Anyone over the age of 30 should get that campaign promises and politics are usually lies and false witness. Watch what politicians do, not what they say.
The US two party system enacted and kept legalized abortion year after year. Just as they’ve done with promoting a slave class of illegal aliens and a black market in recreational drug use and massive arms sales world wide.
As citizens of another nation (the Kingdom of Heaven), who are soldiers and ambassadors of the only nation that can never fall, there’s only one good place for our loyalty and patriotism. If you truly believe that your allegiance is to Christ and not the passing kingdoms of this world — then you also get it that it’s best to remain neutral in supporting political parties. Or siding with one fallen nation over another.
Don’t get “guilted” into compromise.

No one is arguing that.
Right off the bat why is prayer seemingly undervalued in a lot of these discussions?
Frankly if I were force to make a choice between these two things and couldn’t cheat and pick both here’s what I’d pick:
I’d rather have 12 Godly Christians hitting the nuclear prayer and seeing where that goes vs those same 12 Christina in the voting booth if I had to make an either/or choice and couldn’t pick both.
If you do both and feel led to do that, great. So much the better.
If you don’t feel led to hit the voting booth guess what? That’s ok, too.
If you have a peace with the Lord about wherever you’re at on this subject that’s ALL that matters and don’t pay attention to anyone that says otherwise.
I’m sick and tired of this arguing. It hasn’t been worth the discord between Christians that I’ve seen.

I’m getting sick and tired of this “If you’re aren’t some secular political activist” it somehow reflects negatively on someone as a Christian implication or outright stating in some cases and I’m publicly urging people that see it to shoot it down with extreme prejudice.
I’m sorry to break it to some of you but the Republican Party is not the extension of the Church. Neither is the Democratic Party, either. NO political party is and if you believe otherwise, God help you.

STOP THE ARGUING. STOP THE FIGHTING. It’s a horrible public witness and doesn’t get people saved nor does secular politics.

I really appreciate your attitude on 501c. The govt ties your hands, or tongue so to speak.
I don’t deduct my tithes or charitable contributions as its none of the govt’s business who I give to.
As for voting, we live in a fallen world governed by fallen people and lies and broken promises are part and parcel of the process.
As for who will better serve us in the White House, a Mormon or a Muslim. The Muslim hates us and the Mormon is pro life. Neither candidate is a first choice but one or the other will sit in the Oval Office and direct the USA as we go further into the night.

Lets get it straight in our minds. We’re not voting for a Pastor to lead our church, we’re voting for someone who will run this country. Can everybody see the difference? Someone who has business sense AND morals would be qualified. Someone who won’t rob the store when we’re not looking like Obama has. Just about every religion in America is appalled at Obama’s behavior and the leftist takeover he represents and they are fighting back. Except some Christians. The catholics are suing. No rapture bashing going on here, Eric. But I must say, that I have witnessed first hand the mindset of many christians who simply have no fight left in them as they resign themselves to getting out of here before it gets too uncomfortable. This isn’t bashing the rapture, but recognising what is happening to a portion of the church, who have become lazy, and leave major decisions for unbelievers to make for them. They don’t even bother praying for America anymore, but only their own family.
We are still free. We can still vote. We still matter, but when other countries would give anything for the privledge to vote, many christians think its a trivial matter, because they won’t be here anyway, and will throw their vote away.Whether you choose to believe it or not, this mindset is spreading throughout the church.

I think it is also important to realize that it is not just the president we are voting for, but everyone he will bring in to office with him. So while you mentioned that the GOP is not an extension of the church, it would certainly yield a higher number of Christians in the white house if Romney were president. Who knows what change that could make. I agree, it isn’t about republican vs. democrat, its about making a choice that most closely alligns with scripture. One direction makes me fear more for my rights, like freedom of religion, because freedom of worship isn’t going to cut it. When I look at it from a secular and religious view point, it seems obvious that one is out for the destruction of our country, our wealth, our rights. We can see that from his record. As bad as Romney may be, as controlled by other people as he may be, he is still an immensely better choice.

