It is with a deep sadness that we announce the passing of J. R. Church
Posted by lamarzulli on March 23, 2011
Our prayers are with Linda Church, Gary Stearman, Bob Ulrich and everyone else who has been part of the Prophecy in the News ministry. J. R. made a difference in this world and he never tired in talking about Jesus and prophecy….
I for one am indebted to him for his service to our Lord… Blessings to you J. R…..

Great man. May he rest in peace. I’m sure he heard the words we all hope to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Come and share your Master’s joy.”

Cap’n AKA the “S” word,
The Man Behind the Ministry
No one but God knew it, but Prophecy in the News began on November 17, 1938 in a little house in Abilene, TX. Follow the life of J.R. Church through his own eyes as he tells us the story of his life. This miniature autobiography will put a smile on your face as you see J.R.’s life come alive in print and pictures. There’s so much you don’t know. Did you know J.R. has a twin brother? Or that he grew up with Buddy Holly? A violin player? A Soap Box racer? A Ham radio operator? An MG lover? Where did he meet Linda? Who led J.R. to the Lord? How did Prophecy in the News get started? A fascinating read! Meet the man behind the ministry.

More importantly..
J.R. is heaven now. A man I have highly respected. What a loss, he was a blessing to Prophecy and without doubt is in good company now as he has led multitudes to the lord.

J. R. Church has been an important part of my Christian life for many, many years. His love for our Lord, his prophecy teachngs, his books, etc. He was like a “back-up pastor” to me. The main thing to remember about him is his total devotion to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. What a role model! What an inspiration to study deeper and to “know” God.
He will be deeply missed! But we know now that his suffering is over and he is in the bosom of his Savour!

I have a general question about Mystery Babylon, It says to come out of her, if this is the whole world political system how do we come out of her? Does this mean spiritually or physically? and if physically where can we go that is not already part of this system?

Now if that doesn’t bum me out to no end. ): He is one of my all
time favorites & I love his demeanor. I’ll keep that in the present tense
because we know where he is now & he beat us there!
Did anyone read his latest book “The Bloodline of the Anti-Christ”?
Perry Stone’s dad recently passed on as well. The Lord sure has been taking
quite a few of the classic Bible scholars/pastors home lately! I wonder what that means
for us middle agers & whipper snappers?
