the romantic vampire or zombie movies they watch. Remember when a cross was used to stop a vampire in the movies? And the delusional kids who get thrown off american idol in the early rounds all to the enjoyment of the judges. Sorry just venting…

I made life a long slow suicide yet here i am. I grow old and withered while GOD takes the young and innocent away from those that love them. It hurts but we must remember this is all in His great plan. Some people need harsh lessons and i believe his release of the fallen sons of hell is a final teaching/punishment upon the hard hearted. They worshipped these things and prayed for their release and their rewards. Well GOD will reward them alright. He will give them exactly what they wanted until they vomit from it. Perhaps some will even realize what theyve done a few moments before their false gods devour them alive.

I go into our county prison every Thursday to lead a bible study. I see these sorts of faces with the maniacal eyes almost every week. It’s truly sad and my heart goes out to these guys. Some are demonically possessed, I’m sure, and some are biologically messed up in the brain.
Big pharma has made attempts to quell the mental riot these guys experience. But brain chemistry is unfathomably complex. We’re a long way from unraveling the mystery that is consciousness.

So true! Long/short: I realize there’s legit medical reasons and medical needs and such and that’s not what I’m talking about here when I say this:
These doctors really don’t know what these drugs like Prozac and such actually DO to the brain because we know very little about the brain.
In the 2 years, I’ve had two people in our sphere of acquaintance that were on those types of anti-depressant commit suicide. One is suspect enough but why would any doctor put them on 2-3 at a time?
I call them “shut up pills” because someone goes to a doctor because they’re depressed for any number of reasons (medical or probably spiritual) and the doctor shoves the pills at them to shut ‘em up and get them out of there.
I guess you’re quiet when you’re dead, right? I could go on a real rant about some of these drugs and how they’re handled.
I thought the Bourne Legacy was a recent good movie that made a point of chemical behavioral modification, too. Very sobering. I think it’s all here myself.

Good point above Richard, we are poised for another dictator just like Germany was not so long ago. And Eric, I couldn’t agree more. They have tried to get my son tested for add/adhd, just because he has energy! And loves to run and play sports more than sit in a classroom. So I agree, they are shut up pills.
I watched Bourne Legacy this weekend, and just prior I told my husband that these shootings may be mind controlled in order to serve the purpose of eliminating guns. He thought that was far out. Then we watched the movie! I didn’t say anything, but the part where the scientist kills his co-workers and the main character goes on to explain to the female dr that they, tptb wound him up so he would go off. What a sick world we live in. It needs a savior.

Found this timeline of mass shootings the other day, it is pretty instructive. Both the frequency and intensity of such shootings have unmistakably gone UP, starting with a big jump in the 80′s. For a while such acts were looked at as “disgruntled workers” who’d been fired, (like the ex-postal worker, hence the slang term “going postal”…), but now we have 20 year olds going into schools and shooting small children at point blank range??? Friends that is DEMONIC. Pure and simple. The guy shoots his mom in the face, and then walks over to an elementary school and starts executing children like the terminator?
Yeah… If I had any doubts left about the reality of SRA/DID in our society, then events like this one are wiping them away….

I struggled with depression for a long time, was put on paxil to get up and something else to get down.
Eventually, nothing worked for long. Then I discovered I have a thyroid problem. Does anyone else know that the symptoms of hypothyroidism and depression are the same??? Got on thyroid meds and off of anti-depressants, and finally leveled out. Now when I start to crash and burn, I go get my thyroid levels checked, and usually get my meds tweaked.
There are no medical tests for depression, but my original doctor and several counselors never suggested that it might be a thyroid issue. We’ve gone from never talking about mental illness to now blaming most things on it.

I suffered from wintertime depression for decades. Moved as far south as I could get in the states just by instinct. I’ve been taking Vitamin D supplements for a couple of years now — works great!
So sunlight, phototherapy, or vitamin D… the easiest to try is the supplement.

Glad to hear that, Nome. I was also severely lacking in D. I live in Texas in the country and have always spent most of my time outside, so never thought about being deficient in D. Turns out people with dark complexions – I have an olive complexion – don’t absorb D from sunlight like those with light complexions. Other mental symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency are memory problems, trouble concentrating, schizophrenia. Nobody tested me for my D levels before putting me on paxil either.

one of the things everyone is misssing in this and all the recent mass murders is the
state of the mental health system in this country and most probably the world. the mental healthcare system in this country needs some MAJOR reform. it is not the guns, or evil people, or a conspiracy. as i am the mother of a mentally ill son in his mid 30′s today. it IS a mental disorder, illness, defect…what ever you want to call it! just as a newborn, born with a cleft pallat, or a heart or lung defect, or less toes or fingers, or more fingers or toes or what ever the defect may be…cause unknown

Three days before 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother, then opened fire on a classroom full of Connecticut kindergartners, my 13-year-old son Michael (name changed) missed his bus because he was wearing the wrong color pants.
“I can wear these pants,” he said, his tone increasingly belligerent, the black-hole pupils of his eyes swallowing the blue irises.
“They are navy blue,” I told him. “Your school’s dress code says black or khaki pants only.”

