2 Samule 7: 23 -24 And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people, [even] like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, [from] the nations and their gods? For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel [to be] a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.
I want to reopen a topic which closed the BLOG down for a while. The topic is Antisemitism and not only is it on the rise, it has reared its ugly head in much the same way as was manifested in Germany in the 1930′s. From Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who spews out vitriolic statements against Israel on a regular basis, to the rise of Anti-Semitic attacks by 45%, in France.
Anti-Semitic attacks in France rise 45 percent this year
Anti-Semitic attacks in France rise 45 percent this year | The Times of Israel
We’ve also had folks on this BLOG use the book of Revelation twisting the scriptures telling us Israel is the synagogue of Satan. However the text plainly says in Revelation 3:9:
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Isn’t it convenient how most people who use this phrase leave out the most important three words in the text; and are not!?!
This text should serve as a proof text for the “chosen” state of the house of Israel: For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel [to be] a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.
It seems crystal clear to me this is a mandate and the word forever means what it says, forever.
So why would I bring this up when I know it attracts the trolls and the Jew haters? Israel is now surrounded by hostile nations. The only nominal ally she has is Jordan, and most likely we will see the Moslem Brotherhood topple the monarchy under the rulership of King Abdullah II. This will make Israel surrounded by nations who pose a direct existential threat to her. However, there is one over-riding factor and it is this; God has said Israel will be a people unto himself forever and He means what He says. He is not about to leave them or forsake them.
The cartoon sums up in a snapshot, what I believe with all my heart is being played out prophetically in the Middle East. God’s word is true and it is being fulfilled with the nation of Israel being reborn in a day, just like prophecy told us it would.
In the end, they, the house of Israel, will look on Him whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as an only son. In time all things will be restored, as God remembers His chosen people.
Be still and know that I Am God. Behold the days are coming when I will show my strength on the mountains of Israel.

Pastor LA, a well timed message, for me in particular. I have a question, for any one who knows. I have been searching for years for a congregation to fellowship with. I was 20 miles from my home, shopping. When I gave the cashier my check, she noticed that we had the same name,( first and last), strange enough. Then she noticed my address, she said she was a member at the Messianic church right across from my house! (it sits a good ways off the road) She invited me to join them, and said they meet on Tuesday and Friday nights every week, followed by sharing a meal. I wanted to ask but did not want to show my stupidity, and she was working. Why do they not meet on the first day of the week? Is this customary for all Messianic churches?
Thanks for any input.

As Chuck Missler often points out, the Sabbath (Sat.) vs. Sunday is a debate that’s far from easy to resolve. My own conclusion based on Chuck’s commentary is that both days are great in their own right! God Himself rested on the Sabbath (Saturday). Jesus Himself arose on Sunday. Therefore why not rest and contemplate God on Sat. and follow that up with a celebration on Sunday? Really, when you think about it, is one day enough to worship God as a Body?
mysticmentor said
The sabbath simply means one day of rest out of Seven, dedicated to the Lord, Which day out of the 7 doesn’t matter as long as you honor it properly, IMHO
Jacqueline said
Moonpie,
Friday night is the beginning of Shabbat, that’s all. At my Messianic congregation, we meet Saturday mornings, which is pretty customary. Shabbat runs from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, because in Judaism, the day starts at sundown. (And there was evening, and there was morning, the first day–Genesis 1:5; also, “Evening, morning, and noon I will cry out”–Psalm 55:17, not “morning, noon, and night.”)
Messianic congregations are places where Jewish believers can bring their family members and they won’t feel alienated and turned off, but experience the familiarity of the Jewish liturgy and Torah, and have an opportunity to see that Y’shua is the Jewish fulfillment of the first coming of Messiah predicted in the Tanakh, the Old Testament, as in Zechariah 9:9, Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, and many, many others.
I wish the misguided ones would realize that this precious gospel God so graciously gave to them to save them is forever and always, “For the Jew FIRST! And. . . also. . . for the Gentile.” Paul loved the Jews so much he wanted to rather lose his salvation if it would help them be saved. And as the tribulation approaches, the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble,” God will be done with this age of bringing in the Gentiles, and turn back to Israel as in the days of the Old Testament (think, the two witnesses of Revelation, think, the 144,000) and after the cleansing of the nation, “All Israel shall be saved,” Romans 11:25-26.
As L.A. noted, if you just read the text for what it is, all these hateful dark things just disappear. God bless Israel.

Legalism is a pretense for the phariseas to persecute. Jesus would have our heart be dedicated to the lord EVERYDAY. Take a day out of seven to devote to God. If you use a specific day over another to divide the body, these is displeasing to God.
Jacqueline said
True. Y’shua is our rest, having performed the work of our atonement and having sat down at the right hand of the Majesty. The work is done. He is our rest. We labor no more, we are free, we are whole, may we just delight in Him all the time.

