What are we Instructed to do?

Commentary & Analysis

by

L. A. Marzulli

Every morning after the wifey and I have had our reading from the Guide Book to the Supernatural i,e, the Bible, I sit at my desk and scan the comments. Most of the time I leave then well enough alone, but this morning some of the comments have caught my attention and so I decided to post on that subject which instantly divides Christians, The Rapture.

We are told that we shall rise to meet the Lord in the air. I love that passage. I have had a vision of it, and I posted it here shortly after I received it. I believe in the Rapture of the church. I also belive that the Shroud of Turin may be evidence of the first rapture, Jesus resurrection! Now I’m really ticking some of you off! LOL!

Seriously, we know the Rapture will happen at some point and as demonstrated by some of the posts yesterday, this can be a hot button issue. Most often it divides us rather than bring us together. That being said, what are we instructed to do? We are instructed to destroy the works of the devil! We are living in a time that is unprecedented. The enemy grows bold and the supernatural is manifesting like never before. There are signs in the heavens! Earthquakes like the one today at 7.5. Volcanos that threaten to choke the skies. The gulf stream that may have stalled due to the oil spill. The AIDS epidemic that continues unabated. The slaughter of millions of unborn babies in abortion mills around the world. The New Age deception that tells us that we can be god. Satanic ritual magic that is pumped into our homes via, Lady Ga Ga. With all of this happening in our faces some of us want to argue when we get taken up! It’s exactly what the enemy wants. It is nothing more than a distraction that keeps us from carrying out our mandate of destroying the works of the devil!

I’ve said this before and I’ll post it here again. I have sat through lectures with charts and graphs, by very well-educated men that preached on the three different positions of when the rapture can occur. They all can’t be right! If we are intellectually honest, we can agree that in fact no one really knows when it will happen. I’d rather be fighting the works of the enemy until I get beamed up, than arguing when it’s going to happen. To me it’s pointless.

The endless debate about the rapture takes our eyes off the ball. It removes us from engaging the enemy and destroying his works and instead sets us against each other. We know the well-worn adage, divide and conquer and this issue is certainly divisive.

At some point it will be self-evident as to when the Rapture occurs. That said, it’s none of my business as to the when of it! He is in charge of it, not me. I would rather spend my time posting about the Great Deception that is all around us. Trying to awaken the sleeping church that is unaware of the coming great apostasy. Pointing to the signs that we are told are the birth pangs, in these last days. Speaking boldly about the promise of eternal life through the shedding of Yashua/Jesus’  blood. Most of all rescuing those who are caught in the deception!

In closing today’s post. When I had the vision of the Rapture, we were all gathered in the air, as far as I could see. We weren’t bunched together like sardines, but were spread out. There was a silence, a reverent silence because all of us who had been gathered knew exactly what had happened and where we were. There was also no sin nature. We were all translated in a twinkling of an eye and made like Him. I can comfort you with these words and they are comforting to know that at some point they will happen, but I will not badger you as to when …. Fight the enemy not each other!

PLEASE. PRAY. FOR. MY. MOTHER’S. SALVATION. BEFORE. SHE. DIES, instead of arguing about the rapture. I am asking you on behalf of my mother and on behalf of Jesus Christ that some Kingdom work be done here.

Please pray for my mother. She is expiring rapidly and won’t go to hospital and the ambulance won’t take her unless something happens. She has COPD and its in its final stages. She can barely breathe. It’s 80F outside and she has the heat on in here. She’s chilled and has a heating pad on her back which is hurting. Her ear aches and she’s stuffed it with chopped onion between cotton balls into the cavity. Hospital told me when she was there recently that all her physical energy goes to just breathing. She’s stopped eating for the most part. She drank a milkshake today that I made with ice cream, fruit and protein. Her fever is 100.9F or 101.4 depending which thermometer is used/read. She’s 81 years-old. I could go on but I won’t.

Please, I beg of you pray for this situation and my mother.

      Praying for your mum, Mary!

My friend’s dad passed away the other night. He’d been a Jehovah’s Witness all his life but his daughter has prayed, believed for his salvation and talked and prayed with him and did all she could do to lead him to Jesus. You know what? Too weeks before he died, he was slipping away, saw hell and then Jesus met him. He came to after that and had two weeks – being born again before he passed on.
Our Lord is so merciful, so loving.
I pray that in Jesus’ precious name, that the god of this age who blinds the mind of your mum, would be bound now, and that the Spirit of Truth, would reveal to your mum her need. May she know that Jesus died for her, paid the price for her. That He has risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father, and that He has also prepared a place for her. Amen?

      Love and hugs!

      Dear Mary:

I have prayed ferverently in my heart for your mother. I know the anguish you feel. I pray for your peace as you remember that the Lord loves her even more than you do and will do all to help her call out to Him in whatever way he decides. Trust Him, pray, and trust Him more. God bless you and your mother and your family so much. Amen Mary!!

I pray, too, Mary, for your mother, and for all of our lost and unsaved loved ones. I know how your heart aches for her. I pray that our dear Lord will open her eyes to see her need for Him, and to see His great love for her. May He bless you, Mary, and your mother.

You are all witnesses to a miracle! While the world was sleeping, arguing, fighting, buying into satan’s deceptions, I put out the call for Intercessory prayer and He heard and answered those prayers! The Lord visited our home last night! Praise Him! Praise all of you for having eyes to see and ears to hear Him!

Prayer is so powerful. Praise the Lord. The Lord knocked us out last night. I don’t know how that happened or how He did that. Perhaps someone loosed the Heavenly spirits of sleep, peace and calm. I don’t know. We both slept like newborn babies. Perhaps all your prayers, too…thank you so much for this. The Lord is so Almighy and Powerful and He keeps His promises. All Glory to our Father who art in Heaven…

Mom seems a little shaken this morning. She’s not saying why. Her voice is strong, yet weak. I cannot describe this. Her eyes are clear. She’s breathing okay –well, okay for her. All the pain is gone from her ears, shoulder and legs. I keep trying to get her to drink her juice and bring her medicine to her but she refuses to be ‘served’. She’s not off the couch yet. She’s been sleeping on the couch for over a year now because she had trouble with the roof and she’s afraid it’ll cave in over her bed. It’s been fixed three times. I keep telling her we can switch rooms. She insists on sleeping on the couch. She seems content to just stay on the couch and look out the window. I think she’s got it firmly in her head that she will die at home. Please keep her in your prayers as I’m going to try to get her to take her medicine, drink her juice and a bit of smoothie. I’m also going to gently tell her about all the people who are praying. And tell her that I feel the Lord has intervened on her behalf. Talk to her quietly, kindly and with love about Jesus and her Salvation………..