“You can’t wear whatever pants you want to,” I said, my tone affable, reasonable. “And you definitely cannot call me a stupid bitch. You’re grounded from electronics for the rest of the day. Now get in the car, and I will take you to school.”
I live with a son who is mentally ill. I love my son. But he terrifies me.
A few weeks ago, Michael pulled a knife and threatened to kill me and then himself after I asked him to return his overdue library books. His 7- and 9-year-old siblings knew the safety plan—they ran to the car and locked the doors before I even asked them to. I managed to get the knife from Michael, then methodically collected all the sharp objects in the house into a single Tupperware container that now travels with me. Through it all, he continued to scream insults at me and threaten to kill or hurt me.
That conflict ended with three burly police officers and a paramedic wrestling my son onto a gurney for an expensive ambulance ride to the local emergency room. The mental hospital didn’t have any beds that day, and Michael calmed down nicely in the ER, so they sent us home with a prescription for Zyprexa and a follow-up visit with a local pediatric psychiatrist.
We still don’t know what’s wrong with Michael. Autism spectrum, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant or Intermittent Explosive Disorder have all been tossed around at various meetings with probation officers and social workers and counselors and teachers and school administrators. He’s been on a slew of antipsychotic and mood-altering pharmaceuticals, a Russian novel of behavioral plans. Nothing seems to work.
At the start of seventh grade, Michael was accepted to an accelerated program for highly gifted math and science students. His IQ is off the charts. When he’s in a good mood, he will gladly bend your ear on subjects ranging from Greek mythology to the differences between Einsteinian and Newtonian physics to Doctor Who. He’s in a good mood most of the time. But when he’s not, watch out. And it’s impossible to predict what will set him off.
Several weeks into his new junior high school, Michael began exhibiting increasingly odd and threatening behaviors at school. We decided to transfer him to the district’s most restrictive behavioral program, a contained school environment where children who can’t function in normal classrooms can access their right to free public babysitting from 7:30 to 1:50 Monday through Friday until they turn 18.
The morning of the pants incident, Michael continued to argue with me on the drive. He would occasionally apologize and seem remorseful. Right before we turned into his school parking lot, he said, “Look, Mom, I’m really sorry. Can I have video games back today?”
“No way,” I told him. “You cannot act the way you acted this morning and think you can get your electronic privileges back that quickly.”
His face turned cold, and his eyes were full of calculated rage. “Then I’m going to kill myself,” he said. “I’m going to jump out of this car right now and kill myself.”
That was it. After the knife incident, I told him that if he ever said those words again, I would take him straight to the mental hospital, no ifs, ands, or buts. I did not respond, except to pull the car into the opposite lane, turning left instead of right.
“Where are you taking me?” he said, suddenly worried. “Where are we going?”
“You know where we are going,” I replied.
“No! You can’t do that to me! You’re sending me to hell! You’re sending me straight to hell!”
I pulled up in front of the hospital, frantically waving for one of the clinicians who happened to be standing outside. “Call the police,” I said. “Hurry.”
Michael was in a full-blown fit by then, screaming and hitting. I hugged him close so he couldn’t escape from the car. He bit me several times and repeatedly jabbed his elbows into my rib cage. I’m still stronger than he is, but I won’t be for much longer.
The police came quickly and carried my son screaming and kicking into the bowels of the hospital. I started to shake, and tears filled my eyes as I filled out the paperwork—”Were there any difficulties with… at what age did your child… were there any problems with.. has your child ever experienced.. does your child have…”
At least we have health insurance now. I recently accepted a position with a local college, giving up my freelance career because when you have a kid like this, you need benefits. You’ll do anything for benefits. No individual insurance plan will cover this kind of thing.
For days, my son insisted that I was lying—that I made the whole thing up so that I could get rid of him. The first day, when I called to check up on him, he said, “I hate you. And I’m going to get my revenge as soon as I get out of here.”
By day three, he was my calm, sweet boy again, all apologies and promises to get better. I’ve heard those promises for years. I don’t believe them anymore.
On the intake form, under the question, “What are your expectations for treatment?” I wrote, “I need help.”
And I do. This problem is too big for me to handle on my own. Sometimes there are no good options. So you just pray for grace and trust that in hindsight, it will all make sense.
I am sharing this story because I am Adam Lanza’s mother. I am Dylan Klebold’s and Eric Harris’s mother. I am Jason Holmes’s mother. I am Jared Loughner’s mother. I am Seung-Hui Cho’s mother. And these boys—and their mothers—need help. In the wake of another horrific national tragedy, it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about mental illness.
According to Mother Jones, since 1982, 61 mass murders involving firearms have occurred throughout the country. Of these, 43 of the killers were white males, and only one was a woman. Mother Jones focused on whether the killers obtained their guns legally (most did). But this highly visible sign of mental illness should lead us to consider how many people in the U.S. live in fear, like I do.
When I asked my son’s social worker about my options, he said that the only thing I could do was to get Michael charged with a crime. “If he’s back in the system, they’ll create a paper trail,” he said. “That’s the only way you’re ever going to get anything done. No one will pay attention to you unless you’ve got charges.”
I don’t believe my son belongs in jail. The chaotic environment exacerbates Michael’s sensitivity to sensory stimuli and doesn’t deal with the underlying pathology. But it seems like the United States is using prison as the solution of choice for mentally ill people. According to Human Rights Watch, the number of mentally ill inmates in U.S. prisons quadrupled from 2000 to 2006, and it continues to rise—in fact, the rate of inmate mental illness is five times greater (56 percent) than in the non-incarcerated population.
With state-run treatment centers and hospitals shuttered, prison is now the last resort for the mentally ill—Rikers Island, the LA County Jail and Cook County Jail in Illinois housed the nation’s largest treatment centers in 2011.
No one wants to send a 13-year-old genius who loves Harry Potter and his snuggle animal collection to jail. But our society, with its stigma on mental illness and its broken healthcare system, does not provide us with other options. Then another tortured soul shoots up a fast food restaurant. A mall. A kindergarten classroom. And we wring our hands and say, “Something must be done.”
I agree that something must be done. It’s time for a meaningful, nation-wide conversation about mental health. That’s the only way our nation can ever truly heal.
God help me. God help Michael. God help us all.

I read it all….I understand…..In love and honesty i must be frank….this kind of mental illness is from the pit….no one did anything wrong in your family…..hospitals, prison and pharma is not the answer….your son needs to go through deliverance and I believe I can say this to you since you are reaching out on this site…..Our society does not speak of such things and few believers will speak openly about this matter….however Christ came to destroy the works of the enemy and He gave gifts of healing and deliverance to His children to use in such cases…I have moved in deliverance never asking for the gift…He freely gave…This is a deliverance issue….I would ask that you pray about deliverance for your son..Ask God to give you a divine encounter with someone who has this gift….God will bring someone into your life who knows the process…(which is not the way of Catholicism) I will pray for you also.. God answers prayers

Well said, Darla. Our western society is too sophisticated to believe in demon possession. Science is our state religion, so all problems have to be addressed scientifically. Drugs are one of the signs of the end times, too, according to Revelation 9:21 and 18:23. I used to think those verses referred to illegal drugs, but now I know it includes mind-bending, mind-numbing, mind-altering prescription drugs as well.