It is not when or where we worship That defines us as the true people of God… It is ‘How’ we worship! and Jesus said that “an hour is coming, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth” Jn4:23
That hour as Jesus constituted it to be the Now! is the present reality of the abounding grace made available by the sacrificial passover of the Lamb of God.. “For the Grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men” Titus2:11
The only act of worship that is acceptable to God is that which is rendered by the company of the saved believers sealed by the Spirit of Truth! rightly so as Jesus said, that it is such the Father seeketh to be His worshippers Vs23
All other worship is constituted in Babylon the whore by the Spirit of

Did you know the law/commandments (including the 4th commandment) are SPIRITUAL?
Rom 7:14 For we know that the LAW IS SPIRITUAL: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Did you know the law/commandments (including the 4th commandment) are TRUTH
Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy LAW is the TRUTH.
Psa 119:151 Thou art near, O Yahweh; and all thy COMMANDMENTS ARE TRUTH.
1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and KEEPETH NOT HIS COMMANDMENTS, IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.

Did you know that Our Father gave us SPECIFIC day to keep Holy and to rest from our work? Our Master kept that same day and so did all the apostles and they taught to keep that same day as well.
L.A. talked about the word forever. The Sabbath is sign to be kept FOR EVER
Did you know that out of the commandments there is a signature commandment, a commandment that is a sign, a sealing commandment.
Do you know which commandment?
Eze 20:11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.
Eze 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a SIGN BETWEEN ME AND THEM, that they might know that I am Yahweh that sanctify them.
Eze 20:19 I am Yahweh your Elohim; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
Eze 20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a SIGN BETWEEN ME AND YOU, that ye may know that I am Yahweh your Elohim.
And
Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a SIGN {(in the sense of appearing); a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.: – mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token & gives consent } between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yahweh that doth sanctify you.
Exo 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Exo 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exo 31:17 It (Sabbath) is a SIGN BETWEEN ME AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FOR EVER: for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Boy, I hear you on this search. First of all, is it just me, or does the music in church today just suck? I mean, I listen to some of this singing and it reminds me back in the late 1970′s when I worked on my useless psych degree about how to use music to brainwash; the same lines, over and over, with increasing tempo to hypnotize the listeners and singers. I hum Johnny Cash hymns. Funny thing is, if you look around, 80% of the people in the congregation aren’t singing along. One church jammed so much I wish I still smoked so I could of held up my lighter and shouted Freebird, dude!
But sermons today. I’ve been to about six churches in Fort Collins and am currently attending Timberline, which is a very large Assemblies of God church but I have yet to hear one minister talk of sin, redemption, confession. But lots of funny jokes. Now they are doing some book and the premise is “you can’t be spiritually mature until you are emotionally mature”. I wanted to stand up and shout “OBJECTION!”. Many of the churches I’ve been to you can just see the pop psychology oozing from the message.
Now I find to go thru the membership you have to answer this questionire and I was three questions into it and went “oh crap, Rick Warren” and looked it up and sure enough, it’s a Warren program, which is a Drucker program.
The reason I go here is because it’s the only church my dad can hear and understand the sermon; and there are a couple of good ministers there, one ran a great summer Bible Study.
But I hear you about finding a church today.

hopeful_watcher,
If Yahshua broke the Sabbath that means he broke a commandment which means he sinned which then means he could not have paid for our sins. He was the sinless lamb. He never knew sin.
Your quote
“Mark 2:27
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath”
Does that mean Yahshua did not keep the Sabbath and that we are not suppose to?
Your quote
“Mark 3:2
And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. “
Yahshua said we can “do good” (to save a life) on the Sabbath but he still did not break the Sabbath by doing work.
Just as it says in the next verse you quoted
Mark 3:4
And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts,
Have you read what Yahshua says to those who do not keep the commandments?
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Sovereign, Sovereign, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Sovereign, Sovereign, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK (DO) INIQUITY (LAWLESSNESS/BREAK THE COMMANDMENTS.

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath
He is telling us why the Sabbath is important. It is important to have time set aside to commune with God. For a relationship. It diminishes the importance the Sabbath being on this day or that day. Do you think if i give my heart and praise to the Lord on Sunday and that is not the proper Sabbath day, that God will damn me for an unforgivable sin?
hopeful_watcher said
Jesus did not commit a sin, but the phariseas with their Legalism believed He did. That is my point.
hopeful_watcher said
One last point. The phariseas’ hearts were hardened and evil. They were less, concerned about the Sabbath and more concerned about finding something to accuse Jesus for. That is not to say that we shouldn’t approach the commandments with fear and obedience. However, we are to consider the two GREATEST commandment. Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourself.
On Sunday, I love the Lord with all my heart mind and soul. God knows this and He knows my heart.

“He is telling us why the Sabbath is important. It is important to have time set aside to commune with God. For a relationship. It diminishes the importance the Sabbath being on this day or that day.”
When you say it diminishes the importance of the Sabbath being on this day or that then why did Yahshua make sure he kept it on the 7th day?
Why did all the disciples keep it on the 7th day?
Why did our Father say over and over the Sabbath is on the 7th day?
Why did the apostles teach to keep the 7th day Sabbath?
Can you give me a verse that says it doesn’t matter what day?
Every verse says the Sabbath is the 7th day..
So by you saying it diminishes the importance of the Sabbath being on this day or that then you are claiming to know better than Yahweh and Yahshua and the apostles.
Quote from you
“Do you think if i give my heart and praise to the Lord on Sunday and that is not the proper Sabbath day, that God will damn me for an unforgivable sin?”
I am not saying that look at what our Master says.
Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the LAW (commandments) to fail.
And so that the truth be known.. You should research and see who changed the Sabbath from 7th day to the 1st day of the week Sun-day, Sun-god worhsip…
You will see that the change was NOT made by Yahweh, Yahshua or any of the disciples.
What you will find is that you are following the commandment or tradition of a change made by a man and by doing so you are giving your authority to man instead of Yahweh who said keep the Sabbath.

Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW and the prophets.
How do you Love Yahweh with all heart mind and soul?
and how do you love your neighbor as yourself?
Keep the commandments.
The first 5 commandments tell us how to love Yahweh the last 5 commandments tell us how demonstrate our love to our neighbor.
1Jn 5:3 FOR THIS IS THE LOVE OF ELOHIM, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous.
2Jn 1:6 AND THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, YE SHOULD WALK IN IT.
Deu 11:1 Therefore thou shalt LOVE YAHWEH THY ELOHIM, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and HIS COMMANDMENTS, ALWAYS.
If you truly love Yahweh you will obey him, keep his commandments as they are love. Yahshua demonstrated perfect love by keeping the commandments.

I am in no postion to do that as I have broken the commandments myself.
What we are suppose to do is repent of our sin..
As Yahshua told the women caught in adultery. Go and sin no more.
Mat 4:17 From that time Yahshua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye REPENT, ye shall all likewise perish.
Mar 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should REPENT.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Yahshua the Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I think we need to be patient with each other, because sometimes others don’t see what we see. This chapter says that what is OK for some, will be sin for others, because they believe its wrong and if they do it anyway, then for them it has become sin. Its all about maintaining a clear conscience. Its what we believe in our heart, that matters in the end, and when we stand before the Judge, its going to be about our faith, because everything that is not done in faith, is a sin for us, even though its not for our brother.
This whole chapter needs to be read carefully and in context.
Romans14;1) Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
toGodbetheglory said
We can all love the Lord and yet still differ on certain issues, that don’t really matter unless they cause you to sin. We’re not talking about adultery, or stealing etc, since those are all clear sins. But whether we think its OK to drink a little wine, or if we allow ourselves to celebrate holidays etc etc. We all have to be fully convinced in our own minds. Even about voting. For some to not vote will hurt their conscience, and for others just the opposite. Let your own conscience be your guide. I think thats what the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us through these scriptures.

I just mean that we can all get frustrated with those who just don’t seem to “get it” and according to this chapter in Romans, I see now that there are always going to be those who have more faith than others, and those with a weaker conscience who love the Lord just as much as we do, but that doesn’t make one better than another, just different, and we shouldn’t go around judging each other because they don’t understand things, the way we do. And see, while I’m writing this the Lord is teaching me that this covers voting too. I can’t make others go out and vote, because what may be OK for me, might hurt someone else’s conscience, and I shouldn’t expect them to violate that. And I should just trust the Lord to provide their replacement and pray for Him to do just that. I have learned a lot through the conversations on this blog, and believe it or not, a lot of my learning came in the “arguing”, and for me once I “get it” like that, I’ll never loose it.

Breaking the Sabbath is not a “clear sin”???
The Sabbath commandment is commandment number 4 on the top ten list that our Father gave us..
It is one of the top 5 five commandments that He gave us to keep that when we do we are demonstrating our love toward Him.
Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy understanding, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
How do you demonstrate this?
The first 5 commandments tell us how to demonstrate this which includes the 4th commandment.

“Its what we believe in our heart, that matters in the end, and when we stand before the Judge”
The heart is deceitful
Jer 17:9 The HEART IS DECETIFUL above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jer 17:10 I Yahweh search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Its what you believe about who Yahshua is AND its about demonstrating your belief your love by obeying what He and Yahweh said to do..
Do you see in Jer 17:10 the verse says Yahweh gives according to what we DO not what we believe.
Faith without works is dead.
What are these works?
They include first and foremost keeping the commandments.
Just as Yahshua said WHEN WE STAND BEFORE HIM
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK (DO) INIQUITY (LAWLESSNESS).
If you believe it is ok to break the Sabbath then you believe it is ok to Sin. Is that what Yahweh and Yahshua said?
Satan and the AC believe in God and Yahshua but they do not DO what they say to do. They break the commandments
That is why the AC is called the man of sin becuase He breaks the commandments including the 4th, the Sabbath, which specifically states to rest on what day?
The 7th..
If you change it to any other day then you have twisted the commandment which is what Satan did.
hopeful_watcher said
Kirt, no one is arguing if the traditional day that the Sabbath falls upon had been perverted by Satan or not. Man, you want to see the fingerprints of Satan, look around. He is running the day to day agenda down here.
But you give him WAY TOO MUCH credit, because look at the outcome. He hasn’t diminished the love and peace of those who hold a Sabbath but on a different day. What kind of superstition is this? For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers will ever seperate me from the love of our Lord Jesus Christ!
So what has Satan most succeeded in by perverting the days and holidays. The strife and discourse it causes by driving a wedge into the body of Christ, the results of which we see here. Other doctrinal debates, like rapture seek to do the same.
How many people who celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday are going to hell compared to those who celebrate on Sunday? I would garner a guess that the ratio is about the same. If your objective is for salvation and the great commission, then you are fighting the wrong battle.
hopeful_watcher said
BTW, the Holy Spirit moves through our church like a wave of peace and joy all the time. On Sunday no less!
The Holy Spirit and sin are incompatible.