The following is from my Pastor…

Devotional thought – 1 Ki 17:12-16 (NIV) 12 “As surely as the LORD your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.” 13 Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.’” 15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.

Faith is something that is hard to define until we have to exercise it ourselves. This widow had to make a choice: Do what Elijah asked and if he was tricking her take the chance that she gave away her last meal, or do as he asked and find that she and her son have supplies to survive the famine. Now some may look at this situation and say “What did she have to loose”, yet she gave everything she had, as little as it might have seemed at the time.Heb11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, “ Our walk with God is like that every step of the way. From the first moment we have to believe and trust in Jesus Christ, to those times we when we need faith to believe that God can do something out of a situation that may seem impossible, just like the widow in the scripture. We will only experience the blessings and benefits to come, after we take that step of faith.

You are yet witness to another of the Lord’s miracles! My mother is alive! He healed her symptoms in the night!

Way to nail this one down LA! I don’t care when it happens either, as long as i can remain faithful to the end, and wait upon the Lord.

Also, if folks are interested, Future Quake does have a few archives about the Rapture that will give you food for thought if anything else. I am not saying I agree with the episodes, it just got me thinking about the possiblities, and made me more watchful.

Long story short, wait for the Lord’s timing.

In God’s Love letter to us, in the New Covenant,(the Holy Bible),Jesus’ deciples asked him what the signs were of the end of the world, the first thing He said was “take heed that no man decieve you”, If you know the Truth, you will be able to detect the false (the counterfeit). He also said watch and be ready. Why watch and be ready? “For ye know not what hour our Lord doth come”, Matt 24:42. So, in His parable of the 10 virgins we are to be of the 5 wise ones. So keep your lamps filled with the Oil. We are the lamps. God’s Word is the Oil.

The entrance of thy Words giveth light; it giveth light unto the simple. Pslm 119:130

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, a light unto my path. Pslm 119:105

Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get Wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

      Prov 4:7

Forever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in Heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou has estaablished the earth and it abideth. Pslm 119: 89-90

      Bless God!

Well said, but I do care when it happens because I want out of here as soon as possible ;-) LOL
We can and should have lively discussions about the Rapture and end times events, but never ever be disrespectful or hurtful to others. This is not the way to show christian love. I enjoy the blogs and they always stimulate thought about how the fallen ones will deceive the lost and some of the fence sitters. I was led to think the aliens kick started us here on earth in my late teens. The church I was attending didn’t have answers to my questions and chariots of the gods did. Well I still felt something tugging at my heart and finally saw the truth of the ONE and only true GOD and His SON JESUS, it was like a curtain was lifted and I saw demons instead of aliens, nephilim instead of our earthly neighbors. Lynn, you are doing something special here and I can’t understand why so many don’t want to talk about the true ufo meaning. I hope and pray that GOD will open the eyes and ears of those around us before it is to late.
    Your brother in CHRIST,

  4. Well said. I’ve been saying the same thing for a while now. The examples in the Bible of people being removed all occur at different times, but what is evident is that people are always removed before the destruction.

Jesus told us that we don’t know when it is, so I think the examples in the Bible were designed so that we couldn’t figure out if it was beginning, middle, or end. As you said, He is in charge of that, so it isn’t even that important of an issue as long as we’re part of those taken, whenever we get taken.

    Hi everyone,

I used to say: We don’t know when the rapture is, but concerning the tribulation, it’s better to be prepared to be in it and we are taken out before it than not to be prepared. It’s better to be prepared for something that doesn’t come than not to be prepared for something that does. Everyone who has experienced a war will tell you that.
Then, a while back I noticed how similar Moses and Jesus are in their respective roles. I think there is even a verse saying “a prophet like Moses”. Anyway, I was reading about the plagues sent against the egyptians a few weeks back and something struck me: They are incredibly similar to what happens during the tribulation. Even the frogs are in the revelation: It says that frog-like spirits came out of the the Euphrates (if I remember right). So I went on digging into this and I was simply stunned. Anyway, based on this, I think that the rapture is like Moses taking the people of Israel out of Egypt. Which means that it would happen after at least part of the revelation plagues. I don’t know if this is true or not, but I think it’s interesting. Better be ready for it. I’m not saying that these plagues of the tribulation will all harm us, but some plagues came on the Israelites as well. Plus there will be persecution.
This to all the pre-tribulation rapture believers: I can’t prove you wrong and I won’t, but I it’s like playing with fire. Be ready for something. And if we do see these plagues, it will be great: We will see the Lord bringing justice and showing that He is indeed Lord. And no-one will doubt that He is. And most will reject Him for it.

My Mothers “2nd Dream” about an alien invasion. Interesing to say the least.

I detailed in an earlier post about a month and half ago that my mother (65) had a very vivid, scary dream about a large number of crafts with aliens coming to earth who were killing people in large numbers in cooperation with people on earth.

My mother is a very godly women. She knows the bible inside and out and although I have discussed my enthusiasm for the “fallen angel” nephilim theories, she takes what I have to say with a grain a salt. She model’s what christians should do, listen, discern for yourself and then pray for discernment.

I find dreams intersting. Probably because I am a bible prophecy nut and I’m looking for Joel 2:28 in comparision to the end times we are in. “It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.

I read and research articles, books, blogs, you name it for about 4 hours a day, regarding bible prophecy, the fallen angel phenomenon, mufon and ufo sitings and about dreams and visions tied to bible prophecy and the rapture. I just enjoy reading about other peoples dreams and visions and how they interpret them.

I bring this up because I understand that some times people have dreams when they are constantly thinking about a subject or when they are concerned about something or someone. I’ve had one rapture dream when I was walking and then a force field of energy with a loud bang made me disappear. It scared the living day lights out of me. I woke up in a cold sweat and I nearly jumped out of my bed.

My point is that I research the UFO phenomenon extensively and I never dream about UFO’s, aliens or the really about bible prophecy. My dreams are rather boring.

In my research about people who have had dreams or visions there is usually one common thread. While in a dream or vision the person having the dream feels as if he or she is experiencing all 5 senses in that dream or vision. It’s as if they are there. I cant say I have really had that experience so I can not relate.

