The Coming of the Mahdi – Islamic Messiah is Near!

Commentary & Analysis

by

L. A. Marzulli

I was sitting in the Cleveland, Ohio airport for almost four hours waiting for a connecting flight to Los Angeles. I had my iPad out and was surfing the net checking to see what stories were breaking. On the DRUDGE Report there was a headline that read: The Coming of the Mahdi is Near. I followed the links and then watched the video that was almost an hour-long that detailed the Islamic “prophecy” concerning the revealing, or the coming of the Mahdi. The link to the video is at the end of this post and I have to admonish you that if you do nothing else today watch this video, as it is a shocking expose into what the Shia Moslems believe. (This is why there are no other news story links today – seriously it’s that important you watch this!)

According to the Hadith which is the writings or commentary based on what Mohammed received, from the angel Gabriel – not the Gabriel in our Bible in my opinion – the Mahdi would only manifest at a time of chaos. There has to be unrest and injustice on a global level. The prophecy also cites earthquakes and other signs that will herald his coming.

The producers talk about justice throughout the entire film, but where is the “justice” in Iran where people are tortured and stoned to death, and women are treated like chattel? Where is the mercy and grace? The “justice” that the Mahdi will bring about is Sharia law.

Another extremely interesting point the film makes is that Jerusalem must be freed from the Jews as well as the Jews removed from what is now Israel. I was shocked to read this and see it so openly declared, and thought that from a Biblical prophetic perspective, it sounded like the Ezekiel 38 war…. verbatim.

Here’s the rub for me and it is from the quote that I penned in Politics, Prophecy & the Supernatural.

The present political landscape is in direct correlation to supernatural events that happened, in some cases, millennia ago.

What we are seeing now is a clash of civilizations that are operating from two different set of supernatural events that have shaped each countries political and religious world view i.e. the body politic. These two ideologies are at odds with one another and, in my opinion, can never be reconciled. I believe that what we are seeing in the Middle East with the uprisings there, is being triggered supernaturally. In other words, the mystery of lawlessness, that hidden Luciferic agenda is now about to begin its end game.

Both sets of prophecy cannot be right, can they? One group is wrong. One group has been misled. One group has, in fact, been deceived. There is no other way around it. I am overwhelmed by what I see shaping up on the horizon. I have to pinch myself because it doesn’t seem real, and yet it is.

In closing todays’ Post: The time is coming when the armies that are mentioned in Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, and Ezekiel 38, will go up against a land of unwalled villages. This is all part of the cosmic chess match, the struggle between the Most High God and the Fallen One. It is coming to a head and it will change the way we live.
I believe that this war will then trigger what I call the Great Deception, which will come after the carnage of a nuclear event in the Middle East which is flashed on TV screens all over the world, creating the greatest climate of fear mankind has ever known.  That is when they, the so-called extraterrestrials, will manifest and declare that we made you, we genetically manipulated you, we created the worlds first civilizations, the first religions and your ancestors thought of us as gods. Now, because of this critical juncture in human history we have come to help you in your societal evolution. It’s happening, as over the weekend there were more “lights in the sky.” It’s all connected. The game is afoot and the evil one is on the move. Wake up! Prepare! The time of true kings return is soon.
Even so, come Yashua, come.

wow. Indeed we are getting going. The end is nearer, but still not yet.

This dovetails quite nicely with what I’ve heard on future quake of late. They got knights of malta in the new apostolic reformation, basically fomenting and anti-islamist crusade. That also dovetails with the 3 world war/masonic conspiracy before the “world teacher/ruler” can ckme forth.

Imagine a renewed crusade, war that unleashes some great chaos, then the mahdi/world teacher comes forth. But I would stillf be wary, for whoever gets rid of that person, may be the real antichrist.

    My theory anyway.

      Frank,
Last year my brother went to a tea party rally that was held at the local Scottish Rite Temple. I thought it odd and tried to inform him about the masons, but he wasn’t having it–wouldn’t read Brotherhood of Darkness by Stanley Monteith either. His reasoning? How could a group like the Shriners, that help out so many people, be bad? (All one has to do is look at their hats).

    • Late Night Lisa said

Some people are surface thinkers. If something appears to be doing good then bad naturally wouldn’t be involved in it. Now that would be great if it were true but its simply a naive way of looking @ life. My husband has brought up that same argument because both his parents were involved w/masonary on a superficial level. Needless to say their Methodist background didn’t stick & they drifted off to do their own things away from Christianity & into the “I’m a good person” mentality.

We are blessed to know God’s warnings in His word that Satan even disguises himself as a good guy so we have the knowledge that not all things are as they appear on the surface. The demonic can even physically “heal” a person which is
a positive thing. But- the ultimate goal of this positive action is to ensure spiritual death which our physical eyes do not see. Very crafty indeed!

    • Frank said

      That’s a favorite argument, isn’t it?

They’re doing good stuff, how can it be evil? Marian apparitions, masons, etc. Everyone says the same thing.

Disguised as an angel of light, that’s how.

    • Sundown Lady said

That may be the whole jist of the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” God said, don’t eat from it. Why? Just because He said so? Well, yes, that would be enough, but I think there is more. I think perhaps it was because without God telling us what is good and what is evil, we can be easily deceived. So, in essence God is saying, Children, bring everything to me and let me tell you if it is good or if it is evil…not unlike a responsible parent raises a child.

That is what Eve and Adam did not do. They did not bring the suggestion of the serpent to God and ask Him, Is this serpent telling us something good? Instead they obeyed the serpent thinking it was a good thing.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Pvb 3:5-6)

This is something many of us do not do because it takes too much time, or we think we already know what the Lord would say, or some other excuse. But, I will guarantee you, not everything that comes in a pretty package is good. And not everything that comes in an ugly package is evil.

If indeed we are to be “led” of the Holy Spirit, then we must submit to him in our decision making process. I know it seems foolish to ask the Holy Spirit, Should I go to the grocery store today? But, He alone can see the road that lies ahead of you, and if there is danger, He alone can lead you in such a way to avoid that danger.

As you begin to practice it, your mind will begin to automatically defer to the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

LNL, Frank and SL, thanks for the confirmation about these things. My sister-in-law said masons came to their home some years ago, she couldn’t be in the room with them and my brother (all the secrecy). I don’t think he joined, but who knows? My grandpa joined (didn’t get very far–died from a farming accident). So, this stirs up emotions in my mom, that her dad was not a “bad man.” This all went down on Christmas day. Most are not bad men, just deceived. My brother is all for Glenn Beck too, so is my sis-law, she didn’t even know he was a mormon until I told her. My sister’s the only one who is waking up to all this, the rest of my family probably thinks I’m nuts. Oh well! I’d rather know the truth, since Jesus is the truth, the life and the way!!

    • CelticKevin said

I also have been listening to the Future Quake guys lately and I agree strongly that there is a huge deception afoot to create a Christian vs. Islam war. Some political groups, religious groups and seemingly innocent groups are seeded with villains with a Luciferic agenda. Even Christian groups!!! It is scary and most people are playing right along with the script. :(

Once the dust of the conflict settles, it will be even more acceptable to behead “warmongering” Christian crusaders. Not that they need much more reason than our love of Christ.

    • My theory is the Mahdi will be the Antichrist. He will go by other names as well, Jesus, Maitreya, etc. He will fulfill all of the world religion figure heads and thereby merge into a one world religion.

    • Patrick said

Mix him with what the Raëlians believe in and you have the Alien agenda and the Nephilim to boot.

    • Frank said

That’s a good theory too. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was AC or the false prophet.