I’m going to be careful with this…nothing dogmatic up or down just a question…but when you have some of these Hebrew Roots Movement/House of Ephraimite/”British Israelism” teachings and movements out there…where do they fit in that kind of concept?
Clearly they’re teaching un-Biblical concepts and putting themselves back under the law, at least partially even if they tell you “it’s for fun/God is commanding us to have fun” and “we’re not being legalistic” etc.
Wasn’t that basically what the Nicolatians were peddling back in the first century in the book of Acts? Similar concepts?
These HRM folks will tell you they’re anti Replacement Theology but unwittingly in a lot of cases they’re perpetrating all of the above anyways to some degree or another.
When a mentor and a teacher in this movement tells you point blank on a radio show: “We all become Hebrews when we get saved.”
^^ That’s scary stuff, folks.
That makes my skin crawl and makes me runs for the exits but that’s what’s out there and I’ve been running across it including on some radios shows of folks that really ought to know better by all rights.
It’s been troubling to watch because I feel like I’ve seen a LOT more of it in recent times. I’m worried for some folks involved in that stuff whether they want to “ignore/deny labels” and so forth. They need to prayerfully read the book of Galatians right off the bat. Sorry for the long post but this has bee a burden on my heart for probably a good two months now.

“Gentiles” are grafted into the “Hebrew” Vine…
Jacqueline said
Replacement theology is definitely satanic. It is the basis for the Holocaust, pogroms, the Inquisition and other so-called “Christian” crimes, that have no basis whatsoever in Christianity. Yet Martin Luther even fell prey to it. There are followers of this satanic theology who are deceived, yet believers, and followers who are not believers at all.
The only remedy is to take the Scriptures simply and literally, only taking as allegory things that are pointedly, clearly allegorical. Spiritualizing prophecy is a one-way ticket to utter deception, cult beliefs, brainwashing, and all kinds of evil.

I just gave a hearty endorsement to the article that Pudding linked to regarding what the synagogue of satan actually referred to. I do believe that information to be exact and correct. However, on further investigation of the website “http://www.askelm.com/doctrine/index.asp” I found a very disturbing doctrinal article and after checking out the biographies of one of the men involved discovered that he was at one time a member of the Worldwide Church of God. Years ago, my husband and I used to listen to their radio broadcast and eventually discovered some things that they were teaching that were very much different and in opposition to our Southern Baptist doctrines. Even though this gentleman is not now affiliated with any church, he has evidently brought some of what he believed from the Worldwide Church of God’s teachings into this website. The main one that disturbed me the most was the belief that the Trinity was an unChristian teaching. Evidently he still believes that, so I would caution anyone going to this site to beware.

Beyond those which say they are Jews, and are not.. I think in our current time we have similar problems among Christianity i.e. Apostasy, Replacement theology etc. the body of Christ has the Holy Spirit; the Teacher. If the body is divided against itself then how good is its teacher? Better said there is “The Teacher” and the false teacher, the counterfeit spirit leads those away from the truth with cleverly conceived fables and vain imaginations albeit all claim to be Christian.

Rock on Pudding! Great link!

Follow up to Pudding’s point about “our current time.” The key point about those that they say they’re “such and such” and are not is that they are false witnesses.
In the letters to the churches in the Revelation, toleration for wickedness is exposed — that shows evidence of one or more wrong spirits festering within the congregations.
1 false saviors (spirit of unforgiveness, false love *, v. 2:4))
2 false prophets (spirit of balaam, v. 2:14)
3 false pastors (spirit of death, contrast “remain faithful and I will give the crown of life v. 2:10b)
4 false teachers (spirit of jezebel, v. 2:20, note “to teach and seduce”)
5 false apostles (spirit of abaddon)
6 false servants (spirit of the nicolaitanes, false deacons, false public servants)
7 false elders (spirit of satan **, cp synagogue of satan)
(* v. 2:4, rescuers that will not risk their lives for others, cp. John 13:37-38, 15:13. 1st John 3:16)
(** false witnesses, those that say they are jews and are not, the dragon)
Contrast these with Christ as seen with His 7 Spirits (the 7 Horns and 7 Eyes of the Lamb)
1 He that holds the seven stars in His right hand, that walks in the midst of the churches
2 He that has the sharp sword with two edges (The Word)
3 He that the first and last, which was dead and is alive
4 He that has eyes like flames of fire, and his feet are like fine brass (the Lamb, cp. lampstand)
5 He that has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars
6 He that’s holy, he that’s true, he that has the Key of David… (keys to the Kingdom)
7 The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God
– And the Ancient of Days.
We can compare similarly to the 10 Commandments, the “I am sayings of Christ” in John, the Armor of God, etc.
Pudding said
As a side note to my comment above take a look at John 8:48, interesting that they called the Lord a
Samaritan. (hard to tell the difference between a Jew and a Samaritan?) Taken from the following webpage: “http://www.askelm.com/people/peo006.htm”