My mother sleeps a lot. She is on disability for a rare auto immune disease. I usally call her 4 times a day just to check up on her. Well this morning I called her at about 10:00 Denver time 12:00 Cincinnati time. The phone rang and rang and then she finally picked up.

In a panic, she said you just woke me up from another one. I said another what mom? She said let me catch my breath. She said son, this dream was the prelude to my first dream. I said, what do you mean mom? She said the aliens! She said in the first dream the aliens where on earth killing people. Like the first dream I felt as if I was there. The senses were real altohgh I dont recall smelling anything. In this dream I felt as if it were the revealing before the attack.

What I find interesting about my mothers two dreams is that they sound very similar to real recorded mufon sightings, which I dont discuss in detail with her.

Anyways, in her dream she was walking with 3 other couples in Cincinnati down a street window shopping. They were on their way to see a movie some blocks away over a hill. In her dream she knew where she was. She was walking toward downtown Cincinnati. Cincinnati is very hilly. In fact downtown Cincinnati sits in a depression surrounded by hills.

In her dream as the couples came over the hill they witnessed a large alien craft. She said it had no sound and it was enormous. She said the craft had smoke coming around it as if to disguise it self as a cloud. She said the craft was not a large typical craft like a saucer. She said it was taller more than it was wider. She said as they continued to walk over the crest of the hill and the could see that the city was in pure panic mode. She said people were running in every direction. She said that she thought that it was odd that people were looting?

She said the craft was over the city and it was as far the eye could see. The fear and panic it caused was indescribable she said. As her and the other four couples realized what was happening they began running back towards the car. She said as she turned back towards the car she was eriely attracted to the sky. She described it like the aurora borealis in Alaska. Wierd waves of green and gray. She also noted that she could tell that the craft was a form of metal?

Again I just listened. Trying not encourage anything other than what she could recall. She just kept saying son I can not tell you how real and scary these dream are.

It’s was as she was running back towards the car that I called and awoke her.

It’s probably just a dream but I find it interesting that a 65 year old women would have these kind of vivid dreams other wise suitable I would think to a teeager who saw terminator the day before. Its just intersting I think.

La sorry for the long post.

      Hi Richard:

This is very interesting with your mom. Encourage her and help her not to be scared by letting her know that the Lord is indeed showing her something and that she should be praying about this. I don’t believe it is a coincidence…the Lord does give us dreams many times to show us what is to come or to warn us in some way of what may be coming. It happens with me and my friends often and it is usually so that person can pray for whoever or whatever the dream was about. I will pray for your mom as well, because I can imagine those dreams must feel very terrifying. Help to encourage and strengthen your mom and pray her for as well. God bless you both. Amen!

Does anyone ever wonder if any of these theories come o pass just how large of a city merits a UFO or a dirty bomb? Do you think only a big cities will see this stuff like New York, Chicago, and LA or moderate sized cities like Detroit, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh will also see them? If you remember the movie Independence Day those discs came to the largest, destroyed, then went to the next largest down. Since we assume these discs wont destroy right off what sort of cities do you think will see them? I also want to avoid being anywhere near a city who may be targeted by terrorists with their dirty bombs so the question is where should we go?

Captain Eagle, you live in the N.E…..have you (or anyone else) heard about this? Another source I read said they’ve evacuated some of the workers at the plant, so I’m not sure.

    “Alert at PPL Nuclear Plant”

“An alert has been issued at PPL’s Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant near Berwick after a leak inside one of the buildings.

“PPL officials said no radiation was involved.

“PPL officials said freon is leaked from a cooling system inside the Unit 1 reactor building. PPL said the freon is still leaking and crews are trying to determine if it is safe for workers to stop the leak or if special teams using oxygen suits will be needed to stop the flow of freon.

“The freon supplies a cooling system in Unit 1. There is another system that cools the building. No one was hurt……”

Nope. It’s news to me. It’s amazing what we don’t hear in the local news.

I live within a hundred miles of a nuclear plant and sometimes I wonder what will happen if anything ever happens there. Most people here are unaware of it because it’s in another state and can’t be seen from here but is it close enough to harm us if it ever blows?

Wasn’t there a case like this one you’ve posted a few years ago in the NYC area and they took all the people to a stadium and claimed it was safe? This was at least 5 years back.

  15. I couldn’t agree with you more L.A. I know I was one of the commentors from the earlier blog post. I do not usually get caught up in rapture debates. To be honest, the when of it does not really concern me. I have humbled myself over the years and shed my pride, so I never argue that I am right and others are wrong.

The only time I do speak up about the rapture, and I stated this in the earlier blog post, is that there is a potential for a great falling away of our brothers and sisters in Christ. And to me, this is a very REAL concern.

In other words, if I believe in post-trib and it comes early, I will be happy. If others believe in pre-trib and it comes later, many will fall away from their faith.

That is my whole point and the only reason why I engage in those debates. It is out of love, mercy and concern for my fellow Christians about THAT particular risk. Not because I want to engage a never ending, dividing and distracting debate.

Amen, it shows a caring heart on your behalf. we all have differing gifts and levels of faith by God’s grace.

I stress Grace! The Pharisees were outside of grace.
Any true follower of Jesus receives understanding by Grace. The whole Christian Life is By Grace.
“If I am a Pharisee Then My Lord was one”. and of cause He was not.
what I share on this blog is carefully pondered before writing.

While we can agree that as Christians we should do all we can to be ready for the Lord’s return,no matter what,I think this acceptance of any doctrine that is not scriptural is foolish at best and dangerous besides! There is something wrong with a belief that just suddenly comes up over the last few years and takes hold of people, especially in this age of deception.

Does it matter? I think it does. When Jesus said certain things must take place before He returns,He was giving us signs to watch for, things that must be fulfilled. Things like the man of sin being revealed,a one-world church and government, terrible tribulation, martyredom,…Things those alive will be able to recognize. If Christians are taken out of the world, supposedly, before those things happen, wouldn’t they tend to deny them as occuring,if they didn’t think it would be happening in their lifetimes?

How many Christians are failing to strengthen their faith and “gird their loins” because they think they will escape these terrible times to come? How many are apt to lose their faith if it seems God has forsaken them by not rapturing them away when they identify what is happening, those signs Jesus spoke of?

How do we know that this “great deception” won’t mimic the Lord “rapturing” people? Because if it is a “secret” return,it wouldn’t be like the Lord’s return where “every eye shall see Him”. Sounds like a sneaky doctrine to me! As Satan can present himself as an angel of light,it is true that even the elect could be deceived.

