Peter Schiff: Dollar Collapse Before Obama’s Out

Peter Schiff: Dollar Collapse Before Obama’s Out – Seeking Alpha

Interview conducted by Olly Ludwig

Peter Schiff, president and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital, is more than a little bit concerned about President Obama’s re-election.

Ever the provocateur, Schiff believes that the president is a socialist who was essentially elected by people who want free things—the perfect bedfellows for a Federal Reserve he argues is bent on debasing the dollar.

What does it all point to? Looking at earlier predictions of his that gold could reach as high as $5,000 a troy ounce from a dollar perspective, Schiff says it’s time to pay the piper, and said the greenback will almost surely collapse during Obama’s second term, as a whole lot of bad economic policy comes to a head.

A few months back, the citizens of Iran awakened to find their currency devalued by roughly 50%.  Protests Erupt In Iran Over Devalued Currency : NPR

Of course that can’t happen here right?  We are the land of the free, the greatest country on the earth!  We have Manifest Destiny, we are the world’s leader, and God is on our side!

If you believe that I have some wonderful, mosquito-infested, swamp land, in Florida to sell you.

The last election showed us a majority of people want free stuff, aren’t concerned with the debt crises, believe in the nanny state and entitlements, and think government will fix all of our problems.

Meanwhile the Federal Reserve continues to print phony money, which is not backed up by anything.  Uncle Ben’s magic printing press must be running 24/7 to keep up with the billions of dollars in interest alone our country must fork out to keep the financial house-of-cards propped up!

Government – Interest Expense on the Debt Outstanding

US Debt Definition and How It Affects the Economy

At some point this “Ponzi scheme” is going to collapse and Joe Citizen is going to be left holding worthless paper.  We are poised for this to happen and I believe, as Chuck Missler states in Watchers, this is a: managed agenda.

In closing todays short post: I am very concerned with our national debt and the continues reckless spending in Washington by both parties.  It seems we are headed for a fiscal collapse and when that happens it may be the financial nail, in the coffin.

What to do?  I would convert some dollars to precious metals, and also buy canned food.

Ron Paul wanted to abolish the FED, and so did JFK.   Both men realized the country was/is being held hostage by a cartel of international bankers.  We have gone from a country that had no income tax, and a small government, to a monster that seeks to regulate every aspect of our lives.  When the dollar collapses, which will be an orchestrated event, the government will step in with the solution.  This is the classic Hegelian Dialectic, creating the problem then providing the solution!  It’s coming…. Prepare!

I cannot get this prophetic vision by David Wilkerson (written in his 1974 book “The Vision”) out of my head.
I quote from page 19 of the re-issued book…”The fluctuating and uncertain value of gold and silver will be a part of the total picture of economic confusion that grips the world. Believe it or not–even gold will not hold its value. Gold hoarders are going to get hurt–badly. This is one of the most significant predictions in this book.”

I know some christians who are aware of this prophetic vision are simply trying to “time it” right so they’ll get out before gold crashes. Me? I’m just not getting in. If things get that bad, I figure we’ll all be in the same boat. Those who prepared, stocked, bought reserves are sadly going to be in the gun sights of the desperate masses gathered outside their compound.
Then you’ll be faced with the painful decision…do I share? Or do I kill others who are in need and want what I’ve got?

    • So what is the answer? No gold no food stored — go about our daily business as nothing is happening? Isn’t that what got us in this mess? Complacency? Prayer is always paramount. Is there an answer?

    • LookingUp said

Right on, Lynne. Plus, you can’t eat gold. From what I’m seeing, the best investment to make now is in food. Prices will continue to climb, and even if they only rise the predicted 4 to 5%, that’s still a better yield than anything else, and it’s risk-free. The powers-that-be are lying about the rate of increase, too – lies, lies and more lies. Anybody who buys groceries knows we’re paying more than 4% for the same things we bought last year. I’m paying 25% more for hamburger and milk already, and the drought is only going to make things worse. It’s a row of falling dominos.

    • Eric W. said

Prayer is the most important and underrated answer Seashore. :)

I like food, water, guns ,and bullets a lot more than I like gold and other precious metals. Just my two cents.

    • richard said

      I agree Lynne

Ezekiel 7:19 They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD’s wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin.

Personally I just believe that this is all part of Gods plan for the end game. Just as Obama’s re-election is part of the end game plan.”I personally believe that within the next 2 to 4 years we will see the establishment of the new world order.” The end is near. Hopefully the rapture to “IF” you believe in the pretrib rapture of the church as I do. I know there are many views and opinions.

I mean no offense to Stan Deyo and the other prepper’s. The only thing that will save us now is Yeshua. My mother is on disability she makes less than a $1,000 a month but loves the lord with all of her heart. Is she no less precious to Yeshua than a person who has money who can prepare? No! As Lynne stated mobs with guns cant keep them from your food. A wreck less society is no society and has no morals. Look at riots in general. A hungry person will do whatever it takes to get your food!