Very glad to see this focused back on scripture and away from politics!
A “people” (here Israel) is very different than a nation defined by political boundaries. Peoples, tribes, nations, and tongues are different.
Israel includes Moses. We know he died, yet we see him again in scripture at the mount of transfiguration.
So true Israel of old, including David and the prophets is with Christ now in their spiritual bodies in heaven. Clearly that does not include Ahab, Jezebel, or Herod. And the true Jews who embraced Messiah in anticipation, along with His apostles are with Him now, preparing New Jerusalem.
And yes absolutely there will be plenty of Jews both in the nation of Israel and beyond it’s political borders, alive in their natural bodies now, that will join those who have gone before them in the greater cloud of witnesses who have passed on.
Clearly within the boundaries of political Israel of today (different than the boundaries of 1948 or upcoming in prophecy, esp. Ezekiel), there are those that say they are Jews and are not. Some may be involved in replacement theology (such as anglo-israelist or mormon-israelists). Some may be residents and not part of bloodlines of Jacob or Judah.
The remnant though they go through Jacob’s Troubles are firmly in G-d’s hand. And that leaves those that for whatever reason make it all the way through this life and never deal with accepting or rejecting Messiah. Perhaps because they were cut off in the holocaust(s) unfairly because of being identified as the people of God? Perhaps because the rebel angels have focused their attack against the Almighty on the children of the saints who are with Him. The Valley of Dry Bones looks like the place where justice is given to them and the wicked works of devil are completely destroyed in that he and the rebels tried to destroy the children of Israel. (Such as those children that were murdered up to 2 years of age when they tried to kill Christ as a baby.)
In any case, I’m certain that G-d is just. And that all who are saved throughout the generations are saved by Messiah. Sad to say that some of Messiah’s own people (Yeshua of Nazareth) have and will reject him. Certainly among those that say they are Jews and are not. There’s the natural to consider (bloodlines, culture) and the spiritual (saved by faith through grace, reborn in the spirit). Unless both are acknowledged the whole story and true witness is not given.
Thank you LA for having the courage to deal with the issue. There was never any reason to fear. The Apple of God’s Eye is much more precious than the Ark of the Covenant. And it was well able to be defended by supernatural means. So is Israel (His People) today.

As Nomemoleste said, I believe ALL Israel will be saved. This will include those who hoped for Messiah since Jesus died. This will include my father-in-law, Ed Strauss, who remained an observant Jew while sending his eight children to the local Christian church. People are very quick to say that Ed’s great works during his lifetime (feeding his small town of Christians during the Depression, for instance) earn him no points in the Lord’s economy. I have tried to understand the theology of this for many years and have given up. I just trust the Lord for Ed’s salvation. And that of many Jews throughout history who looked for Messiah’s coming as we do. RIP beloved Ed, of blessed memory, whom I never met, but will meet in Heaven.
You can see I am passionate about this, angry at the Christians who have excluded all the Jews since Jesus’ time from salvation, unless they became “New Christians” such as the ones the Inquisition slaughtered, and the ones whom Martin Luther thought were so bad. And I’ve met bad Jews, of course! They too have a sin nature as we do, and are used by Satan. Please come soon, Messiah. Your people groan.

That cartoon says it all! I love the Jewish people. All of them. Even the hateful ones, Paul did to, and so did the Lord Jesus Christ. You can’t weep over a people you don’t love deeply, and the Lord Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, came to God’s people, the Jews, first. Jesus Himself said in John 4 “salvation is of the Jews”
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
In Rom 11:1 the Jews are called “His people” God’s people. The Jews will always be known as God’s people. Even after 2,000 years, everybody still knows, they are God’s people.
(Rom 11:1)”I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.
We who know the Lord, are sure that God will never forsake His people, the Jews, and right now, Hes “loving them” through us, who are His “other people” who were grafted into their spirtual tree, later. Romans 15, says that we have been made partakers of their (the Jews) spiritual things and that its our duty to support them financially, with our carnal things, and I believe also with our public support. They were the first, original olive tree, with which God was intimately aquainted with. They knew God, before anybody else, so salvation was offered to them first before every other people. That was an honor and shows Gods favor upon this people. The Gentiles only came in later. The Jews always will be, a people who are favored by God and have His promises, one of them being, when He will take away their sins, and their reproach. Which is a supernatural loathing of them by the nations, inspired by demonic forces, simply because they are favored by God.We should never act “better than” unsaved Jews because we’re saved and they’re not, which is what some of the trolls like to do. Paul warns against that. There is more going on with all of this, than we can understand, because Paul says its a “mystery”. But the love of God in our hearts should cause us to want to love and protect the Jewish people from the reproach of the world they are carrying around, for His sake. Simply because they are identified with Him.
Rom 15:27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
Rom 11:24
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

As I struggle through my Masters in Theology, one conclusion I’ve come to is on my judgment day, I will be wrong doctrinally on something, probably a few things, hopefully not a lot of things, and so will everyone else. Graham, Lutzer, McArthur, Missiler, and everyone else will be wrong here or there. Language changes alone between the KJV and today account for some confusion, let alone understanding what this hebrew or this greek word meant 2,000, or 3,000 years ago.
The seven churches is argued. Everyone likes to think they belong to one of those ‘good’ churches, nobody thinks they belong to one of the bad; others say these apply to specific churches during the first century while others say they apply to all churches and still others call them an evolutionary tale of all churches.
One thing I really like that Lynn does is use the Hebrew names for God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Ghost. It almost immediately deflates the antisemitic argument, or it should, but then I’ve never met an antisemitic person with an open mind.
One thing I don’t like is when the blog is shut down because of antisemitism. The only chance there is of changing anyone’s mind is discussion, not censoring their opinion. Let them let if fly and believe in the people here and the work of the Holy Ghost in us to reach these people.

