A Stranger in a Strange Land…

I am not pinning for the good old days. I’m not saying that life was perfect 50 years ago, because it wasn’t. The cold war, between the former Soviet Union and the USA, had some people building bomb shelters, Eastern Europe was under the repressive communist regime, the Gulags in Russia and China, which were death factories, killed over 120 million people, and I believe our last “real” president was in office, before “they” executed him in Dallas, several years later.
No, life was far from perfect, but what I want to point out was that since that time, life in the USA has travelled down the slippery slope of moral relativism, situational ethics, and the concept that there are no absolutes. We as a country have lost our bearings, our rudder is broken and our ship is drifting aimlessly with no course set. We spend money we do not have and instead of holding our elected officials accountable, we prefer to eat “cake” and watch the circus, as the antics of Lohan, Speers, Sheen, O.J and GaGa, are offered to us for public evisceration. Our country cannot survive the mounting debt, which is in the trillions of dollars, and in the end will be one of the causes of our demise as a nation.
We cannot survive as a culture, as a people, as a nation, when we gather like demented lemmings, at 4 am in the morning to rush into Walmart, trampling those who get in our way, so we can purchase the trinkets of our desires. When life is cheapened and our government sanctions the 53 million abortions that are, in my opinion, ritual satanic, human sacrifices – read about Molech in the Tenach, and see for yourself the glaring parallels – then ask yourself this, what is more innocent than an unborn baby in it’s mothers womb? When a 6-year-old is groped by a stranger at an airport and this act is called “security,” instead of molestation. When drugs are so readily available that kids in Junior High School start getting hooked. When more people vote for American Idol than they do in their state elections. When our youth know more about Harry Potter than they do about the Ten commandments. When a person who roots for another team is beaten senseless in the parking lot after the game. When government taxes every aspect of our lives, and still wants to tax us more. When growing food on our own land is taxed, and regulated. When the theory of Darwinism is forced down the collective throats of every student as fact. When saying a prayer at a public event is deemed a violation of separation of church and state. When cursing and lewdness are celebrated as art. When every form of deviance is accepted as an alternative lifestyle….
In closing todays post, we are beyond the cross roads as we have lost our way, and as I have stated before, I find myself a stranger in a strange land.

Why are the nations of the world in turmoil? What is happening with the sun and the moon? Why is it that birds are dropping out of the air dead, and why have fish numbering into the millions suddenly died without explanation? Why are there sinkholes of gigantic proportions appearing all over the earth, and what is happening with volcanic eruptions in Japan, Italy and Iceland? And what about the UFO seen over the Temple Mount? Something has changed, and Watchers 2 will try and investigate if what ancient texts have said for millenniums are true — that we are entering a period where there will be wars, earthquakes, and famines — including signs in the skies and the heavens. L.A. Marzulli will comment as well as interview experts on this volume. Including: Chuck Missler, Rabbi Aaron Parry, Stan Deyo and Jim Wilhelmsen and Helena Lehman. Dr. Roger Leir will also give us his update on alien implants.

– Is this another video of a strange creature?
Yeah, I get ridiculed for pointing out the same things LA has mentioned today. I get told I’m out of line and need to sit down and shut up. Even though there have always been atrocities across the globe, just as there are today, America USED to be a safe haven. We were a blessed land who HONORED God and even those who were not Christian recognized the Bibler was a special book at he very least. Today people in that same position mock the Bible and say it has no merit. I’m just so tired of having to live in the world in which I find myself. It really is like we are on the Planet of the Apes. The whole world has gone mad and everything is Topsy Turvy.

It doesn’t matter what day in age we are living in… ever since the Fall it hasn’t been Home. :-/ My desire is for when all things are made new. Until then.. His joy needs to be our greatest strength so we can grin and bare it and endure to bring Him glory. But all of us believers along with creation are groaning… so if they tell you to shut up, they don’t know that even the rocks will cry out. :-O

I look forward to the recreated Heaven and Earth too. I’m just saying you can see the contrast in this country of how the Bible and Christianity used to be treated with how they are held in contempt today. Sure, I agree that the fallen earth has never been as great as Eden but there have been ups and downs among this fallen state and we are heading, as a global community, to dark places ahead. I don’t see why so many Christians will debate that the 1800′s, the 1950′s, and so on were just as morally corrupt as our time is today. How can anyone even believe that when they look at the periods? People tell me I’m reading my Christian view into the past but I don’t think so. Read what people wrote and read and sang at times in our past and look at today. Never was there a more sexually open perverse time in America’s past. It’s hard to acknowledge that your country is falling by the wayside when for so long God was behind us and we were the city on the hill for all the nations of the world. It was God who made us a great nation. Our country has turned our back on God so He has removed His blessings from us.
My only comfort is that Christis returning and we will be part of that. If I didn’t have that hope to hold onto I don’t know what I’d do.
The sorts of church people I’m speaking of also don’t believe that the new Earth will be like Eden. They think we just praise God like angels or as angels. I grow so bored with the ignorance I find in the church. Anyway…

Does anyone remember the article I posted about last summer where they were using grain grown from grain found in Egypt and it has more nutrients than grain from today? This is proof that the law of entropy is at play and life is degenerating with time, not evolving into something better, as evolution claims. What I just wrote got me thinking about that again.
And I really do rejoice that I’m among the generation to see the return. Atthe same time I lament that I don’t get to see as stable of times as past generations have enjoyed. That’s all I’m saying.