Its my personal opinion that hoarding Gold, Silver or Food is saying to God I know you will get me through this but just in case you don’t I’m storing up?

Sure six months reserves makes sense if you can afford it. However if things go down the way scripture says they will who wants to live through that?

I personally want to go home even if that means through death and not the rapture : )

What do you always say LA. “BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD” That phrase means more than it ever has in history.

Personally I think now is the time to store up on scripture in your head, Now is the time to store up on daily fasting. Now is the time to repent. Now is the time to quit sinning as much as possible. Now is the time to prepare to meet Christ.

    • LookingUp said

Definitely a time of preparation on all levels, but what’s new about that? The difference between hoarding and preparing is motive. How do you know, Richard, that the Lord is not leading believers to prepare to share? I’m afraid I don’t get your point about your mom. Are those who have money and can prepare less precious to the Lord than those who don’t?

    • richard said

Looking Up You dont understand my point. There are 44 million people on food stamps who obviously cant prepare financially so are they too not worthy of Gods Grace. Will the Lord abandon them? NO

That is exactly my point we are ALL precious in his site. People who have money and can prepare and those who have no money and cant prepare. Now is the time to just focus on him.

What if you were a Coptic Christian in Syria or Egypt right now or a Christian in some other poverty stricken country. Good meets our needs where ever we are.

I think being prepared is good if you can but that doesnt necessarily mean that God wont meet your needs if you cant.

Hoarding more than an minor emergency supply is worthless in my opinion. I also feel that hoarding allows Satan to create more fear in you than is necessary.

I haven’t heard of any starvation deaths coming out of hurricane Sandy.

    • Eric W. said

Huh…come to think of it…haven’t heard much about how the Sandy victims are doing in general. Of course then again, the Fourth Branch isn’t going to report anything that reflects negatively on their boy and their system.

    • LookingUp said

That wasn’t what I said, Richard. If you can’t, you can’t, but if you can, you should. I believe that’s wisdom. Lots of folks can but won’t. And I don’t think you’ll find anyone on this blog who thinks we need to stock up because God is undependable. He promises to meet all our needs, but He usually uses other people to do it. I would like to be one of those people who has stored enough food to help other people out and be able to point them to the Bread of Life.

    • Even if gold does hold some value, the government might make the trade of gold illegal in the future, confiscate it or have a buy back program from the citizens with deep devaluation. They confiscated gold during the great depression, they will do it again.

    • Jeremiah Chapter 32 is instructive. Israel and their king back then was trying to avoid captivity in Babylon. They didn’t want to hear what Jeremiah was telling them as the chosen prophet of God. God’s remedy for Israel’s oversights was already in place in the form of conquest by Nebuchadnezzer and a return to slavery like previously in Egypt. They had gone 490 years without observing the 7 year sabbath of rest for the land as required in Lev. 25:4 — so the land of Israel needed a 70 year rest.

Is it possible that the USA is in a similar situation? Does the USA have any prophets of God? Do they recognize that the Almighty also cares for future generations at the expense of the present?

      2 Chronicles 36
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: 21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

Also in Jer. 32:17-18 — we’re told: “Nothing is too difficult for the Lord God, who made the heavens and earth.”

The answer we need about doomsday is still “Seek first the kingdom of Heaven and God’s righteousness … then all we need is provided.” Instead of prepping and hoarding we should prepare the way for the soon coming King (Yeshua Messiah) and his reclaiming this world openly into the Kingdom of Heaven.

What’s wrong with “prepping for doomsday” is the “little foxes” booby trap. When we amass too many things they siphon off time and attention from helping Jesus (Yeshua). Bunker mentality results, as seen in SEAL 6 since they’ll know they haven’t done the right things.

If you want to do it right — see Matthew 25 (which ties into Matthew 24 really well), also Isaiah 58.

No worries! (take no thought for the morrow… don’t worry about tomorrow, just deal with it day by day)

And resign as general manager of the universe. That job is already well in hand.

Looking back on the experiences in my life the ones that count the most to me are the ones where I was in a fix from lack of planning or thought and at the right time and moment I was provided for/saved from/ or an opportunity presented its self, without doubt I know it was the Lord who helped me and these experiences are priceless. Now I plan more think things out use wisdom that God taught me and still when I need something it comes at the right time I still see the Lord in the details not only in timing but by what he taught me do by my own hands, I value faith highly over works but sometimes they work hand in hand. Each of us has to walk in faith according to the measure given so I find it hard to recommend if one should prepare or not but at least I can say the Lord can be trusted and relied on.

I will keep my PMs anyway. Better than paper money. I am arfriad toilet paper will be more valubale than the dollar at one point. Could barter with that.

    • Eric W. said

Question: We have precedent for this.