I just heard Dr. Phil on TV explain that it’s NOT a mental illness which causes these individuals to commit these acts…. He said that it’s something that we as a society have not figured out yet, Maybe someone needs to send him a copy of Russ Dizdars book; “The Black Awakening” ?????

thankyou darla, i appreciate all the prayers i can get for me and most especially for my son. believe me when i say, i pray everyday, for my son to be healed. i am not too ‘ sophisticated’ to know that demon possession exists
in the world today. what i believe most people do not understand is the dif-
ference between an illness of the brain and possession. my brother passed
away recently from a brain tumor…was he possessed??? no! my cousin passed from bone cancer…not possession. my husband is terminally ill from
an inherited defective gene called Huntingtons Chorea. look it up. it is not
demon possession, although much of his behavior over the 42 years of our
marriage mimicked bi polar disorder.
the medications my son is on currently are NOT to cure him. they are to
control his abnormal behavior which is caused by something in his brain
where the normal function of the natural chemicals in his brain misfire, or
work against each other. you and i have the same ‘normal’ natural chemicals
in our brain that function to our benefit. NOT, however, in my sons brain.
as i suggested, do some research before making such a judgement that all
mentally ill persons are demon possessed.

Where did I say that all mental illnesses are demonic? The research I HAVE read, Eric, try to negate the reality of demon possession. Some try to make the point that Jesus was really just healing mental illness. I have family members who suffer from various forms of “mental illness,” and what I do know is their conditions have never been considered from a spiritual perspective.

Just a side note and not at all trying to judge anyone…..possession can alter physical things in people….possession can chemically alter a person….there is HEALING for the physical changes after one has been delivered….healing and deliverance are two different things. and Please forgive me if you thought I was judging in some harsh way..

I have a lot of first-hand experience with family and loved ones, including my mother’s MPD / DID, and I KNOW that deliverance is key in a lot of situations. It was the missing link to so many challenges I had encountered in my 17 years of ministry before I learned of it.
Not ALL mental illness is demonic, but a LOT of it is. There’s a huge difference between possession (of non-believers) and OPPRESSION (of believers).
I promise to keep praying for you, Connie. I hope you’ll keep us posted. I have a lot more to say, but I just got out of the hospital and I’m extremely fragile physically right now, so I’m really pacing myself. I can sure pray though!

LookingUp: I wasn’t making any pointed comments directed at you or anyone specifically. I’ve just seen these conversations happen before and they can go south pretty fast so I’m probably just over sensitive.
I wish I had the space to share personal testimony and give it more justice but the super short version is: My mother’s mother was saved but had some legit mental illness some of which was due to outright physical brain damage from abuse as a child. These issues never went away. There was no demonic issue whatsoever.
My sister and I both had numerous mental issues before were were saved.
What’s interesting about that is we may very well have gotten a deliverance because the home situation was still the same oppressive mess it had been up to that time and stayed that way for a bit longer afterwards but literally the day after we were saved we walked into the shrink and she came out 10 minutes later with her arms around both of us and said to my mom: “I don’t know what happened but I don’t need to see these kids any more.”
There’s a whale of a story there, folks.

@ Darla, you’ve expressed things so well. I’m off my game today, but what you’re saying is very important! We are pretty brainwashed by “science” and “logic” from the cradle to the grave in this country.
I felt very misunderstood when I was given some possible spiritual explanations of why I had myasthenia gravis (diagnosis 2 – 3 months to live in ’94), later lupus (diagnosis 2 – 3 months to live in ’97), cardiovascular disease and more …
I was wishing that the second-guessers would talk to my doctors so they could understand what was really going on. 180 degrees is not enough degrees to explain how much my understanding changed.
@ Connie, I am with you 100%. I also understand b/c my late husband also had an incredible host of challenges. Prayer and deliverance does not always prevail in this fallen world. But I’m posting here to encourage YOU and I agree as already written, for someone to come along side you right where you are.

The physical abuse your grandmother experienced seems demonic, that demons caused someone’s behavior toward her. And a lot of things also manifest from generational curses (also demonic). I hope that just helps to add another perspective.

There was so much on the tv today about Mental Illness…this is the next BIG subject besides gun control….There has been so many hospitals and psychiatrists and so on for SOOOOOO many years yet they have never been able to cure mental illness only medicate it…One must ask the question…Why not? After all these years? Most of it is of a spiritual nature… but people will not be bold and speak such things… I have to! I have seen and experienced walking in the gift and it is REAL
..It would be interesting to see a hospital set up with people who operate in deiverance and healing and see just what would happen….see how many people walk out of the place “WHOLE” and not medicated….
There is a book out called “Demons and Deliverance” and it was written by the guy who wrote “Pigs in the Parlor”…This guy was an ordinary man just like you and I who was given the gift of deliverance….he was like me….we both just kinda stumbled into it (deliverance ministery) so to speak even though it was a gift. It was like learning a new job….one is a bit weirded out at first but then you just get use to how things works and always being lead by the Spirit in such a thing…EVERY deliverance is different..that why you cannot just grab a handbook and go by a handbook because the Spirit of God directs you. It has been amazing……anyhow the book I mentioned is well worth purchasing…….thanks for sharing

I think when people bring up demons they get viewed as being insensitive to the individuals problems. However, demons are exactely what we should be talking about.
Every single person on this planet runs up against demonic “influence” from time to time. It is why Christians put on the armor of God, to shield themselves from its negative influences. Possession is different in that you have given up your freewill and submitted to the demon.
So what we need to do is to view those with mental and social difficulties to be the most vulnerable among us. They have demonic influence like anyone else, but the result is exponential. So if someone is battling depression, what kind of affect do you think a demon might have when they whisper, “no one loves you.” Or if a child battles anger issues, how about a demonic influence about how nothing is fair in your life.
People with mental handicaps have the capacity to love Jesus. It is an essential safeguard for all of us. Otherwise we are figuratively throwing them to the wolves, we just cant percieve it.