The Brotherhood’s supreme leader Mohammed Badie called on Muslims worldwide this week to defend Jerusalem, saying “Zionists only know the way of force.” He said that Jews were spreading “corruption,” had slaughtered Muslims and desecrated holy sites.
“It is time for the Muslim … to unite for the sake of Jerusalem and Palestine after the Jews have increased the corruption in the world, and shed the blood of (Muslims),” Badie said. The comments were denounced as hate speech by organizations that track anti-Semitism.

Eli Shaked, a former Israeli ambassador to Egypt, said the Brotherhood’s statement was aimed at deflecting attention from Morsi’s troubles in his first 100 days in office, from fuel shortages to mounting piles of garbage on the streets.
“Every time there is domestic tension in the new Egypt, Israel and the Jews will be targeted and every time the Egyptian street is tense or protests the Muslim Brotherhood will bring the anti-Semitic genie out of the bottle,” he said Saturday.
= unquote =
Q. Who’s behind anti-semitism? A. “the genie in the bottle” (genie = djinn ~ rebel angel cp. prince of persia)
note: Job 4:14 (re: Russ Dizdar, from Eliphaz, on “sleep paralysis” cp. genie as “those hidden”)
12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.
13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,
14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake.
15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up:
16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof:
an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying… [some mischief]
The focus of the assault on anti-semitism is best directed at the rebel angels and their dark forces.
And sense most of us don’t have discernment to see them — no doubt Michael, the same that responded to Daniel’s prayers and those forces allied with him — need only be dispatched. …which makes me think of calling down fire from Heaven, in as much as the muslims think of the djinn as spirits of fire, but we know better:
Hebrews 1
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time,
Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again,
I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world,
he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith,
Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith,
Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:
a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
As our names are written in Heaven, by the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Yeshua Messiah, the Lamb of God… to Michael and the holy armies of God… you and your forces are released throughout the world to battle anti-semitism for the protection of Israel as is your charge righteously before the Lord of Hosts, who is the only begotten Son of of God. I’m truly sorry you hate Jews, Jesus was born a Jew, the disciples were Jews, Paul was a Jew as well as a Roman citizen. IF God breaks his covenant with the Jews, then what would keep him from breaking his Word to the gentiles?
And did you ever realize that Jesus’ entire ministry, when He walked the earth, was ministry to the Hebrew people, not the gentiles? What does that tell you?

LA and all; if i may share on this matter of the Synagogue of satan!
It is not national Israel, neither is it The millions of Jews still scattered among the nations….
Fact; Ezekiel among the exile in the Land of the Chaldeans (Babylon) was shown by the Lord the abomination of the elders of Israel Ez8:6-18
let us keep in mind here that this abomination is a clerical issue (The elders) as Ezekiel points out.
The Chaldean religion acquired by the Jewish eldership and priests during the captivity of Babylon gave birth to the sect of the Pharisees whose name only appear in the scriptures and in the writtings of Jewish historians after the captivity (606BC)
The ‘Cabala’ or (tradition of the Pharisees) originated from there.. for a long time their precepts (teachings) were only transmitted ‘orally’ Latter they formed the Talmud which received its final form in the book called the ‘Sepher ha Zohar’ their teaching in print.. ‘Talmud and Cabala’ go hand in hand..
The Jewish encyclopaedia acknowledges the Babylonian Chaldean origins of the Cabala (Kabbalah) as the Hidden wisdom of the Hebrew rabbi’s of the middle ages derived from older secret doctrines and that early Gnosticism flowed from the Jews to the ersatz (christians).
But there is much more!
The early Church stood against This evil as did Jesus and the Apostolic body… However; The emperor Constantine followed By Julian gave entrance of these Babylonian Pharisaic doctrines in what we now call the Catholic church… Clerical Catholicism and its worship is crammed with the sorceries of Babylon, one cannot deny the similarities between the two… any who know anything about Catholicism can readily see in her the descriptive false worship in Ezekiel chapter 8.
So; what is the Synagogue of satan? its constitution is that form of worship that places Babylonian tradition above the Word of God! Just like Jesus accused the Pharisees Mk7:13 This rejection of Jesus a The Messiah is still prominent within Judaism, Catholicism has given it another twist by its ecumenical doctrine! Both are of the Babylonian mysteries, and that is precicely what The Synagogue of satan stands for.. a rejection of the incarnate Word of God as the only way of salvation!
That is what we are called to come out of, because It is the religion of the Spirit of Antichrist that persecutes God’s people. History bares this truth..
If what i share here resounds anti-Semite in you.. You have a problem and should ponder seriously if you may need to come out of Babylon..
Blessings

To Breezy, I think to be anti-Zionist is not to be anti-Jewish. I personally believe that the nation of Israel is still in the process of being developed. I believe that until there is an actual third temple, Israel is incomplete.
I think we must be careful and must not be dismissive that there could be a group of people conspiring to bring there wishes to fruition. No one questions the leader of Iran when he makes a claim that he’s willing to sacrifice his own people so that the the Iman Mahdi appears… Remember God is in control and will do whatever He wants to do whether there is or is not a Zionist conspiracy. Please be careful and do not recreate Balaam’s error.
Think when Abraham tried to jump start God’s promises that he had Ishmael, but God still got his Isaac.
LA, a C2C program made me question? Why has the UFO phenomenon blossomed since the creation of the state of Israel?