Like guns, transactions on gold and other PMs are recorded. Guess who gets to see all that?

What makes people think this government won’t issue another sieze order on gold and other PMs down the road?

All the more so with O and his Executive Order pen?

The NWO is about controlled chaos, not complete anarchy. I’m not saying PMs are a bad idea at all! But if we’re down to cash in wheelbarrows…if you don’t have the metals on your property with you how are you going to even get to them?

If you do have them on your property…learn to like guns…but past that…realistically…what are you going to do with them if we’re all in the same “holy crap” boat?

    • Eric W. said

The Bible guarantees we’re headed for a global cashless society where ultimately people will be forced to take the Mark of the Beast to buy or sell. Regardless of eschatology by and large most people around here agree we’re near that time.

There’s no margin for any kind of underground currency or precious metals anywhere in that picture which is why I fully expect at some point down the road another seize order from the USA government per the NWO on gold and PMs. They’ve done it before. They’ll do it again.

The NWO wants controlled chaos but their game is “our way or the highway” and you need really go no further than O’s Executive Order track list and the behavior of government agencies like the EPA and judges overruling ballot decision a couple of weeks after votes take place to get the picture.

    • Jimmy Douglas said

I will worry about that later. Right now I want to protect my assets.

I trust in God. But if one knows that a tornado or some other disaster is heading their way, what does a Godly person do? Stand in the street and just say ‘God is going to take care of me?” I would guess you would find shelter.

I do not believe there is a high likelyhood that the governement will seize gold or any other PM. When Roosevelt did it, it was the Quantiative Easing of the time.

Jim Sinclair and others point this out.

You do make good points that everyone should be evaltuating though.

      Just my two cents.

  4. Eric W. said

No surprise: I agree certainly with the entire post as far as concerns and issues go.

Do what you feel led in the Lord for prudence.

We should remember the story of Joseph and how God told him that a famine was coming and that while there was still time and the crops were plentiful to set aside grain for a time when none would grow.

There seems to be some debate about planning for a time of need, some call it hoarding and if by doing so were not trusting God to provide for us.

Yeshua waned us that a famine is coming to various places, read Matthew 24.

We should set aside all that we may need to live while we can.

    Shalom and Maranatha

Not directed at anyone here obviously:

Not to put too fine a point on it but since 08 (not a coincidence) a LOT of people have been making a lot of money on this “buy gold and precious metals!” racket.

Fear and ignorance are two very powerful agents for an unscrupulous salesman. Heck it never fails. There’s a sucker born every minute.

      Follow the money, folks.

      Just saying.

Like Samson, americans have been blinded and enslaved. Some old mercury dimes would probably be a good investment if the dollar collapsed.

    • Jimmy Douglas said

I agree. Pre 1965 silver coins are not a bad idea. Not as pretty as the bullion, but it is real money. I like the history with each coin too.

    • John T said

Sid Roth had a guy on who said silver would be more valuable than gold, but i’m hoping we’re not around for that total collapse scenario. An article stated that the critical vote in the last election were people with no religious affiliation. They swung the election to the prez. O’reilly Factor’s man-on-the-street interviews showed many people who did not know where Jesus was born. The country is becoming so unenlightened, it’s amazing.

    • LookingUp said

And a critical “non-vote” by Christians who wouldn’t vote for a Mormon. Haven’t seen anyone talk about that statistics.

    • Eric W. said

The Mormon wouldn’t have done anything appreciably different about any of this. Check voting records and backgrounds.

Neither so called candidate even talked about the debt much during the elections considering how large it is.

Ron Paul was the ONLY candidate in the election that was serious about going after the Fed and trying to turn things around. I’m no libertarian but I certainly agreed with him 100 percent when it came to fiscal matters.

    • LookingUp said

I agree, Eric, but my point was that the whole Mormon issue has been totally ignored. Lots of discussions on revamping the whole Republican part to make it look like the dems, but nothing about, “well, hey – what if they hadn’t had a Mormon running for president?” Twenty years ago it Socialist Party A and Socialist Party B. Now it’s Globalist Party A and Globalist Party B.

    • Eric W. said

      LookingUp:

Ah, alright. Couldn’t agree more. :)

  7. I have some canned food and some freeze dried food. But I have had these supplies for years now, as I was getting ready five or six years ago. The freeze dried food (some cans, might help for two months) is supposed to last for twenty years. The cans have expiration dates on them. Most of my canned food will expire in 2013. I guess I might as well start eating it now, timing my consumption to end in late winter of 2013.

My canned food is primarily rice/beans from Whole Foods, all with expiration dates of 2013. So storing up cans is not as long term as you think.

Storing water is a total problem for me. My plastic bottles, although marked on the bottom as the “safe” kind in respect to BP’s, is rumored to go extinct after a few months. I don’t care for the Deyo method of storing water in big containers with some chlorine. I remove chlorine from my tap water with a filter. Chlorine and I do not get along.

