Sunday  Go to Meeting Bun!

by

L. A. Marzulli

2Ti 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

There is a lot that is going on in this world.  We are on the verge of an economic collapse in Europe.  The Arab Spring is becoming the Arab winter of discontent.  Earthquakes continue as with the 6.5 in Mexico yesterday.  A blood red, eclipsing, moon may hold a portend of coming war, in the Middle East.   These are just a few of the topics that I cover on this BLOG on a daily basis.  It can become overwhelming.  Yet, we are told by Yashua/Jesus that when we see these things begin to happen we are to look up, because our redemption/salvation/rescue, is on the way.

We should never embrace fear.  As a friend of mine Gary, once told me, fear is the currency of hell and faith the currency of heaven.  They are in fact mutually exclusive of one another.  So when we look at what is going on all around us, the chaos, uncertainty, rumors of war, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic activity, we should not be fearful, because we know that these are the signs of His coming.  Of course the natural man or women does not have this reassurance and so they have little choice except to live in fear, or ignore the gathering storm altogether.

But there is more to this one simple line of scripture written almost 2000 years ago.  We are to walk in power.  That power comes from the Spirit of the Living God.  We do nothing to earn it nor can we manipulate it in any way.  It’s ours for the asking when we need it in times like these.  It is the power of the living God that is reflected in the gifts of the spirit that we are told are available to the believer.   We are to walk in those gifts and when a situation arises we should ask for the gift that we need to bring His victory into the situation.  In short, its supernatural gifting that we need in times like the ones in which we find ourselves.  We can have peace that passes understanding, in human terms, as we walk through the chaos that surrounds us.  That peace can only come from the Prince of peace, Jesus.

The hallmark of the early Christian church was the love that they had for one another.   The ancient world had to invent a new word for it and it is the Greek word Agape.   It is the fruit of being born from above into the Kingdom of the living God.   To have His spirit reside in us.   To have ongoing fellowship with the savior of our souls.   Again, we cannot produce agape love, only He can and He does so as we walk with Him.

FInally, we are told that we have a sound mind.   A mind that is not clouded in fear or uncertainty.  A mind that is renewed with the daily washing of the word.  A mind that can discern the things of the spirit, that is steadfast in the knowledge of Yashua the anointed one.

In closing today’s Bun:  These are uncertain times, fraught with turbulence and tumult.  We would do well to memorize this verse and put it in our quiver of “arrows” to shoot back at the accuser when we become overwhelmed by the news of the day.

    “Agape.” Definitely!

    1st John 3

13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

i know this isn’t normally a sports oriented blog but i just have to say what an impressive young man tim tebow is.
he certainly lives up to these verses esp. 23-24. he led the broncos to another end of game victory.
similar to the scenario l.a. likes to give about the high school quarteback and the cheerleader. at the interview
post game tebow when asked what makes him so special his first response was “i first want to thank my Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST.” on national tv!!!
you never hear that from any high profile celeb. You might get a general reference to God but Jesus Christ you never hear. verboten mein herr!

      HATS OF TO TIM TEBOW!
And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.

    • Hey Mark- I had no clue who he was and did a wiki lookup. Just his birth was a testimony of God’s grace.

“Tebow was born in Makati City in the Philippines, to American parents who were serving as Christian Baptist missionaries at the time. His mother, Pamela Elaine (née Pemberton), is the daughter of a U.S. Army colonel, and his father, Robert Ramsey Tebow II, is a pastor. While pregnant, his mother suffered a life-threatening infection with a pathogenic amoeba. Because of the drugs used to rouse her from a coma and to treat her dysentery, the fetus experienced a severe placental abruption. Doctors had expected a stillbirth and recommended an abortion to protect her life,[1] although abortions are illegal in the Philippines, but she remained undaunted and refused having an abortion.”

Great bun! It is so spot on!
I know that I feel dread for those who just won’t seem to wake up but even though I personally have trials and suffer, I am still eager for it all to be done and get on with eternity with my Savior!
It just makes me sad that He will not have every beloved creation with Him when it is all said and done. I sometimes just stare at those who roll their eyes at me and think, every cell in that arguing tongue, every synapse firing in that stubborn and prideful mind, every molecule in that rolling eye, every atom in the universe that you are a part of “Why can’t you see what a miracle of creation you are?”……”How can you not believe and love Him just a bit as much as He loves you?”

    • Nate Shenk said

Exactly how I feel! Spot on. I simply don’t understand how people can, not only deny the love of God, but also be able to live in this frightening world without his comfort. I feel sorry for them. One day they will see the truth…hopefully it won’t be too late.

As Ken Ham teaches, We must restore the biblical foundation of Genesis. He classifies the non-believer peoples into two groups. Group one would be the gentile Atheists. The other group is Orthodox Jews, who haven’t accepted Christ.

The Jews have their biblical foundation in Geneisis. The gentiles do not.

Somebody said that Truth Passes thru 3 stages:

    First, it is ridiculed.

    Second: It is violently opposed.