Anti-Zionism is Anti-Semitism in a suit and tie.
Alan said
I would say that Satan’s Synagogue could be a sect of Jews whose god is Mammon, or Lucifer. The spirit behind the Babylonian Talmud’s insane hatred of Christ and His followers (Torah Jews too) is the same behind this false synagogue and Mystery Babylon. And this is not ‘anti-Semitic’ to say this.

It is indeed the same Alan, and it is well hidden this mystery that it is!
I do believe that God is allowing his people to see it for what it is.
‘This Spirit of antichrist’
Christians have been lied to in the very name of Jesus whom they have placed their faith in as the saviour.. The depth of the deceit of this “blasphemy” of satan’s synagogue has become a whorish mother of ecumenical harlotry.
He that denieth that Christ is come in the Flesh is antichrist said Apostle John… It is as simple as that! and it all has to do with what He came to do in the flesh “The Cross of Christ” as the only means of salvation…

Zionism is for a nation of Israel. It is no more evil than national pride that leads us to place our hand over our heart during the national anthem. But no one would deny, that just because we have pride does not mean there are not specific sects in the government that are greedy, corrupt, dare I say even evil. The nation of Israel has a certian population that are every bit as secular and some even evil as any other nation. And others that righteously uphold the law of God with fear and trembling. But that doesn’t mean God doesn’t bless her and call her back to the fold.

I found that very informative John B. Something I have had on my mind to do is a study on Ka, Kabalah and the Kabah, wondering if there is any connection (which in the short run we know anything contrarty to Christ/Word is always going to have some kind of connection. I found it strange the TBN and a couple other ‘christian’ stations are “streem lining” the ‘coming of the messiah’. Very confusing, however I think there may be some connections and I think your study may help me in the long run…

you are welcome Deirdre. Jesus said; I am the bread of Life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that believeth on me shall never thirst Jn6:35 There are many Jews and gentiles alike who shall hunger and thirst in Hellfire.
It is very simple, Jesus promised salvation to all who believe on Him adding any other requirements to faith in Jesus corrupts the Gospel..
I have said it before and I’ll say it again; Jesus is not coming as Messiah! The work of the cross is done. He came as the meek lamb of God, He has been raised and exalted with the name above all names at which every Knee shall bow Phil2:7-11 If one is telling the Jew that His Messiah is to come! then such a one preaches another Gospel in denial of Moses and the prophets. .
Moses said;”The Lord God shall raise up for you a prophet, like me from your brethren: to Him you shall give heed of what he says to you. and it shall be that every soul That does not heed that prophet shall utterly be destroyed from among the people” Deu18:15-19
How one can make these words of Moses apply to some future Messianic work is beyond comprehension, but the likes of TBN do so..
We must all look back to the cross and hear the words “IT is Finished” expire from the bread of life as He is crushed for our iniquity Isaiah53:5
Isaiah’s prophecy was to the House of Israel..Apostle preached Christ crucified the power of God unto salvation to them that believe..

Chuck Missler says that an overlooked interpretation of the Synagogue of Satan could be a reference to those who adhere to Replacement Theology. It makes sense to me. Revelation 3:9 says, ” Indeed, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and ARE NOT, BUT LIE – indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you” (NKJV). I know many so-called Christians today who think they have replaced Israel, that they are the true Jews. They forget that they have been grafted in. Many of these same “Christians” think that the nation of Israel has no right to exist and will promote the so-called Palestinian state. They better look at the scripture and think twice before they claim to be the true Jews! The scripture says they are not. They lie. One of the first things that happened to me when I became born-again was I immediately had an intense love for the Jewish people. I pray daily for the Messianic Congregations springing up around the world and in Israel. These are a first fruit of what is to come. I long for the day when the whole nation of Israel says “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord”. It is coming. Every Jew alive when Jesus touches His foot to the Mount of Olives at His second coming will be saved and we (the bride of Christ) will be there to see it! Praise the Lord!!

Strongly agree but one slight/significant correction: Every Jew alive who acknowledges that Jesus was and is the fulfillment of the Torah’s laws. I don’t think that will be a difficult sell however once they see Him in His glory.