Freeze dry is the best method of food storage because of long shelf life, but beware of freeze dried products which are unhealthy for many people, primarily because of high salt content. Look at the salt content online before ordering. Expect long waits before delivery.

The only way I see preparation working fully is through community co-ops, which would include locally grown food which does not rely on long distance transportation.

But rely more fully on God’s provision.

    • Jimmy Douglas said

Canned Salmon has a decent shelf life. I rotate what supplies I have. Water storage is a challenge for me too since we live in an apartment but I am working on it.

    • LookingUp said

The key, Mariel, is to keep using your supplies nearest expiration date first and replace as you go. Another option, if you can affort it, is to donate the soon-to-expire foods to your food bank. I’ve been trying to figure out an easy way to rotate from older to newer without having to always empty my cupboard. So far, the only thing I’ve come up with is storing extra stuff in plastic bins that fit under my bed with the expiration date on top. If anyone else has a better system, please share.

    • G-force said

Actually, Mariel, you can store canned food quite a bit longer than the expiration date. In fact, I believe that Stan and Holly Deyo cover this in “Dare to Prepare.” Other websites cover the shelf-life of canned goods as well. The older they are the less nutrient value they will have but if you’re starving, an outdated can of beans might do the trick to keep you and a loved one going for a day or two more. I think we have all bought the “shelf-life lie” from the food industry. If they didn’t put a date on it, you wouldn’t have a reason to toss it out and go buy more. It’s part of the industry scam! It’s the same way with prescription drugs (also cover in the Deyo’s book). The shelf-life for many Rx and OTC drugs is much longer than posted on the bottle. Do your research and you find that you don’t have to spend as much as you might think in order to be more prepared than you were when you started reading the blog today!

God bless you in your efforts, Mariel! And remember, do what you can and let God take care of the rest!!!

Back to what David Wilkerson said. I wouldn’t put as much stock as I do into it…if the rest of his vision wasn’t consistently lining up! But it does. I’ve yet to read anything in “The Vision” that hasn’t unfolded just as God said to David (W.) in his nightly visions.
The scenario I’m only guessing might happen…the government (NWO or Obama) simply making gold ownership illegal. That or…setting a price for gold that’s ridiculously low, while making transactions illegal.
    There is precedence for that.
It could happen overnight. You could wake up the next morning to discover your stash of gold is not only worthless but it’s illegal to cash it in. You’ll be required to “turn it over” to the authorities.
Just imagine if some new energy source was revealed that required gold to power it, for example. What better excuse than to “force” citizens to give it up? If it was declared worth only $10 an ounce, who wouldn’t want to unload it?
There are laws already on the books (dating back to 1919) giving the government power to confiscate and regulate metals and substances deemed “necessary” for the war effort. It doesn’t take much imagination to come up with a scenario that fulfills what David Wilkerson said would happen.

There was a doomsday guest on Coast to Coast last week, I won’t mention him by name as to avoid critics, however, he suggested the best bet would be to gather things worth value that people would want to barter for, such as ammunition, charcoal, lighter fluid, gasoline, bicycles chocolate, sugar.
Every good survivalist has a stockpile of things he or she recognizes their family may need to survive a natural or man-made disaster. However, many people forget the value of maintaining a barter store as well. If things hit the fan, particularly in an economic collapse where the dollar is nearly worthless, a number of non-monetary goods will be more valuable than a fistful of dollar bills.
It’s also important to recognize that we can’t possibly store enough of every item to account for every scenario for an indefinite period of time. However, what we can do is have some items on hand to barter with neighbors to plug gaps in our preparations.
Imagine a neighbor with a large garden and some chickens trading half dozen eggs and some squash for a box of ammo, or a small bottle of Vodka.
Consider stocking up on the following items, even if you have no plans to use them yourself, for their potential barter value.

Things to Stockpile with a potentially High Barter Value

Cigarettes. I hate smoking, and can’t stand being around anyone that smokes. Having said that, I recognize that in a disaster situation many others will be cut off from their access to cigarettes, so there is plenty of barter potential.

Soap. Bars of soap and even those little cleaning napkins/wipes that you get at the BBQ restaurants could be very valuable in a disaster scenario. Ever see “The Book of Eli?”
Bullets. Obviously, it’s a good idea to have a decent store of ammo representing all calibers of the weapons you own. However, it is also a good idea to store extra ammo in common calibers (9mm, .22, .38, 12-guage shells, etc.) as a potential barter. After all, a gun without ammo is just an inaccurate throwing object.
Alcohol. Alcohol could serve a variety of purposes in a disaster situation. It is valuable as a potential bartering commodity, and it also has medicinal uses. Did you know Vodka is a great home remedy to counteract the reaction to poison ivy?
MREs. More portable and easier to barter than larger 5-gallon buckets, or even #10 cans of dried foods, MREs are great to have on hand for bartering. Keep a variety of flavors and different kinds of foods because you could be holding something that could complete a meal for a hungry person.
Silver Coins. Keep in mind this doesn’t necessarily mean only silver dollars with a full ounce of silver, but even older, less expensive coins with a high silver component (the 1964 Kennedy half-dollar, for example).
Detergent. Don’t think people are interested in bartering detergent? Check out the story about the recent rash of detergent thefts across the country. Apparently, Tide detergent on the black market is now referred to as “liquid gold.” Interesting.