In response to the Lord’s return coming as a thief in the night,1 Thessalonians 5:4 says “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”(KJV)

I believe if I am going to be in error,I would rather err on the side of caution, and that means being skeptical of any belief that seems to be just “tickling the ears” of it’s listeners, which a pre-trib theory seems to do,offering a false assurance that they will be spared the grief that will accompany the reign of the antichrist.

    I will add this:

“…no hint of any approach to such belief can be found in any Christian literature from Polycarp down…. Surely, a doctrine that finds no exponent or advocate in the whole history and literature of Christendom, for eighteen hundred years after the founding of the Church – a doctrine that was never taught by a Father or Doctor of the Church in the past – that has no standard Commentator or Professor of the Greek language in any Theological School until the middle of the Nineteenth century, to give it approval, and that is without a friend, even to mention its name amongst the orthodox teachers or the heretical sects of Christendom – such a fatherless and motherless doctrine, when it rises to the front, demanding universal acceptance, ought to undergo careful scrutiny before it is admitted and tabulated as part of ‘the faith once for all delivered unto the saints.” (Robert Cameron, Scriptural Truth About The Lord’s Return, page 72-73).

“…It appears to be little more than sixty years old; and it seems highly improbable that if scriptural it could have escaped the scrutiny of the many devoted Bible students whose writings have been preserved to us from the past. More especially in the writings of the early Christian fathers would we expect to find some notice of this doctrine, if it had been taught by the Apostles; but those who have their works declare that they betray no knowledge of a theory that the Church would escape the Tribulation under Antichrist, or that there would be any “coming” except that spoken of in Matthew 24, as occurring in manifest glory “after the Tribulation.” This is all the more significant, because these writers bestowed much attention upon the subject of the Antichrist and the Great Tribulation. Augustine, referring to Daniel 7, wrote: “But he who reads this passage even half asleep cannot fail to see that the kingdom of Antichrist shall fiercely, though for a short time, assail the Church.” (Edmund Shackleton, Will the Church Escape the Great Tribulation? pp. 31, 32, cited by Alexander Reese, The Approaching Advent of Christ, p. 231.)http://www.theologue.org/origins.html

    And more here:http://sowingseedsoforthodoxy.wordpress.com/2010/07/29/the-rapture-why-the-orthodox-dont-preach-it/

Granted, this is not the only belief that is dividing Christians,to be sure. I’m not implying in any way that only those who believe a certain way will be saved,by no means! I am saying that deception is rampant these days, and we need to question everything in light of God’s word, and beware of anyone who will twist scripture to say something it doesn’t,just to please the listeners.

    • Amen amen amen thousand fold. It is because of this that I think Christians should not have ANY focus on the rapture what so EVER!!! All eyes on Jesus. When you are floating in the air, then and only then shall you say, “hey, this is the rapture.” That means, pre-trib people let go of their desire to be raptured and post-trib let go of their desire to convince others their theory is correct (for the sake of a unified church).

  18. Sandie said

Like you said,Hopeful,”…The only time I do speak up about the rapture, and I stated this in the earlier blog post, is that there is a potential for a great falling away of our brothers and sisters in Christ. And to me, this is a very REAL concern.”

It’s not about winning people to one side or the other of the debate,it’s about warning those we love to watch out for false doctrines of any kind! (of course, that almost quarantees we won’t be popular, but who are we trying to please? God or man?)

In a world full of mega-churches that preach to the masses, those who speak some cold hard truths will be shunned. Didn’t the Lord say He came to divide? His message does cause division, and that is what sets us apart from the world. (Amen!)

It will be even more evident as laws may force us to really take a stand, and we need to prepare spiritually for this, and not be swayed. The only way to do this is to pray fervently for God’s word alone to be dictating to our hearts and minds.

Just as I am sure Marzulli’s message of aliens as demons is not very popular with those who are looking to them for hope in this troubled world, the message of Tribulation is not appealing to those who don’t want to face that possibility. And we know even now Christians all over the world are being killed for their beliefs, why weren’t they spared? Why should some of His people be more special than others?

Because of these differing beliefs is precisely why it should be discussed and evaluated.

In reply to Sandie, the rapture theory can be traced back much earlier than you stated. Here is a short article to prove that from Chuck Missler. Again, this doesn’t change what we do for Christ, the timing of our departure doesn’t matter, but we are not asleep to know when His return is at hand. Remember, the early church in Acts thought Christ was returning in there life time. They were selling everything because they thought he would show up at any moment. 2000 years later, the church is still looking for his return. We now have the signs to prove it could happen any day. Look up, our redemption is near!!

    Byzantine Text Discovery:
    Ephraem The Syrian
    by Chuck Missler

In recent years, many opponents of the pre-tribulation rapture view have made dogmatic assertions that this view was never taught before 1820 A.D.1 There have been attempts to attribute the origin of this view to John N. Darby.

Grant Jeffrey has found an ancient citation from a sermon ascribed to Ephraem of Nisibis (306-373 a.d.), which clearly teaches that believers will be raptured and taken to Heaven before The Tribulation.2

Ephraem of Nisibis was the most important and prolific of the Syrian church fathers and a witness to early Christianity on the fringes of the Roman Empire in the late fourth century.

He was well-known for his poetry, exegetical and theological writings, and many of the hymns of the early Byzantine church. So popular were his works that in the fifth and sixth centuries he was adopted by several Christian communities as a spiritual leader and role model.

This sermon is deemed to be one of the most interesting apocalyptic texts of the early Middle Ages. The translation of the sermon includes the following segment:3

“For all the saints and Elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins.”

This text was originally a sermon called On the Last Times, the Anti-christ, and the End of the World. There are four existing Latin manuscripts (the Parisinus, the Augiensis, the Barberini, and the St. Gallen) ascribed to St. Ephraem or to St. Isidore . Some scholars believe this text was written by some unknown writer in the sixth century and was derived from the original Ephraem.4

The sermon describes the events of the last days, beginning with the rapture, the Great Tribulation of 3 1/2 years duration under the Antichrist’s rule, followed by the Second Coming of Christ. In Ephraem’s book The Book of the Cave of Treasures, written about 370 A.D., he expressed his belief that the 69th week of Daniel ended with the rejection and crucifixion of Jesus the Messiah.5

This, of course, doesn’t prove that the pre-tribulation view is correct; only that it was held (by some) in the early centuries and was not unique to the revival of the 1830’s. It simply documents that this view was held by a remnant of the faithful from the beginning until today.