    • Mark1:17 said

Scary concept. But that’s the way it could be played out.

    • Yep, I’ll go one more. Look at the main difference between Shia and Sunni beliefs. Shia believe that the Mahdi will come from a direct lineage from Muhammad and Sunnis say that there is no distinction to what the Mahdi’s nationality will be. This distinction is one of Satan’s greatest little tricks to create a rift in the Muslim religion. To use the Shia as an extremist catalyst for chaos only to be trumped by the more “moderate” faction of the Sunnis, which the world will more openly embrace. So, according to Sunni doctrine, even the Roman Catholic pope could be the Mahdi… and that is what I believe.

    • Actually to clarify, that is not the exact scenario I have bouncing around my head. What I have envisioned is even wackier than that. For brevity sakes, here is the cliff notes version.

      1) WWIII
      2) Pope is assassinated by Shia Muslim extremists
      3) An alien space craft descends with the false prophet inside. It is this false prophet who goes by Shiva, Maitreya and Jesus. He heals the Pope and declares him to be the savior for this new age.
      4) All world religions unit and has disdain for those who claim that Jesus has yet to return
      5) Pope takes the place as the Mahdi/A.C. and sets up shop in Jerusalem. False prophet/Jesus rules by his side.

The thing I don’t understand is the link between elitists/luciferians and Islam extremists. They seem to have conflicting agendas, yet they have some strange alliance. There are stories coming out about how mob-like Islamic populous are taking over large areas of European cities. They are given over to sharia law. They attack outsiders and threaten “bloodshed” and the government protects them. Citizens are punished if they speak out against it.

Even Benjamin Netanyahu has commented on the strange alliance of radical Islam and the far left:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took aim Thursday at what he called Europe’s “strange fusion” of radical Islam and the far left.

“There is a new boiling anti-semitism of radical Islam that sweeps Europe as a whole, and there’s a strange fusion – it’s the only word I can use to describe it — a fusion with the anti-semitism of the radical far far left,” Mr. Netanyahu said in an interview on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight.

“This is the strangest union you could possibly contemplate,” he said, “because radical Muslims: they stone women, they execute gays, they are against any human rights, against feminism, against whathaveyou. And the far left is supposed to be for these things.” (http://current.com/news/93094614_netanyahu-far-left-and-radical-islam-are-fusing-against-israel.htm)

Any thoughts or ideas on how this all comes together?

    • JL said

What exactly do you mean by “true Jewish believers”?

    • Sundown Lady said

All Jews are not believers…many of them are very secular..have departed the faith. But God has saved a remnant of true Jewish believers.

    • JL said

Well not just the secular Jews have departed from the faith. Rabbinic Judaism is not the truth. I believe based on the testimony of Scripture that the Jews will be regrafted in, but until then most Jews are being led astray by their false tradition.

    • CelticKevin said

I see it along these lines:

Satan has many puppet groups that are pushing different agendas towards a single climactic point. All of these groups are coming from different directions but the ultimate goal is the same. Fear. Death. Destruction. Chaos. War. A global collision of ideologies, nations and religions.

Somewhere in all that mess and chaos, Satan will provide answers or solutions to the problems his little puppets have brought upon us. His answers will gather multitudes to his wicked cause.

    • JL said

Have you read the “Grand Inquisitor” from Dostoevsky’s _Brothers Karamazov_? (Highly recommended book for so many reasons.) if you compare the worldly utopia agenda of the Grabd Inquisitor to the Muslim idea of a perfectly just society, the principles are the same. The Christian Church is the only “religious idea” that is “not of this world”; all other religious and political ideas and ideologies posit an earthly kingdom, i.e. tower of Babel. The Church proclaims the inbreaking Kingdom of God.

Furthermore, the Muslim radicals and the suits understand eachother. They both deal in force, intimidation, death and destruction. The Christian Church proclaims the victory of the crucified Messiah.

And as someone pointed out, Satan is behind a lot of this. Perhaps a sort of ‘good cop bad cop’ routine?

    • CelticKevin said

I have not read that. I will have to put that on my list and look into it. Hmmm…

    • Bon said

I think “good cop-bad cop” is the key. They are also notorious for generating “CHAOS” to facilitate their “order”.

    • D said

I agree that such a collusion seems quite paradoxical, but from my perspective, much of it simply stems from the Left’s insistence on believing that “true Islam” is all about tolerance and peace, etc… They just want to believe the version of Islam that fits within their overall worldview, and so regardless of how much evidence there is to suggest otherwise, the Left will champion Islam over Christianity everytime, even though it is really antithetical to all that they care about… It is truly a bizarre thing…

You know, I’ve thought of that before too LNL! On the day it DOES happen, it would seem SOMEBODY would have “called it” or predicted it somewhere in the world of almost 7 billion.

When Jesus spoke those words he was speaking to those present. The greek word used here is eido- use in past tense only. Meaning those who are alive in the present day will have the ability to know. Why would we have down to the day prophecy (ie Daniel’s 70 weeks, days 1260, 1290, 42 months, times, time, and 1/2 time, Apollyon has 5 months, some in prison 10 days?)I think we are supposed to know.

    • CelticKevin said

LNL, you are sooooo right! Someone will be hooting and hollering, “I told you so!” as they are being lifted up to the Lord! LOL

When it comes to naming days, I prefer not to do so… But… I do lean towards Rosh Hashanah / Feast of Lights since is just so happens to also be the feast that no man knows the hour and the day of its beginning. Not to mention the horns and the Hebrew traditions that paint such a rich picture. And those fall feasts are just begging for the Lord to fulfill them in grand style! ;)

This is also interesting: “…preparers of The Coming will rise from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran.”

The coming of the Mahdi depends on man’s doings.

I caught the part where the coming of the Mahdi will be “after” the defeat of Jerusalem. Ties in nicely w/the timing of the Anti Christ scenarios except we know w/Christian Bible Prophecy that Jerusalem won’t be conqured – yet. Islam will go down in flames but the Anti Christ will be coming on the scene w/his “peace plan”. I wonder about the timing of the False Prophet. He may come before the AC since he points people to serve him.

Re: Daniel and Revelation (esp. R13)…

The King of the North area (lion, leopard, bear…) will battle back and forth with the King of the South, before both are subdued by The Antichrist. The KON of old was likely the fallen “prince of grecia.” The KOS was the fallen “prince of persia,” (aka allah).

The north area is UK (lion) + EU (leopard re: Germany) + Russia (bear).

The south area is Islam from Morocco to at least Iran.

Best I can tell, these both are the feet of clay, with the ten toes / ten horns are their rulers.

So revived Rome isn’t an east-west split. It’s north-south split (legs) around the Mediterranean.

And the KOS (allah / p.o.p.)will likely manifest as Mahdi, one of the fallen prince demons (gods), pulling the strings.

Moreso, global islam + allah is likely the False Prophet. The balaam piece in the cosmic chess match, if I can second guess L.A.

  13. Matt said

The guy in the pic, looks a little like Jamie Farr.

  14. nomemoleste said

And while we’re getting a peek at cosmic chess match from L.A., here’s the board again as best I can tell so far:

The bad guys (collectives with common spirit dominated by demon princes, also openly manifest tares):
    1. antichrist, 2. false prophet, 3. death, 4. mystery babylon, 5. the destroyer, 6. the great, 7. the dragon.

