Sunday Go To Meeting Bun… Bow,Bow,Bow

Posted by lamarzulli on March 28, 2010

Please don’t be alarmed by the todays title. It’s a line from a song that was made popular by the Blues Brothers, specifically, Dan Aykroyd. The song was called, Rubber Biscuit. It used to crack me up and I do a fairly good impression of Aykroyd singing it. Every Sunday my wife or I will say, “time for a Sunday-go-to-meeting-bun… bow, bow, bow! So please don’t be offended by my seeming lack of respect for the day. This is a new feature and if the feedback is good I will continue it every Sunday.

Today is Palm Sunday. All over the news we see shots of people holding a palm branch. At churches across America, millions of people are hearing about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey and the crowd laying their robes and palm leaves along the way. While all of that is true, in most churches the importance of the event has been dumbed down and even obfuscated. What happened on Palm Sunday was the fulfillment of the prophecy that we find in Daniel 9:24-25 Here it is in full:

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

The highlighted part is what I want to call your attention to. It is here that we realize that the angel that has appeared to Daniel is setting up a ticking clock. He is saying very clearly that from the time of the command to rebuild and restore Jerusalem until the Messiah comes there will be seven weeks and three score and two weeks. Here’s the same passage translated a slightly different way:

Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven  will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One  comes.

We know from archeological evidence that the decree to rebuild Jerusalem was given by Cyrus, and if we count the seven sets of sevens, which are years, we arrive precisely at the date of when Jesus rode into Jerusalem which we celebrate as Palm Sunday. This is the only time in Jesus’ ministry where he allows himself to be worshipped as a King. This event is what drives the Pharisees over the top and they then seek to kill Him. The Pharisees challenge Jesus, asking Him to stop the people from crying out, Hossana! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Jesus declares, that even the rocks would cry out if they are silenced. I take this literally – but that a discussion for another time! Jesus is fulfilling prophecy as he rides into Jerusalem on the back of the donkey. This is from Zechariah 9:9  Below are the exact phrases.

Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

So not only is Jesus fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel but also of Zechariah. What is sobering is that the people who were living at that time did not understand what was happening, including the religious leaders of the day. We see Jesus weeping over Jerusalem saying, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, how I would have gathered you as a hen gathers her chicks but you did not know the day of your visitation…. In other words, Jesus is holding the nation of Israel collectively responsible for knowing and understand the prophecies! This is what happened on Palm Sunday. The Messiah rode into Jerusalem, precisely to the minute, on the back of a donkey, fulfilling not one, but two prophecies and yet they missed it! Are we any different today when we are warned from the same book, including Jesus own words that when the son of man returns it will be like the days of Noah? The church is steeped in tradition and unfortunately most people don’t understand the prophetic significance of the day that we are celebrating! All of that to say this. Wake up, we are in the days of Noah! His return is soon!

They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.” Luke 19:41-44

    Dr. Lynn,

I still have my “Blues Brothers” ALBUM. Yes, I still have a large collection of LPs as I am sure many who read them BLOG do.

To quote your next to last sentence, “The church is steeped in tradition and unfortunately most people don’t understand the prophetic significance of the day that we are celebrating!”, I couldn’t agree more. Thankfully and FORTUNATELY we have sites like this that bring the Truth to light to those who are willingly blinded, blinded by the enemy’s deceptions, blinded by greed, ambivalence and flat out apathy. If not for your information made available to any who are willing to change their paradigm (especially regarding “Aliens” and Nephilim) we would still be living in modern day Dark Ages.

I personally thank you, others like Tom Horn, David Flynn, Guy Malone (just to name a select few) for helping me connect the dots I have been seeking to accomplish since my childhood.

On this Palm Sunday, may the Lord Jesus Christ Himself protect you, your family, your ministry and His calling upon your life to be a Light in dark places.

Btw, have you ever heard of a wish sandwich? A wish sandwich is the kind of a sandwich where you have two slices of bread and you, hee hee hee, wish you had some meat…Dr. Lynn, you truly are a “Soul Man”. :0)

    In Christ,

    Jeff D

Thank you so much for this post today! This is the type of reminders that are so needed and that we are not hearing in our churches. I just wonder how many people realize that “Palm Sunday” was a fulfillment of prophecy! PTL!