Really though it makes me sad to hear this, mostly because its mostly true.
It makes me wonder what the daily grind is all about, and why do I continue to take part in it. Why?
It’s heart breaking to see all that we see, that God is allowing us to see, how close His return is, etc. And also see how many people seem to have little interest in all of it. I feel like I should do more, but am at a loss because I don’t know how to go about it.
Sorry, needed to vent.

Wow, nice name for it. Captain had a thread the other day where we were talking about mourning our earthly existence. I feel so relieved and in good company that so many here feel the same way as I do. I don’t feel alone in the world in my loneliness. If that makes sense.
Frank, everyday I want to cry and do more and then I feel held back, mostly myself holding me back. I just ask God how I can serve Him. I ask Him to move me where He wants me to go. I know when I do things on my own accord, I often go against His will, even unknowingly… so sometimes just being still is best.
I feel anguish, anxious, sorrow. Then I get upset, because I wonder where is the joy, we are supposed to be filled with joy. Then when I am rediscover the faith and trust that God will deliver everyone I care about if I just keep the faith, He will use me for His will and it will work out, then I find the joy. Its a peace, true and total freedom. We make things too difficult. His yoke really is easy, and His burden really is light. It is these moments I know that I could be in chains and free from Satan’s bondage and slaver, knowing that everyone around me is really the slaves. Hallelujah.

I know that I feel the worst for God each time someone ignores or rejects Him…..not so much for that person’s sake but for the horrible waste of His incredible, amazing creativity. The miracle of each and every atom and molecule and then compiling them all into a person in His own image! My heart breaks because I see that He wants us all to be His ……and the love He put into all of creation. I want Him to have all his creations choose Heaven, for His sake

Its good to know I’m not alone in this. I really appreciate hearing you guys having similar issues. This world is sad. It’s already pretty bad that some people have heard the truth and rejected it. Its in some ways worse that some people don’t even want to hear the truth and accept “the matrix” around us as the true reality.
I feel sad that people are just going around, the world is moving faster, progress progress progress, and what kills me is that in the end, when we stand before Jesus, pretty much it will all have come to naught. The only thing that will matter is if we accepted Jesus or not, and what we did with that knowledge.
At least I’m not alone.
When we think we’re alone, its good to remember that God had thousands besides Elijah who hadn’t bowed to Baal.
Let’s lean on the Lord!

It’s probably time to start looking into Mormonism a little more seriously since they will be running for President next round. It’s good to do a background check to see what we’re in for. I had to pick my jaw off the floor after checking the info on Obama.
We know that they believe the “New Jerusalem” & God’s temple will be built in Independence, Missouri & Christ will reign from both rebuilt ancient Jerusalem in Israel & “Zion” – “The New Jerusalem” in Independence Missouri. A Mormon President is a big time score for them & their beliefs would influence future policies.

The restoration of the Jesus Christ’s Church came about through Joseph Smith. In 1830, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) was organized officially, and the Great Apostasy ended. The authority to act in God’s name had been restored. Now there are again apostles on the earth, and a prophet who guides the Church through revelation and the power of the priesthood.

If anyone missed my reply, that girl was NOT wearing a bump-it. Her head was longer than any woman on that site. It was 2.5 times the size of a human head. It looked exactly like the Skull in that last Indiana Jones movie and her hair was covering it with a tassel on top, just like the tribe people in that film. That is one of the weirdest “people” I’ve ever seen eye to eye. The weirdest being that reptile like man I posted about last summer who glided when he walked.

It’s possible but none of those people look like tis girl. He had a normal face with a long head and it wasn’t enlongated like the skulls here. It was even longer and didn’t elongate stright up or out, it was at an angle. The only skull similar is in the first entry, side view. But her’s pointed up more and was longer. Look up the skull from Indiana Jones. I’m telling you, it was just like that. I saw her at least 4 or 5 times in the store so I got a good look at her and I noticed how her head was because I’d nver seen anyone like that before. She was also very petite, which made her skull look all the more strange.

I’m with the rest of you! America is so far into socialism it isn’t funny! They are everywhere pushing their lies and the hatred toward those who choose to believe that GOd is alive and still working in people’s lives, is so obvious. It used to be they would talk about their ideas but NEVER admit to being a progressive socialist! Now it is like it is a badge of merit! I guess it is when you have accepted the lies of Satan!
I really feel that there has been a shift in the world.. I felt a darkness come over America when Clinton was elected president, that I have not been able to shake off. That shift is evil and it is growing faster than we can believe!
If it wasn’t for the Lord’s promises most of us would fall into despair! Thank God we have a hope! It is not a false hope like the world has ..but based is the Truth! I can’t wait for Jesus to return… but yet I still have family that needs to turn their lives over to Christ!! For that reason.. I hope he delays awhile yet!