Water bottles. To someone in bad need of water, a water bottle could be worth its weight in gold. Remember the rule of threes: you can live three minutes without air, three days without water, and three weeks without food. Store accordingly.

Matches and lighters. A box of matches is relatively inexpensive, but for someone needing to build a fire a pack of matches or a lighter could be very valuable. Be sure these are stored safely, and if they are not waterproof make them so by storing in a watertight container.

Sugar. My grandfather used to tell stories of things that were in limited supply in the Great Depression. Sugar was something he often mentioned. Imagine how easily you could win over a sweet-tooth with the promise of a bag of sugar in exchange for something you are short on.

Toilet paper. This one is rather self-explanatory, isn’t it? Sure, there are substitutes for Charmin, but who wants to keep using leaves when paper feels so much better. (Caution: This barter might not work with certain members of the Muslim faith; avoid contact with left hand if possible)

Water Filters/Purifiers. Water purification drops and filters could mean the difference in offering family members treated water or potentially harmful, bacteria-infested water. Who’d be willing to trade for that?

Bleach. May be used to disinfect water, or keep living quarters and soiled clothing sanitized.

Batteries. Can be used to power up flashlights, radios, and other electronic devices.

Candles. Emergency candles would be a great barter item for those in need of providing some light to their living quarters without electricity.

What other items would you add to your barter store?

      Very good list.

I would add bandaids, peroxide, numerous medicines, blankets,

I am with you on the pre 65 coins. Right now a pre 65 dime is worth around 23 to 25 of the zinc dimes that are in your pocket right now.

One would want to be selective with who they barter with. It would be a shame to have them come back and kill you for your stuff with the bullets you just barted, or anything else for that matter.

I would say peroxide and bleach would be the most affordable items to aquire right now.

    • Matt said

Yes, that’s a great list; the one that really caught my attention on that list is # 75 Soy sauce.
I can’t tell you how many times I have thought if the world was coming to an end, what would I want or need the most? And 9 times out of 10, my answer was Soy sauce, I’m a sucker for fried rice what can I say? I don’t know about you but I would be willing to trade a trade a new generator, a flashlight, a national enquire magazine, and a 2 boxes of pop tarts for a bottle of Soy sauce.

Those would be great, and maybe even one a day type vitamins since nutrition will be low to nonexistent. Extra pairs of reading glasses, binoculars, nail clippers, razors.

It’s hot sauce for me – Frank’s Red and shiracha for a serious kick. Adds a little pop to that rice with soy sauce. I read somewhere – who can keep up these days? – that soy sauce is poison in a bottle, mainly because of the salt content. I’ve switched to the low sodium. Pickled jalepenos have a long shelf life, too. Now I’m hungry.

    • Matt said

We use Hot Sauce in these parts as a weapon…aim for the eyes. There is always a bottle on the table no matter where you go. I agree Frank’s Red is pretty good…
I use to enjoy going out to get Chinese food once in a while but don’t eat too much of it anymore as most is not really too good for you, with the MSG and all. Although when I want to treat myself once in a great while I usually order the Kung Po Chicken dish…although not long ago a strange thing happened to me after a Kung Po Chicken dinner at this restaurant not too far from me which I to go to quite a lot. , I just finished my dinner when the fortune cookie arrived; I don’t usually open them as I don’t care of the cookie itself. But for some reason I decided to opened this one and it read …”That wasn’t chicken”
Kinda freaked me out a bit…I haven’t been back since.

Salt, spices of all types.I raise Chickens, rabbits and goats and plan to use eggs, meat and milk as barter when extra is available.Of course in hard times anyone that needs milk for kids would get it even if their was no extra available,I would give them mine..I try to stock up extra in the belief that A hungry person just might be willing to listen to the gospel in order to get some needed food, kinda the midnight mission method, lol Also stock up on Bibles, can often find them at the dollar store.

A country man will survive. :) I live in the country, too, have deer, a lake with fish, neighbors with cattle. I thought I was in good shape until the drought hit and dried up the lake, practically starved the deer, and everybody sold off their cattle. I would like to have chickens and goats, but can’t figure out how to keep the coyotes from getting them. I’ve started getting dried milk and cheese and plan to change the power supply to my well from electricity to solar.