Third: It is accepted as Self-Evident.

    • nomemoleste said

Are you looking for answers in Genesis? …or The Truth?

Considering your “metes and bounds” observation earlier,” you may find this of interest:

      Deuteronomy 32
7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Mike Heiser has dealt with Deu. 32 somewhere in the “Divine Council” studies. And links it back to Genesis 10; especially,

      Genesis 10
5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

Dr. Heiser writes quite a lot about nephilim…. And takes particular delight in debunking certain ancient astronaut theorists.

    • Oh goody. I guess its on to stage two for me. How do you prep yourself for that?

Somewhere God wrote about those that worshipped the Creation, moreso than the Creator…ok…and He would turn them over to have a reprobate mind.

    • Elaine said

so true…..I have several “friends” who keep trying to foist their new age stuff on me but every time I tell them that that same pride of self is the hiss of the serpent that made Adam and Eve fall and they better get some humility and give the glory to God…..they kinda go away for a while but keep coming back! I guess my job is just to keep saying it and the Lord’s in charge of smacking them upside the prideful head until they get it?

Wow, L.A., what a timely, anointed word. Isaiah 60:2–“For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.” We are called to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, for the kingdom of God is not in words, but in power. We are called to walk in love, because that proves we are His, and it conquers all. We are to have self-disciplined, sound minds, not troubled, ruffled or deceived. Then His glory is appearing on us as the darkness covers the world. Amen. Let us rely on the Holy Spirit alone; as we have received Christ (flinging ourselves upon Him by faith), so let us walk in Him. Grant it, Father!

L.A., you were on FIRE on the Prophecy in the News show! I was so proud of you! Great job!

    “Canada’s Interfaith Christmas,” OnIslam & News Agencies, 12-11-2011 15:43

    quote:
“We love Christmas,” Raheel Raza, a Muslim interfaith diversity consultant and author, told CTV Toronto on Sunday, December 11.

“One doesn’t have to get into it from a religious perspective, but from a cultural perspective, it’s wonderful.”

Since moving from Pakistan, Raza has become a passionate advocate for cultural and religious diversity, embracing several Canadian traditions.

Now, she waits every year’s Christmas to decorate reindeer figurines with menorah antlers, spray-paint dried bagels to use as ornaments on a Christmas tree, or stuff turkeys with Jollof rice.

Now I am thinking about Michael Ansara playing Cochise back in the 50s or 60s! He was an American actor of Syrian descent but all of America thought of him as Native American (before any body said “native American” LOL) but just because people thought it doesn’t ever make it so!
The whole interfaith “chrislam” thing is like children playing with toys and not anything to really do with faith…..it is a shallow game! Much like the naive new agers making up rainbow and fairy tale scenarios about being their own creator! I am sorry but being from a theater background, I think they have inflated egos and too willing a suspension of disbelief. Kinda like some kids play with barbie dolls and remember playing with Barbie dolls but some remember playing with Barbie dolls and think that they grew up to be Barbie!

Survivor Producer to Make Reality TV Show with Joel Osteen

HOUSTON – The pastor of the world’s largest church, Lakewood Church based in Houston, could soon be coming to primetime network television. Joel Osteen is in talks for a reality show that would also star members of the congregation.
Osteen told FOX 26 Monday night he’s signed an agreement to work with “Survivor” producer Mark Burnett. He won’t necessarily be preaching on the show but instead sharing a message of hope while helping others.
Each week 43,000 people show up to hear Osteen preach, while another 10 million watch on television worldwide.

  11. Praise be to God for this Bun. I have appreciated many of the past spirit filled messages of our good servant L.A., but this one hits it out of the park when everything around us tells us to be fearful and the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ gives us comfort. Fear and faith ARE mutually exclusive. Keep up the good fight for Satan opposes you and the Will of God works through you.

4 questions LA after watching Watchers 3 DVD:

1)Who put the chips in the people that Dr. Leir removed?
2)How did those people know the chips were in their bodies? The video said the area around the chips produced no redness or swelling that would indicate a foreign object.
3)How long did each person indicate they thought the objects were in their bodies or did they know.
4)Did these people believe their behavior or thought processes changed in anyway?

MM: 1)Who put the chips in the people that Dr. Leir removed? I believe Fallen Angels did this, not ET.
2)How did those people know the chips were in their bodies? The video said the area around the chips produced no redness or swelling that would indicate a foreign object. These folks knew that they had been abducted and remembered the experience.
3)How long did each person indicate they thought the objects were in their bodies or did they know. it varied from case to case…
4)Did these people believe their behavior or thought processes changed in anyway?
I don’t have the answer to that… sorry

  13. We are in a very unique timeline of the Church and will be part of and see amazing things.

I was looking to buy the Courageous movie for Christmas gifts and stumbled upon another movie coming out called JERUSALEM COUNTDOWN. The trailer on YouTube got me excited as it begins with the rapture of the believers. The CG looked awesome as balls of light went shooting into the sky.

Keep looking up, Jesus is coming soon!

  14. Good message.