No Eric. I don’t “like” to argue. Believe me, there are a million different things I would rather be doing right now, but I feel this is so important, that its worth the time. There is a purpose to the “arguing” I do. I’m hoping to change your mind. In this election, every single vote will matter. Will you at least agree that there is a distinct difference between the two parties, in that one party is for death (abortions) and the other is for life? If that was the only difference there was, which party is closer to our Christian values then? We can’t ignore these differences Eric, they are huge. Especially in the spiritual realm, where the overall sin of the country can result in hindering the freeflow of prayer. Shouldn’t we all get behind the party who has Not arrogantly rejected God, and like Billy Graham do anything we can to help them? Yes, we are all praying. But praying for what? For this evil administration to be toppled, and for a new direction for the country. From the party of death towards life, so we can freely go about our work for the Lord, unhindered, still keeping our enviable religious freedom.

Perhaps in the end, it was best for voters to be able to clearly witness the demeanor differences between the two candidates as they responded to being under stress. Seems the only thing Biden didn’t do last night was burp loudly. The one explanation I can come up with for Biden’s behavior is his hair plugs have destroyed his brain. Aside from that, the only big winner in the debate was Joe Biden’s dentist.

I didn’t sleep well last night, if at all. The condescending attitude of Joe Biden, is something I can’t shake. Think about it, this is what Netanyahu has been up against for 4 years. That same condescending, disrespectful attitude. Thats what we’ve all been struggling against with this lawless administration. Look at what Joe Biden stressed last night. He was trying to scare his base. He said if Romney is elected, he will appoint supreme court justices that are so far right they may overturn Roe vs Wade. You all, isn’t that what we want? Certainly, although accusing people of believing lies and left wing talking points is getting personal. Do be more careful with your choice of words, please?

Voting is one action, certainly. But aren’t there plenty of other actions people can/should take as well? It isn’t “all or nothing” on voting is it? I don’t think so.

I’m going to vote. I may even vote for Romney.
If I do, it isn’t going to be for any other reason than I decide to vote for the businessman. That’s the ONLY area I actually know he’s telling the truth on consistently without ANY doubt.
I have no doubts that Romney is going to be another George Bush neocon RINO at best. Take it FWIW. I think anyone with higher expectations than that is setting themselves up for needless disappointment. Is it better than Obama? Sure, I guess. Better window dressing anyways. I won’t mind not feeling the urge to get violent every time I turn the TV on. Maybe it’ll look and sound a little less like North Korea with Dear Leader on all the time.
I know we’re headed to one world government and economy no matter what because that’s what the Bible says and it’s because it’s right in our face. We’re “almost” there.

Go look up for yourself the names of the folks in the Trilateralist Commission, Bilderbergers, and CFR and look over those records over just since 9-11 just to keep it simple. No kook sites involved, either.
After you’ve looked that over and taken it all in…then you try and tell me with a straight face how much it all REALLY matters in the scheme of the big picture.
Chart the course of this country across the boards for the last several decades. Pick your topic. You can’t just blame it all on Democrats and call it a day. It just doesn’t work.
We can’t legislate morality, either. The Millenial kingdom will be the extreme, final proof of that. Legislating morality never has and never will work.