Pro-Israel Penn State Students Assaulted for Putting up ‘Palestinian Wall of Lies’
Posted by Emily Esfahani Smith on Apr 14th, 2011 and filed under Daily Mailer, FrontPage.
The Collegian of Penn State reports:
A 10-by-10-foot sign drew conflict and crowds of more than 50 people outside the HUB-Robeson Center Thursday afternoon.
The sign, part of a demonstration by the Penn State chapter of Young Americans for Freedom, was titled “The Palestinian Wall of Lies.” It featured two large silhouettes of men with guns and outlined 10 “lies” the group believes Palestinians propagate.
YAF President Samuel Settle led the demonstration, handing out pamphlets and attempting to strike up conversation with passersby.
“Many people have hatred for Israel and that’s why this is important,” Settle (junior-political science and history) said. “People need to look at the facts.”
But the demonstration didn’t go without opposition.
One student — who fled the scene before providing comment — yelled obscenities at Settle and the rest of the group, calling it “terrible” and proceeding to kick the group’s box of handouts across the sidewalk.
Other students simply shook their heads. Some even laughed.
One student’s opposition to the sign took an aggressive turn. In the video below, a pro-Palestinian student gets into an argument with the YAF demonstrators about the sign. Near the end, the pro-Palestinian student’s frustration and anger reaches a bit of a boiling point, causing him to reach for the camera and then kick a box belonging to the YAF demonstrators across the quad-like area.
The YAF president, Samuel Settle, describes the incident in his own words:
Today, members of the Penn State Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) set up a Palestinian Wall of Lies outside of the HUB Student Center at the University Park campus. The demonstration began shortly before 1:00, and received an almost immediate hostile reaction from two nearby Arab students. The students described the Wall as “b*****it” and “a f***ing lie,” but were initially nonviolent.
Shortly afterwards, the Wall began attracting significant attention, including from a reporter and photographer with the Daily Collegian student newspaper. Most of the reception was positive; in particular, a group of Israeli students came around to express their support. At this point, one of the two Arab students came back around and began arguing with the YAFfers and Israelis, using abusive language and saying, “I have a problem with Israelis.”
The argument lasted for about 3 minutes, during which the aggressor became increasingly aggravated, ultimately demanding that the YAFfers stop filming him. His request was refused, at which point he lunged for, but missed, the camera I was holding. He then kicked over a crate full of YAF pamphlets and stormed off. A photographer from the Collegian was present at the time.Although this display was disappointing, it was not surprising. This was the only student to actually become violent, but many other students from the MSA came by at various points to verbally denounce the Wall, and often to personally insult those present. None of these people were able to point out a single error on the Wall, and they dispersed once it became clear that they were being filmed.
On whole, the event was a great success. As mentioned, with the exception of some MSA members, the Wall seemed to get a mostly positive reception. Several of the students indicated that they were extremely pleased to see a counter-balance to the anti-Israel narrative frequently promoted on campus.

I’m not surprised. This sort of thing happens on campuses in PA all the time. Last fall at the college I went to they ran a demonstration to take the right to vote away from Christians and allow convicts to vote because they are “more informed than Christians” The demonstration was made up of liberals and black students. They ran articles in the paper about it too. They want there to be a test taken before you can vote and if you are Christian you have no right to vote. I found it ironic it’s a movement led by minority students who should, more than anyone, value the voice voting gives us.
I also take note when people who oppose you NEVER address the facts you bring up but, instead, resort to cussing and hate. It speaks volumes on what fuels them.

It is really sad, because the Palestinian people have become a political tool or weapon to use against Israel. The arab nations refused to allow any of these people to immigrate or become citizens in favor of creating a nationless group of people that are primed for unrest, violence and manipulation.

You`re not the only one Kimberly. We are all secretly shedding tears. I don`t know of anyone (yet there probably are many that I don`t know of) that were in a greater spiritual mess then he was and Christ set him free.

Do you ever wonder if ANY of the man made recipes will be in Heaven? I know the food will be even better but I’m just saying…I was thinking about that today.
I wish I had an amazing testimony to share. (I grew up in a Christian home and it’s always been a part of my life. No startling life change for me. Just when I learned WHY I believe at age 16 and got interested in things the prove the Bible true.) I’m just pretty boring in real life I guess. I only write interesting fiction. With me, what ya see is what ya get. Usually that makes people laugh AT me. They never cry over anything beautiful in my “testimony”. I have lots of stories where my faith had me save people but those aren’t really about me. They’re about Him and the persons I helped. I guess life just passed me by…

We provide an Army for Europe so Europe will let us have bases on their land.
We provide an Army for Asia – Same.
We extend our global military presence EVERYWHERE
We send ships, planes supplies whenever anyone has an earthquake, floods, typhoons, etc.
We forgave the billions and trillions of debt from other countries after WWII

