Tehran: For an Israeli attack, four Iranian missiles would hit a million Israelis

Nuclear-capable Kh-55 missile

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) new agency Fars headlined a threat Sunday, Nov. 6: Four Iranian missiles can destroy tiny Israel, said the paper in Tehran’s first reaction to the flood of conflicting reports about a possible Israel attack on Iran’s nuclear sites. However, Iran’s leaders are divided on how to assess the seriousness of an Israeli or American threat to their nuclear program and this is reflected in their various media.

The writer of the Fars story is identified by DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources as Saad-allah Zarey, its senior military commentator and a crony of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He stressed that the four missiles capable of causing the Zionist entity a million casualties would be conventional. According to those sources point that the experiences of the Gulf war show that this number of ordinary missiles could not cause anything like the damage calculated by the writer. What Zarey may be referring to are the stubborn rumors going around Western intelligence circles since early 2005 that during the breakup of the Soviet Union, Tehran laid hands on black market nuclear cruise missiles from the Ukraine and 3 to 5 more from Belarus.

OK.  It’s Monday  morning and I’m just seeing if you’re awake…. The NEWS MAG will go out today. Sorry for the delay, but last weeks Coast 2 Coast show knocked me out for a couple of days.  We had a gazillion E-mails and questions and also some deliverance and ministry to folks that needed help, some of which is still going on.

No one in their right mind wants to go to war, period.  Who wants to see the gates of hell opened and thousands of people lose their lives?  Who relishes the thought of bombed out cities, with piles of rubble and little or no infrastructure left in tact?  This is the stark reality of war.  As one general put it, War is hell.  I agree with this short but pithy quote and yet we see the winds of war blowing across the Middle East.  We see the endless saber-rattling from the Moslem world toward Israel.  The vitriol continues unabated with no end in sight and no other conclusion except for an event  a flash point, which will finally push the parties toward a military engagement.

With this new INTEL it makes calls to mind what Mahmoud I’m-in-a-jihad stated earlier this year:  That if Iran was attacked, Iran would destroy American cities with weapons of mass destruction… I wonder if this threat was more than a lot of bluster?

In closing today’s post:  There is a point in time an incident in the future where some event will be too much to handle and the region will erupt into an all out war.  In the end it’s what the Mullah’s in Iran are positioning themselves for.  They are waiting for the right time and then all hell will break out in the region.  Most sane people do not want war as they abhor killing and death.  However, there is a saying in the Moslem world that is foreign to most of us here in the west.  It is that the west embraces life, but the Moslems embrace death.  Hopefully cool heads will prevail…. at least for a while.  Ezekiel 38 anyone?

I agree that Iran obtaining a nuke is definitely alarming, especially for Israel. And I also recognize that Israel has a right to reasonable self defense.

But a critical question that’s been bugging me for a while.

Why is Israel really that worried? I mean, we know prophetically (I don’t recall the verse, so maybe I’m making it up) that Israel will be saved from a horrible attack at some point and saved in such a miraculous way that they will know it was God and will turn to Him.

Perhaps, they’re worried, because the bulk of Israel’s political body is atheist.

Still, here’s a scenario I just thought of

Iran launches a nuke at Israel, miracle happens, maybe prayers of Israeli’s answered that it averts them, and it instead hits damascus wiping it out.

This is all speculation on my part, as I am not as well versed in these prophetic events as i’d like to be.

LA, good post, I think you may be right we’re on the edge of war.

Oh, and LILO only spent 4 hours in jail.

Good idea Frank. Bible prophecies don’t say that the land of Israel will destroyed…However, eventually they do get over-run.

L.A. can correct my opinion, OK.

In general, the land of Egypt is destroyed for 40 years. Syria destroyed for 40 years. Damascus flattened forever.

The city of Babylon, on the Euphrates River is gone forever, as it slides into the Euphrates River…or the River overflows it totally.

We can spiritualize the scriptures…”Babylon, Babylon, How are thou Fallen, Fallen!”

