Legion: Another movie without hope….

Posted by lamarzulli on January 21, 2010

Here is a review of the ridiculous movie that is hitting the theaters this week.

After God loses faith in humanity, the archangel Michael, who has become a fallen angel, is the only one standing between mankind and Armageddon. This time using angels to execute the Last Judgement, God’s wrath descends on Earth to exterminate the world’s population. In a desperate, last-chance gambit, Michael leads a group of strangers to a small New Mexico diner to become unlikely heroes to protect a young waitress who may be pregnant with Christ in his second coming.

I saw the trailer to this a few months back and it was unnerving. It showed this sweet little-old-lady-grandmother type, who says to a pregnant waitress that her baby will burn. Right after the grandmother delivers her dire proclamation, she morphs into this hideous spider-like, human creature and begins to terrorize that patrons in the dinner. Someone finally blasts her off of the ceiling with a shotgun. This is the kind of trash the movie industry pumps out as if there’s no tomorrow. The idea that this waitress is pregnant with “Christ,” – so he can have his second coming –  is yet another offensive and wrong interpretation of what the Guidebook to the Supernatural tells us will happen. Can you imagine how many people will see this garbage and wonder if this is how it’s going to happen? On Tuesday I BLOGGED about the return of the King, Jesus. He was born once and died once – not sacrificed endlessly through the Catholic Mass – and will come back at the time of the end. What He will do is destroy the Antichrist, the Beast and the False Prophet. He will also heal the nations and there will be no more death, sickness, or curse…. Not a bad deal if you ask me. How can you argue with that?

There is evil in this world. There is no doubt about it. How else can we explain events like slavery, the Holocaust, the Rwanda massacre, or Saddam Hussein gassing 100,000 Kurds? The Mystery of Lawlessness has been at work for centuries and continues to work even in our own time. This lawlessness, which is Luciferian, has an agenda that for the most part is hidden, but now in these times is becoming more pronounced for those of us who have eyes to see. Movies like Legion, Knowing, 2012, and Eli, all have a commonality and it’s the absence of hope. In all of these movies the earth is destroyed, humanity is driven back to the stone age, evil seems to reign supreme. In reality this is not what the Guidebook to the Supernatural tells us will happen. No, what the guidebook portrays is a far cry from the dis-information that we see on the silver screen. I know it’s just a movie and I shouldn’t get worked up about it, but I do because it is wrong to twist and distort what the Guidebook tells us will happen. Who is the father of lies? Hollywood isn’t, but perhaps the force that is behind this cinematic drivel, hidden in the shadows, wrapped in mystery, is….

Yep, Gnosticism is alive and well on planet Earth. Except its getting more and more militant by the day it seems.

L.A., if you don’t mind I would really like to post a link to Pastor Joe Schimmels website, Good Fight Ministries.

    http://www.goodfight.org/

Click on the Exposes tab and there are dozens of video documentaries about the satanic influence behind our culture.
An excellent site – as is yours.
    Thanks and God Bless.

Just saw a presentation by Joe Jordan (http://www.delusionresistance.org/AACCOA/) where he said that putting on the full armor of God is NOT just defensive but also an offensive move. Here again with another film from Hollywood that completely skews the Gospel message. A film that would skew Islam for example would not be tolerated.

There is one production company that is heads above all the rest when it comes to “trash” films and that company is LionsGate films.
I do not want to go into listing all the satanic films this company spits out as the list would be too long. Lets just say they are the geniuses behind such films as The Descent, Drag Me to Hell ,The Haunting in Connecticut ,Skin walkers, See No Evil and the Saw series, just to name a few, the list go’s on and on but you get the idea.
I enjoy scary spooky movies like the next person but what I do not like is a satanic overtone to the films im watching.
Again, I feel if you let these films into your home, you are inviting trouble into your household. It gives the enemy a crack in the amour he is looking for to cause havoc into your life.

    • Hi Matt,

Thanks for the warning brother. You are right on. The Word tells us to, “Set no wicked thing before your eyes.” We really need to be careful what we allow in through the eye and ear “gate.”

  3. In the beginning God said: Let there be Light, and there was light.

And people interpret this as meaning that God is ALL-POWERFULL
and can create the universe from nothing “Ex-Nihillo”.