Or you might prefer to call them by name:
    1. nimrod, 2. balaam, 3. hell, 4. jezebel, 5. abaddon, 6. nicolaitans (baal/lords), 7. satan

They’re the same old pagan pantheon skulking around in the names of the week days as gods of…
    1. sun, 2. moon, 3. mars, 4. mercury, 5. jupiter, 6. venus, 7. saturn (kronos)

In the US, they’re given a place is the secular holidays, likely to desensitize the people:
    1. valentines, 2. easter (astarte, ishtar), 3. independence day, 4. halloween, 5. thanksgiving, 6. x-mas, 7. new years (note: secular thanksgiving is more about gluttony and ball games than fasting, contrast with Trumpets … also TG is one of the counterfeits of the Holy Days given to Moses)

And in paranormal myth, videos, games, and cartoons…
    1. werewolf, 2. mad scientist, 3. zombie, 4. witch, 5. vampire, 6. mummy, 7. devil

And they are actually counterfeit spirits:
    1. false-saviors, 2. false-prophets, 3. false-pastors, 4. false-teachers, 5. false-apostles, 6. false-deacons (or false-servants), 7. false-elders

Their reach is already pervasive. We drink in the psyops and agitprop of their mind-control methods as part of the world culture.

You already know the good guys though (Yea!) as extensions of Christ’s own Spirit and ministries, (the 7 spirits of God, or 7-fold manifestation of the Holy Spirit through us). He is the Vine and we are the branches and the sap is His Spirit (anointing) is poured out through us. These are Yahshua’s (Jesus’) 7 Horns and 7 Eyes when we seen Him spiritually as the Lamb Slain in R5-6. We are His crown (tines) and jewels.

They are counterfeit and like a frankenstein by comparison. Jezebel (the foolish woman, deep ditch, sorcerous witch, false-teacher, hermetic occult hermaphrodite, mother of abominations…) wants to rule the world, tries to tell the Ahabs she’s in bed with how to run things (…false-leaders, false-rulers, false-servants, aka rich-and-famous). And get’s double destruction for it.

So in the “unified theory of evil” the bad-guys will be whatever the wicked think they want: aliens, monsters, cartoons, seemingly fantastic myths, super-heroes (false-saviors), whatever.

And the games they play with humans to distract themselves from their soon coming doom are reflected in all the games and sports and videos and distractions the world is so absorbed in.

Entities yield offspring after their own kind, whether spiritual or physical. Hybrids and chimaeras and transhumans likewise considered.

Your thoughts? Seems like a good way to discuss and anticipate what Marzulli is writing.

‘Easter’ is an Old English word which is etymologically related to ‘East’, ‘Eastern’. It has no relation whatsoever to Astarte or Ishtar, beyond mere similarity in sound. ‘Easter’ refers to the arising from the dead of Jesus Christ, the “Orient [East] from on high” (Luke 1:78). This word is only used in England and its former possessions, such as the United States, Canada, Australia, etc.. To my knowledge, all other nations refer to the Feast of the Resurrection by some form of the word ‘Pascha’ which is the way the New Testament transliterates the Hebrew _Pesach_, ‘Passover’. Well, except for the Germans, who call it ‘Oster’, related to the German word for east. This is because the early Germans were evangelized by missionaries from England.

    • nomemoleste said

It’s not about “evolution” of language. It’s about counterfeits and mockery among the fallen. See: http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/easterkj.htm for an exchange about entymology and interestingly Bible translations regarding “easter.”

We’d have to ignore the obvious reconciliation of the northern european and southern european pantheons to miss that diverse “gods” have been roughly equated all along. I say it was an intentional manipulation. The most obvious example concerns the Greek and Roman pantheons.

Compare the results in English and Spanish, (as current hybrid languages derived from prior languages).

      sun-day … domin-go
      mon-day … lun-es
      tues-day … mart-es
      wednes-day … miercol-es
      thurs-day … juev-es
      fri-day … viern-es
      satur-day … saba-do

“thor” (thurs-day) and jove are not the same god “entymologically.” Same goes for freya and venus, woden and mercury, tua and mars, etc. But they’re the same “role” that the demons prize.

Antichrist becomes the counterfeit savior and super-hero of the world. Antichrist steps into the role of sun-god, whether called apollo, ra, or whatever. Antichrist is not just a human vessel, (like perhaps Antiochus or Javier Solana carries the spirit of antichrist), nor whatever demon prince that usurps control of the false-savior-spirit role for however long. Antichrist is the entire collective spirit that joins them including also the chief sun-demon that spawns or possesses those who were made to be “saviors/rescuers/emergency responders.” They’re ultimately false-saviors without Christ, and worse, because they’ve become extensions of those old “gods” (rebel angels) that never died. Who have been playing the same silly masquerade and games since before the flood.

As for easter/ishtar/astarte/oestre/eastra being the lunatic moon-god/dess, march hare spring crazy, fertility rite promoting, egg laying, rabbit in the moon entity (in the orient) goddess … (and balaam too) … they intentionally manipulate various cultures and succeeding generations in that role with the end-game in mind — the end time pantheon of what I guess is Marzulli’s cosmic chess match.

The overt deception of the one-world end-time religion is that many paths lead to the same enlightened end. And L.A. Marzulli’s point about “disclosure” is that they’re going to claim to be the one’s behind all these manifestations in all ancient cultures.

I’d say more, that they’ll claim to be behind everything including the paranormal and occult while trying to whitewash it all away openly … whether (Marzulli’s) ufo abduction, abuse, experiments on one side … or (like Dizdar’s focus) on the satanic ritual abuse cult multiple mayhem on another … or (the Gilberts exposing) the dominionists 7 mountains political warp … or the cartoon video couch potato compulsive gamer on another, becoming more and more obese and self-loathing and/or hair-trigger reactive, in road rage or campus shooter mayhem.

The demons/fallen/gods seek out those they can manipulate. Anyone willing to sacrifice to pagan gods can easily be possessed. Same goes for anyone willing to commit or sanction abortion. Likewise anyone willing to wage mercenary wars for oil and ore. Also the same for those that distract themselves with role-playing fantasies that devolve into crowley class magick. But the role-playing games of the fallen angles take on very sinister and deadly turns the deeper one spirals down into them.

What looks like cartoons, myths, and entertainments leads very directly down to becoming the breeders of their abominations (infested, infected, possessed). Not the least of which is by way of sorcery/drugs, legal and illegal, that dull the mind and rob the will, and open the gates to the ways of the damned.

In the unified theory of evil, all roads lead to hell — and the only escape is through Christ, most of which He did at the Cross. The rest He still does, while encouraging us to help.

ps. I’m not attacking the holidays. The promise to Christ is that He shall possess the gates of his enemies. Same as he did when he declared Himself the fulfillment of the Jewish holidays. Those planets out in the solar system are His and should not be named for gods/rebel angels. Same for the days of the weeks, months, etc.

      >>It’s not about “evolution” of language.

Yes it is. Your claim that there is something wrong with the word Easter is based on the SUPPOSED DERIVATION OF THAT WORD FROM THE NAME OF A PAGAN GODDESS. Emphasis on supposed.

      >>“thor” (thurs-day) and jove are not the same god “entymologically.”

But you only list names that sound like Easter: ishtar/astarte/oestre/eastra. Clearly, the implication is that Easter is related to these because of the similar sound. But it’s not.

      >> As for easter/ishtar/astarte/oestre/eastra

Hot dogs/hamburgers. You are repeating a popular meme (that Easter is etymologically related to Ishtar, etc.) that has NO BASIS IN FACT. Pointing me to a propaganda site on the Internet isn’t going to change that. The Internet is the problem. A lot of good, a lot of truth is out there, but there’s a lot of falsehood and rumor as well. Just because tons of people are hopping on the ‘Easter-is-pagan’ bandwagon doesn’t mean Easter is pagan.