Here is what I don’t get.
People who never work a day in their life get unemployment where I have worked a job in one form or another since I was 10. The job I work now has a down time of several months. Several people told me to apply this year since I’ve paid into it for so long and, knowing me you’d know it’s hard for me to accept ANYTHIN without working for it. So I called when I was done working for the season and they said I made TOO MUCH money to qualify. Then they told me to call back for the next quarter and I might qualify then. So I called a few weeksago when they switched over and the guy says I didn’t make enough money the way they calculated it. I was like 500.00 short. So then he says if I can make 5,000.00 this summer I qualify in Occtober and I’m like “I don’t need unemployment in October because that’s when I’m working.” and he’s like how long do you work and I told him “60-80 hours a week” and he goes “You’ll never get unemployment working those kinds of hours.” What the heck? I just don’t get this. I’m being attacked for actually, you know, WORKING and if I didn’t work I’d make more money. How screwed up is that? I asked the guy what do people do who actually need the money and he said you just don’t work and you get ahead. That’s not right at all.
I agree though. Obama is here to dismantle the US so we are out of the picture as a weakened nation.

Did you see that the supposed 40 billion saved is only 300 million when all is said and done?
Yesterday Pelosi said that the “republicans” need to regain control of their party so there are no differences in who wins the elections because both parties would be the same.
This tells me that conservative groups are doing their job. We are keeping these clowns from doing what they wish to do and you can tell it annoys them.
by the way, we spend 20 billion a day.

“Those who are friends with the world are enemies of God.”
In the early ’90s, I learned my patriotism was misplaced. I’d been in the service over a decade, and left to go to college full time… but Christ caught me attention instead. And His own message of the Kingdom of Heaven was planted in my heart. The mix of TV religion and sunday school church that I’d grown up with fell away like scales from my eyes. His own words freed me from ever again identifying with the world or any of its kingdoms, ways, or delusions. That’s only become more intense in the interim. And I’ve known intimately, that the only good place to dwell in in this world is the “house of prayer,” that immediate awareness that He listens and responds in due course.
So I wait patiently as other believers discover that the world is broken dream. Chernobyl and Fukushima are good examples of toxic dwellings. That’s what the world is – contaminated and toxic. Sin is like spiritual radioactivity. The only way to treat the world is put on survival suits before going in and not spending any longer than needed. And that means Putting on Christ, same thing as donning the Full Armor of God. There are other more malevolent and animated enemies to reckon with of course. But dwelling in the world is deadly. Which is why Peter (and all of us) need “foot washing,” when we come back out of it.
And that’s to say that I don’t care about the USA anymore. Nations come and go, but Christ’s Kingdom is eternal. Until the Millennial Reign, His Kingdom won’t be openly extended into the world. But it will be extended — to fulfill the “Our Father” prayer, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” But this creation is contaminated. It makes more sense to help Christ save who we can and move on to the new creation, and New Jerusalem. And seal up the contaminated from this fallen toxic world forever in the lake of fire.
I watch patiently now as those Christ saves slowly let go of their attachments like horders. Even memories can be contaminated.
And as for presidents, JFK was just another adulterous fallen man. Like the founders…. Or any of the other nations before them.
Just let it go. And read what Christ said about His Kingdom. There is no comparison.

I have a question for everyone who feels totally divorced from the world and America and I’m seriously looking for some answers here.
I get that the fallen world isn’t our home. I completely understand that. I really do. But at the same time I can’t understand not being involved in the events of the day and trying to fight the tyranny that is coming on the earth. I have an example of what I mean.
When World War II broke out there were many people who believed that that was the end times. Jews and Christians believed that the Messiah would stop the Holocaust. I remember reading about Rabbi’s becoing atheists when He didn’t come for them at that time. But this is cited as a reason why many Christians did not get involved and just let it happen. You had 2 factions, those who were selfish and feared for themselves and family and the ones who didn’t get involved because they felt that this wasn’t their place since it was the fallen earth. The result, 12 million (or was it billion, I can’t remember) Jews, gypsies, and others were slaughtered.
Now, what I can’t understand is how we cannot be involved in trying to prevent as much suffering as possible. Why shouldn’t we attempt to win our country back from those who have hijacked it? It may be a lost cause but at least we tried. Isn’t it our duty to try and do as much good in this world in the face of evil until He does return? We must be succeeding to an extent, hence the comment of Pelosi’s I posted above.
I don’t feel trying to my this wretched world happier place isn’t being in love with the world. It’s trying to show an ounce of good for every pound of horror that defaces this planet. I hope my question doesn’t make anyone angry. It’s something I struggle with. It’s just not in me to not care about my fellow man. Maybe I’m wrong but try to make me understand why and how I am. I feel like a jerk for even caring now.
Thank you.