Let expand my thoughts. After reading some of the post, I thought, ‘Did God himself come down from heaven and land on this page and pass out judgement? Why am I still here?!” It was not a far leap after seeing all the narcissistic, self-righteous, puffed up, chest beating talk. My main point was, we live in a sinful world. Even Jesus said ‘render unto Caesar what is his’, and I think it goes far beyond just paying taxes. If one is going to equate hiring a man to oversee our earthly government to seeking out a spiritual leader, then it must be imposed in every single transaction we take day to day. How many of us plop our butts down at a business, and say’ oh, by the way, are you a Christian? You see, I cannot hire you for a service, weather it be buying a car, food, cloths, power, water, tv, phone, and, aww yes, internet service. You see, if I hire you and you are not a Christian, it’s the same as endorsing your believe’s and you will disseminate the money I pay you with to further your cause”. We ALL sin, intended or not. We make choices by weighing the best info we can get. Weather it is buying things we do not need, instead of giving it to the poor, or going on vacation, the movies, or fishing, instead of seeking out the hungry, cold, abused children, I could go on and on. God will forgive, and only God, if confessed and repented of. If I vote for the wrong person, God will forgive that sin, it is washed away forever, never to be brought up again. That’s not to say there will be no earth bound fall out from my choice, but I will not take it with me to heaven.
All of us who say, “I AM AGAINST ABORTION!”, how many volunteer your TIME to go the the gates of the abortion clinics, not to hold up signs of hate and damnation, but take the hand of the heart broken girl who finds herself there, and say, ” Let me help you, I will help you through this pregnancy, help you keep the child, or find a loving family in need of a child, you will not have to do this alone”. When God asks, “WHERE WERE YOU WHEN…..”, ‘sorry God, my son had little league, it was my day off, I was tired. No, really, I just stood by and watched.” We are known to God not only by our faith and words alone, but our DEEDS.
How many of us pick up the phone, and it takes TIME, and call our politicians to let them know how you want them to represent you? Write a letter, for the most part, they do listen, it plants a seed in their conscience. And if we make a poor choice, fire them next go round. They work for you, but if we are absent, poor bosses, we have no right to complain when the employee burns down the business. Every single person has the free will to make the choice you find is right in your own heart. We just must be sure we are listening to God’s voice and not our own.
You see, I know I WAS THERE, at the CROSS. Every little sin I had not yet committed, was there. Pounding each nail into the hands and feet of the One, who was paying my ransom. I continued to crucify my Lord, spearing His side. Laughing, mocking, arrogant in my thoughts, damming others to hell for lesser things than I have done.
With all the evil I have done to Him, He stood firm and victorious, still waiting for me. I found Him, again. And He is for ALL who find Him.
My God is my judge, he needs no earthy man’s input.
I am not as ‘articulate’ as most of you here, but there it is.

It doesn’t say we’re to sit home and complain about it, if its within our power to do something. It says Fight! Since we know that abortions are not Gods will, we know that Jesus would absolutely disapprove. Would Jesus want us to “fight” for the rights of the defenceless unborn too? Are they as important to Him, as the poor and needy? Yes. But How can we fight for them? Also we can vote for men who want that to happen too and help them obtain that power so they can stop abortions, or at least slow it all down, legally. MRomney will defund planned parenthood, right away. Precisely because of our vote he will obtain power to do what we couldn’t. He will also be in a position to appoint supreme court justices who are prolife, who will also work hard to protect the rights of the unborn, and maybe even reverse Roe vs Wade. We think we can’t do anything, but thats a lie. We can pray and we can vote for people who share our values, and once they get the power, they will do the rest. Thats so much better than sitting home and worrying and complaining as if we are powerless. There is still place for the individual in America . We are still able to make a difference.

Yes, I will vote because of the abortion issue, same sex marriage, and religious freedom etc. But after the revelation I received, you know what will motivate me to go out and vote, the most? How dare they, belittle the Living God?! They insulted Him, denying Him the right to share their platform and I will vote against the party that did that. He’s God our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things, they have offended! They don’t deserve the right to the power He allowed them to have. They have insulted Him. When I vote, I am consciously voting for the Republican party to topple this arrogant Democratic Party who teach people sinful ways and seek to make them laws. Their boasting and arrogance and mocking and laughing, remind me of Goliath and the Philistines. They arrogantly denyed and insulted our God and thought nothing of it. This is huge! I am voting for Romney, because he has the least distance to travel, compared to Obama, to return to the Lord and be a genuine true leader, IF GOD WILLS THAT. It is in God’s hands to change his heart.

Think very left wing, extremely biased TV “Journalist” on the ABC , the Australian Broadcasting Commission , a completely Taxpayer funded Media Company. I’m not agreeing with the Mormons. They are not Christians.
