LA can speak for himself. I agree that we should pull toward reconciliation. In the language of “The Cosmic Chess Match” (pp. 278, 285 & 286), Christ’s second coming (along with the risen saints) is the game changer that clears the board for the millennial reign, which more than checkmates the antichrist’s move to sit in the temple as god. Please correct my summation if needed (anyone). I think LA would say that apostasy (as a falling away) and the rapture (as a catching out) will have already occurred by the time of Christ’s second coming.
Paddy Heron strongly asserts that apostasia (“departing”) is the same as the rapture, “http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WykNfNq12Us” pointing to “Comfort one another” and “Not appointed to wrath.” Paddy Heron needs to deal with Rev. 7:14 “…. These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Where are the great multitude at the time of R7:14? I’ll assert that they’re in New Jerusalem before the throne of God. Rev. 7:14 is clearly after Great Tribulation. Note verse 9 “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” Whether R7:14 is in: a. New Jerusalem under construction(!), b. the millennial kingdom (heaven extended to earth), or c. in the hereafter (New Jerusalem in the new earth) — is not clear — but the first part of Rev. 7 connects with the First Fruits of Rev. 14.
So you know my position… I believe in “protection” from wrath while on earth, (whether from the rebels or from God), is provided to the “Philadelphian” Christians who practice lovingkindness toward the brethren (*), having taken Christ’s instruction to heart.
It looks to me that Christians who don’t practice lovingkindness will experience tribulation (hammering, wrath) till they come out from the world and let go of the things in it.
(Rev. 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.)
Protection need not include rapture. Protection can be on earth rather than in heaven (whether 2nd or 3rd). Such as “the woman” of Rev. 12:6 and Rev. 12:14, protected in the wilderness.
Also, I believe the primary instance of the rapture comes at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, where the dead in christ (our natural bodies) rise to join again with our spiritual bodies (since God is not the God of the dead, but of the living) for those who have passed on, and vice versa for those that are alive and remain (all still in the air).
As for the “space bubbas” theory… All the wicked have to say is that the $2.5 Billion robot (“discovery, which they just launched to mars) found some possible evidence of ET — to cause a falling away by cultural christians, who really don’t believe in Christ’s grace, (As the only true Son of God, sacrificing His own incarnate body at the Cross to save us from our sins and give us eternal life with Him, overcoming hell and death to resurrect, ascend, and reign). Especially, if it takes years to send up any sort of mission to verify their claims, starting of course with “evidence of alien life.” I have no doubt that it gets to the point of “Black Awakening” and demonic invasion — but it need not start that way. All it takes is a lie.
A lie like the ancient-alien-cults push is enough to result in a falling away. Add to that an interplanetary robot (aka “discovery,” cp. transformers) controlled by godless “so called scientists” and you can guess what’s coming. Almighty God will give them over to it. We’ve already seen the mayhem that seemingly “nice people” do with genocidal mass legalized murder (abortion) of their own children, far beyond the atrocities of nazis. What I’m saying is don’t forget that satan is a slickster that uses half-truths to get people to do his will. Look what’s been done with un-verifiable theories about dark matter, dark energy, black holes, and big bangs, or supposedly million year old artifacts — that no one in this world will ever get to in this creation. It doesn’t take a real alien invasion to cause the falling away, when so many will believe in the plaster cast of the petrified fossil of an ancient alien. Or that the 666 world system is the solution to all their problems.

Very interesting video and thanks for the link. As always very informative. There was one portion of the video that I didn’t quite agree with or perhaps I am just looking at it from a different vantage point than you L.A.
You mentioned that the December 21st Mayan calendar date is a non-event, like many of the other red herrings that have come and gone. Now if I am looking at this prediction from a biblical prophecy perspective, I would agree 100%. The December 21, 2012 prediction bares little relevance to God’s plan for the return of Christ. In fact, I believe many of the prophetic events Ezekial, Isaiah as well as some of the Revelation seals will have already been put into motion prior to this date. On this, we are in agreement.
However, from a secular world view, the Mayan calendar event will be VERY significant to the world at large. In other words, this date is part of Satan’s deception. The Mayan civilization was a human sacrificing society. If ever there was a group of people vulnerable to Satan’s propaganda, it would be this group. Also, it is POP culture propaganda and conditioning that 2012 is the end of the world. This belief is too juicy for Satan to let slip away, because what this date does is foment great fear and anxiety (two powerful tools in Satan’s toolbox) on the public at large.
So what I say to people who will listen and what I believe to be true, is that 2012 is NOT the end of the world, but the entire world will believe that it is the end of the world. In this way, people of the earth are malleable to accept a false messiah, i.e. the antichrist.

Thanks LA and Doug. I’m listening to it now. What’s great about the timing of this update is that I just finished a video series of the Rapture by Chuck Missler. The more literal our hermeneutics approach is to Bible study, we’ll have a pre-trib view. I believe the key to understanding the season we are is to look at the nation of Israel which became a nation in 1948. Then connecting the dots with Ps 90:10 you can minus the Tribulation period and thus get a range of the harpazo. (http://www.douglashamp.com/the-fig-tree-has-budded)
Another clue to the timing of the Tribulation is the efforts to rebuild Iraq. YouTube search Joel Rosenberg and Glen Beck.
Another good source is Tom Horn who wrote about Apollyon 2012 and how Osiris will be reborn. This will tie into the discovery of the Tomb of Nimrod/Gilgamesh and how this could provide the DNA for Osiris or Nimrod II.

You said something I’ve been thinking for some time. 2012 is not Gods date, agreed, it’s the mayans, who were demonically influenced along with the masons who also see 2012 as a date that’s very important and may use 2012 to push their agenda.

John, agreed on use of the date to push their agenda. So, i agree with L.A. that those who focus on that date miss all of the prophetic precursors that are happening now. Fear and propaganda around this date will get everyone to fall in lock step with their one world government plans, when they see the world falling apart and they believe its the end.