“Streching” the scriptures ok…New York City was called East Babylon for a nickname, as well “The big apple”, etc.

      Hey Greg:

I wonder if it’s coincidence that you mention in your comment about the other lands that will be destroyed, with reference to Babylon also as America or NY. I personally don’t feel that America or NY is Babylon, HOWEVER, as I prayed for the Lord to lead me in my reading of scripture last night He lead me to Jeremiah chapt. 50 and 51, all about the destruction of Babylon and I kept “feeling” like it was speaking of America…Also, the day of 9/11 attack I was praying and asking the Lord to show me what was happening in the spirit and He lead me to Revelation 18, which speaks of destruction of Babylon…therefore, who knows if there may be some spiritual identification of Babylon with America/NY, it could be to some extent. Just my ideas. Amen!

      Hi Frank,

You raise some good questions. One I was thinking of is the one you asked about what does Isreal have to worry about if God is going to supernaturally save them from destrucuion in such a way they will know if could only be God who saves them.

The point I would counter with is that, yes, God is more than capable of doing such a feat. However, the Bible never says God will always be saving Isreal from ATTEMPTS at be destoyed, otherwise the diaspora would never have taken place much less the Holocaust of WWII.

I guess what I am saying that Isreal should indeed be at least concerned about any type of nuke wiping out a majority of the nation but not the nation as a whole. I believe God WILL indeed save the nation from total annihilation, but as already has been seen, God WILL allow MILLIONS to suffer so that in the END, His power will be made manifest and Glory will be due His Name.

In the meantime, if an all out attack comes against Isreal as it basically did in the 1967 war, and God did seem to miraculously save them, that to me personally says the country is in store for MUCH more tribulation before the FINAL attack where God reveals His Glory to the whole world to see.

So…yeah… I would personally still be on very high alert knowing that if I lived there with my family, there is no way I could live there 100% at ease even though I KNOW that at some point God surely will supernaturally intervene.

Until then, my trust would remain steadfast in the knowledge that God is indeed Sovereign over all things and to keep looking for the signs of the return of Jesus Christ as that is my Blessed Hope.

I apologize if this came across as being contentious with what you said. Far from it. I only wanted to offer a differing view. Even now that it has been written, I may have read wrongly my interpretation of what you are saying. Please just know I appreciate your contributions to this BLOG and I ask your forgiveness ahead of time if I offended you with my reply as that is not my intent.

      Respectfully in Christ,

      Jeff D

Well, in the past; didn’t Israel use “The First Strike” on 2 separate occasions?

McObama says he’s moving our troops out of Iraq…[Ahem, they are in harm's way for an Israeli strike on Iran]

Israel has to have the courage of the late General Patton! And attack lst! I don’t like it personally, but why should Israel wait for the Iranians or any other enemy get Nuclear-tipped misslies?

This would cause the U.S.A. to lose some of our oil supply…OMG.

What the world absolutely knows is that Israel already took out the French built reactor in Iraq using the most sophisticated intelligence program and splendidly precise military on the planet. What is also patently evident is that the entire Arab world recognizes Israel’s doomsday capability of counterstriking with hydrogen weapons. Iran knows if Israel cripples their nuclear program they cannot afford to retaliate because Israel will obliterate all of their population centers in mere seconds with their Jericho missiles.

U.N. watchdog set to release a report revealing that Iran has mastered the science of building a bomb, with help from Pakistan, North Korea and a former weapons scientist from the Soviet Union.

Yesterday the UN was a communist terrorist organization giving it’s full support to Palestinians in its sole aim to destroy Israel and bleed the American tax payer dry. Today the UN is an infallible source of absolutely accurate information on Iran’s nuclear ambitions, intent on safeguarding the free world and all its citizens. Absolutely amazing how spin works.

Iran has nukes just like Iraq had wmds. Yeah, sure. Don’t believe the lies.

Babylon is Iraq, not the USA.

As for Iraq having had WMD’S, are you serious? Lies huh.