Thanks for posting this today. There was almost no mention of the significance of this day in our church service this am. Thank you for taking the time to make it the ‘big deal’ it truly is.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and give you His peace.

    Until all have heard,
    -Stephen

    • Oh, I so wish you could of been to our service today. Boy did they drive home the message. Our service starts with modern songs played by our church band and every song they chose this morning was upbeat and joyful. We were all so filled with joy going into the sermon we didn’t even see it coming. And then she proceeded to lay out the passion of Jesus and she was so caught up with the coming suffering and significance of Jesus’ crucifixion she started to weep during her sermon. Every soul in that church felt like we were caught up in a joyful Palm Sunday heralding His coming only to be told how wrong and serious our assumptions were. We are sheep among wolves. Jesus associates himself as a brooding hen with little defenses against a fox. And yet, no matter how dire the circumstances seem or the number of teeth and claw marks this hen receives, there is nothing that will defeat the power of the coming of the Lord.

I got the palm message 100 fold over yesterday morning.

    • The above testimony of course was the human and psychological significance of Palm Sunday. I don’t want to diminish in the slightest the prophetic significance of this event that L.A. spelled out perfectly in his post. L.A., God bless you and keep you.

    On a different note:

Has anyone seen the news yesterday about a “New Species” they found. On the news, looking at a skeleton of what they think it might look like compared to a human skeleton, it looked the same, only MUCH MUCH LARGER, Nephilim anyone???

I haven’t read too much as of yet…but it’s on my “To Do” list. Hi everyone,

Please pray for a new friend who had some frightening ufo related experience is Quebec,
Canada. His name is Al Williams and he has missing time, ufo and alien encounters in the Gateneau Hills north of Ottawa. Dan Aykroyd made reference to this in a recent interview
shown below. Al was one of the persons who received a telepathic message to look outside
his cottage in the early nineties. Al is open to the things of God so pray that he will experience God’s grace towards eternal life. Also please pray for Dan Aykroyd as well, as
he has had deceptive ufo and spiritualism experiences.

Dan Aykroyd and the end of the world? by DOUG ELFMAN, Las Vegas Review Journal

The apocalyptic movie “2012″ wasn’t good enough for the Oscars to take seriously. But a small cast of celebrities are taking the hit film’s premise seriously: that 2012 could be the end of the world as we know it.

Stars who have ruminated publicly about 2012 being The End include Woody Harrelson, Lil’ Wayne, Joe Rogan, Montel Williams and the grande dame of New Age spirituality, Shirley MacLaine.

You can add Dan Aykroyd to that list.

Aykroyd and I were catching up the other day because he’s in Vegas to autograph bottles of his Crystal Head Vodka at an Albertsons (4 p.m. Tuesday, 10250 W. Charleston Blvd.).

And he’s giving Wednesday’s keynote address at the Nightclub & Bar Convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Because Aykroyd is a pop-renaissance man, I started by asking him about his many interests: The House of Blues (he and his partners sold it in 2006, but he’s still spokesman-consultant); Crystal Head Vodka, which he co-created (no chemical additives); and “Ghostbusters III” (the script’s closer to being done).

Then I asked Aykroyd, 57, about his interests in UFOs, which led to this:

He thinks “the UFO phenomenon is going to figure greatly” in a 2012 “revelation,” when “the end of the world will come.”

“It won’t be the end of the world physically as we know it, as depicted in the movie. But it will be the end of consciousness and the end of perception as we know it.”

Aykroyd is a “great admirer of George Knapp,” who has chronicled UFO phenomena for decades in Nevada.

And Aykroyd, a lifetime benefactor of MUFON.com, has visited the town of Rachel on Extraterrestrial Highway and marveled at “real photographs” there of sightings.

“These aren’t hoaxes or fakes,” he said. “Dozens of Army officers, police, sheriffs, emergency workers — people who are outside all day, all night, all the time — are consistently coming forward to report events.”

UFO phenomena could be elements in a 2012 realignment, perhaps as mass revelations or mass sightings, he said.

“Mass telepathic content has already occurred throughout North America on many occasions, the last notable one being in 1994 in (Quebec), where there was an incident that involved about 2,000 people being called to their back porches to look up into the sky and witness an event with a craft at the same time. That was a telepathic event where they were all contacted.”