From the site you linked to:

      >>>Easter was originally a pagan festival

Prove it. You can’t, because it’s not true. 19th century anti-Christian German scholars invented the supposed pagan festival and the supposed goddess.

No one is being manipulated by the word ‘Easter’.

As to weekday names, I agree it would be better to not name them after pagan “gods”. But frankly, no use crying over spilt milk.

You might be interested to know that in Greece, where Orthodox Christianity has shaped the culture for almost 2000 years, the names of the days of the week are:

      Lord’s Day
      Second Day
      Third Day
      Fourth Day
      Fifth Day
      Preparation
      Sabbath

      No pagan deities there.

If you wanna talk about deception and manipulation, how about the fact that you are essentially pushing the same idea as the radical anti-Christian atheists who make movies like _Zeitgeist_: Christianity is paganism disguised. This is supposedly shown by finding pagan antecedents to Christian beliefs, practices, words, symbols, festivals, etc.

Hello! Jesus Christ created the universe! He created the stars and the planets, the seasons, the plants, the animals. He created man, and He put His law in man’s heart. He is everywhere present and filling all things. Therefore, a lot of truth was present, albeit mixed with error, in pre-Christian philosophies and religions, because try as they may have, the demons and their followers could never fully suppress the truth. For example, the Zeitgeist people claim Jesus is a myth based in the Egyptian myth of Horus. The truth is that the myth of Horus is a dim pre-Christian reflection of the eternal, irrepressible truth of Jesus Christ.

Wow JL, you must be of very high intellect. I love reading your posts because they come from another field of intellectualism which I have not achieved. What educational degrees have you attained to, if you don’t mind my asking?

Regarding Easter: It’s whatever you want it to be…Jesus is not concerned about Easter. He’s finished the work…let’s celebrate His finished work at the cross every day of our remaining days in the earth!

    • Bon said

Hmmm….I had always heard it came from Ostara, or Esther, (the Goddess of Spring or fertility). She was worshipped by the old tribes of Europe. She sometimes has been shown as holding an egg in her hand. It is said that the practice of dying eggs has some hideous roots and the bloody red eggs were first found in the Greek orthodox culture.

The “goddess” thing goes ALL the way back and is very significant. I havent figured out how it pertains to Satan himself but I can tell you she plays a VERY important role. (Maybe Satan likes being a woman? lol). The catholic “Mary”(queen of heaven) and Columbia (seen EVERYWHERE in America) are heavy hitters. DC is SO Satanically inspired in its layout and it is in the District of Columbia.

JL,please don’t think me facetious but, are you Catholic?

    • Bon said

I just want to add that, although I do believe Easter traditions DO stem from pagan solstice rituals and goddess worship, I don’t give the day over to it and hide in a closet. Satan does not OWN certain days or SPRING itself! I celebrate the resurrection of our Savior that day because I CAN. His work overrides any other. I also celebrate the season of spring and its association with eggs, flowers, new bunnies, etc…The occult doesn’t own spring either! God created it and I love it!

    • Sundown Lady said

…That’s not to say I agree with everything you post…

Religion cares about Easter, Jesus does not. But then, religion seems to have become somewhat of a commercial industry, just another method of commerce…trafficking, if you will.

The Portuguese likewise use numbers instead of names for weekdays.

You may want to review that website again. The point made there about easter in Acts was key and how that was handled in the various Bible translations. Not to mention, the eastra = european god of the east note.

Couldn’t care less about zeitgeist. Never watched it and wouldn’t.

As for “Christianity being paganism disguised” we’d probably both agree that clearly does apply to far too many christian and catholic sects and cults. Syncretism and heresy are obvious problems. I’d guess we’d also agree that secular easter observances are even worse, bunny eggs, commercialism, etc. considered. We might disagree that Christian observances of Easter as a Crucifixion remembrance are proper. I’d simply assert that when Christ is the focus, then He can turn even a curse to a blessing, as he’s done with those he saves and the very cross itself.

We probably can “agree to disagree” on whether or not currently practiced “Christian” holidays derive from pagan holidays. Since we have scant little on God given holiday practices before Moses, there’s no foundation for saying that pagan holidays derive from true holy days or sabbaths in pre-history.

I believe Christ should also be acknowledged in family holidays; including birthdays, graduations, quinceñearas, showers, marriages, anniversaries, reunions, retirements, and funerals. Without Him — they’re all cursed. Even the prayer of the wicked is abomination. Wouldn’t be surprised if they also derived from or were related to pagan observances.

The focus of our warfare should be against the spirit behind easter practices that trivialize Christ and promote eggs, rabbits, shopping, etc.

Same goes for the other major US secular holidays (market holidays).
      1. valentine’s, cupid (fallen), lupercalia, wolf, romantic conquest, a beast, not a lamb
      2. easter, easter eggs (for the moon-god …)
      3. independence day, fireworks (for the mars-god, war… not peace)
      4. halloween, trick or treat (for the mercury-god, sorcery, hermetic… )
      5. thanksgiving, turkey feast (for the jupiter-god… not a fast)
      6. xmas, gifts (for the venus-god, mother of cupid by the way… )
      7. new years, father time (for the saturn-god aka kronos… )

      And again…
      1. The Antichrist is the false savior, the wolf clothed as The Lamb.

JL, this might be considered too, Bede born in 672(predating the 19th century), Bede states that the name refers to a goddess named Ēostre who was celebrated at Eosturmonath, one of the months of the Anglo-Saxon calendar.

      Ēostre
      From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“Ostara” redirects here. For other uses, see Ostara (disambiguation).

Ostara (1884) by Johannes Gehrts. The goddess flies through the heavens surrounded by Roman-inspired putti, beams of light, and animals. Germanic people look up at the goddess from the realm below.
Old English Ēostre (also Ēastre) and Old High German Ôstarâ are the names of a putative Germanic goddess whose Anglo-Saxon month, Ēostur-monath, has given its name to the festival of Easter. Eostre is attested only by Bede, in his 8th century work De temporum ratione, where he states that Ēostur-monath was the equivalent to the month of April, and that feasts held in her honour during Ēostur-monath had died out by the time of his writing, replaced by the “Paschal month”. The possibility of a Common Germanic goddess called *Austrōn- was examined in detail in 19th century Germanic philology, by Jacob Grimm and others, without coming to a definite conclusion.
Linguists have identified the goddess as a Germanic form of the reconstructed Proto-Indo-European goddess of the dawn, *Hausos, some scholars have debated whether or not Eostre is an invention of Bede’s, and theories connecting Eostre with records of Germanic Easter customs (including hares and eggs) have been proposed.

Yes, I’m aware of the Venerable Bede’s statement on the matter, which, as the text you’ve quoted points out, is the only mention we have of Easter not in reference to Pascha. The text you quoted also points out that some scholars think Bede made the whole thing up. Who knows? As an Orthodox, perhaps I should be the one defending St. Bede, but frankly, Church Fathers make mistakes. We have nothing to back up Bede, so it’s not a lot to go on.

      15 Sunday of All Saints

“The Orthodox Church observes the Sunday of Thomas one week following the celebration of the Sunday of Holy Pascha. The day commemorates the appearance of Christ to His disciples on the evening of the Sunday following Passover. It also commemorates the appearance of the Lord to His disciples eight days later when Thomas was present and proclaimed “My Lord and my God” upon seeing the hands and side of Christ.

This Sunday is also called Antipascha (meaning “in the stead of Pascha,” not “in opposition to Pascha”) because with this day, the first Sunday after Pascha, the Church consecrates every Sunday of the year to the commemoration of Pascha, that is, the Resurrection.”