      Brandon,
You are correct on this information. The theory or interpretaion of Paul’s letters to Corin. & Thes. alludes to the catching away. I believe in the pretrib. rapture, but not for the reasons I keep hearing. I don’t believe I will be spared any hard times or troubles, however the 70th week that Daniel talks about is a time of judgement and God’s wrath. The Bible is clear on the righteous not receiving God’s wrath, ie; Noah & Lot. We are not righteous on our own merit, but through Christ who saves us. I am not trying to argue with anyone, I have my own opinions. I do think we should be focusing on witnessing at this crucial hour and not fighting about the timing of the rapture. It will definitely be self evident very soon.

I disagree with the Chrisitan Media reference regarding Chuck Missler. Mr Missler is one of the most accurate christian teachers I have ever come across. I have yet to find fault in any of his teachings. Not to say that his teachings may not contain some faults. There may be.

  20. Amen Mr. Marzulli!! I posted a similar blog to my website a while back talking about this, only I was speaking on KJV-onlyism. We are just called to be One body in the Gospel, “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was resurrected on the third day according the the Scripture, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve” (1 Corinthians 15:1-5), because it is the Gospel “by which we are saved.” Anyone who disagrees with that is a heretic or false teacher who is to be accursed, not things like the Rapture or which Bible translation to use (Galatians 1:8). 1 and 2 John speak a lot on how to recognize a false teacher. Anybody who denies that Jesus is the Christ and is from God is a false teacher. All this arguing over the little things is due in a large part to the pride of many Christians, and it might as well be an infiltration by the New World Order. It’s not, but it might as well be. God hates pride, as it does Satan’s job for him without Satan having to lift a finger.

After all, we can’t understand every part of Scripture. Psalm 119:89 states, “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” That right there tells us we will have disagreements within the Body, but we must be united in the Gospel and sharing the cure that will save the world. As 1 John 3:2 states, “it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.” His word will be settled in heaven, but right now we “only know in part” and just “see through a glass darkly” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

    • If I argued my stance for its correctness, it would be pride. As it is, I am simply pointing out a natural consequence of believing one thing and being disappointing to the point of rejecting ones faith if it doesn’t come true.

Not accusing anyone who believes in pre-trib that they lack faith to overcome a let down (not at all), but there are many who will shake their fists at God and become angry and disillusioned.

Maybe I missed this and if someone else has already posted about it, I apologize for the repetition.

But I just saw the ad for the movie “Skyline” coming in November regarding an alien invasions plot.
What struck me was the main theme illustration showing an immense blue ship in the sky and people floating upwards toward it. People from all over.

I immediately was struck by how many could interpret this as the rapture moment. Hollywood is getting into this more and more.

The world could say the entities took the evil ones away that were holding up progress and the evolution of mankind.

Some in various churches unfamiliar with the scripture, might interpret this as a rapture to unite us with God.
Later if people were returned and told of meeting “god” it would be a perfect way to get people in line for the acceptance of Antichrist.

To the debate. I think it is left as a point of argument as God wants us discussing the Return of the Lord and without a provable point the debate goes on. A good thing IMO.
Also, I believe God has left it this way so Satan and his forces have no idea when it will happen either and therefore will be unable to attempt an interference.

I’ve studied all the teachings including the pre-wrath and partial rapture versions. Well, it just made my head spin. So, as you say L.A., we take out eyes off the ball. I decided not to be closed minded about the rapture, but I don’t focus on it as a subject to be debated. There are many great Christians teachers and writers who have very persuasive arguments, there is no doubt about that.
So I have taken the perspective of “when it happens, it happens”. I will be ready and possibly suprised!!

  26. Sandie said

Rapture or no rapture,it’s a fact we could die tomorrow,so yes, being prepared to meet our maker should always be foremost in our priorities!

That being said, there are so many “balls” to keep our eyes on,we could get derailed from our main mission, which is to share the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.

If Islam has it’s way, world tyranny will happen sooner than we think, and that is one of the terms describing the time of Tribulation. Who else would cut off our heads for testimony of Jesus?!

Just seeing what is happening with the debate about the mosque in New York and what it represents should concern all of us. They are using our right for freedom of religion to impose a religious-political system that takes away the right to live and worship freely. Obama has appointed devout Muslims to head departments of Homeland Security. (That sure doesn’t make me feel more “secure”!)

He has said in his own book,”Dreams from my Father”,”I will side with the Muslims should the political winds blow in an ugly direction”. The Saul Alinsky book,”Rules for Radicals” is dedicated to Lucifer,if that says anything!(That’s the handbook of Community Organizers like Obama, and many of those in politics who espouse “Change” from our fundamental way of life.)

These elections in November and beyond carry heavy implications. For one,it’s possible there might not be any elections,if there is sufficient “emergency” to cancel them, because laws are written to give the president unrestrained powers to implement Continuity of Government,NSPD-51,for whatever he deems an emergency. Or,we could be under attack,if some of those “dirty bombs” go off anywhere. That could be the beginning of martial law. If it gets blamed on some supposed “domestic terrorist” who is unhappy about the state of the country, the possibility is there, and laws in place,to round up and detain anyone else with the same belief, who may be guilty of speaking out against the unconstitutional direction our country has taken.

With the U.N. Rights of the Child,we have our government about to turn the reigns of parental authority over to an international body, unless by the grace of God it doesn’t go through!

We’ll have a new campaign soon to encourage everyone to take these vaccines they tried to get everyone to take last year, under the false threat of a global pandemic. It has been rumored that these may contain ingredients to bring about a resurgence of the 1918 flu, which killed millions.

Just try convinving people that there is a depopulation agenda in the works by “the powers that be”,and people will really think you’re nuts! “No! The government only wants what’s best for you!”…Ha!)

Earthquakes, fires, floods, solar flares,…any day it could be in our home town that the next disaster occurs,by natural or man-made devices(seismic, scaler weaponry).

So,yes,we have alot to keep our eye on,but mainly we need to be focusing on how the Lord can use us best to bring Him glory throughout it all.

I pray He strengthens each and every one of us in better service to Him with whatever gifts He has given us,and to love one another as He first loved us.

We can all agree we are here at this blog because we believe Christ is our beloved Savior and we are all looking forward to going home when it is our time.