Hadn’t thought about looking for Bibles at the dollar stores, but that’s a great idea. I’m putting gospel tracts in different places just in case we get Raptured outa here.

Ha. That’s too funny, Matt. I like Thai better, but the-middle-of-no-where, Texas doesn’t have much of a Thai population. Actually, it has NO Thai population. Now I’m hooked on curry – which I also think has a long shelf life. With the right herbs and condiments, we could probably be able to eat grass.

    • Matt said

Sounds like you may need to open up your own Thai restaurant?
There is a Thai restaurant in my area with the worst name in the world for a Thai restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter. I always wanted to try it as I’ve heard the food is good from those who were brave enough to go but I just can’t get past the name…its, called My Dung. I’m not joking; this is what they name it. Probably not a great place to take a first date while trying to make good impression. When you invite her to dinner and she ask where we are going. What are you going say… “sounds bad but trust me its good”?

    • LookingUp said

Definitely not a first-date place. On the other hand, you’d know if you had an adventurer who is brave enough to tread where the fearful and insecure dare not go.

I am thinking about stocking up on some fucoidan tablets. I have been taking this supplement, Limu, for the past 3 months and am impressed. I was very sceptical and went ahead and tried it for pain. I can’t really say it has helped my pain, but other things have improved. My Dad passed away in September and I did not eat good or check my sugar. I kept taking this stuff. I noticed my skin complexion improved. Went to the doctor a few weeks ago to have my labs done and thougt it would be bad. My good cholesterol was only 3 points low. Average blood sugar was very good. My liver funtions have been off slightly the last few years, more than likley due to meds. It is now normal. So I keep taking it.

The only thing is Limu is sold through the network system. It is a juice with a limited shelf life. I am thinking about some fucoidan tablets as back up to have. If I start walking and exercising again, maybe I can get off some meds.

It might not be a bad barter item. I have diabetes and take one pill a day for it and try and watch my diet. Insulin depenents would have a rough time in a hit the fan scenario.

    • LookingUp said

Yes, they would. William Forstchen wrote a book, “One Second After” about what the country would be like after an EMP. It’s a real eye-opener. He chose a rural town for the location, so the results weren’t as devastating as those in a big city, but it was all bad. Those in bad health didn’t last long nor did those who needed medication – like diabetics. The pharamacy was one of the first places to get mobbed once people figured out what was happening. Then with no electricity to keep drugs like insulin refrigerated, even what they had went bad soon. Limited surgical supplies, no anesthesia, ran out of antibiotics, truly went back several decades medically. I have hypothyroidism, and if my meds get off even a little, I get borderline useless pretty quick. The Lord is my keeper.

One thing I don’t see mentioned above is fasting. Take times to fast and pray. If you learn to do this, the added benefit is being able to condition yourself to go without for small periods of time on a regular basis. You will conserve on the small amount of resources you have. And don’t forget the supernatural provision our Lord will supply us during the hard times. Not only is that written in Scripture, but there are testimonies out there concerning this very thing. Praise the Lord for His mercy and grace in our times of need! Amen!

Hey, Eric. I still think portals are new age/witchcraft beliefs. Demons and angels are everywhere; they don’t need any special places to gain access here. In Christ, we have direct access to the throne of God every second of every day where ever we are. Maybe new agers and witches can channel demonic forces to certain places, but they are not limited to those “portals.” In that regard, I can see how some people can be critical of Christians who promote that belief which makes them question what their other teachings as well.

It would be interesting to know when portals became an item for Christians. My instinct is that it’s a relatively new teaching. If that’s true, then 2,000 years of Christians were literally in the dark about this part of “spiritual warfare.” That doesn’t sound like the God I know. If portals were real and necessary and God wanted us to stand against them, He would have given us instructions on how to deal with them. He didn’t.

    • Eric W. said

Very good points. I don’t disagree with any of that. I haven’t really taken a side in this discussion and had only tagged on to it late yesterday.

The following is “Thus thinketh Eric” not “Thus sayeth the Lord.” ;) : T

My best take on the subject, all told from what I’ve gathered so far, is that angels, demons, and Satan are created beings, right?

Only God has NO limits whatsoever.

As created beings, by definition, they’re going to have limits to what they can and can’t do albeit far less limits than we mortal humans have. Certain rules they have to abide by. Or laws if you prefer.

We abide by the law of gravity. We also abide by the law of needing to breathe oxygen to live.

I have no idea whatsoever what the angelic/demonic equivalents of those sorts of laws would be but I have to believe there’s some laws/rules they would have to abide by simply because they’re created beings.

What was the tower of Babel for?

If you look into this you’re going to see that the concept of “make a really tall tower into the sky to try and reach God” isn’t accurate. In fact it wasn’t very tall at all and yet the purpose of that place was clear. They wanted to penetrate the other realms. How were they going to attempt to do that if they weren’t physically building a skyscraper into outer space?