Galatians 4, “Faith which works by love is what makes a difference (avails)”
So yeah, definitely make a difference. Don’t be uncaring in the sense of apathy.
I don’t care about what happens to the US because Christ’s Kingdom eclipses all passing nations. In light of His majesty, they’re shadows. Nation building without Him is just building on sand.
“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.” (Acts 28)
Paul got it. Jude also…
“To the only wise God, our savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever!”
Why folks want Jesus (Yahshua) to ascend to the right hand of God, and not to the midst of the throne as the Lamb Slain, baffles me? It’s His. And likewise, New Jerusalem. Collectively we are also His capital.
And as of about 30 minutes ago, after listening to Chris White, who referred to this testimony:
http://dvdtract.com/video-tracts/homosexuals/
I now understand that people can be delivered from partisan politics exactly the same way that alien abductees are delivered. Not in the least of course because of this thread also.
It’s clear that politics is corrupted and politicians demonically manipulated. Folks caught in all the mess can’t be happy.
(pause) Just a prayer break asking to be shown how to accomplish “political deliverance….”
Do you (anyone reading) care enough to pray about it?
Patrick said
Nomemoleste, good point and one worth praying about, all and everything for that matter. Everything is corrupted by corruption and certainly the only escape offered from this, is offered in Jesus Christ, there is no other way out. Unfortunately those who love corruption will never decide to escape it, but for those who realize that they have been entrapped will find Christ and even now the Holy Spirit works on the hardest of hearts to bring them to repentance for GOD wishes none to perish but to find ever lasting life.
Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
If one does not die to this world he will die in it.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

Bozz – I know Israel wasn’t in the land during WWII. What I’m saying is what if there are SEVERAL battles before the big one. What if it takes a hundred years to get to the grand finale. Why do nothing in all that time? One shot may not do much but united multiple shots are strong. We aren’t going to prevent the end times but why can’t we help our fellow man when we can? Why lay down and surrender to the enemy? In the turbulent times ahead any act of compassion should be welcomed whole-heartedly.
nomemoleste – Bu should we remain silent? In the current state of affairs the US is the only safe haven for freedom of speech and it used to be a place that protected Christians and Jews. Why should we not resist this being taken away? I’m not talking with violence but with our words and logic and facts.
I agree that politics are corrupt but what interests me are the people. You have people who are conservative and people who are liberal. A conservative world view alligns with a Christian point of view. I see no way a liberal can be a Christian based on what they believe in. For me it’s not about who gets elected but about winning minds and hearts. I think about issues like abortion and embracing Islam at the expense of everyone else. These are very serious issues facing us as the human race today and how can I remain silent of my morally correct views? If I can save one life from being aborted then I must. That’s all I’m saying. Does that make me political and in need of deliverance?

Kimberly said
Captain… I never said you didn’t want Him to return (you know for yourself what you feel, not me) But, as I understand it… we have one task until He returns and it’s the task He placed in our hands before He ascended… “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature… making disciples..” (Mark 16:15)
Also.. Ephesians 6:12
And above all : “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
That’s what you do until He returns… as I see it.
It really hasn’t changed.. He kept it simply for His sheepies to understand.