Clearly, some kind of end is near, he said.

“As Shirley MacLaine puts it: The light is going to go out in the next few years, 2012, and a new perception will come on.

“Whether that has to do with the dominance of dark matter in the universe — or some triumph/domination of good and evil — the light we know now, whether that’s a good light or a bad light, is going to change.

“There’s going to be a phase-wave shift in everything, and that’s very exciting. I don’t think it’s destructive. I think it’s going to be very constructive.”

I asked him how we should prepare.

“I think we should open our minds and start being better human beings to each other, and accept that this may be the way of life. We’ve got to be more compassionate, more loving, more positive thinking.”

A worst-case scenario is that “the good light” will go out and we will experience “the bad light.” If that happens, people who practice on behalf of the good light will be even more pressed to “fight” against “whatever darkness is coming,” he said.

    I asked him, “Fight how?”

“Fight like hell!” he said. “Fight like hell on the side of the road.”….

Correction Al’s last name is Matthews not Williams. Al is open to the things of Lord and appreciates prayer as he
was terrorized by some of his ufo experiences and is now trying to figure out what has happened to him.
Not only has he had missing time, ufo sightings, beams of light shot at him, an alien face appear on his TV, etc.
He became so paranoid that he left Quebec to now live on the west coast of Canada.

  11. Hi Lynn,

Thanks for the Sunday post! Love it. Fulfilled prophecy is one of the greatest testimonies as to the veracity of the Word of God! Our Messiah has come!

Well, it may be getting closer. The link below says they found a “Christian” militia, it’s only a matter of time before they start targeting all of us Christians. Remember Matthew 24, but especially verse 8-10. we are possibly seeing the groung work being laid for us being delivered up.

      Hi Frank,
I was chewing on this one last night and here’s what came to mind: Why if anyone is going to “target” Muslims it must be a group of self-righteous, rebellious “Christians”. Right?
Oh please….media, PTB…the theatrics are getting old. ((Finally…transparency has come to America.))

      P.S.
Btw, Moscow’s Lubyanka subway just got “suicide bombed” today. Our BHO says “heinous”.

I don’t know anything about this group. Their website is http://hutaree.com

If they were planning to murder police, everyone here can agree that this is wrong. But, I don’t know if that is true or not.

Certainly, we have the right to defend ourselves in certain situations but I don’t have the full details so won’t speak like I know anything about it.

    • Frank said

i certainly don’t think they were Christian necessarily, my worry is how the media is labelling them as Christian. I think this is setting the stage for making us Christians have an even more negative image.

I hope noone thinks i am defending this group.

    • Bruce said

Yes, every act that seems like terrorism is attributed to Tea Party/ 9/11 truth and Christianity. That’s a great point.

      Hi Frank~
I happen to have a dry, facetious sense of humor (even prone to “sarcastics” once in awhile.) So please know that in no way did I find you suspect of “defending the enemy.” Nuh uh! (maybe now you can re-read my post and see it in a different light?) I forget that even though I post frequently, it’s not like everyone really knows me. I apologize.
At this time in history, the “media and PTB” (PowersThatBe) have a role in portraying anyone who claims to be a Christian as mad, bad, and in need of a good spanking; vilification of certain groups is high on the list of government/media priorities. I mean hey, vilify the Jews, then the Muslims and then the Christians and voila! you have the makings of Holy World War III. See what I mean?
Be comforted for “Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world.” We already know the ending to the Book:^D

I thought that it was important to put out that we might be next, but in my haste neglected to be as clear as i could have been.

We know that the institutionalized church has long been associated with politics…to varying degrees. But when born-again/evangelical believers began to embrace partisan politics as FOUNDATIONAL to their faith, well then things began to get very blurry indeed. At that point, according to the world’s wisdom, ALL Followers Of the Way (early church name before ‘Christian’ became popularized) are cast into cahoots with so-called Christian Identity militias and all sorts of other secular militias who attach the name of ‘Christian’ to their cause. And don’t forget the Dominionist movement (in which “Joel’s Army” is included) who have a much more reputable, squeaky clean facade. Even the “Aryan Brotherhood” considered themselves to be ‘Christian”! Sheesh! Might do us some good to brush-up on the zealot movements of NT history and see how our Lord Yeshua related to them. Just an idea……..