    To that,I say “Maranatha”!

    • Wanted to comment about one portion of your comment about Islam would want to cut the heads off of people who give testimony for Jesus.

The book of Revelation mentions swords many times (i.e., Authority over one fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword), but makes a distinction of a two-edged sword many times.
Revelation 19:15 Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations.

I find this reference curious. A look at two-edged swords, many connect this to Christianity and when the sword is thrust into the ground the sword and the hilt would make a cross.

But more than that, one has to ask the question, if making a distinction of a double-edged sword is so important, what is significant about a single edge sword.

An Arabic Sword has one long sharp edge.
      http://www.wreckamovie.com/system/shot_medias/0000/0629/arab1l.jpg

Not saying this is a correct interpretation, but I find the connection to be very VERY interesting.

And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4)

This is what I was referring to.

When it comes to Jesus,I think of His word as the sword of truth, from Ephesians 6:17,”And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Maybe someone else can give more insight into what you are curious about.

By the way, that was one mighty sharp-looking sword you linked to! I’d rather have that one over a dull one any day! (Although the guillotine may be better still;no room to wiggle around and wind up having to have them make more than one go of it!)

    • Yes, the two-edge sword is the word of God. Back up two verses in Revelation and it says:

19:11 I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. 19:12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. 19:13 He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called “The Word of God.”

  27. May I say, reading back over these comments, none of the people who are proponents of post-trib doctrine have any venom or anger in their comments. Nor do I hear any prideful debate with facts and scripture being thrown down to prove one correct or the other incorrect. It is all words of warning about keeping our spiritual armor on and being prepared for anything.

I believe this to be good advise for us all, no matter what side of the doctrine debate we fall on.

I agree,Hopeful. No one is condemning anyone else for what they believe about the rapture, because it has nothing to do with our salvation anyway! Way to go. You devolved into exactly what LA was warning against. Spread the Truth to the world, don’t waste you cyber breath on battling others within the Faith! I’ve heard everyone from cigarette smokers to pretribbers are “in danger of hellfire.” Its all junk…God loves us and has a plan accounting for the free will choice of good and evil men. Use your free will to inform and battle against the spiritual force that opposes us.

And one more thing at LA, your last paragraph momentarily filled me with something I haven’t felt since an experience I will always remember…the FIRE of God’s illumination 5 years ago in my buddies basement when we were discussing things of this nature. Transcendental peace filled us for over an hour and awaits ALL of us :]]]]]]

    Blessings in agreement and disagreement

    Cowgirl,
No hard feelings on my part! Chuck may be a great guy and I might love to be his friend, but I just disagree with some of his teachings. I don’t hate the man! If I only loved people who shared my point of view,I’d not only be shallow, but pretty lonely, too!

To answer your question,I offer this:

    Romans 11:17
“But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.

This is a perfect picture – – but it is a picture of individuals – Not nations. Those “people of Israel” who refused to believe God, are like branches that have been broken off the Spiritual Olive Tree of God’s Grace. & those Gentiles who have believed God

We are like wild olive branches that have been grafted into the Spiritual Olive Tree of God’s Grace. & so now – unbelievably – we also receive the blessing that God promised Abraham & his children, & we share in the rich nourishment from the ROOT of God’s special Olive Tree, which is ISRAEL. That is incredible! As Gentiles, this is the Greatest Blessing God could give us. That we have been grafted into the root of God’s Blessings. It is incredible, & it is wonderful . . . But – we have been grafted in, we have not replaced the Root (Israel).”
    ————————————————————————————————
I won’t quote my source for that direct quote, since I haven’t looked at every little thing that site says or espouses, but this quote sums up my belief,as far as I know. I don’t see any reason not to think this, but I haven’t given it a whole lot of thought. I remembered the story of being “grafted in”,and that is where my belief comes from.

Would you like to share your ideas about this also, and perhaps tell me the significance of your question?

    • cowgirl4mylord said

I believe that God s word is true and he will never forsake Israel , those that curse her he will curse.. I believe we believers are the bride of christ but we do not replace his chosen people the Jews..I don’t buy replacement theology. I was just wondering where you were coming from. I take the word of God as solid truth no need to spiritualize it . thanks for your reply, no harm intended just different views and or belief

    • Sandie said

Then there’s something we agree on! We probably agree on a whole lot more than we would disagree about! You believe Jesus died for your sins and we are saved by grace,…so do I,and the rest depends on alot of different things. I am not judging where another may be at on their walk with God. For a long time,it seems all I did was drink spiritual “milk” before I got to the point of being hungry for more solid “food”. I learned alot from those main-stream preachers, too, and I don’t discount every word they say. Something led me to learn other points of view, and when I heard them, they sounded like real truth to me. I know my walk with God has been amazing these last couple of years in ways I can’t describe, but my husband and I pray diligently to be led to what He wants us to know, and so for us,certain teachings stand out in ways that wouldn’t have before.(And if you watch the video I recommended,it’d be obvious why I think like I do!…I’m saying that with a smile,by the way! Not like I’m trying to hammer you with it! Please don’t be offended.)

      1 John 4:1
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

For a long time,I spent my life learning to live how God wanted me to,learning about loving our enemies and thinking on good things. Then I stated looking at politics and how Satan uses people in power to promote the agenda of the antichrist. The more I got to know “the enemy”,the more I learned how deceptively he inserts himself into leading God’s children astray, and my antennae has been up ever since.

I think there is probably some more sinister implications in the rapture being a lie,and that it may well fall in with Lynn’s “great deception” warnings. That’s one reason I bring it up here….Food for thought!

    • Let’s not underestimate the power and influence of the coming two witnesses. I believe Jews, as in any person in any religion, can receive salvation, but they will STILL need to believe in Jesus as the savior.

There will be many Jews, imho, who will finally see that the coming Christ is the Jewish Messiah AND he had come before. They are all one and the same.

Does anyone have their eye on Glen Beck? I was reading a Rapture Ready thread the other day about him sounding more like a Christian but the former Mormons were commenting that he doesn’t sound converted as there are still some catch phrases & concepts they are still picking up on.

An acquaintance I know loves him & since Beck has been on a real “religious” kick lately – this has inspired him to start praying & read the Bible. I asked him if he ever read one entire book of the Bible but he only looks up the specific scripture Beck quotes.

He comes from a Catholic background & it doesn’t seem like he ever had a real relationship by surrendering his will & following Christ.