In the movie, The Dark Knight Rises, there is a building with large red lettering AURORA-the same name of the city where the shootings in Colorado took place. So that’s 2 references to two shootings within a year having to do with that movie.

Eric, I’m so glad to hear you say that. I sat and watched that ceremony in horror with my mother!! Even the “Christian” ministers were pushing a bloodless Gospel and they never mentioned the name of Jesus. Only two men did that I heard. I thought, we are watching a preview of life after the rapture and what it will look like. I pray for all of my “family” in Christ. Until He comes for us things will “wax worse and worse”.

Yes. it makes more sense that Adam was possessed than just a high order autistic.
I think the enemy wants to turn folks with such sensitivities and abilities into unabombers, mcveighs, and jihadis.
My read (meaning speculation) on Lanza is this:
- His father was a workaholic and absent. His mother became independent.
- His future was paved for college and some brilliant research position.
- But he never quite measured up to his brother in his parents’ eyes.
- He was given meds like dextromethamphetamine and/or ritalin from early on.
- His gaming/fantasy world was his “real” world where results came quickly.
- As the outside world became harder to deal with he was likely evaluated,
- Possibly by the Sandy Hook psychologist — who likely handled the district.
- That evaluation and his mother’s intent to institutionalize him might have jeopardized both his “promised bright future” and his gaming world and friends.
- So if they were going to wreck his life — he decided to wreck theirs first
- Listening of course to all the machinations of the devils along the way.
In short, I think he was a typical rich spoiled drugged entitled kid with access and that there are millions quite like him — who are being molded by the doctrines of the damned rather than tempered by Christ through God’s Word, prayer, and care.
He’s what results as the tares mature and their methods are honed.
And what they need to look for is a psychologist, psychiatrist, and/or priest.
Possibly with ties to the asylum in the area that was closed down.

John McTernan Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. (2) By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. (3) Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
Commentary
In the above verses, the prophet tells us what happens when a nation turns from God: truth, mercy and the knowledge of God disappear from the land. This opens the floodgates for the destruction of that society with killing, stealing, adultery, rebellion and “blood toucheth blood.” This phrase means that one form of bloodshed leads to more bloodshed. For example, killing of babies in the womb leads to the killing of babies outside the womb. Thus, the more killing, the more it spreads throughout that society. This follows with the entire society mourning and growing weak. This brings a real, and not imaginary, curse on the land and the people of this society. This is exactly the state of modern America.
With a heavy heart I write this. We just went through Hurricane Sandy and now this horrific attack of killing the children in Connecticut. It is now destruction upon destruction. What caught my attention was the names of the events: Hurricane Sandy and the school was Sandy Hook Elementary School. They both were Sandy, which immediately linked them together in my mind. They both have a huge destructive impact on the nation. I already posted on this blog how Hurricane Sandy was directly linked to homosexual “marriage” in New York state.
This article is not to blame anyone for the killing of the children, but to warn more is on the way because America is now under the curse of Hosea 4:1 and many other scriptures. The God of Israel is removing His hand of protection from evil on the nation and turning us over to our sin. America has now legally killed over 50 million babies in the womb and is in the process of promoting the entire homosexual agenda, including “marrying” homosexuals. This agenda has progressed so far that homosexuals were “married” at West Point.
The more this agenda advances the more God withdraws from our nation and the more satan controls. The more God withdraws the more all forms of evil takes over. It is just like a mathematical equation: sin in and God out. Americans do not want God in their society as evidenced by voting for laws that God warns He will judge a nation over. Huge numbers of Americans want open drug laws, the unfettered killing of babies in the womb (50 million is not enough) and the entire homosexual agenda. The last election proved this. It appears that the entire Democratic Party has endorsed this agenda (I am not a Republican, but apolitical).
Millions of Americans twice elected Obama, who is both 100 percent pro-abortion and a supporter of the homosexual agenda. In doing so, it proves there is virtually no knowledge and fear of God in the land. It brings the nation under the curse. The more Obama and Americans support and promote these sins, the greater the curse comes on the nation. It creates a vicious death spiral downward towards the destruction of this society, which America now fits. The only thing that can stop it is national repentance and turning to the Holy God of Israel. This is the only remedy for the curse that America is now under.
When a nation falls under this curse, sadly, one of the first targets of evil are the children. As the blessings of the Bible are removed and there is no spiritual leadership, evil has a free shot at the children. This is why evil is now in the schools teaching the children about homosexuality, Islam and in many schools, Planned Parenthood is allowed. This organization kills over 300,000 babies a year! This is an attack on the moral fiber of the children, and God allows this because He is no longer wanted as evil has taken over. Yes, these agendas and groups are evil. Americans are virtually powerless to stop it because the system now is controlled by evil.

Concerning what you wrote on repentence Joel 2 is where we need to be….God is getting ready for the revealing of the ‘sons of God’ the great and strong ones…ones that have never been seen nor will ever be seen again…All creation groans for the “sons of God” to be revealed. Joel 2 explain how strong and great these people are….it will be the revealing of the Prophetic Sons on a large scale ….these are the ones who will fight the evil ones….

Most of Hollywoods movies are ALL about violence… X-Box, Play station, etc… most of these video games are all about violent war/shooting etc… We have been raising a couple of generations who think that slaughter/killing are all a game… is it any wonder that in our culture of violence we now have a group of individuals that believe that it’s not really wrong to commit acts of violent slaughter/killing? We are teaching them that it’s not wrong to shoot and destry… Parents ned to take a close look at which video games, and/or movies that they allow their children to participate in…. This is not “Pac-Man” or “Barbie Princess” games we are talking about… We are programing our children to accept violence/killing as a make believe game!
Also much of “Rap” music is about violence, drugs, and disrespecting Women. Our culture and society has become used to hearing, seeing, and participating in extremely violent forms of “entertainment.”