    • JL said

That’s because we don’t usually call it Easter. We call the Feast of Feasts by its Biblical name, Pascha. It’s not listed there because we don’t think of it as ‘just another feast’. Pascha is beyond a feast, it is the reality Christians are called to live in every day. This is why we read the entire book of Acts out loud in church on the eve of Pascha, because the book of Acts shows us what it looks like when Christians are living in the Resurrection. Every Lord’s Day is devoted to the Resurrection, but also every day and every hour we should praise God for His triumph over sin and death.

*Note, I’m Snot trying to get involved in a debate about Easter just thought this was interesting.

      As follows:
Queen Semiramis also proclaimed that Baal would be present on earth in the form of a flame, whether candle or lamp, when used in worship.
Semiramis was creating a mystery religion, and with the help of Satan, she set herself up as a goddess.
Semiramis claimed that she was immaculately conceived.
She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and ovulated when full.
She further claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River.
This was to have happened at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox.
Semiramis became known as “Ishtar” which is pronounced “Easter”, and her moon egg became known as “Ishtar’s” egg.”

    • Bon said

Right on Patrick! Remember when she dressed like the silver goddess holding the giant star? Then later, she accepted her award with the bloody veil over her face (blood ritual). After THAT she did a duet with Elton John smeared with ash. The performance went on to depict a “re-birth” as a “phoenix” (Aleister Crowley anyone?).
OH! And who does she get all her inspiration from? Madonna (hmmm…what a name…). Well, we know that after Madonna did the “Grand Master” ceremony where she famously kissed Brittany, she was said to have changed her name to “ESTHER” (again! Hmmmm….). Many in Hollywood are into kabbalah.

Is it possible that as John the Baptist was to Jesus Christ, the False Prophet will be to the Lawless One? If this is true, then for now that makes Mahmoud and the Ayatollah seem like they fit that “playbill”. But there’s still something about that particular scenario that just doesn’t add up. If the Mahdi equals what the new ager/globalists…ecumenical/elitists…refer to as the World Teacher, then like what Bon mentioned above, it would seem that the current leadership of Islam is really in cahoots with globalism! So the PTB play and bankroll both sides…. one…more…time.

    • Sundown Lady said

I could be mistaken, but I think Maitreya is more regarded as the World Teacher by the new ager/globalists…ecumenical/elitists than the Mahdi.

The Mahdi seems to be particular to Islam as a means of inciting the Middle East to war against the infidel (the Christian West & Israel). Once they have done their best to wipe each other out, Maitreya comes on the scene as the World Teacher.

Is it not interesting that the woman in the vid is dressed the same as a Catholic nun? I believe it has been said before that Mohammad was actually influenced by the Jesuits and Islam is in reality of Jesuit origins. If that is indeed the case, then that would mean the NWO has been plotting these aggressions of Muslims against Jews and Christians since way back when. (They don’t know YHVH’s plan…they think they thought this up themselves.)

From what I’ve read, the Papacy is possibly not actually what it appears to be.

From UN documentation, the One World Religion seems to be more on the Buddhic plane than the Mohammedan.

Don’t get me wrong. I do absolutely believe that Mohammad had a vision in which a god-like creature appeared to him. But it wasn’t YHVH or sent from YHVH. It was an imitator of YHVH, a deceiver. I also believe he wrote down what he believed the god-like creature in the vision was telling him to write down [possibly with a little help from his wife, whose sister was a Catholic nun--which I have read, but do not have proof that is indeed the case].

I also believe that the Ayatollahs, the Imams, Ahmedinejad, etal., have all had visions, apparitions, etc., appear to them of the same origins as the god-like creature that appeared to Mohammad.

It wouldn’t seem likely that such a large number of people could worship an entity without having it manifest to and through them.

    • Sundown Lady said

…ergo, multitudes of people start calling out for and worshipping the demonic entity of the alien gospel…it will most likely manifest.

      Hi SL~
While I was not walking with the Lord, I read lots of Blavatsky, Bailey, Colonel Olcott, and frequented the Theosophical Society library in Seattle…. while also attending a new age cult-church known as the Aquarian Foundation (spiritualist/theosophical trash.) Bad stuff. The World Teacher idea comes from that ilk. Maitreya comes from Buddhist philosophy and eventually was incorporated into the “ascended master” pantheon along with Comte (‘Count’) St. Germaine, Djwahl Kul, Babaji, El Morya, ad nauseum. Maitreya is the World Teacher and is touted as such by the UN ngo’s (non-governmental offices) Share International and Lucis Trust. This Mahdi fellow and the Islamic “prophecies” about him seem to line up with many things Maitreya. Even the Scriptural references to the Lawless One (a.k.a. antichrist) sound suspiciously like the World Teacher/Maitreya/Mahdi script. All that said, this is why I’m coming to the conclusion that Islamic mucky-mucks are in cahoots (even as what Lenin called “useful idiots”) with the Luciferian globalists. Case in point, Shriner-Masons. A tricky world wide web indeed. Thanks for chiming in! Yahweh bless:^D

    • Sundown Lady said

Moment, that must have been an interesting side trip. I was invited to attend a couple of Buddhist “chanting” sessions, but it seemed so garbage to me I didn’t go back. I guess I haven’t done enough research into Mahdi to see the similarities between Mahdi/Maitreya or Islam/Buddhic religion.
Just from the little I know, they seem to be opposed, as Islam seems such a physically violent, “let’s kill the infidels” religion, whereas the Buddhic plane seems very meditative/non-violent, “let’s all astrally project and live in the parallel universe created in our transcendant state of cosmic consciousness.”
Can’t seem to make the connection…what am I missing?

Muhammad lived in the 6th and 7th centuries. The Jesuit order (“Society of Jesus”) was formed by Ignatius of Loyola as part of the Roman Catholic Counter-Reformation in the 16th century, almost a thousand years after Muhammad.

Muhammad had many influences, including Judaism and the Judaizing heretical Christian group called the Ebionites. It seems likely to me he had contact with Ethiopians or Coptic Christians as well, as certain Muslim practices, such as removal of shoes prior to prayer seem to be derived from them. But I’ve not read much about it so just speculation.

It should not be that difficult for them to corral Muslims, even though on religious grounds they are opposites. A Mahdi False Prophet showing up would quickly convince them to join other religions in god worship, especially, if they claimed they came from the stars and demonstrated great miracles for the masses.

    • Sundown Lady said

That makes a lot of sense Doug…something I never considered. Thank you. I, from a very narrow perspective, never saw the Muslim’s as being able to be corralled! I always saw them as having the “kill the infidels” mentality.

    • I agree Doug. Sundown Lady, take a look at the rift between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Shia is the extremist faction and Sunni is the more “moderate” version that could be corralled. Shia will create WWIII and be extremely surprised at who “their” Mahdi turns out to be, thus becoming marginalized and then the Sunnis will take the reigns on the world stage as the moderate faction and join with the rest of the world in a one world religion.

I can’t watch the “Mahdi is Near” video until later tonight before I go to bed…. eeeek. Last time I did that was with a video about The Rise and Fall of Hitler…. and I had nightmares about Nazi’s! :-O And I’m assuming this one will be worse because it involves future events… another eeeek. Oh well… Ew…. I had a dream with Charlie Sheen in it the other night!!! He was living in my house (even more of an “ewww’) and he was sitting on the couch downstairs with two ladies sitting on either side of him, he was smoking a cigar, and way focused on the television… and I came down stairs, shut the t.v. off to get his attention and I read him the riot act shaking money in his face all angry. It was weird…. and such a waste of dream time. :-/

Sadly, I could eat dirt before going to bed and still get wacky dreams… and they are always weird… and I mean waaaaay weird! Weird or stinking scary! It’s rare I have a dream I would want to stay in, which is probably a good thing… but then again, maybe not… I’m a day dreamer… :-O

Where did you see that Hitler film? Was it about the occult?