Kimberly & Softcurls – But isn’t being active and showing the world How a follower of Christ should live doing just that? I know He said that, but isn’t this part of it?
Stacy – Since I was 24 or 25 I’ve seemed to be brought into the watching and interpreting of world events. I never could do this before. I always share this with a HEAVY DOSE of “Wake up people and see what’s going on!!” I feel that this must be a Holy Spirit thing because I was never into this stuff before then. That’s why I don’t know how to not care about what’s happening and why I don’t understand the feelings others have.
Rhema said
Cap, The church (we) are to preach the gospel, disciple the nations, love and obey the Lord, love one another and occupy. To me occupy means taking care of business. Personal and otherwise. Get my own life in order: be faithful to my spouse, raise my children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, pay my bills, be a good neighbor, a faithful employee or employer, etc. Get Jerusalem (home) in order then reach out to Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth. I so look forward to His coming but I know I have responsibilities here and now that His Spirit expects me to fulfill and I do it with joy and thanksgiving. I have been delivered from religion, politics and natural thinking and birthed into the Kingdom of my Father and already have an earnest (downpayment) of heaven inside me and He wants me to be here and love for Him. I have an awareness of being a citizen of another “country”. Tho I long to be with Him in greater measure, I know I will be in His timing so I wait in expectation but I also know He wants me to be here for now – not for my sake but for His. I don’t just lay around and lament the world situation but try to bring His Word and Love to any that He puts into my orbit. So, it’s not an escapism mentality. From His Word, we know things are going to spiral downward and we can’t prevent what’s ultimately coming but we can make a difference in the lives of the individuals He puts us into contact with. I believe that the true church is “he who restrains” and that the evil that’s coming can’t completely manifest until “he is taken out of the way”.
Kimberly said
Agreed, Rhema… those verses are not just something the say here and there to sound good… they are action packed! Captain.. none of us can go above and beyond the greatest commandment… that’s what we strive for… we have to seek the Lord and obey His voice to learn “how” He wants us to do that, daily.
Captain Eagle said
I gues the other thing I’m saying is (and this is what I mentioned to Bozz before) I always feel like I’m in a limbo state. I’m always being told I’m not Christian enough by some church people (aside from the ones who say “You aren’t tithing enough” because I care about family, country, people etc. and they say we aren’t to care about ANYTHING. I don’t know how NOT to care about anything. Some of you here seem to be so focused on the future at the expense of the present. This is at the root of what I’m not understanding. I’m used to being around people who could care less about current events and God because they are ignorant and pay more attention to American Idol than important things. But many of you don’t care because you’re only focused on the Return. Thats’ what I have a struggle about. How can we not care about the here nd now because obviously God put us all here at this period for a reason? I’m just having a really hard time trying to apply that to myself. I dream of a home, love, family, career but I still know He is coming and soon. I just don’t know how soon soon is and can’t see not living that life out as I await His return. Wouldn’t He want us to live our lives in a Godly manner as well as previous generations have? I’m sorry to keep going on about this stuff but I’m having a really hard time with this and want to overcome it and in the correct manner.
Kimberly said
Captain… when one looks forward to the future… when Christ returns, and they understand that they are going to stand before God… God… who is righteous… it makes one tremble at the thought… it changes everything about you… starting from that very moment onward. If I didn’t live each day excited for the future… there is no stinking way I would give a hoot about things on earth… it keeps one from becoming bitter and prideful and full of anxiety… because we know He has overcome the world!!! Jesus has some unfinished business, He still has a plan to finish.
We are told to store up treasures in Heaven… to have our hearts desire in Heaven…. to be eternally minded.. You are not the only one who wants a family… that’s all I have ever ever wanted… but at some point, it’s going to be cut off for someone… people are not all of a sudden going to stop wanting these things… they are good things, but God will come in His perfect timing.
You can’t overcome this by arguing over it though… this is something you have to surrender.. that’s it… that’s all there is to it… surrender your desires and take up His. Also, strive to be pleasing to the Lord, not to man… what can man do to you…? Why does it matter what they think/say of you? They are not the one’s who will be judging your soul…. Jesus is the one to please, no one else.
Rhema said
Cap,To me that’s what “Occupy til I come” means. Take care of business. Whatever your business is: First, my spiritual life, then home, family, career, etc. and then outward (Judea, Samaria and the uttermost part of the earth) from there. I care about the here and now and strive to improve the things the Lord has placed in my venue but I don’t get despondent over what’s happening in the world that I can have no effect on because He said to “Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.” So I will be of good cheer because He has overcome the world.
Captain Eagle said
Kimberly – Oh, I am trembling at that thought. I even have a slight bit of dread about that, as I’ve mentioned before, not feeling good enough to pass my judgment. You’re assessment is right, I only care about the present because I know the end of the story. I just hate to see so many people blissfully ignorant of what is coming.
I’m not sure what my heart’s desire is. I mean the things I mentioned before are very important to me, like a family, but I don’t know if we will have families in the new Heaven and Earth. I’ve been told conflicting things about this and can’t seem to find enough to study for myself. But those tings have been my heart’s desire on earth. I guess I’ve always looked toward Heaven as when we get there we’ll know what to do. I still try to live a Godly life but I don’t actively seek treasure here or there.
I know there is a cut off but isn’t that when He returns and not before or in anticipation of? That’s what I don’t follow logically. Since He will take care of everything why impose restrictions on ourselves of the things He desires for us in this realm (both in time and dimension)? Isn’t it up to Him to cut things off when He returns?
I’m not arguing. I’m trying to rationalize it. I’m a very logical person and I do tend to over think things but it’s how I make decisions. I’m not sure how to surrender everything because to me surrender means not caring and I’m a very caring person who cares about everything and I don’t know how not to care.
The reason why what people say about me sometimes bothers me is because of the wounds I still carry from the past. It is very difficult to carry unhealed wounds from bullying and abuse that never fully heal. You think they do but something can always trigger them back up again. It’s a little bit like Frodo at the end of Return of the King. I know only Jesus’ opinion matters but sometimes I do feel like if these people think these things of me then He will too. I just got to where I started thinking positively about myself for the first time in years. My scars run very, very deep and it’s something I wish He could help me overcome.
Rhema- It sounds like you’re saying what I’m saying? I’m definitely of good cheer. I always have a sile on my face and a warm, hearty laugh in my belly even when I’m feeling my gloomiest. It’s one of the gifts I have I think. Few people would be surprised to know how lowly I have felt my entire life because I have a cheerful façade. But many times it’s only been that, a façade. I still try to brighten the day of others regardless of how I happen to feel on any particular day.
Captain Eagle said
By the way, it’s of tremendous comfort to be able to discuss this stuff. Imagine feeling this way for years and not being able to talk with anyone about it because they don’t know what I’m talking about. They either don’t have an understanding of the Bible on this point or don’t get why I’m feeling the way I am about this.