Iraq had them and used them on the Kurds, a fact and then while waiting for our much telegraphed invasion they trucked them to Syria, another fact.

    • lamarzulli said

I agree John Michael. Iraq had chemical weapons and used them on the Kurds. They more than likely were shuttled into Syria before we invaded.

    • lamarzulli said

Vincent – I think there is huge disparity between Iran and Iraq. For one we know that they have reactors…. two, this recent DEBKA article confirms my suspicions that they now have a delivery system… time will tell.

It doesn’t take a missile to deliver a nuke. A plane will work. A drug sub also. An oil tanker can be used to mask the radiation since oil will absorb radiation.

It doesn’t take a nuclear program to get a nuke. They’re out there on the black market for a price. I was surprised that Q’daffy didn’t get one to use against NATO.

A HEMP will take out electronics all over the mid-east. Would you be surprised if the super-powers aren’t blackmailing the mid-eastern nations (pro-muslim and pro-jewish) that if any nuke is used that the entire mid-east goes black? No need to drop one on any city. Might be more merciful to nuke a city than let them cannibalize each other due to lack of resources destroyed by a HEMP.

And then there are choke points, such as oil shipping channels. Or the Suez canal. Or the Straights of Gibraltar. Arms merchants and drug cartels definitely don’t want supply lines shut down. Consider how long the US borders will be closed if nukes are set off in the mid-east. And what that would do in China, Indonesia, and India. You might get a 200 million man army to go try to open the oil routes to get their broken economy back so they don’t starve and cannibalize each other.

In sum, don’t bother trying to fight yesterdays war.

Chilling!! Doesn’t Iran realize that their missles will not only wipe out 1 million Jews,
but also the Palestinians? So much for the west bank and east Jeruslem. I guess
that just goes along with their “culture of death”. They will kill their own muslim
brothers if it means they can kill a million Jews. Just proof that the lives of muslim
men, women and children means NOTHING to them, except when they are being
filmed on CNN, MSN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX news. THEN you see the wailing,
screaming, flagillating, over the death of just one of their own. That is the ONLY
time it matters to them. The rest of the time it’s “oh well, they were “collateral
damage” which was necessary to accomplish their ultimate goal: To Kill all Jews.
Oh, and did I forget to mention that it is “justified” in the Koran.

    Report: Sarkozy calls Netanyahu ‘liar’

(Microphones accidently left on after G20 meeting pick up private conversation between US, French presidents. Sarkozy admits he ‘can’t stand’ Israeli premier. Obama: You’re fed up with him? I have to deal with him every day!)

French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly told US President Barack Obama that he could not “stand” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that he thinks the Israeli premier “is a liar.” According to a Monday report in the French website “Arret sur Images,” after facing reporters for a G20 press conference on Thursday, the two presidents retired to a private room, to further discuss the matters of the day. The conversation apparently began with President Obama criticizing Sarkozy for not having warned him that France would be voting in favor of the Palestinian membership bid in UNESCO despite Washington’s strong objection to the move.

The conversation then drifted to Netanyahu, at which time Sarkozy declared: “I cannot stand him. He is a liar.” According to the report, Obama replied: “You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!” The remark was naturally meant to be said in confidence, but the two leaders’ microphones were accidently left on, making the would-be private comment embarrassingly public.
The communication faux pas went unnoticed for several minutes, during which the conversation between the two heads of state – which quickly reverted to other matters – was all but open to members the press, who were still in possession of headsets provided by the Elysée for the sake of simultaneous translation during the G20 press conference.
“By the time the (media) services at the Elysée realize it, it was on for at least three minutes,” one journalist told the website. Still, he said that reporters “did not have a chance to take advantage of this fluke.”The surprising lack of coverage may be explained by a report alleging that reporters present at the event were requested to sign an agreement to keep mum on the subject of the embarrassing comments.
A member of the media confirmed Monday that “there were discussions between journalists and they agreed not to publish the comments due to the sensitivity of the issue.”