I rarely dream because I always have nightmares. I’ve been told my dreams are so horrific that I black them out. I do sometimes remember them and they are filled with anxiety. When my nightmares started I was in high school and bullied really bad and always dreamed about being slaughtered. They say you can’t die in a dream but you can lay there wounded as a bloody mess. I remember that quit a bit and that’s why I don’t remember what I dream very often.

More manifestations, my mom had an old co-worker over today for lunch. They’ve gone through quite a bit lately. She saw practicly the same thing hovering over her husband while he slept: it had fangs and was growling. She said it was the ugliest thing she’s ever seen. She didn’t have the ability to speak, so in her mind she said, ‘the Lord rebuke you’, and when she did, she then could audibly say it and it was gone. I remember recently one of us here had the same experience.

I would like to hear your story sometime.

  27. Captain Eagle said

I heard about this on all the talk radio shows today from Glenn Beck to Michael Savage. (And Savage HATES Beck’s guts with a passion, yet, here he was sharing the same shock over the story and actually AGREEING with Beck!!) It was interesting how I first heard this too. I was waiting in the Best Buy parking lot for the store to open so I could pick up a copy of The Ten Commandments (2 Easters ago I was watching this and I feel God spoke to me and said that Pharaoh is Obama and ever since I cannot watch that film without thinking of Obama in that role. Watch the film yourselves and you will see the arrogance and ignorance at play. This was long before he shoved Obama Care and all his other nonsense down the throats of America too and that is why I believe God imparted this thought to me. No everyone refers to him a Pharoah Obama.) so I was already thinking about miraculous Biblical stuff and how God did all of those things for the Israelites then this came on the air. And I couldn’t escape it all day.

According to Beck and Rush there are a lot of stories that have been coming out of the Obama Administration since last summer that a Palestinian state WILL HAPPEN by the close of THIS YEAR. One of them even had a clip of Obama saying that August will be when this will get pushed (why do these things ALWAYS happen in August from the bank collapses on?) Michael Savage only talked about the video and with every revelation he would exclaim “Oh, my God!” I believe he was truly disturbed by the motives of Iran being all laid out right there. (I think Savage is Jewish) He was talking about how the terrorist attacks in Israel are the first in something like 8 years but no one is reporting it. He covered how the Islamists fake casualties by moving bodies around and telling the west to look at what the Jews have done when it’s all a lie.

I, myself, recall several times over the years when the right wing pointed to Iran and the anti Israel rhetoric coming out of them and the liberals ALWAYS defended it and said things like “They just say that stuff to pander to the people. No one really believes it.” Etc. They SUPPORTED Iran obtaining a Nuclear bomb (read the stories coming out today, they are PLANNING to turn their nukes into missiles aimed at Israel.) and SUPPORTED the crushing of resistance AGAINST the current Iranian leadership. (Yet these same people are now SUPPORTING the chaos of collapsing all other middle eastern countries.) I am truly disturbed at how blatantly obvious and deliberate this all is yet no one seems to notice or care and when you do mention it you are labeled a kook.

Beck has said several times that he finds it interesting that the Islam prophecy dovetails with Christian prophecy but their guy is the Anti-Christ/false prophet crowd. I admit, I do find it intriguing that a lot of this stuff that Islam is waiting for but sees as a positive is exactly the same stuff Revelations speaks of as a negative. Why do you think that is? Has Satan tipped his hand in how he’s going to go about his business? I have never read the Islamic prophecies but have any of you? I’d be interested to know just how much in common they have with Biblical prophecy but from the enemy’s perspective.

I have one more comment. I heard this Trump thing from, I think CNN, where he wont drop this Obama birth certificate issue. I mean he’s like a pit bull with this thing (Amen!) I don’t expect this to go anywhere (these things rarely do) but I wanted to ask you guys this. Let’s say it does lead to a reveal of his certificate and we find out that the “birthers” are right and he isn’t a born U.S. citizen. What do you think would happen then? That would mean that legally EVERY SINGLE THING he has done in office has been illegal. Each action is a different FELONY. Right from the start (before the election) there was talk from the left that this law is outdated and shouldn’t matter and some even posed if he should be excused if it was discovered he had indeed lied and not been born in the US. To me that says they know something is up and knew it back then. John McCain even had to show his birth certificate.

I don’t know if Obama was born in the US or not but like everything about this guy it’s all shrouded in mystery. The same is true of his faith. He says things like “My Muslim faith” and “My Christian faith” and he goes to a church like that of Rev. Wright’s which either means it was a front or he really believes the hate that Wright preaches. I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt but I don’t see how you can become confused between muslim and Christian faith unless you are both or are pretending to be one or the other. I’m told his books speak of his Muslim faith too. We found out after Bush W’s two terms that his wife was pro abortion. What will we find out about Obama after his two terms if America can survive them?

And I say again, all Obama needs to do is show his birth certificate and this issue is gone. Yet for some reason he has had his birth records sealed and continues to fuel the controversy. Why? Why would you do that? To create distraction and confusion? Or to make your valid opponents appear to be kooks when they are actually right on your trail?

At the close of the 19th century, the British branded the Hmar people of northeast India as “the worst headhunters.” It was a label well deserved at the time. But in 1910, a single copy of the New Testament Gospel of John came into this village and changed the course of history for the Hmar people. Through that single copy of John’s Gospel, Chawnga, the father of Rochunga Pudaite, was introduced to a revolutionary “new life in Christ.” He and a few tribesmen “forsook all and followed Christ.” Chawnga believed that Rochunga was God’s chosen instrument to bring the Scriptures to the entire Hmar tribe in their own language.

This is the story of Rochunga’s personal pilgrimage. It is an unforgettable saga of his dedication to a vision and of the Lord’s direction in his life. Filmed in India, Hawaii, Scotland and America, this beautiful film will be enjoyed by the entire family.

I spend a lot of time in the study of eschatology. And I believe God has given me some wisdom and a bunch of knowledege. With knowledge (if it’s right or wrong)come some traps, such as pride, arrogance, or haughtiness. I must always remember what the Bible warns of this.

      Proverbs 26:12
Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him..

      Proverbs 18:12
Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.

      Psalms 131:1
My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.

      Proverbs 26:12
Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him..

      Matthew 18:3-4
And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

      Romans 12:3
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

      1 Corinthians 3:18
Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise.

      1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

      Thank you for your time.

      Mark1:17

In my opinion the fruit of the Spirit is more important than all, because one can quote the bible/debate endlessly and achieve nothing. Each to his own. Sometimes people get caught in an endless loop. But if one is caught in an endless loop how will the tree grow to produce its fruit if it never flowers?
If one has Christ he will eventually produce fruit, some not so quickly. If a person examines his own self in the mirror of the word then they will know if they are producing fruit, lest they deceive themselves (as in some of examples you gave above), if a person deceives himself a friend must come along and show him the error. No greater love has a man than he lay down his life for his friend.

      Matthew 7:19 (King James Version)
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

    • Mark1:17 said

      I agree,Patrick.

One of the things to consider in these times of end-time deception is the many various views on the Antichrist. there is deceit in that as well! Throw out the Muslim theory, for its origin is basically incorporated in that interpretation of the Muslim religion.

I cannot believe that The witness of saints who were martyred in the name of christ Jesus, those who acknowledged the seat of Ac in their day is not even considered by many of you on this blog.

