I’ve chosen this clip by Congressman Ron Paul because he is on the inside of the belly of the beast, that is our Federal government in Washington. In this clip Ron Paul discusses the coming economic and social chaos, echoing some of what I discussed in the BLOG yesterday. (Scroll down to read yesterday’s post.) Paul also calls for removal of the Federal Reserve, which is the real source of our manipulated economic woes, crony capitalism, with its billion dollar bail outs, removing the 900 military bases that we have world-wide – what if the Russians or the Chinese had this many? Paul also calls for the reigning in of the CIA and the military industrial complex and finally cutting the income tax. Paul has my vote. However, he’s also in grave danger, like JFK before him who shortly before he was gunned down on the streets of Dallas, proposed many of the same changes.
This is a county that is no longer governed by the people. Our country was hijacked by International bankers in 1913 and continues to be controlled by them today. Combined with the Military/Industrial complex, that President Eisenhower warned us about as he left office, this has led to an American hegemony with illegal wars and who knows how many assassinations. Paul will shake things up if he is elected. He will bring about the change and the correction that this country needs. He is a staunch believer in the Constitution. However, most likely he will never get a chance to implement these changes and if by some wild stroke of fate he does, he faces the same dark cabal that killed Kennedy. If he gets to close to the reigns of power he may , in my opinion, meet the same fate. God help us….

I’m a Ron Paul fan too and he gets my vote. Everything you said is true, especially the threat on his life if he were to get elected. Thank God he has a mirror image of himself in his son in the senate. Sadly though he said he would cut Israel’s annual funds that the United States gives Israel. Now is the time to stand with Israel not abandonded them. They are years from cashing in on their oil and or gas reserves. Until that time we need to be supportive.

Ditto! Everyone knows i’m for ron paul. I’m sure we all know, him included, what will happen if elected. This is the only person rght now that has a chance to do something for the people, everyone else is just there because of something else, not for the people, but rather themselves and their buddies to get $$.
The Israel point is the only thing that bothers me, and still keeps him way ahead of the pack. But I can see why he is doing it, fix us first before fixing someone else, get American back to where we should be proud to live here. Even though half the people think this countrys gov’t stinks, they won’t leave because we still have a much better way of life that most of the world, and for all of this, we thank God.
I get crap for saying we need to do something about the military, how we need to limit its size, too many bases all over the world, too many people and wars that cause the defense budget to be way too big. Too small, then yes we can become defenseless, but when was the last time we were REALLY attacked by another country/ group, setting up shop and having an all out war?? ….

I’m a Ron Paul supporter too. Too bad Canadians can’t vote for him. It’s true that we need to stand by Israel, as we need to stand by all our friends, but especially those who are surrounded by enemies. The other side of the coin is the question of whether the United States or any nation should be giving money away when it can’t even afford to pay its own bills.

To be fair to Mr. Paul, he is advocating cutting ALL foreign aid. Though I am concerned as well if he means that we would not defend Israel.

that’s my concern too. is that cursing israel? not sure. netanyahu said to our congress “we don’t need your help, we can defend ourselves.” i see aid to israel as a tithe of sorts.
the principle behind tithing is to give regardless, as the poor woman who gave her last coin. then you shall be blessed based on your faith.
fix us before we can help them won’t apply. the question to me is will he help if asked? also if elected has he any congressional support?

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) – A few blocks of Highway 17 in Georgetown are closed indefinitely after a building located near a sinkhole collapsed late Thursday night.
The Frasier Street building collapsed just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday. No injuries have been reported. The building has fallen about 15 feet into the ground at Parrish Place on North Fraser Street in Georgetown.

He would bring the change we need but it’s all a political chess match. Ron will be used to steal votes and Obama will have a good chance to be re-elected. I hate to be the one to say it but Obama will get a 2nd term. It will be a close match and a recount may be needed. Then lame stream media will spin it like they do with the “race card.” But of course let the Lord’s Will be done because He is the one that allows or intervenes in these matters for His purposes and plans.

I like seeing the quote :”If you voted for obama in 2008 to prove you’re not a racist, you’ll have to vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot”. It’s har to imagine anyone revoting for this guy! But the impossible does happen. We just have to sit back an ‘relax’ , and enjoy the show

Sure, I’d like to have a Strict Constitutionalist…But I don’t think then that Ron Paul can win the lower middle class, or the minorities.
If his position is to deport any and all illegals, He would lose % of the Vote.
Because of distancing the U.S.A. from Israel…we will get a Godly Slap, worse than the negativities we are experiencing now.

Hey Steve- This article by Joel Rosenburg may interest you about how the Shai Muslims feel about Israel and US. It reveals their eschatology and how we are the “great satan”. The person I vote for will have to to deal with Iran and have a plan to protect Israel from such threats…just one of the many requirements. =)

You know LA. The timing of your commentaries tend to show up in my daily reading of the Word. Today I was led to study the Book of 1 Peter. Here’s the Text that deepened God’s Will for government and how Christians should act. Many will not like it but this was written to followers during the Roman Empire. I think we got it a little better today in the US.
“Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