To be fair, though: I play videogames and I haven’t killed anyone yet nor have I felt any urge to do so.
I try to be responsible about what games I play just like anything else.
I do most certainly agree about violence AND sex (this keeps getting glossed over) and now rank occultism in media and entertainment certainly.
It de-sensitizes, conditions, in some cases probably brainwashes, etc. No question about it. In recent years the gloves have come off the the pretense and subtletly have all pretty much been thrown out the window.

I don’t play video games and haven’t since arcades were popular, think, Qbert, Fogger, Tempest, Defender, Pac man, Pinball, etc… these games had no violence and you couldn’t play too many as it was a quarter to play….now that said, since I don’t have time to play video games anymore,(and cant seem to find an arcade
from what I understand, aren’t the games today rated like the movie ratings? I wonder how many Christian children or for adults for that matter buy and play the violent rated games? How many Christian moms and dads will bypass and ignore the game rating and buy them anyway? To me it’s no different than a Christian going to see an R rated film. You can’t really justify one and not the other; they are both equally in the eyes of God and not very pleasing I would imagine. . If any Christian is currently playing these kinds of video games they need to shake themselves loose and ask for forgiveness. Demons can enter a home though such material.

Good points although right now I’m trying to wrap my brain around some mother buying and training her autistic son with high end weapons like an XM-15.
I’d rather have the kid playing any number of videogames instead, if you know what I mean.

Eric W. I sure do understand…adults with firearms need to be responsible and buy a safe to store them and child proof locks. That said, when you play violent games or watch violent films it desensitizes you, and in the process it devalues life…
I watched the Daniel Pearle murder and I wish I could take it back, it was horrific horrible thing and I’m ashamed I even looked in on it as briefly as I did. … A few guys at my work were watching it and I had no idea what they were looking at. It took me a second to figure it out what was happening and once I did it happened very fast…I almost became sick to my stomach…I’m not angel believe me but I feel I lost a part of what little innocence I had left right there and then. You see something like that and it is ingrained in your mind forever. Just like those movies from a while back 5 faces of death. They were very popular, and thankfully I never saw them but had multiple opportunities to do so if I wanted, but the stories were enough for me I took a pass.
Some moves, some video games, some music devalue life and desensitizes us. If a convenience store gets robbed today, they see no reason not to kill the employee for the “thrill” of it. A convenience store not 5 minute walk from me was robbed twice within a month both times they killed the clerk…it was some poor guy making minimum wage trying to support his family, both time they didn’t try to fight back, they gave them what they wanted, and still they were shot to death. Now this store has up bullet proof glass, when I walk in there in the evening the clerks are so jumpy, and who can blame them,…I told one of them I don’t envy you working here,,,he look me square in the eye and said “pray for me”
When two teenagers arrested here a few weeks ago, they killed a 16 yr. old girl getting off of work at The Gap, the reason they killed her? They said they wanted to see what it was like to kill someone. When you watch violent movies and play those video games, it may seem it does nothing to you but deep down Satan’s message it getting through to your spirit and mind.
It’s like any Pandora’s box you open, and once the initial thrill is gone, you need to get that adrenalin rush and feed it another way so they will go deeper into the perversion just to satisfy that demon spirit that drives them.

It was not God’s intention that man have the knowledge of good and evil; He only wanted us to know good. The innocence of our children is under assault and the warfare grows more vile every day. As a parent, I tried to protect the innocence of my child for as long as I could, but most parents today seem to be clueless about their responsibility and necessity to do that. Parents who want to protect their children are told they are out of touch with reality and need to expose their children to the real world. That is a lie straight from the pit of hell. The destruction of innocence also manifests itself in comprehenisve sex ed classes that start in kindergarten including teaching about homosexuality and transgendering.

Same with parents that buy their kids violent video game for Christmas., they try and justify it, after all that’s what little Johnny wants and shoot, Santa’s got to get him what he wants right? I recently watched my 10 yr. old nephew play a game, I don’t know the name of it but from what it looks like you go around killing people and stealing their cars …in the mean time you deal with prostitutes and low life thugs…I asked him, your mom got you this and he says yeah,,its what I wanted. Now, these are church going folks…I’m sure ole mom had no idea what she just bought her kid. Like when I was a teen, ole mom had no idea what music I was listening to. I only showed her the bubble gums bands…she didn’t see the ones hidden away…I say as long as kids are living under your roof, by all means search their bedrooms, read their diary, look at their Facebook, text messages ,, emails and computers,,,be a snoop, sure they might not like it, but your kids are not your buddies or friends to hang out and kick it with, they have plenty of friends and influences outside the home they don’t need you as a friend,,,and that’s the problem, too many parents want to be that cool mom or dad, giving them and their buddies alcohol or worse just to be liked by their kids. If you are not popular with your child due to discipline and choices you have made, trust me, they will get over it.

Re: the financial contributions for your trip to Mexico…I did pray over the situation and asked the Lord, what I needed to do, if anything. Here’s what He reminded me about. I had prayed for a multiplied return from seeding into this ministry on it’s need. If I recall the contribution, I won’t receive the multiplied return. Needless to say I want the multiplied return from the Lord. What a mighty Lord we serve.

We went to see the Hobbit this weekend (excellent movie – worth every penny) and, of course, saw about a dozen previews before the movie started.
One of them caused my jaw to hit the floor – “The Atlantic Rift” directed by Guillermo del Toro (the same guy who collaborated with Jackson on the Hobbit).
In this movie, huge monsters crawl out from under the Atlantic Ocean and attack the earth. However, they don’t come from the earth, they come from a dimensional portal in the Atlantic Rift.
My husband and I just looked at each other and gasped. Hollywood is preparing the populace for the opening of the Abyss.
In the movie, the people of earth respond by creating large machines in which a person moves and the machine imitates the movement but on a huge scale – like Sigourney Weaver’s character in Predator or like the first sargeant in Avatar.