    John B

    • John, read my interpretation above on comment number 1 about the Mahdi. I think you will find that, although completely wacky, is 100% in line with scripture. I have studied and prayed about it a lot over the past two years.

Don’t get me wrong, I give no credence and weight to a Muslim prophecy. I believe the Muslim prophecy was crafted by Satan. But know this, there WILL be a one world religion. Look around the world and ask yourself, “how on Earth is that possible. Muslims would NEVER agree to that.” For that to happen, either every Muslim on Earth would be dead or they have some kind of stake to play in the coming of the Antichrist. Hence, why I believe that the A.C. will be looked upon by the Muslim world as the Mahdi. Also, remember this is to Satan’s benefit, because it is he that desires a one world religion, so if he has deceived the Muslim world (which I believe it is his handiwork) than his goal is to somehow bring Muslims and the Christian world (but not true followers of Jesus) into the same camp. Through the interfaith dialogue trend, we already know this to be happening for a while now.

God bless you John. I trust you more that most about how to read scripture and its rightful interpretation. Please pray over this, because this rabbit hole goes deeper than any of us can even imagine.

    • john B said

Hopeful; I am in full agreement about Satan’s interfaith deception sweeping the corners of this world.

The reality of it presently is that the moderate Muslim is already on board.
The Mahdi thing is the radical Muslim concept for War (the destruction of the great Satan and the establishment of Muslim rule world wide). The Mahdi thing cannot fit into the NWO interfaith agenda as it is not peaceful. The Lawless One is a man of peace, not so the Mahdi.

The current events within the Arab World, which I now call a ‘socialist revolution’ backed by the NWO is part of the peace plan for the world.

I do not dismiss the possibility that the ranting of the Iranian president about the Mahdi is an attempt to gain the moderates on side.

The thing to remember is that the unification of the wicked within the beast system comes by the deluding influence by the hand of God Himself 2Thes2:9-11.

Mark1:17; There is such a thing as Purity of doctrine in God’s sight. that is why He gave Apostles, prophets, evangelists pastors, teachers for the edification of the Church.

Apostle Paul spent as much time defending the doctrines of faith as he did promoting them.

My resolution before God, if in doubt say nothing, only say what has been revealed and confirmed by the Word.

pastoral interpretations are exactly that “interpretations” often wind of doctrines!

There can be as many as a dozen interpretations of any particular passage of scripture. it depends which denominational language Mystery Babylon has issued one with.

I have come out of that system, therefore I do not speak her languages.

Jesus and his Apostles also never spoke her languages. The result criticism because they understood not!

I have not got a corner on the entire truth. but I know what I know. And one thing I know is that the deception is Ripe.

Sundown; The Souls which are given white robes and told to wait beneath the throne of God in Rev are all of pasr generations killed under the beast system of the Whore.

      John B

    • Perhaps so John. Another point to ponder though.

If you listen to what Muslims believe the Mahdi is- he is a man who will usher in a time of peace and justice. So in that regard, it matches the A.C. exactly. I understand your reservation, because you are looking at what those that believe in the Mahdi and do not see any evidence of peace there at all, which of course there is none. However, their twisted logic is that they will manufacture chaos so that the Mahdi will bring peace. So in that regard, the Mahdi IS a man of peace or at least will be viewed as such. Take none of what I said above as a personal belief in the Mahdi as a man of peace. IT is all deception.

Like you, not saying I have a corner on the truth, but I am also not ruling out that there is some kind of connection. I am open to it. Just as many people will be deceived, us disciples of Jesus may be deceived to not properly identify the deception. How is that for a trap?

    • Regarding pastoral interpretations… I hear you loud and clear on that too. No one wants false prophecies. You can choose to believe it or not, but I have specifically asked God about if there is a connection between the Muslim society and the rise of the Antichrist and I got a resounding ‘yes’. Don’t take my word for it though. Pray for discernment as see what He says to you.

Sales of luxe doomsday bunkers up 1,000%

Northwest Shelter Systems, which offers shelters ranging in price from $200,000 to $20 million, has seen sales surge 70% since the uprisings in the Middle East, with the Japanese earthquake only spurring further interest. In hard numbers, that’s 12 shelters already booked when the company normally sells four shelters per year.

“Sales have gone through the roof, to the point where we are having trouble keeping up,” said Northwest Shelter Systems owner Kevin Thompson.

UndergroundBombShelter.com, which sells portable shelters, bomb shelters and underground bunkers, has seen inquiries soar 400% since the Japanese earthquake. So far sales of its $9,500 nuclear biological chemical shelter tents are at an all-time high — with four sold in California last week, compared to about one a month normally.

Hardened Structures said inquiries have shot up about 20% since the earthquake — particularly for its apocalyptic 2012 shelters, radiation-protection tents, and nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) air filters

Vivos, a company that sells rooms in 200-person doomsday bunkers, has received thousands of applications since the massive earthquake in Japan, with reservations spiking nearly 1,000% last week. And people are backing their fear with cash: A reservation requires a minimum deposit of $5,000.

“People are afraid of the earth-changing events and ripple effects of the earthquake, which led to tsunamis, the nuclear meltdown, and which will lead to radiation and health concerns,” said Vivos CEO Robert Vicino. “Where it ends, I don’t know. Does it lead to economic collapse? A true economic collapse would lead to anarchy, which could lead to 90% of the population being killed off.”

The last time people flocked to purchase bunkers in such droves was right before the Y2K scare, according to Stephen O’Leary, an associate professor at University of Southern California and an expert on apocalyptic thinking.

“Tens of millions of people believe in a literal apocalypse, which involves earthquakes, storms, disasters of global proportions and especially disasters related to the Middle East,” O’Leary said.

Find the nuke plant nearest to you
But, he added, “Some believe that this is just a turbulent time and they have to go somewhere to ride it out.”

Elan Yadan, a clothing store owner in Los Angeles, is one of the many customers who rushed to find a bunker last week. Yadan secured a spot for his family in a Vivos’ shelter, putting down four deposits totaling $20,000 — $20,000 that had been earmarked for a down payment on a new house.

“I honestly didn’t want to do it, but unfortunately it looks like the worst expectations about the world are starting to come true,” said Yadan, who had been reading about Mayan predictions of a global meltdown in 2012. “With the things happening this week, it’s better to be safe than sorry. And what good is a house if you don’t feel safe?”

Yadan will be riding out any apocalypse in Vivos’ most ambitious project to date. The company has more than five 200-person shelters in the U.S. that are in various stages of construction, but this facility outshines them all.

The bunker, which is being built under the grasslands of Nebraska, is 137,000 square feet — bigger than a Wal-Mart — can house 950 people for up to one year, and can withstand a 50 megaton blast. Once completed, it will boast four levels of individual suites, a medical and dental center, kitchens, bakery, prayer room, computer area, pool tables, pet kennels, a fully stocked wine cellar and a detention center to place anyone who turns violent.

Plus, there will be a fortified 350-foot lookout tower for residents who want to see what’s happening in the outside world.

Once Vivos collects deposits from at least half the number of residents needed to fill the bunker, it will take them on a tour of the near-completed site. At that point, they must pay the rest of the $25,000 reservation fee.

That’s what Yadan intends to do.

“I’m not a psychic but I’m not a scientist either, so I’d rather err on the side of caution — and I’d rather survive and live in a bunker for a year than be wiped out,” he said.

    http://money.cnn.com/2011/03/22/real_estate/doomsday_bunkers/index.htm?hpt=C2

Somehow I don’t beleive a 25,000 bunker will save anyone from what is to come. You would be better off curled up in a bathtub or holed up ina closet with a flashlight and transistor radio.