And if God has something against tall buildings how’s come the Empire State building and some other buildings like that haven’t been struck down? ;)

So if “tall building aren’t bad” and Babel wasn’t about making a space scraper then what were they doing and how were they going to do it?

I’m thinking back to the Nephilim Mounds conference. When L.A. came back he told us on his show about a lady that lived near the place that gave a testimony that the Lord woke her up in the middle of the night to go pray over an area of the Nephilim Mounds because some portal might have been opening up there or something bad was going on and someone needed to be on point to at least pray.

What were these structures even made for?

Clearly that was an occultic phenomenon that could have occurred at the Nephilim Mounds…portal/occultic works here…and therefore she gets tuned up to pray against it.

I hope L.A. can get her on as a guest sometime.

As it is, I think L.A. and the gang know they have to go back to the Nephilm Mounds sooner rather than later. ;)

I agree that hearing about portals in Christians SEEMS to be a fairly recent phenomenon but I want to stress that that could very well be on me. Not paying attention, not being aware, etc. etc.

^^ I’m trying to give this subject as fair of a shakedown as I can because I certainly admit I don’t know it all and have all the answers. :)

For me the jury is still out on the whole thing. :)

    • Pudding said

Eric you said: “In fact it wasn’t very tall at all and yet the purpose of that place was clear. They wanted to penetrate the other realms.”
What makes it clear to you?

    • louthesaint said

LookingUp; I fully concur that it is a new teaching. Let us know that the enemy is always manufacturing doctrines that ‘tickle the ears’. Specifically are we told that this would be the accompaniment to the apostasy of the last days 1Tim4:1

Strongholds of the enemy are established in the mind of men and women (Strongholds, speculations, lofty things) 2Cor10:4,5

If one wishes to remove for example a ‘masonic demonic principality’ within a locality, then you would have to convert the masons themselves which may involve exorcism. The other alternative would be to bulldoze the local Temple! yet even that would not solve the stronghold which is in the mind.

    • Eric W. said

“What makes it clear to you?”

Deductive reasoning. What else were they building it for that it all ultimately led to God scattering the people from the area and confusing the languages?

    • Pudding said

Eric, As you said they built it to reach other realms. For me to understand how this was deduced like you do, what information points that there were trying to penetrate other realms? Is that what you deduced from this quote alone “and they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven” ?

    • Eric W. said

Pretty much. That and the consequences that followed.

    • Pudding said

I understand what you are saying but it is a deduction based on almost no facts. The easiest deduction I can see was they were in rebellion against God and his commandments to spread out and populate the whole earth. You can see the rebellion as it is stated: And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

In fact they knew beforehand that they supposed to be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth as you see above. And then later this happened: So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

It is a far stretch on the imagination that they understood dimensional travel considering Dr. Walter Bishop had not been born yet. :þ

    • Eric W. said

I don’t disagree with any of that. :) I’m just wondering what was up with that tower…

    • LookingUp said

I wonder how much we “deduce” these days beginnting with what we see as the outcome. It’s sort of backwards. Instead of using facts to build to a conclusion, we start with the conclusion and interpret things to support it.

    • Debra said

How about this idea that the tower was most likely a (Sumerian type) ziggurat whose function was to be an ARTIFICIAL high place? Those high mountainous places where pagan gods were worshiped and sacrificed to? Being a “high place” would explain the “reaching unto heaven” part perhaps?

God has been using this man for the last few years to show the body of christ how to prepare for whats coming on the earth. you can go on his site, and order from Food For health International, either thru jims site, or the food site itself (which i prefer) because jim charges more to help keep his ministry on the air. Food for health makes and distributes 20 year shelf life food, thats is just awesome to eat, its like gourmet in a packet. it comes in buckets, he also has sechelle water purification products, filters, bottle with filters, pitchers with filters for your home. these fliters are top of the line, not like brita. seychelle fliters out 99.999 pewrcent of all contaminents. i have been stocking and preparing for over a year now, im constantly ordering buckets of 20 yr self life, i have water filters, i have been canning all summer from our garden. i gave up all summer activity to stay at home and prepare, thats how convicted i am on it. i dont think we can afford to sit back and say, well God will take care of us! no way. he lets us know in his word whats coming, hes giving us time right now to prepare, can foods ok, but u have to keep rotating it, it has exp dates, 20 yr shelf life food buckets are amazing, good for, 20 yrs or more. do what you can to stock up, if you have a BJs or sams club, you can go there and buy a years worth of food for around $300! beans and rice in huge bulk.

Future Congress 2 details. January 4-6 in Dallas, TX.

  20. Let’s see.

    - moth and rust…
    - where your treasure is there’s your heart…
    - seek first the Kingdom and God’s kindness…
    - give and it shall be given to you…

…pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

I knew a Brother in Christ who passed on this year, named Mark Meinschein.