But I for one want to let you know, whether you’d done that or not; I stand with you and am thankful that you are faithful to listen to the Lord. Because of that faithfulness we can trust what you share with us, and in these times when so few of those claiming to be Pastors preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ (an example would be those “Christian clergy” at the service for those precious children), we need men and women who will. You are one of those. I want to know not just what the enemy is doing, I want to know what the Lord wants us to do, how to walk with Him, and I want to fellowship with those who seek Him as well. That is why I follow this blog, it is why I come and read the posts of my brothers and sisters, and it’s why I listen and heed the warnings and admonitions you give. A big explosion rocked the southern Lebanese town of Tair Harfa on Monday, five kilometers (three miles) from the border with Israel causing no casualties, residents said.
A Lebanese security source said the blast was caused by a rocket that had been fired into Lebanon during the 2006 war with Israel that did not detonate on impact.
But Andrea Tenenti, a spokesman for the U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon, said United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon soldiers in the area were still trying to ascertain the cause. Earlier reports suggested the explosion came from a Hezbollah weapons storage facility.
The explosion did kill several farm animals in a field, according to local residents.
A Reuters reporter said that members of the terrorist group Hezbollah, the Lebanese Army and around 50 members of UNIFIL were at the site of the blast but that he was prevented from approaching the area.
UNIFIL has about 12,000 troops and naval personnel in the country after its expansion under U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701 that halted the 2006 Second Lebanon War in southern Lebanon. The south remains a Hezbollah stronghold.
Despite domestic demands for the group to disarm, Hezbollah keeps stockpiles of weapons — including thousands of rockets — saying it will need them in the event of a new war with Israel.
On Oct. 3, three Hezbollah members were killed when an explosion ripped through a weapons warehouse in the east Lebanon town of Nabi Sheet.

I’m sure others will disagree with me, but I don’t believe this is how prayer works. As believers, we have the Holy Spirit indwelling us, so we can be in constant communication with the Lord. I don’t understand prayer as words or thoughts we have to the Father that drift up through the heavens before they arrive at the throne. Plus, God is omniscient, so He knows our prayers before we pray them.

I actually had a major God-thing happen that involved Peretti. Back in the early ’90′s, I was deeply involved with public education from a Christian perspective, did a newsletter (pre-blog time), speaking engagements, etc. An activist group north of Dallas was having Peretti come there to do a fundraiser for them, and I said I wanted him to come to Houson, too. OK. They booked him, asked me where he could speak, and I don’t know why and without thinking about it, said Second Baptist Church. I knew that was the place. It has a membership of over 50,000, so it was a major deal. I wasn’t living in Houston and only knew one couple who went to SBC. I kept praying about it, praying about it, praying about it, but kept putting off calling SBC to actually talk to someone. One morning a few weeks before Peretti was to speak, I finally called my friend to see if she could help me. Nope. So, we were chatting along catching up on our lives, the other line clicked in, and I answered it. The guy asked for me, I told him that was who I was, and he said he was the music director of SBC and had heard Frank Peretti was coming to their church.
Talk about a Big Gulp!
Turned out, Gary and Peretti were good friends. Gary had been trying to get him to speak at SBC for years, but their schedules had never worked out. The date I had him scheduled was the only one that would have worked for several more years. It was pretty phenomenal.

Perretti actually led me to this site. I first picked up his first two books a few yearsa ago and devoured this Christian Fiction. I developed and appetite for it and then found this unique trilogy called the Nephillim Trilogy by someone named L.A. Marzulli. The rest is history.

I don’t see anything in Scripture that gives us the ability to create anything by speaking it into existence. Where is it? If you’re referring to Romans 4:17, “(as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist,” it is GOD who calls things into existence, not us.

.I just listened to the link you gave….as I have shared in other places on this site….I do understand warfare….I have to to move in the gift of deliverance….This link was RIGHT ON…..what was being said about how things happen in the spiritual realm is right on! There has been times I have prayed where i felt like I hit a ceiling and other times I felt I was in direct current with Heaven….People need to remember that we have been given the grace of being able to repent….Repenting is what the prophets of old did before they went before the Lord…They would say first I repented for the sins of myself and my family then they would begin to repent for the nation….THEN they would begin to ask God for help…..
For our prayers to be effective we must first truly get before God concerning our own junk….God knows were are not perfect…but he gave us a rule book on how to come before Him now….in days of old we not one of us to go into the Holy of Holies before the Mercy seat…The high priest would have to do so….but Christ through His blood made a New and Better way…Now we can come bold to the thrown of grace to receive mercy and obtain justice. Listen…we do not have to spend days and days crying over our pathetic mistakes we make everyday….go right to the thrown and receive mercy and be honest with yourself and God…it is so simple..
.However most Christians do not even get that far therefore prayers do not break through…God set up a system just as the system of gravity is set up….If we would just practice the simplest of things then we can get past being fed on only milk……there is a TABLE that God wants to set before you…He wants to show you hidden things…He states that in the word but if you cannot even go before him just to get that nasty off of you from the sin(whatever that may be) then He cannot do His part in setting a table for us because He is HOLY and HE

A few days ago there was a nice thread on items everyone should have on hand in case disaster strikes. One thing was matches – lots and lots of matches – since being able to start a fire could be critical. I’m cleaning out my junk drawer, and came across a pack of replacement flints for my flint lighter which I had completely forgot about. Check out flint lighters online, the ones that are used in welding. Most hardware stores carry them, they’re cheap and don’t go soft like matches can do or leak like fuel lighters. You squeeze the two prongs together which strikes the flint and creates a spark. Pretty handy.

As several people above have already mentioned, I am increasingly becoming convinced that everything Russ Dizdar has been talking about is horrifyingly true… I was pretty skeptical for some time, but every time we see another instance of these “lone, psychologically disturbed gunman” on the news, it becomes harder and harder to make any sense out of these very increasingly common and efficient killings outside of the DID/SRA paradigm….
It would also make sense that these psychotic drugs could play a part in either the “restraining” of the trained individuals up to the time of their “triggering”, or perhaps they play a part in the opening up to demonic powers… Either way, there does seem to be an unmistakable connection…

Long-time lurker here, but I have to comment on the pharma factor. Based on my own research and personal experience, I wonder if many of us would be better off without these drugs and other types of medicines as well. I just weaned myself off Prozac and wellbutrin, for several reasons, which I can go into if anyone’s interested. My husband, a former biochemist, suffers from severe depression and has tried many drugs, none of which worked for him. He has long insisted that no one knows HOW these drugs work, and that makes them dangerous, especially in children, teens, and the elderly. I’m sure these drugs have prevented suicide in many cases, and I don’t mean to discount that. But looking at the list LA posted, something just ain’t right.