    Question:
So instead of sending angels to destroy humanity Why isn’t Gog
just say: THE END and everithing would be finished instantly ?

But Christians have to sell books and movie makers have to make money !!!

“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[a] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”

Well, maybe we should pray this inspires people to actually read the Bible. I will.

The Prophecy series with Christopher Walken was also similar in that it involved fallen angels. the second movie basiacally was about making a nephilim for some reason.

And don’t forget the movie “Constantine” with Keanu Reaves. When it comes to fallen angels…Tinsel Town has NO clue about what they are really dealing with.
      P.S.
Has anyone ever wondered about the logo for LionsGate Films? Seems fairly occult to me.

Transhumanism Stargates And Watchers P1of 6 Tom Horn

Tom Horn in the following interview on Coast to Coast outlines the connections between Transhumanism, the ‘Watchers,’ and Stargates. Interestingly, Transhumanism, which involves human enhancement through such fields as Biotech, appears in ancient texts, he said. Repeatedly, he ran across the idea of god-like beings (or the Watchers) coming down to Earth and genetically tinkering with humans, as well as blending different species together. Classical mythology may have been a crude record of these blending experiments, he noted.
Horn postulated the Watchers needed to blend human/animal forms in order to create a suitable body to extend themselves– a regular human spirit wouldn’t enter such a hybrid form. Now, developments in fields such as biotechnology could be leading to a new mechanism for the Watchers return, he cautioned.

One of the actors in the movie – Tyrese Gibson – mentioned that the Writer told his interpretation of the Bible when he wrote the story. And Tyrese was happy to be in the movie to help tell that story. It mentioned that Tyrese is a Christian (I believe that’s what it implied). I find it odd that a so called Christian would defend a story that blatantly goes against what the Bible CLEARLY states.
Apparently the Writer either did not read the Bible, or he is illiterate, or I believe, he wanted to write his own take to deceive the many people who will see this movie.
I will not see it. I did see Avatar after balking for a few days and found it entertaining only.
I try not to focus too much on the overt messages they try to portray when they make these movies.
It’s sad that these people and those that buy into their message are so deceived.
Satan is not only so deceptive, but his methods (i.e. Hollywood) are very very seductive to say the least.

    • hopeful_watcher said

Be cautious of Satan’s message for he is a crafty one. Like all things he says, he tells a handful of the truth (for we are all looking for it) and then perverts that truth for his on ends. This movie is about as a perverse twisting of the truth as they come.

Lets look at the facts they pile up and then the perverse twisting of that.
      Facts:
      1) there are such things as fallen angels
      2) fallen angels will try and convince mankind that earthly desires should be defended over God’s will
3)God’s angels will come down on judgment day
4)There will be some people on Earth (an unborn child in the case of this movie) who will held up as a savior to mankind

Then they completely pervert this to make the fallen angels to be the heroes and the angels to be the enemy. They make the angels demonic. They say its an extermination. They position this unborn child as a messiah rather than Jesus.

This is Satan’s propaganda plain and simple. I would not see this movie for all the money in the world for I fear it might be damaging to my soul.

    • Ken, I would question which Bible the writer uses… there are many. There is only one true Word of God which He promised to protect. The protected Word would have to be one that has always been with us… the one missionaries took to the fields… the one soldiers took to battle. It would not be the Bible written by Thomas Jefferson, who did not believe in the Gospel and it wouldn’t be the “New Age” Bibles of recent years. Everyone should have the true Word. You wouldn’t attend a class where each student used a different textbook, would you? Thus, the problem we face with modern day Christianity. This is why you find “gay” clergy now for one example.

Hallo everybody, I juast wanted to point out, that people who have not been born again are dead spiritually, living in the flesh, that the carnal mind is enmity against God, that the flesh lusteth strongly against the things of God,

with those thing in mind, what kind of movies do you think hollywood will produce?
America is not has never been and will never be a christian country, because the word of god declares no such thing can exist under the rulership of the prince of darkness,
I juat got that repulsive attitude from your intro this time, that said, it is good that you point out these things and keep it up, bit it is easy (for me to) , to forget all the other things i first stated. That they don´t know left from right, light from darkness, wrong from right. And the end of these are destruction, Somewhere in the Psalms it says don´t fret ovr the sinners, because the end of their walk is destrucyion. I am Parafrasing here.

