Mayans never predicted world to end in 2012: experts
“We have to be clear about this. There is no prophecy for 2012,” said Erik Velasquez, an etchings specialist at the the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). “It’s a marketing fallacy.”
When Richard Shaw and I were on location shooting a scene for Watchers 2, we ran into a couple of surfers. They asked us what we were doing and I told them that we were filming a series called, The Watchers! They asked what it was about and I replied that this one dealt with, Signs in the Heavens and Earth. One of the two piped up and asked, “like that Nostradamus guy on TV?” The other dude joined him and added, “Yea, like the Mayan 2012 stuff, right?”
I turned to Richard and said, You see, they’ve all been initiated into the “lie!”
2012 has become a cottage industry of books, DVDs, movies, and countless discussions on talk shows. I am often asked what I think will happen in 2012 and my answer is this, 2012, is a deliberate obfuscation and is a red herring. In other words, the New Ager’s, Spiritualist, Mayan Elders, those looking for “Ascension,” and a host of others who have hyped this date, is at best, a paradigm shift in human consciousness or at worst, a pole shift and the end of the world as we know it.
In The Cosmic Chess Match, I delve into 2012 and posit the question, why should we trust any information coming from a culture that participated in ritualistic, human sacrifice? Where did the Mayan, who didn’t have knowledge of the wheel, come up with a sophisticated calendar that was more accurate than ours until the modern era? May I suggest that the Fallen Angels, who as The Book of Enoch states told men the secrets of heaven, may have been responsible for this. They did the same thing before in Genesis 6, so why not in the Americas? What’s stopping Fallen Angels from manifesting again as ‘gods’?
Who was Quetzalcoatl, the plumed SERPENT god? I have been told, I believe by Stan Deyo, that when the Mayan’s are asked where they got the calendar from they point upward and say, from the sky gods. This fits nicely into what the History Channel is promulgating with their Ancient Alien series. It’s a set up for the Coming Great Deception. In other words ET will take credit for the Mayan Calendar, just like we see in the movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
In closing Todays Post: The Mayan 2012 date has steered the dialogue away from Biblical prophecy. In other words it has obfuscated what is really happening right in front of our eyes. More people know about the so-called Mayan 2012, end of the world scenario, then they do about Ezekiel 38! So what will happen on December 21, 2012. Nothing, it will be just another day. However what we might see in the coming months of 2012. is the Middle East erupt into WWIII. I also believe that we will see the continuation of wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilence, earthquakes in diverse place, and troublesome times. We are in the birth pains as even secular news agencies are perplexed at all the destruction from the tornado’s, flooding, volcanic activity, and earthquakes. If you want to know what is really happening, keep your eyes on Israel and the Middle East. It’s the time of Jacob’s Trouble, not Bob, Fred or Ernie’s, or the Mayan Elders….

BO celebrated Hanakuh last night. And they lit all the lights at once, an obvious no-no. It doesn’t start until December 20. Why? Is it because he’ll plan on being in Hawaii on Dec 17, or is it something bigger? Is it to fulfill Daniel 7:25? Understand this point, and I thank Patrick Heron for solidifying this fact: the beast from the bottomless pit is the one who will torment the men of the earth for 5 months. Not sure who Chet is but you must stick with him and be sure he knows that his Savior is actually there to save him from himself as well as from the dark powers and Christ will help him but he must calm down and listen for Him….get him reading scripture….anything in red letter and especially the beatitudes!

I trust in the God of hope.

I personally like those shows on the history channel about U.R.O’s and Aliens stuff…But, when they bring in a clergyperson, they really “spin it” to discount or twist the True Scriptures…
We must all realize that God’s calendar is True…which I personally believe is that the Jewish Calendar, that He gave to the Israelites; is the one that counts.
Just as Jesus died on the Jewish Holy Day of Passover, acdg to the Jewish Calendar. Then, the Holy Spirit was given on the Jewish Holy Day of Pentecost…So, looks like a plan to me.
We don’t know when the rapture happens, but; I would to guess that it happens at the Jewish Time of the 1st Harvest.
OR: of course, or: Maybe Jesus was the lst Harvest, and we would be the 2nd Harvest – people group.
The Hopi Indians seemed to have been much, much more spiritual than the Mayan peoples. I’d like to see their calendar.

a little over 3 years ago in better financial times, my son took me on a cruise and while in Cozumel we had a very nice tour guide who was asked by one of our group, “What will happen after 12/21/2012?” and he chuckled and said slowly, “I am of Mayan descent and we believe that the day after will be……December 22nd”