Jay, As someone who was privileged enough to give and privileged enough to receive a call from LA when the trip was cancelled, that money is not mine to take back. When I earned that money from working, it went right into my tithe and offering pile (or “envelope”). From that point on, it belonged to God. I felt led by Got to give to LA’s cause, whether it was the Mexico trip or to general ministry needs. Once God directed, it was God’s to spend. LA is only accountable to God for how it is spent. When you give to your church, the money goes into the offering and you never think about it again. If the church offered to give it back to you, you would likely (hopefully) refuse. LA is a minister doing God’s work. He is ministering me. He is ministering to all the people commenting on this blog.

Not sure if anyone here is aware of this or not but… It turns out that in the “Batman: Dark knight Rises” movie there is a scene in the movie where the words “Aurora” appear in big red letters on top of a building or something (the Aurora Batman shooting). In another scene where a map is being looked at, you see the fingers of a person (character) pointing at the words “Sandy Hook” (Sandy Hook school shooting). The watcher who said all the bad stuff that was done on medication insinuates that medication caused the behavior. These medicines don’t cause evil decisions. It is more likely that these people were troubled and the meds didn’t do anything to help them because the root causes were not dealt with. The mentioned Meds can’t make you do evil and they can’t prevent a person from doing evil.

Anyone notice today how MSNBC website has started to filter in UFO sightings now in their slideshow of all the school shooting news clips. I have the feeling they are purposely generating fear. Or did they put the stuff in about the UFO news as business as usuall?
The stores are crazy. Everyone fubling with armfulls of 223 magazines and so forth. I have what I have and I am not panicking on that band wagon. In the meantime, water is still cheap, along with cans of chili and stew for $1.25 and so forth. I have been buying some here and there and stocking up. If panic erupts, the last thing I want to do is go to the store.
Do you think all of this hype about gun control, which is a valid concern, is meant maybe to get peopls minds off of food, water, and needed supplies?

In light of the horrific shootings in Connecticut, and the discussion on here regarding mental illness, I’m curious as to just what should the Christian’s approach to mental illness be? Is it spiritually-rooted, purely biological, or perhaps both?
I ask because I suffer from OCD and other mental issues, and so far I’m absolutely befuddled on how to go about treating these problems. I tried the deliverance route and only got temporary relief. I tried seeing a Christian counselor recently, but she told me she couldn’t help me unless I agreed to take medication. I don’t feel comfortable taking medication (I agree with the poster who said that psychiatric drugs are basically “shut up” drugs), so I refused, and that was the end of that.
I think, given the rise in mental illnesses not only in society as a whole, but even amongst Christians, we really need to address this problem. Too many, such as myself, feel like castoffs and stigmatized, even within the church, and to simply be told to “take a pill” or “get deliverance” is not always the appropriate answer.

I work with people with disabilities. All disabilities. I think your question about mental health can involve a little bit of everything. I know from what I have seen that a lot of antidepressants can be very tricky with youth as well as the elderly.
I do know people with a variety of mental issuess that are more with the program than those who are not.
I think being aware of your own situation is so important and self-monitoring. I have seen bad things happen to people going cold turkey off of meds. I have seen traumatic brain injuries change personalities for the worse, and sometimes for the better. I met a young man who was in a bad car wreck and he no longer gets angry. He does have his barriers though.
While others may disagree, it sounds to me that you are seeking God and medical resources as proactively as you can.

I agree with Eric – either or both. I suggest you find a doctor who also practices alternative medicine who will do a complete blood work up to test for a full range of imbalances and deficiencies. It’s amazing how much even a vitamin deficiency can cause mental issues. Usually, if it’s a problem that is caused by something that can’t be fixed with big pharma drugs, regular doctors don’t know how to find it or deal with it. Based on my experience, even a holistic doctor may suggest you do a limited drug treatment until the underlying problem is healed. The difference is short-term support verses a non-ending drug habit.
And you might thing about talking to another counselor. Just because someone says they’re a Christian counselor doesn’t mean they are, and even if they are, it doesn’t mean that they are good.
I’ll be praying for you, too, Princesinha,and especially that the Lord will lead you to the people who will be able to help you.

I believe that most mental Illness is spiritually rooted…however when someone is under attack spiritually it can alter their chemical make up even physical makeup…..I was in a deliverance where a man actually was about 4 inches taller after he was delivered. He was so tall he couldn’t get through the hall archway without bending down…that was a physical change….however many people go through chemical changes in their brains ect ( This is where the Dr.’s come in and say they are missing something in the chemical makeup and give them a pill to “EVEN” them out”… When being delivered ..a truly gifted person in the deliverance arena will seek out the root…the STRONGMAN (stronghold)there will be one present who is stronger than the rest if there are more than one and there usually are…There is possession and there is oppression..both however have to be delivered..and then a true gifted one will move also in healing. Healing for the chemical and physical changes…I have walked in this and I do have a good understanding / experience in what I am sharing…..God bless.