with Love given to me from God through His Son Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost, Levi a swedish sinner.. :)

I belive America is predominately a christian nation (no matter what Barak Obama tells the rest of the world, I say let him speak for himself)

    • Bill said

Not so. If America was ‘predominately a christian nation’ then the ‘good Christian’ people of America would have stopped the slaughter of 50 MILLION babies through abortion, America would not be the world’s largest producer of pornography because it would be outlawed, divorce would not destroy 1/2 of all marriages (up to 2/3 in some demographics), ‘gay-marriage’ would not even be thought of and more people would be spending time reading/obeying the Word of God rather than worrying about who the next ‘American Idol’ is going to be.

I’m sorry, but obedience to the LORD is the only real result/evidence of geniune faith.

Surely we are NOT a predominantely Christian nation…

In the big picture, the USA is “Christian” only in name. The representation of Christianity in this country is more in keeping with the form of a civil religion. By allowing [partisan] political agendas to be in sync with the Gospel, the institutionalized/Evangelical church is now wide open to all manner of governmental intrusion and persecution. All heartfelt and spiritually changed believers would do well to study 2Timothy, chapter 3…with particular emphasis on verse 5: “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
May His Word fill your hearts.

Im speaking in that I belive that people in America basically are not all bad, I belive all the things you stated are wrong with whats going on today, dont get me wrong on that. Its just a difference of opinion. I am a christian american, and I know there are many others.

I normally disagree with your assessment of films a full 100%. And I do not see how anyone who really looked into the Book of Eli could see it as one of no hope. It was a wonderful film IMO.

However after seeing Legion I must say, it was a poorly written low budget snore fest.

But the grandmother was sweet looking to you? YIKES! I knew she was creepy the second she pulled up in that car. BTW, the grandmother was never human to begin with, you knew that by her teeth. Which was silly too, a gun would not have done that much damage to her.

The other subjects were actual humans possessed by Angels, not demons. Which did seem Satanic. I know of satanists who believe angels are evil beings and that demons are our friends if we want them to be. But it is all glass backwards in that world.

I think the dark humor though in Legion went past you unnoticed. It was mocking very real beliefs that were once held. Such as the nasty little grandmother proclaiming Charlies baby would burn. Illegitimate children were once denied sacrament in the Catholic Church and therefore could not enter heaven. One old historian bemoaned the fate of even legitimate little children who had not yet been baptized, crying for eternity outside of heavens gates.

And before anyone starts in on Catholic bashing, just remember, it was also part of the Mosaic law at one time. They were not allowed in the congregations and barred from the assembly of the Lord…”until the tenth generation”. I am glad we are no longer the law, heck, with the rate now…all churches would be rather empty. LOL

For the person who mentioned “The Haunting in Connecticut”, it is an important story that should be told, because it is factual. The film however took terrible liberties and did not show it as dark and demonic as the true story. Which did involve demonic attacks that were sexual in nature. I believe Ed and Lorraine Warren documented that case.

I am a Catholic and thought someone should say a few things about the implications of the movie’s dialog. The last few scenes has Micheal and Gabrial discussing what made them different in service to God. Gabrial did as God asked and Micheal disobeyed and gave God what “He needed”. This is the problem of the movie. It sets the stage for us to think that God actually needs something from his created. We, nor the Angels will offer anything God “needs”, we can only offer him freely given love and adoration. However, the secular world will work slowly on us, and by “us” I mean All Christians. By the secular world I mean those who are easily swayed by Satan through their original sin. I suggest you consider that the Christian perspective is he who points to Christ as the center of their universe. This makes the Christian Christ Centered. Now, taking a second to think about that proposition, everyone who has made a comment about the Catholic Church should take time and reconsider their perspective. In reality, we may differ on many theologies, in the end the person who is Christ Centered should embrace his fellow brothers and Sisters in Christianity. And as for refusing to watch this garbage, well yeah, if you are weak in your faith, don’t view it. However, and with that said, this movie is a great way to look deep in to the conditioning of the secular world and to see what they are actually preparing for us. It is only a matter of time before they convince us that our enemies are actually our other brothers and sisters in Christ. It is time to sit down and have a round of appologetics and get back to finding commonality as opposed to differences. May God be with you all.