Then he said that Glen Beck is the 2nd best leader since the coming of Moses & that he’s organizing some big “faith” event @ the Washington Mall in order to unite people for a common cause & take back America.

This is sounding sort of ecumenically fishy to me.

    • Sandie said

He may be appealing to the “God,Guns, and Country” crowd. I’ve noticed another media personality becoming religious, too.(I won’t say who, because someone might accuse me of being a follower of so-and-so!)

However,God can still be working through him as well and if he gets people to think about God,that’s probably a good thing! (I doubt he will preach that “Jesus is the only way” though.)

I think Beck has hinted that there may be opposition to this event.

Hope not! (Pretty bad when the race card trumps common sense, but that’s what the media has been pandering to.)I think of the media sometimes as “Good Cop/Bad Cop”,and even those saying “Peace and Freedom!” are still just playing their roles according to the dialectic principals. It’s all orchestrated.

Even FOX news is over 40% owned by Saudi’s. Some say that’s why none of it’s employees will touch the Birth Certificate issue.

The powers that be just want us to destroy each other and not pay attention to what is going on behind the scenes.

I’ve been listening to Glen Beck for the first time ever this summer. I usually have talk radio on in the background as I work so it’s not really listening listening. Anyway, my take on Beck is I don’t care for the juvenile humor of his show. I took note he sounded very Christian but it only took a quick google search to see he was a mormon. I don’t get Fox News so I’ve never seen his TV show but I am aware of David Barton of Wall Builders who Beck has had on lately and they are a Christian group. A VERY Christian group. I know some think that Beck is a pawn of the government but I have heard a lot of Muslim stories from him and the other conservative talk radio hosts I’m not seeing in the news. This morning he replayed a clip I had hear earlier this year of a Jewish author at a college asking a Muslim girl who disagreed with him if she was for or against Hamas and Hezbullah after he explained they want the Jews to be in Israel so they’re easier to slaughter. She coldly said “For”. This sort of stuff is never reported in the news and I think that these talk radio programs are valuable for this alone. I believe that guy’s name was something Horowiz but because I can’t watch You Tube videos I’ve never searched and posted that video. Maybe you want to look it up.

As I said before I don’t look to any of these political hosts for Christianity. Beck’s a mormon, Rush talks a good game but doesn’t seem to live a Christian lifestyle, Hannity is catholic, and Levine and Savage are Jewish. I enjoy Savage even though I disagree with him on homosexuality because he sounds like a straght shooter. He’s in the model my grandparents were in that they tell it how they feel it is to heck with being PC and I respect that on a human level.

On, and I wasn’t aware Beck’s 8/24 rally was religious in nature. I thought this was a Tea Party thing.

Where in the world do you get your information?

Fox news…In August 2005 the Murdoch family owned only about 29% of the company. However, nearly all of these shares were voting shares, and Rupert Murdoch retained effective control of the company. Nonetheless, John Malone of Liberty Media had built up a large stake, with about half of the shares being voting shares. Therefore, in November 2006, News Corporation announced its intention to transfer its 38.5 per cent managing interest in DirecTV Group to John Malone’s Liberty Media; in return it bought back Liberty’s 16.3% shares in News Corp., giving Murdoch tighter control of the latter firm

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.’s shares

That’s a far cry from “Even FOX news is over 40% owned by Saudi’s”

This is pure propaganda at it’s finest. Stop speading lies and half truths.

    • matt said

      Sorry, thats spreading, not speading.

It’s probably too late for this to be seen, but all anyone has to do is Google “Fox news controlled by Saudis…”

Sandie, I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume you can read.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.’s shares

I’m not sure how you do your math , however, 7% is not having control of a company, once again I asked you do further research and get your facts straight…you are spreading propaganda lies and being deceitful in your accusations

    • Sandie said

You are not reading the full story!

And instead of calling me a deceitful liar, maybe you should learn to read between the lines and understand the bigger picture.

Here’s an example of what else can be gleaned about this topic.
      http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/pawnn-already-told-ya-bout-saudi-princes-increased-fox-news-stake-rotanamurdoch-incest/blog-383221/

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.’s shares, making Kingdom Holdings the second largest shareholder.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_Corporation

    • Matt said

Once again I stress, 7% does NOT make “Fox news controlled by Saudis”.
I did not all you a liar, you’re a bit too sensitive, I said you are spreading lies and disinformation you gleamed off some rouge internet site that’s scrupulous at best. There is no reading betweens lines here, 7% is 7% no matter how you want to twist the numbers.
Do you believe every random site you come across? I can tell you first hand there is a lot of disinformation out on the net and you must use discernment in these sites to see if there is an angle of political or spiritual slant they want you to believe. The old saying “there is a sucker born everyday” still holds true to this day, more so with the junk coming from the net today. Take things you read on the net with a grain of salt, some of it contains half truths, like your Saudi & Fox News story…Simply because you read something on the net does not make it true.

    • Matt said

By the way, in your earlier post you claimed “Even FOX news is over 40% owned by Saudi’s” How is this not spreading disinformation? You yourself said in a later post its only 7%.

Maybe it’s me and im not understanding you correctly, is it 40% or 7%?

    • Sandie said

Okay, your words…”spreading propaganda lies and being deceitful”. Who’s being sensitive here? I hear “You are being a deceitful liar”. Same thing, right? (That’s okay,I’m not always the most tactful either.)

Maybe what I meant in my earlier post is that it has a very large share, being the second largest shareholder,in what goes on. That could be interpreted to mean exactly what I meant to say. And if anyone does their own search, they can see what a large influence these saudis have in what goes on. That was my point. I didn’t say they had 40% of the shares, but their control is probably closer to the 40% mark.

This mirrors other ways that this group is controlling and influencing this “fundamental change” Obama spoke of,from our courts to our schools to our right to spread the gospel, you name it. This is a real threat to our way of life.

I hope you’re not overly devoted to FOX news,or any main-stream news source for that matter. These media-moguls are all a part of the same globalist groups that want to end our national sovereignty, decrease the population, and take away our God-given rights.

Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing.

    • matt said

I have to be honest here, I don’t watch fox news because of any political slant, I watch because of the wonderful reporters on staff such as Martha MacCallum, Gretchen Carlson,
Courtney Friehl, Lis Wiehl, Megyn Kelly and the list goes on and on. These ladies are extremely talented and have helped propel Fox News to the top of the cable news ratings
I’m not sure who is in charge of hiring over at Fox News but they deserve an award

    • Sandie said

I think Rush Limbaugh refers to them as “Info-Babes”!