I don’t know what is going to happen in 2012 but there are many people in the world who do fully believe that something is just around the corner. Tom Horn did an interesting study that talks about how it wasn’t just the Mayans who predicted doomsday in 2012.
Hindus, the I Ching, Jewish mystics, [the Zohar, kaballah], even the Catholic mystic St Malachi all predicted major events. When you add all that stuff to what the new age Luciferians are believing and the Islamic messiah that the Iranians are praying for and you have the recipe for a self fulfilled disaster taking place. I agree with LA that we are in the birth pangs so I will not be surprised if the situation gets more dire by the day. Satan is the price of the power of the air and I believe he influenced all those different people I mentioned. The power elite who are all followers of Satan I believe are just dying for WW111 to begin and mass chaos to wipe out 80% of the population. They need to preserve mother gaia you know and get rid of all the useless eaters. I only believe that Biblical
prophesy will be fulfilled as all other predictions come from the enemy. I also agree with LA that all this other stuff is a distraction. It is Israel that we need to be watching for prophesy to be fulfilled.

I’m not worried about 2012 from a Mayan perspective but from a natural disaster and global economonic meltdown perspective.
NASA is predicting enormous solar flares; our weather patterns have gone extreme; tectonic plate movement is at an all time high; volcanic activity is throught the roof and there is evidence of pole shifts.
Not to mention the world is financed beyond capacity. The EU needs 120 billion to just survive. Italy and Spain have no business industry. So even if they pay their debt where will future tax money come from? Every country in the world is broke outside of Saudi Arabia, Germany and Russia. Yes China is broke and mortgaged to the hilt.
We are heading towards a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT within three years.
It almost seems to me as if the four horsemen are either riding or prepairing to ride.

The thing is there is much more to 2012 than just the mayan calendar. Yes, the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 but so does the Chinese i-ching. But it’s not about the end of the world it’s about the return of the Titans (aka Nephilim). Clearly the watchers lived on earth with man and greatly influenced history. These “gods” came to be known by names such as Zeus, Apollo (Apollyon), Hermes and Poseidon. Their offspring, known as Nephilim, were the demi-gods who came to be known by names such as Atlas, Hercules, Gilgamesh, Osiris and Isis. Half man, half “god”.
At some point they all disappeared but the book of Enoch tells us that the Nephilim were to be buried in the earth for 4,900 years until the consummation. The book was written approximately 4,900 years ago.
The Mayan artifact “Monument 6″ actually predicts the return of their “god” Bolon Yokte K’u in 2012. He was the underworld Lord. Just as Osiris. Osoris also promised to return one day. The Cherokee Rattlesnake prophecies predict the return of their god as well.
It’s not about the end of the earth. It’s about the return of the Nephilim. As much as Hollywood has made a mockery of 2012, as Christians we should be better informed and know not to take this stuff lightly or dismiss it outright simply because Hollywood’s got it wrong.
Do the Nephilim stay buried until the day of judgment, or will they roam the earth for a while right before the end? Only God knows, but personally I would be surprised if 2012 came and went without anything out of the ordinary taking place.

I agree 100% with L.A. that this date irrelevant in regard to God’s plan and biblical prophecy. What is December 21, 2012? The world’s longest, most telegraphed punch to the jaw ever.

If I may add something. There are 2 other theories about 12/21/2012. Even if WE don’t believe it, there are those that do and are willing to “make it happen”, like the gov’t for example.
Also there are those that believe the Nephilim built the South American pyramids (like the Egyptian and Cambodian), and they had knowledge we don’t.

Oh, I believe in that date… but it is a demonically inspired and manufactured date. It has nothing to do with genuine salvation or God’s plan. For me personally, that date will not be uneventful, but it will be irrelevant.

Got it, thanx. It seems the Nephilim didn’t tell their worshipers about it. They may not have known the date. Maybe they didn’t WANT them to survive, so they didn’t tell them. So this 12/21/12 thing may be a red herring.The Nephilim hate people (which is why their modern sacrifice to Molech is abortion), so I don’t think they want people to be prepared. I however believe that the Middle East War w/ Syria (Edom) will happen first (soon even?), THEN the US will be hit by Nibiru/Planet X.

Well, I’ve often thought what if God permitted Satan to allow a “prophecy” come true that people are promoting? Wouldn’t Satan think that he was actually getting the upper hand and winning? What if God allows some prediction or presage to come to pass? People promoting it would be wide eyed and credulous.

Vincent – The Nephilim we NOT bound for 70 generations, just the fallen angels that participated in the corruption of the gene pool. This means that other angels could have come and done the same abominations – and also afterward as Gen 6 spells out loud and clear – as there is nothing that would tell us otherwise other than personal interpretation….