(I really hope it was the case of them being elderly or a child because it’s going to make me really disgusted if it was the 25 year old brother who stood by and watched his sister being taken off.) In addition, Adams learns that he has an uncanny link to much of the wildlife of the region who interact with him on their own without fear or aggression. It`s just amazing how things change when you get a grip of the 100% reality.
I remember growing up as a teenager, after quitting tennis, started playing basketball and following the NBA. All my life was, was basketball. I even learned geography of the united states, every country in your state, where it was and which cities are in it and where I would like to visit and so on. I always wanted to travel the states with a backpack or something. Then later on when I got my Australian citizenship, I wanted to move down there, again learned everything about it and just wanted to travel the whole land down under. Now with that whole TSA crap and those X-ray screeners they made flying really fun. I just am not likely to fly ever again unless if I have too. I can only bare so much fun. But that probably was their intention. To discourage people from flying, or going anywhere. Soon less and less people will be able to afford it anyway. Two years ago I was in UK, visiting friends, there were no X-ray screeners at the airport, now they probably have them also. Have to check with the lads up north.
Europe and the country where I live ain`t no better either. Our leaders just follow orders from the central command and try to pretend that we live in a democracy while they tax us 41% on our income tax.
The once livable “western world” is turning into a nightmare.

Wouldn’t that be a great finale for a concert? Jesus returns and everyone’s raptured and people left behind go “Wow! Dude, How do you top that?!” Ha ha. That’s going into my next comic. Thanks, Madame Sogggy-Bottom.
(Yep, that’s going to be a character name at some point too. It sounds so regal and stuffy. Ha Ha.)

I never listened to other Mercy Me songs, so that does not make me their fan either, but this song is great! I even don`t know how I found this video months ago, but I remembered it and this one song with this video is probably one of my all-time favorite worship songs.

I FOUND IT Bozz! This was the song I couldn’t remember! I think, for me.. they are a band that shines better live rather than through recordings.. And I agree, that song is awesome… anytime “holy” is sung like that, I’m immediately in love with it!!! Here’s the other song..:
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAn6-RmNQ0U&w=480&h=390%5D
The thought that believers and all of creation are yearning for His return and His glory… sometimes becomes overwhelming… whew!
… especially since someday it’s GOING TO HAPPEN!!! Ahhhhh!
(passed out)

nice one, Kimberly. I am writting this reply as your part of the world is in the night. Does this “clock” under your name show the right time of the west coast from where you are posting? Almost 6 in the morning, no wonder you passed out …besides the expectations and yearnings of course
I also love to listen and watch live videos and concerts. Like Hillsong. Some of their live performances are just goosebumps, especially when the crowd sings along.
Most of the bands are better live then the recordings, especially if you can be live there with them.
Kimberly said
Whoooaaa … it’s says 5:54… AM!!?!??!! I would be soooo amazed if I could do that… haha, so that clock is waaaay off, I wrote that at nighttime.
OH MY GOSH……. Yes. Yes. And yes. Hillsong live is like…. literally Heaven… truly and 100% agreed. I have their live dvd recordings… have been to their concerts… It drives me crazy how wonderful they are!!!! Gooooosebumps and tears!!! :*-D (the best way to listen to them is with headphones, oh yes indeed)
(and the current West Coast time as of now is….. 6:50 AM!!!) … which is still early for me.

Has anyone heard the radio ads for some film at this website:
http://www.endofamerica66.com
What’s it all about?
I’ve heard theseads for 2 months but keep forgetting to mention it. I can’t watch it so perhaps one of my fine friends here can and tell me about it?

It’s selling an investment plan. There appears to be actual, solid information in it. But it is irritatingly couched in technique.
“I’m about to tell you exactly, step-by-step, how to survive this complete disaster— but before I do, let’s remember when F.D.R. said, ‘…this is a complete (expletive)-ing disaster,’ and also when Quint LaSpew once wrote in his famous month-long interjectory blah blah barf… but I’m getting ahead of myself. In order to really understand this, we need to start in 1702 with blah…”
Ad nauseam for 1h:17m:24s of video than you can only pause. There is valuable stuff all thru it; it’s just annoying. “You should invest in silver now, but wait, you won’t know how until I tell you, so get that credit card ready…”

Thanks James. I’ve been wondering what the catch was.

This song just seems appropriate due to the decline and sad state of affairs of the world. It is indeed a Mad World.
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very, very
Mad world, mad world

Can I just say I am haunted by the link LA left about Obama and Clinton getting ready to start pushing again for a two-state solution in Israel? “Thank you, sir, may I have another!”? What will the next catastrophe of biblical proportions be for us now as we hurtle towards the trib?
Obama!! Nooooooooooo! Don’t do it! Dear God, in wrath, remember mercy!! Amen.