Quite a character. He and his wife Anh probably were related to Noah and his family somehow — directly. They had all kinds of critters: ducks, geese, and a wide variety of chickens getting more widely intermixed all the time, doves, a sparrow, 2 raccoons, snakes, a spider monkey, a pot bellied monkey, a gray parrot named Rebel (my friend), mexican green parrots, prairie dog, shepherd dogs, couple of house dogs, fish outside and inside, and mice for the snakes.

He’d collect donated goods and distribute them to the needy down here on the Mexico border, sharing the gospel along the way, on both sides. Well there was a store room (pantry) for dry goods, 55 gallon containers of beans and rice, canned and boxed goods, toys, clothing, and whatever else folks donated. It seemed like the washers and dryers ran non-stop from all the dirty clothes that included. There was also a large room with six or more freezers like you might find in a market, some top load, some front load, for food of all sorts.

Mark routinely loaded up and made trips into mexico, such as to the dump outside Matamoros, where the poor pick through the burning garbage trying to survive. He did that for 5 years before returning to Dallas to again minister to folks on the streets including children.

I learned back then that “give and it shall be given to you very often means that folks donate things quite literally that are smashed, shaken, and overflowing from their containers.” And for about 3 months, I was one of the folks that Mark and Anh helped. And I was very glad to share in their abundance — which was like a river of goods flowing through their ministry.

There’s no secret to surviving (and even thriving). Mark knew all the places that would gladly give him their excess. Such as restaurants closing down for the night. And several churches likewise contributed goods. Including canned goods of all sorts.

My point is this. If you want to stock up for whatever may come — that’s the way to do it. I was delighted to have expired foods at the time, believe me. Just an experience Abba wanted me to go through that helped make room in my heart for what others feel like when they get desperate.

Revelation 12 resonates with me in this…

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle,
that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place,
where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time,
from the face of the serpent.

I don’t worry about food and clothing in the wilderness. Nor did the Israelites have to worry about it on the Exodus. Just as the 70 had no worries when Christ sent them out with few provisions. Or the apostles…

The worldly will still be trying to buy their way into heaven with excess donated goods until Christ comes — squashed down, shaken up, and spilling out of the boxes. Just think of it as a safety net. And they’ll be lookin’ for those willing to give it to the floods of poor and needy in the world, as they ebb and flow.

Of course it helps when they know you and that you’ll do so.

    Here’s another example…

Would you want to be the last alive in that vault or in that cave? heaven forbid i survive another day in this war weary world i have better things waiting upon me than huddling over a loaf of bread like a band of squirrels.

Heap for yourselves the blessings of faith in the surety that our FATHER is an all knowing all seeing GOD that just so happens to have foreseen every little detail heading your way. Know that in the worst times of your lives hes always been there watching and waiting for you to call out to him.

And KNOW you were and are provided with an escape . its so hard to have faith especially if that faith has not been tested. i see many daily around me who are spoiled children heaping to themselves a great variety of materialistic things and when tragedy strikes them and they are tested they curse the GOD that made them instead of using their pain as the growth in faith it was meant to be and crying aloud to GOD not at GOD and praying for the truth. That is the real wealth…we have it its the word.

Chew on that instead of the hope that your seed vaults and debit cards will not be enough to save you when the ends comes, because in the end you know the word..you know it wont be. Nothing short of truth there.
Rest and rely in who and what you are. its so much easier to say it than live it but you have too because He sees all. He knows who cries aloud in despair in solitude and who murmurs in the street with arms raised.

Moleste; The demonic can have no interaction within the natural realm lest they be summoned by magic or certain rituals. The effectiveness of the Cross of Christ has bound the demonic liberty that was prior to the flood and the Law.
Eph1:21. Thus we have covens, seances, ect where demons are summoned. Portals therefore are when these summonings take place. The locality has much more to do with the human Physic than physical locations. Also, Sin in ones life can open demonic activity even unto possession of the soul. Much of what is UFO abduction occur within the mind of the individuals..

    • Lou, “no me moleste” basically means “don’t bug me” so “moleste” means “bug me”

I use nomemoleste as a warning to the enemies of God and Christ, and especially to the rebel angels and their spawn, the demons, which are the spirits of the long dead nephilim hybrids. I’d grant that other demonic spirits arise from demonization as Paul warned that those that dwell with them may have spiritual offspring with them.

LA Marzulli has plenty to say on the issue of the nephilim, ufos, and aliens. My take is that whether we talk orbs, apparitions, aliens, demons, the paranormal, monsters, etc. it all traces back to and is controlled by the rebel angels, which were the old gods, their human hybrid offspring, the demi-gods, were nephilim. I’ll also assert that the neandertal were nephilim or nephilim offspring, along with the cryptids.