I watched Bill O’Reilly back in 2005-06,but pretty much gave up television after that time. When the digital switch-over took place last year,I got rid of it altogether. I don’t miss it. (PBS was creeping me out-too much “programming”,if ya know what I mean!)

You should read up about that HDTV converter box and VEIL technology. That TV is just as apt to be watching you as you are watching it! Not only that, but the switchover was done to make the analog waves cleared up for tracking purposes,as in the RFID chip, which is in the Health Care Bill,…

      I’m a talk-radio fan,myself,but I spend alot of time looking “behind the scenes”,trying to Connect-the-Dots,so to speak.

Since our little discussion,I am vowing to watch my words even more carefully and hopefully leave less room for misinterpretation or misunderstandings!

      Peace?

    • Matt said

Peace. I was not mad or angry, I couldn’t care less about fox news or whom it has ties to. Sorry If I came on a litte strong didnt mean it that way. Sometimes on the net its hard to read feelings of the person writing. Its hard to show emotions through writing. But I honestly, didnt feel any ill will towards you.

By the way, as the web site below shows, we can see why Fox News is a few steps ahead on CNN in ratings, not sure if its because of the “fair and balanced” reason they fox news claims.

The sixth seal brings forth the Day of the Lord and lasts until
the Lord Jesus Christ sets his feet upon the earth. It begins with
sudden destruction. It begins with an earthquake, the sun becomes
black and the moon blood red. Those on the earth hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains and said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of His wrath has come and who is able to stand? After this in Rev. 7:9 there is a great multitude which no one could number of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with
palm branches in the hands. This is the Church, The Bride of Christ, those that are dead are resurrected first and those that are alive are called by Jesus (the last trump of God) which is not
the same as the last of the trumpet judgements, receive their new immortal body and meet Jesus in the air and shall forever be with Him.

    lynn,

i can comment today on what the LORD has been showing me lately about the rapture—

specifically, that it is an ingenious STRATEGIC WEAPON against the enemy!!!

so much of what God does for the universe/mankind is taken for granted, or attributed to lucifer by his followers-
the rapture is the wake-up call to creation about who wields the REAL POWER…
after the rapture, the enemies resources will be stretched beyond his limits-
because he is not God, all of his energies will be devoted to trying to keep up appearances-

i have had a few friends who have lately even lost their jobs for their profession of FAITH…
it seems to be the enemies last strike at Gods people because he knows his regime is
    ABOUT TO FALL…

the rapture has been portrayed by some as an “escapist doctrine” because
they do not truly grasp the military/strategic significance of its nature…
the rapture is a purely offensive weapon against the enemy which will lay bare
every weakness and shortcoming of his supposed power…

the rapture is symbolic of God not only judging the earth, but withdrawing his resources…
so that the enemy and every one of his deceptions will be exposed…

one area which we are already seeing is the weather-

california is experiencing its coldest winter ever in history-
moscow is choking on smoke and an unprecedented heat wave-
pakistan is underwater from the flooding- (water breaking)
china is enduring a monstrous mudslide…
the oil spill in the gulf is a sign of coming tectonic buildup of methane pressure…
earthquakes and their severity are becoming commonplace every week-

after the rapture, mankind will demand to now why satan cannot rescue them from the natural calamities befalling them…

but he will not be able to provide an adequate answer-

    because he is NOT GOD…

this is the strategic significance of the rapture-

    oh and btw-
Christians all over the planet are receiving visions and dreams that the rapture is imminent-

whether tonight or tomorrow is not even the question anymore-
    because it is a certainty…

in revelation, the dragon spews forth water from its mouth to kill the woman and her child-
i believe this water is symbolic of the demonic anointing we are experiencing and fighting right now…

but the EARTH swallows up the demonic power, and rescues the woman and her child!

this is metaphor and symbolic of the rapture…

  39. I know this is old news, but I was looking back over the Lady Gaga stuff and I watched her performance at the VMA’s. Yikes!! First she shows up with kermit the frog. Does that make her Miss Piggy? Then she has an over the top performance. She starts out with feathered horns and at the end she gets covered in blood. At one point she licks her fingers, but no where on any of the coverage or photos do they show that. You have to look closely at the live performance. Then the very end she is raised above the stage from a rope. Raised from the dead? Who knows? When she accepts her award, she has a blood colored red lingerie on with what looks like a blood Crown.

Perhaps I am seeing into things, but all of this seems very blasphemous to Jesus the King of Kings.

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way, and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre.”

I rarely read about the rapture since I personally have no conviction in my heart that there is any rescuing the saved before tribulation, only scriptural evidence of the wicked being removed, and I see no evidence for the three comings of Christ; once (the first time), twice (to gather up all the rapture people) and thrice (to come and establish His Millenium)but that’s not why I am writing… I am writing about a vision I read years ago from a woman, it is a shame that I cannot put my hand on it now, but it rang truer in my heart than anything on the rapture I have ever read before… she said there were Christians in all phases of life, by far the most with their heads down, gathering the stuff of this world to themselves, but a very few who had long since let go of the things of this life, whose eyes were heavenward, as if waiting for Him to appear. When He did appear, it was these, and only these who began to rise up to meet Him, the others either not noticing Him or being to “heavy” with the stuff of this life to be able to rise up. It wasn’t exactly that, but that is my paraphrase, as best as I can remember it. anyway, that’s all i wanted to say

    Good word and timely,

I don’t adhere to the philosophy that it could happen at just any moment. My current thinking is that it will either occur with the 6th Seal, or at the time of the 7th Trumpet. Those being a modified pre-trib view (Peter Goodgame’s “Red Moon” timing) or a pre-wrath rapture and resurrection.

I haven’t planted my flag in either timing, but I’ll take sooner over later if possible! I believe we have some serious birth pangs and a few “seals” in the days to come.

Right now it’s time to be advancing God’s Kingdom, and working toward a coming harvest.

    • Ruby said

      Terry,
I think it will occur during the sixth seal and yes the birth pangs
are getting closer and more intense. Christ took the scroll from
the Father and opened it after he arrived in Heaven after his
ascension and sat down at the right hand of God. We don’t know
what will take place until He calls us, but we must be about
the Father’s business advancing God’s kingdom, like you and others
      have said.