We are spritual yes, but remember our brains are organs, just like hearts, lungs, livers, and so forth. My wife has epilepsy. And by the grace of God, and by Him guiding her to the right medical doctors, brain surgery and a slew of meds she has not had a seizure in 11 years. She also had parents who pushed her and kept her engaged pursuing idnependence to live a full life. Epilepsy was once considered demonic possession. She is not possessed. She can’t drink coffee or anything with caffiene. No booze. Strobe lights and police lights can trigger seizures as well. She is in the next room reading her daily devotional and just came and asked me if I feel like she honors me. I am a humble man. I would not trade her for everything. Extremely smart too. But there are physical condtions that must be addressed. She does not just take pills and take the her current doctors words for it. As a patieint in any circumstance, the individual has the right to ask questions and be part of the treatment proccess.
I have seen a lot of wild stuff in the disability field. I know man who was in the special forces and trains police and special forces in self defense tactics. He was paralyzed in the 70s in a motorcycle wreck and was told he would never walk again. Well, he walks, dances, kicks, and is very skilled in martial arts. He is a a very spiritual man also. He said, and I use his quote when I tell my story of a life threatening accident that left me with multiple injuries. He ducked his head and said he hates it, but every year he has to go to all these doctors, and they do all these tests, and scratch there heads and tell him they don’t know how or why he is walking acccording to the tests. He told us this:
There are two reasons why I am walking and dancing around in front of you today. Number one is the grace of God. Number two is becuase I want to.
With that said, I know people in chairs that will not walk becuase they flat out can’t. I can’t explain how God works, but he does answer and expects us to be obiedient.
I feel that this lady has a love for God and seeks him daily. I just don’t want her to think she has done something wrong becoase her infirmity is still there.
Do I belive in miricales? Yes I do. I believe he also works through doctors as well.
When I was hurt with a shattered right knee-cap, a snapped femur kneck at the right femur on the same leg, shattered both bones in my right wrist. a dislocated thumb on my left hand, a huge rip on my chin, ripped the inside of my lips from my gums, and a torn muscle in my jaw, something happened before I went into surgery. They debated I had a small fracture in the left foot also, but this was the only limb I had to manuever with so I do not push it. Anyway, my wife at the time was a nurse and said she had never hear or seen a doctor do this. The bone surgeon explained some of my injuries and asked if we both would share a prayer with hime before I went into surgery. The answer of course was yes. It was something to see this man who had 14 years of education in all the sciences to kneel down and hold our hands and pray before I went into emergency surgery. I will never forget that.
This is no rant toward anyone. God bless each and every one of you and for sharing your insights with this lady, as well as me.

I think meds are only a means to address symptoms, like popping a pill for the cold virus. In most cases they are not a cure. So taking meds can help temper problematic symptoms to allow an open road so that the greater work can happen.
If deliverance doesn’t cure something once and for all, perhaps a continual steady diet of daily deliverance by the holy spirit must happen. We are to walk closely with the Lord always and this can help with our struggles and sometimes is more productive then thinking we can get a one time cure only to have it return later. This in no way undermines deliverance work, but we should support it with healthy spiritual habits.
We can’t treat our prayer life like we treat our medicine where we pop a few pills and expect to be cured.

The Lord gave us spiritual armor for a reason. I’m not trying to minimize what you’re going through, Princesinha, but one of the main spiritual battlefields is our mind. Jesus said we are to take every thought captive. If He told us to do it, He will empower us to do it. It is a spiritual discipline. You can only obsess over something you’re thinking about, so find a verse, memorize it, and start reprogramming your thoughts. A great one is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” There are days I repeat that a hundred times or more followed by “help me, Jesus.” If you’re going to obsess over something, choose Jesus.

And I did say most not all…some are deficiencies ie. vitamins…A true gifted one in deliverance will seek the Lord and the Lord will tell them if it is a Vitamin issue or such……I watched another person who was gifted in this area and the Lord spoke to him about the person being deficient of a mineral….he had to tell the person getting prayer what the Lord told him…The Lord told the gifted one to tell the man that he need to eat guess what? .Wheaties of all things because there was a mineral in the cereal that this person was deficient of. The gifted one was almost too embarrassed to say such a thing but was directed by the Lord. The man went and bought Wheaties and started eating them and it actually cured what ailed him. I thought this was a good example of the ones that are not possessed or oppressed..

We now have our 4th named storm. His name is “Draco”!
I did a little research on Draco, and found some rather “strange” parallels!
Around 621bc, Draco was the administrator, GIVEN THE TASK OF RE-WRITING THE ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION of Athens.
The new laws were so harsh, even the pettiest of crimes were punishable by death. For awhile; the laws were not in written form, but when they were put to paper, they were written in blood.
This is where the term – “Draconian Law” got it’s name.
I think it’s interesting that “Draco” was given the task of changing the constitution. In other words, someone else was BEHIND THE SCENES’ calling the shots, and Draco was just doing the task he was given to do.
Does that strike a tone with anyone other than me? I think it’s playing out before our eyes. I don’t think these names were just randomly selected. Since the first named storm, I have been reading about them, as they form. So far they have ALL told a story that strikes close to home. Is TPTB telling us some of their plans….. in these names? - To HEAL the brokenhearted
- and DELIVER the captives.
- To set at LIBERTY those who are bruised,
- PROCLAIM the acceptable year of the Lord,
- And the DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD.
Is He any less willing today?
As Yeshua Messiah, the Lamb Slain:
- He sacrificed his own flesh … (as our Passover)
- He descended into the grave … (our Unleavened)
- He resurrected defeating death … (our First Fruit)
- He ascended and sent His Spirit … (our Pentecost)
- He returns – for His ready bride … (our Trumpets)
- He reigns – a thousand years … (our Atonement)
- He renews all with His Wife … (our Tabernacles)
It’s best to keep our focus on Christ!

L.A that explanation is for the one accuser, who probably did’t even give a nickel! The rest of us gave as able and led and only wish that you got At least 1/2 back for the ministries, but GOD owns it all and HE will work it all out.

Yes, yes, yes, to your list, L.A. of bad behavior caused by prescription drugs! Yes, yes, yes! And people on TV are saying the shooters might be OK if they had “taken their medication.” Afraid not. Sometimes taking such meds is better than not taking them (bad trade off),depending on the illness or its severity. But in general the medical profession has not found really good psychoactive drugs.
As a person who cannot take ANY of these drugs no matter whether I’m depressed or not, I can say this: you can learn to live without them. Prayer is sometimes the only help there is for people who need anti-depressant help and cannot take drugs without very severe side-effects. People need to know this. It takes some degree of guts to go cold turkey through a depressive period, but it can be done. It can be done if you HAVE to do it.
This is why counseling is needed, not drugs. But we just cut back on support for that. So expect more trouble.