LA, please forgive my typos…
Keep your eye on the ever growing number of liberal minded peace activists and appeasement groups from within Israel’s own borders who hold public rallys for peace at all costs, even pushing the land for peace ideas which are false hope in reality. Most folks in these peace rallys are young Israelis who think that by giving up land and parts of Jerusalem in exchange for peace promises from arab muslims will solve their problems but it will not. Many Arab Muslims are persistant truce breakers, taking, taking and rarely ever giving…peace. Peace to arab muslims means surrendering their ideals so they will never do it and never honor such treatys.
When Anti christ makes his appearence and brokers a peace treaty between Israel and her arab enemies, it will probably happen after the Gog Magog War because the war will be such a bloodbath it will leave the Israelis desiring peace at almost any cost, to a level not yet seen in that land.
You and I know God will defeat Israel’s enemies in the Gog magog War but will God use the arsenal of the US and Nato to that end, militarily speaking? Will Israel be blind to the truth of just who saves them in the Gog Magog War and assume it was their own military might and perhaps the military assistance of the US and Nato?
Is it possible Israel will not realize it was God’s power that aided them and in their failure to realize that, they give credit to the wrong person for winning that war, perhaps a politician, either their own prime minister or the US president or the EU president or all three? But one of those men will then have Israle sign a peace treaty with the arab nations who will lose much of their armies and that man will have to be the antichrist it seems.
Seems there will be a period of time, a few years AFTER the Gog Magog War when Israel will have a temporary peace while Russia and China regroup whatever remaining arab nations in the mideast who’d still like to wipe Israel off the map, despite the peace treaty that will be signed after Gog Magog.
And then the Battle of Armageddon occurs after many judgements, seals and bowls of plagues, famine, disasters, devils becoming free to work evil upon evil. LA, what of the four deadly and evil angels that have been chained to the bottom of the River Euphrates all these eons of time? So evil are they, God condemned them to be imprisoned in a watery grave in that great river that spans Iraq and Turkey? LA, have you thought of going there to see if there is any evidence of these wicked angels at the bottom of that river? Can you hire sonar equipped boats with dep sea imaging equipment with hi tech video and audio devices? How about using Satelite mapping capabilities toward that end?
Is there a part of the Euphrates River that has been a deadly zone like the Bermuda Triangle with many accidents, deaths, disappearences, drownings, strange occurences? Have you googled anything about such possibilities? Could a dive team find anything abnormal about that river? An d don’t forget, LA, the book of Revelation says that the Kings of the East will march a one million man army through the Euphrates River and the nation of Turkey built a huge dam in that river so that the river could part like the Red Sea and be dry enough for huge military divisions to march thru.
Could the four evil angels John warned us about in Revelation be located near that Turkish dam? When God allows those 4 angels their freedom, they will wreck havoc on mankind and kill one fourth of the world’s population, probably by inspiring political leaders to launch nukes against one another. Will these 4 angels be so wicked and hate mankind so much in their service to satan that they will use their telepathic powers to manipulate the minds of world leaders and military officers? Apparently. Can you find evidence, LA, of the existence of the reality of these 4 angels now before they are loosed from their watery prison to show the world and perhaps get people interested in reading Revelation? The truth is out there. John

Br Eric, It could be said that anti-Semitism is Anti-Zionism…….
The fact of the matter is that the Pharisaical Talmud is an antichrist perversion of the Torah from which the foundation of the prophets and the Apostles derive as the foundation of the Church.
This satanic literature exists and it is used by the modern rabbi to discredit Our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ and His atoning work..

I don’t come here very often anymore because I completely disagree with the local consensus on Iran. It scares me. I’m not going to be disruptive, and I have no interest in arguing or trolling. What I do want to do is offer information you might all be unaware of, because although I disagree STRONGLY with this Iran-War push, I’m sure you all mean well and would be horrified to realize the truth.
Check out these 2 videos please. One is of Bush’s own Pentagon General admitting that plans to invade iran have been on paper since at least 9/11. It was always a coordinated effort to destabilize the entire Middle east, by a laundry list. The Pentagon report was literally called “The Road to Persia”.
The 2nd video is a history of government false flags and corporate media war-consent lies. Neither are disrespectful, vulgar, etc. I genuinely want you guys to wake up and see past the government war-mongering. Your religious and national loyalties are being used against you…again. I guess you could erase the videos, and ban me. but what does truth fear from good-faith information? Please watch-

i don’t see anyone here as war mongering. i see people relegated to the fact that israel cannot sit by watching ineffectual sanctions waste their time while iran creates nukes. they have to act before iran goes completely undergroung. they will nuke/emp them very soon for their own saftey(gog-magog). that will trigger germany and america to be nuked. game over!!! that’s why america has all these underground facilities.

That’s fine. I didn’t say you were “war mongering”, I said the government was war mongering. It’s amazing how you completely ignored the information I just posted. Any reaction or counter argument to the actual information?

I’d also be very curious for Mr. Marzulli’s opinion on this footage. See, I know he’s no button-down vanilla corporate Christian, he’s a genuinely spiritual individual and teacher, and I know from listening to him speak, that he’s well-verseed in conspiracy fact and the occult; which is why I’m so puzzled that he seems to completely ignore the fact that our government keeps lying us into wars, and I’m curious (puzzled) why he thinks Iran is any different. I understand the Biblical significance, but I feel like this prophecy-expectation is blinding this group to a manipulated Neo-Con perspective. I don’t mean to insult anyone, that’s just my perspective. If anyone can offer a viable counter-argument, I’m open. But right now, it just looks like our G is (again) lying us into more war profiteering. They’ve used the dialectic and taken advantage of the people who know what Obama is, but assume the “Republicans” are any different, just BC they disagree with Obama. They play both sides, and I can’t help but suspect LA knows this. I just don’t get how he -or any of the genuine conservatives, as opposed to the Neo-Con liars) would buy this. Again, if anyone feels like they can competently counter-argue these videos, or produce documented proof to refute them, I’d like to see it. Cheers.-