Captain, I am all for protecting our communities and families. I am just saying that what is coming will overwhelm us and the only battle you will be able to lead is in the Spirit. Take into account that USA is the only country where you can posses a firearm legally. All the others, we have sticks and stones to our disposal. I personally believe we are very close. It will not take a 100 years. In one generation, everything will get fulfilled. Just look at what the “dark side” is doing. There are plenty of documentaries out there from Keith Truth on youtube. Watch them and see for yourself.
Captain Eagle said
But how can we let it happen WITHOUT telling others about what they’re doing? That’s what I’m saying. I know we can’t win without Christ and the writing is on the wall, so to speak, but I can’t just roll over and let these people doing what they’re doing without a peep. It’s just not in my nature.
Bozz said
We are telling others. Others just don`t listen. They are to brainwashed to see and of course if they do not have the Holy Spirit, they never will. That`s why they look at us as cospiracy nuts and religious freaks. Like the world did not get it in Noah`s time, it will not get it now. Only those who seek the Lord get it. Zechariah tells us that there will be people in the millenium that God will show mercy upon them (like the remnant of the Jews), there will be a surviving remnant from the gentiles also.
Captain Eagle said
Then where am I going wrong? In my case I’m always showing HOW they’re doing it wher a lot of you just tell others that they are doing it.
Bozz said
Do what the Spirit, that discerns the events around you to your inner man, leads you to do. Every branch abides in the vine and yields fruit. My fruit is probably different then yours, but it`s of the same vine. The important thing is that people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, everything else is just knowledge that puffs up. If someone believes all the conspiracy that is happening around, but yet somehow he can not leave his past life behind, still doubts, and does not trust in Jesus Christ, who the bible says he is, than all the knowledge he has is no good. If someone can not accept the simple words of the bible, the Word of God, there is no hope for him.
Therefore apostle Paul said: “…but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.” (1 Corinthians 1:17)
Captain Eagle said
Nut Buzz, sometimes Knowledge can lead to faith. If anyone looks at the facts objectively there’s TONS that overwelmingly prove thatthe Bible is factual and true. I’ve always believed but that’s what hit it home for me. It’s no longer a question of faith for me but good common sense.
I hope you’re not implying that I’m unable to leave the past behind and have doubts? I have no doubts. I just can’t not care about the world God put me in. I can see what’s happening and I have to be active in that. The theme of today’s post brought it up for me. I just can’t bring myself to not care about how everything is going down hill so fast. That is what makes me saddened. That it’s getting this bad and most people don’t see it or rejoice in their sinfulness and call it good.

Also this:
Ezekiel 14:13-20 (King James Version)
13Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
14Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
15If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
16Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.
17Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:
18Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.
19Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
20Though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
Fear God and give glory to him who created the heavens and the earth.

YIKES. That was supposed to sat “But Bozz”. I wasn’t calling you a Nut. Ha Ha. Oh, boy….Sorry about that typo.

I am not talking about you captain. I am talking about my own experience with people. Most of my friends are atheists and agnostics and new agers, because of the surroundings where God has put me out of. I ministered to them for the past year and still do, but only the Lord knows if someone of them will get saved because of what I have shown them is happening around us. I spoke wisdom (science, facts, economy, conspiracy,…), but in the end they did not believe that Jesus Christ is who he says he is. After hitting my head against the wall doing this a couple of times, these verses of the Holy Spirit through Paul have become very clear to me.
Captain Eagle said
I’m sorry. I just get a little sensitive because my whole live I’ve always been told that I’m either not Christian enough or too Christian. So I’ve very much have always felt like I exist in a limbo state where I don’t belong anywhere. Even though the accusations of not being Christian enough comes from church people who aren’t living Godly lifestyles themselves it still hurts.
You’re plqanting seeds Bozz. I have met people like that who can’t be reasoned with. I usually point out how we know that the Messiah prophecies were unaltered to fit Christ because they’re in the sealed Dead Sea Scrolls. (They’ll deny what the scroll say because we can’t read Hebrew.) Then I point out how the New Testament was kept recorded through the centuries but they still say that it was made up by a bunc of priests in the middle ages. This one guy even told me that 9/11 never happened. What we saw on tv was CGI. This guy was a Wiccan who showed up at a Memorial Day party I was at and felt the need to butt into a conversation I was having with someone else on Biblical prophecy. It was the worst experience talking with someone I ever had. An hour and a half later when some other lady butted in with “Religion was just created to control minorities and women” and they went at it I could not thank God enough that I no longer had to hear his stupidity. He works for the government too by the way. It sure makes ya wonder…

Captain the beautiful thing is we all belong with God,also you belong here. we value your friendship and you as a person, I think most of us here have been rejected by the world at one time or another. Rejoice when the evil world has no place for you because that to me shows you are doing something RIGHT! God bless you and bring you peace, and by all means continue to fight for what is right. Randy
Captain Eagle said
Randy – It only bothers me when I get rejected by people who are supposed to be Christians.
I’m not getting that vibe from those of you who say we don’t belong here that we have any place in the earth. This is where my confusion lies.
The earth was created for man.
Man corrupted the earth with sin.
God will recreate the earth for men.
So it appears that earth will always be our home, just a recreated perfect version of it? (Few people ever want to touch upon God’s purpose for man except in places like this blog.)
We are also placed here in the world for this yime and place for a reason. Newton was placed when and where he was for a reason. Churchill was placed when and where he was for a reason. I believe that applies to even those of us who aren’t famous (like the movie It’s A Wonderful Life. How many people do we affect for the positive without even knowing it?)
And that is why I struggle with not caring about the present. Maybe I’m reading everyone wrong but it comes off that way. I have a little more understanding of this from the replies I’ve recieved above but I’m still a little bit confused.