I understand that my views do not always mesh with a lot of those expressed here. Perhaps that causes some to wonder why I’m even here. Well, I heard LA on Coast to Coast a few months back, and appreciated that he was countering the usual ‘the aliens are benevolent’ deception. I share the belief that the UFO phenomenon is demonic in origin. (Fr. Seraphim Rose, an Orthodox monk, was writing way back in the 70s that the UFOs were demonic.)

I also am inclined to believe that we are in the end times (technically speaking we’ve been in the end times for about 2,000 years! but you know what I mean). I have an interest in prophecy and Christian topics generally.

Am I Roman Catholic? NO. Am I catholic? You bet! Catholic means “according to the whole” in Greek. St. Hilary of Poitier famously defined it as that which has been believed always, everywhere, and by all: that is, the whole Gospel, the whole truth once and for all delivered to the saints, lived, taught, experienced, cherished, and defended by the whole Church united throughout time and space in the Holy Spirit.

As I have said before, I am an Orthodox Christian. As such it is my sincere conviction that the Orthodox Church is the Church founded by Christ and the Apostles which has preserved intact the Apostolic faith, without addition or subtraction. (The RCs have added. The Protestants have subtracted.)

I know you won’t agree with me on that LOL. But that’s my opinion.

I thought you were here to promote eggs. My wife is RC (Unorthodox)and I am an infidel because I like my eggs over easy with a side of bacon.
Informative posts that you have made but sometimes weak in congeniality for the sake of defense.
Now the big question is it legal to have an Ouzo with breakfast?

      LOL!

I’ll try to be more congenial! I just feel like the odd man out obviously because I’m the old-school guy on a decidedly new-school blog lol. But I don’t want to rub y’all the wrong way. I appreciate that pretty much everyone here takes the things if God seriously. It’s my conviction that we can learn from one another.

I’m primarily here to learn about prophecy and current events. Lots of great info here! I just get irked by the Easter is pagan thing, because I’ve done research into it and have concluded it’s an urban legend essentially. Again, that’s just my opinion. People can disagree, obviously. Wasn’t my original intention to be the egg guy lol.

JL, there are a few old school guys around and the older the crankier, I am getting a bit cranky myself.
I hear what you are saying about getting irked, that is why I try not to get involved in the Pagan vs. Christianity thing, but I do get drawed into it anyway sometimes. I guess that is the way life is we have to revisit somethings whether we like it or not. I had an old timer once say to me son, I have forgot more in my lifetime than you have learned! I am starting to understand what he meant!

      As Paul said:
1 Corinthians 6:12 (King James Version)

12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

    • JL said

“I will not be brought under the power of any.” Exactly! Christians are beholden to God alone. Nothing else is to exercise power over us. Nothing else matters. We are to move about freely and fearlessly. All things are clean to us, all things are lawful. What bothers me about the ‘traditional Christianity is paganism disguised’ meme is that it seems to rest on the assumption that ‘if pagans touched it, it’s off limits (i.e. unclean) to Christians’. Well sorry, but I don’t accept that. Did it bother God that pagans had incense, and priests, and animal sacrifices, and altars and so on when He instituted all those things for the Hebrews? No. It didn’t. It didn’t bother Him either that pagans were practicing a ritual akin to the “scapegoat” in the 24th century BC. Etc. Etc. Etc. The point is that rites, symbols and the like have meaning not in and of themselves, but because of the meanings we attach to them. Pagan animal sacrifice is different in meaning from Biblical animal sacrifice even though they look superficially the same. By saying this, I am not defending pagan practices. I am defending Christian freedom. Some see paganism around every corner, but “a Christian,” writes Fr. Alexander Schmemann, “is the one who wherever he looks finds every where Christ, and rejoices in Him.”

    ON ‘EASTER’ AND EGGS

    >>It is said that the practice of dying eggs has some hideous roots and the bloody red eggs were first found in the Greek orthodox culture.

This tradition is practiced not only in Greece, but throughout Orthodox Christianity. Eggs have been a symbol of fertility and rebirth throughout the world for millennia. Chickens begin to lay more eggs around this time of year as the days lengthen; so in one way, this is very logical that they have become associated with spring and the renewal of nature that spring brings each year. Like many Christian customs, “Easter eggs” may have pagan origins, but they no longer have pagan meaning to Christians. Remember that God makes every human being in the image of His Son/Logos. Furthermore, He created the heavens and the earth. The laws of the universe, some of which are understood by man, were instituted by Him. God made every human being in the image of His Son. Furthermore, He created the heavens and the earth. God made every human being in the image of His Son. Furthermore, He created the heavens and the earth. The laws of the universe, some of which are understood by man, were instituted by God. So within and without the human person the signs of His glory are inescapable. In the pre-Christian Gentile religions and philosophies, there was much falsehood and immorality. But in God’s providence, there were also shadows of truth. Throughout the centuries, Chridtians have been able to retain what was good in pagan culture while discarding the bad. In the Orthodox Church, at the center of the meaning of everything is Jesus Christ. In God’s providence, natural events like the season of spring, and natural objects like eggs, point us to the Truth of Christ. It doesn’t matter in the slightest that pagans may or may not have used these same things. If they did, it was probably because God was preparing them for Christ.

In the Old Testament, many of the customs, rituals, and festivals, including the Passover, were enjoined by God despite the fact that they had pagan origins or analogs. What God opposed was idolatry, the worshipping of other “gods”. All the regulations and rituals in the Old Testament were about worshipping the One True God, and Him alone. In continuity with this, the Church has appropriated many customs and traditions from the cultures with which it has had contact, reinterpreting them in a Christian way, and imbuing them with a Christian message, bringing them into “captivity for Christ”. Eggs represented natural fertility to pagans, but now they represent spiritual fruitfulness to Christians. They represented new birth, but now they represent the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the new birth He gives to those who trust in Him.

The eggs are dyed red to remind us of the Blood of Christ:

‘Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.”‘

Red is generally the only color the eggs are dyed, unlike in the West, because for Orthodox Christians, the center of everything is Christ Crucified (and Resurrected and Glorified, of course). The eggs point to the Triumph and Victory of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which comes through the Cross and the Tomb (hence, the red for blood). Sometimes they have letters on them standing for “Christ is Risen!”

In the Orthodox Church, “Easter” is referred to as Pascha, which is a word used in the New Testament, a form of Pesach, that is, the “Passover”. Christ is our saving Pascha. Pascha is about God’s good news in Christ Jesus, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. The Orthodox Paschal hymn is

‘Christ is risen from the dead,
    Trampling down death by death,
And upon those in the tombs bestowing life.’

That is what Pascha is all about, including the eggs. It has nothing to do with Ishtar or paganism. Hope that helps clarify things.

Sorry I’ve been so wordy. I’m notoriously long-winded! Please forgive me!

I was wondering when or if you were going to answer my question although I already knew the answer. Your relentless defense of pagan practice gave that away. I don’t wish to argue but I can’t, in good conscious, ignore your misleading posts. I find your propositions like “the historical fact of Ishtar goddess worship was made up in the 1900’s” ridiculous. Your “bloody eggs” justification is equally absurd. I won’t begrudge your presence ( I honestly hope you learn as I have learned) but I will protest when I believe statements are untrue and doctrine deeply distorted.

      I didn’t say that.

      >>Your “bloody eggs” justification is equally absurd.

I have no need to justify anything.

      >>I will protest when I believe statements are untrue and doctrine deeply distorted.

      As will I.
